I thought that was odd but we paid for it. We were sent to a room with my friend and I together. When it was time for our massage, my friend received a Swedish massage and my masseuse was standing on top of me. The whole time they were talking during our service. I was confused why my lady wasn't doing a Swedish massage but I let it go. I wasn't in the mood to say something. They were giggling and whispering loud throughout the session. When we're done it was time for us to leave and we gave them cash tip. The lady who I tipped raised her voice on me and demanded more. I told her that's all I had. She gave me the worst attitude and stormed off. Please do yourself a favor, there are better and professional places than this. To me it felt like they don't care about the service they provide for their clients but focused on the money. It seems like a lot of people experienced bad service here. Also the lady who stood on me for my massage was a big back so I had difficulty breathing at some parts of the massage. And she was the one who kept talking and laughing during my service and had the audacity to pop off on me for not giving her more tip. Ridiculous.

The person who worked on me didn't seem to know what she was doing at all. There was no real technique or flow, just random elbow pressure on my back the entire time. I even asked for more pressure, hoping it would improve, but she just kept using her elbows in a way that felt uncomfortable and unskilled. On top of that, she kept stopping throughout the session, which made the whole experience feel disjointed and unprofessional. What made it worse is that she didn't even massage my hands, arms, or feet, which I would expect from a full 60-minute massage. And to be clear, I didn't even get the full time. We started around 6:52 PM, and she left around 7:35-7:40 PM. That's not 60 minutes. Another thing that really bothered me was how the oil was removed. She used a dry tissue or paper towel to wipe my back, which felt rough and uncomfortable. Meanwhile, my husband's masseuse used a proper warm/wet towel on him. I don't understand why the service was so inconsistent between the two of us. I left feeling worse than when I came in. My back actually felt strained, like a nerve was irritated from the random elbow pressure. I was visibly upset and honestly didn't feel like tipping, but still left $5 out of courtesy. Swedish massage, medium, not too hard. Most massage spas offer soft, medium, or hard pressures. I prefer soft to medium. That's exactly what I ask with Susan and that is what I receive. If you want a hard deep tissue massage, I'd recommend Carmen. She's very experienced and knows exactly where your pain or discomfort is, and believe me, she will definitely get your pain out. Depending on your pain, depends on how much pressure Carmen will put on you. Two different times, Jenny (the owner) performed Thai massages on me. She does not offer that massage. She only performed Thai massage because I have been going there for years. Omg, that was so painful. However, when I walked out, my body was like jello. At that time, I didn't live far away. I was able to drive home and fell right to sleep, waking up totally refreshed. Today, Susan worked on me. I always get a 90 minute massage, which costs $98, plus I give 25 to $30 tip. That's just me. My tip is giving extra thanks. Today, though, I caught myself snoring twice. I love Health Day Spa. It's dark, always quiet unless a guest is talking loud. There's soft relaxing music playing. As I have mentioned before, everyone that works there does not speak English well. I suggest you speak slowly and clearly, or use your Google translator, as I do.
