Loved the cozy environment, they also have a backyard where they have live music bands performing sometimes! They also got some arcade games in the back. All in all a solid place! The only reason that I'm giving a 4 star is that I noticed that the drink was heavily watered down and when I asked for adding less ice on my second drink the bartender said they have to add ice to a certain level!!! I could taste less water and more of the actual drink with less ice on my second drink though!

The burgers are made fresh and have some really unique topping combinations, so there are plenty of options if you want something besides a basic cheeseburger. Service has always been fast when we've been, and the atmosphere is very casual and laid-back. Belvis burger is our go to burger. The burger of the month is blue cheese bacon with fig preserves. I usually prefer savory over sweet, but the combination is magical. We added in loaded fries. Help yourself to the cooler of beers or drafts. We never leave without buying a bottle of their jerky sauce, sweet with a little spicy. We plan our travels to make sure that we make to Neon Pig whenever possible.

First things first when coming in I ordered a frozen marg and the street corn dip. The marg was great! Corn dip was a bit runny but flavor was great! The enchilada was probably the least desirable of what I tried but the steak outweighed it all. Very flavorful and lean. I wish I'd known the bar was in the back because we would have sat there first for a bit better of a vibe. Service started off iffy but ended up being great! We will be back, but there is room for improvement!

I first went to the Last Chance Bar with my dad after we would go shooting at a dump behind…read moreColumbus AFB. He would have a beer and I had a coke. The lady who ran it then was named Virginia, (don't know her last name). She had a recliner she sat in behind the bar. Her husband did carpenter work. If anyone knows her last name please reply on Yelp here. She was always nice. Later, two younger ladies who lived close by there ran the bar, and it got a bad reputation for various reasons. I guess Virginia passed away? I went there later when I was an adult, and sometimes it had a pretty lively night life and was crowded at times. The last time I was in there, there was a poster board on the wall behind the bar that had the names of people who owed on their tabs, and I remember there were at least 10-15 people on it. (I knew two of them). The next time I went by there it had closed down, then later it was a motorcycle club bar, which did not last long.

So as luck would have it there is one three doors down from where I ate... And that's how this all began... I have nothing but good things to say... Immediately greeted by the friendly bar staff... Cozy and welcoming ambience.. Not too big or small... Nice selection of beers... Very informative beer tender... What isn't there to like??? Nothing... This could easily be a five star review and possibly should... But I don't just give those out willy-nilly.. They have to be earned.... I truly believe if I was to return a few more times that extra star would be earned... Until then, stop and get a beer or three here... Cheers..

I've been to The Growler quite a few times and have always had a great experience. I decided to swing in this week while back in town and it really held up. The staff working the bar are consistently awesome - they're personable, quick, and extremely helpful. The beer is always well poured. Their food is always great for the atmosphere. Some places tend to get lazy when serving bar food, but that is not the case for The Growler. There is so much seating available if you are planning to hang out with friends, and they have a few tvs and games available for use. It is somehow also a great spot for working - I have typed many, many papers here and have somehow never been too distracted despite this place often being filled with groups of people.

The bartender did not look at us once and when my brother asked if he had any recommendations or a favorite, he responded "no" without even looking up. When I asked for 2 drinks I was told they were out which was fine, but then I asked what they did have and was told, "look if it has a cap on it". The Growler was something my family was looking forward to since they were coming for the first time from Connecticut and had heard good things, but the bartender made it seem like we weren't wanted there. I did not end up getting a drink which was an unfortunate way to end my graduation night.
