We had about 80 people (including kids) at the event, and though it felt tight, at least the kids were able to hang outside to enjoy the bouncer. I rented the afternoon time frame, so we were given the venue from 2:30-9PM. The only thing that I found weird was that there was absolutely no attendant available at the end of the night. Overall, a decent place to rent a venue if you wanna DIY things yourself.

I told her I wasn't a fan of carnations, and if she could find another comperable flower to add to the pink and white bouquet, please do. SHE PUT PURPLE FLOWERS IN MY PINK AND WHITE BOUQUET! I also asked her to please send me a photo of the arragnement before it went out. She said ok. I never got a photo. I know why, after looking at this arrangement. I paid nearly $140 for this! I posted below a photo of what she is advertising on her website and what she actually provided. oh, and these are only ONE sided... so don't think it's a 360 bouquet (which means half of the flowers). I specifically asked her on the phone if she could make it look like the photo. If not, I would have gone elsewhere. She promised she could. Alas, she did not. Big time DID NOT. I called her to discuss and she wouldn't let me get a word in edgewise. All she wanted to do was argue with me and tell me why she did what she did and that she never sends photos to anyone (she absolutely did NOT tell me that when I asked her...before the sale). For a very low fee, we spent the night in the adorable private apartment, and some friends stayed in the bunkhouse, which was a really nice perk. Also, since you just pay per person, we were able to afford to reserve the venue the day before and the day after in order to set up and clean up - that was a real godsend. As others have noted, we had to hire a shuttle service, which did increase our cost. Unfortunately, it's not a very accessible site for people with disabilities. All in all, we're very happy we got married at Nature Friends, and look forward to spending more time there in the future!

I was actually surprised at the size of the crowd Monday, very well attended. For those new to Santa Anita go to the Frontrunner for a restaurant experience overlooking the stretch run. Serious horse players go to the "Room" - it's next to the Chandelier room. Used to be called the Sports Book but now it's just unnamed. The clubhouse side has outdoors table seating just past the finish line. Plenty of bars and food venues throughout for those so like to walk around and visit the paddock and walking ring. Not a whole lot in bloom, but it was still nice to walk and the pond areas were very lively. There are a variety of gardens and I appreciate how well the trees are labeled. We stopped by the café for a cooling off break and to get something to eat. On Mondays the grill goes dark and they only sell pre-made food. I found it to be overly priced. They state no food allowed, but I brought in my own snacks. We also stopped by the gift shop which had some unique items. I'll definitely be back in the spring or fall when the weather is cooler and more plants are in bloom.
