I had the worst massage at Lucky Massage today. We arrived on time and clearly requested two trigger point massages (focused on specific areas to relieve pain). I specifically said I only wanted my back and feet worked on, but when my masseuse came in, she started massaging my legs and glutes. I had to stop her and repeat that I only wanted back and feet. (-1 point) Honestly, it felt like I paid for someone to just use their forearm to spread lotion on my back. (-1 point) The pressure was extremely light and slow, and she spent most of the time just moving up and down along my spine in one direction. (-1 point) I'm not exaggerating when I say that's basically all she did for my back. I could've paid my 3-year-old niece to do the same thing. She also tried to work on my neck, and I had to redirect her again to focus on my shoulders. After I said that, she briefly used her knuckles and applied heavy pressure, but it only lasted about 2 minutes before she went right back to the same up-and-down motion on my back. It honestly made me feel uncomfortable, as if she was reacting negatively to being redirected. (-1 point) I was worried that if I asked for medium pressure, she might respond too aggressively (like using her elbow). At that point, I realized it wasn't really about adjusting the pressure, but the overall technique, and that's not something I should have to coach her during a massage. Communication was difficult throughout the entire session. (-1 point) Afterward, I shared my experience with the front desk, and he did adjust the pricing from a #4 trigger point massage to a #1 body massage, which I appreciated. (+1 point) Another thing to note is their stamp card system. Apparently, the stamps only apply to a specific type of massage. So if you get a body massage one visit and a trigger point massage the next, they count toward separate cards. That means to earn a free massage (buy 12, get 1 free), you'd have to stick to the same type every time. It doesn't really incentivize you to be a regular or loyal customer. Overall, the experience was terrible. I've had plenty of massages at different businesses and this one felt like the masseuse didn't even try. I used to come here because of the price, but I won't be coming back. read more

First time visiting here and let me tell you- This is a true hidden gem $55 for an hour massage- Mae was my masseuse. Establishment is very clean and very professional. When massage was done after getting dressed and headed to the lobby Mae was there with hot green tea. I tipped her and she was gracious. *** The only complaint I have is the place was cold. My boyfriend and I had done the 60 min combo ( 30 min back + 30 min feet) couples massage on Easter Sunday and it was delightful. We had called at 10:45am to see if they had any availibility around 11:15-11:30 and were able to schedule us for 11:15. Once we got there they were very welcoming, showed us to our room. The massage was AMAZING, the lady doing my massage has magical hands- she was able to get ALL of my shoulder knots out and really had me feeling comfortable while doing so. I recently visited Lucky Massage with my mom for her birthday because my usual spot was fully booked. While satisfied with the massage, the overall experience left me feeling uncomfortable. We opted for 90-minute full-body massages in the same room, which cost $80 in cash or $83 by card. The room was a bit small for two people, but the masseuse were still able to move around. My issue arose at check out after the massage. When I tipped $10 per masseuse, one of them immediately expressed dissatisfaction and pointed out a sign on the front desk stating a "suggested tip amount" of $20 for 90-minute massages, so about 25%. The sign also included other verbiage that made the tip suggestion seem like just a suggestion and not obligation. I had missed this sign because of how many other signs were posted, and the check in process was so quick (which is appreciated). You choose your massage and then you're walked to your room. The masseuse insisted on the $20 tip in front of two staff members , which was very uncomfortable and unprofessional. Everyone just kind of looked at me with an awkward "haha" but I was very visibly uncomfortable. I also want to note that this masseuse, left the room for about 10 minutes during the session, which made the request for a higher tip feel even more inappropriate. At my usual massage spot, tipping is done privately through an envelope and drop box, so this was definitely new to me. If the "suggested tip" is essentially mandatory, this should be communicated clearly upfront. While the massages were not bad, the overall experience makes me hesitant to return. I hope the management considers clearer communication to ensure a more comfortable experience for customers. read more

I moved to a further city and was exploring those massage options but I gotta say, coming back to 'home' is the best. Best deep tissue/trigger point massage work ever. I started up with pilates and noticed I tweaked along my back and left hamstring. Man! To notice just how quick the back needed massage work to being worked on to feeling relieved is such a magical feeling. They have changed ownership between the last time I came to now but still have in employment skilled masseuse. That's a huge plus. Prices have stayed the same from my own recollection and they've added more options and extra services. They also now have a membership that doesn't expire that leads to a cheaper price. I had Lily for my massage, who definitely knows what she's doing. She was communicative and checked with me often if the pressure was fine (my weak, broken, knotted-up body must have concerned her...). Hubby and I were here for the first time on 5/30/22. I made reservations a few days in advance after comparing Yelp reviews on a few different Reflexology Massage centers. While there are many in the area, we went with Lucky because of the many positive and recent reviews by Yelpers. Lucky Massage is located off Bristol in a small strip mall with plenty of parking. Upon entering their front doors you notice the cleanliness, fresh smelling, quiet and calm of this place- all of which were important to me- just as important as the quality of the Massage. I selected the 80 min/$55 Lucky Special Massage which consists of the Reflexology foot massage first. You are taken to a dark quiet room with soothing music and seated on comfortable recliners where you soak your feet in warm water while getting a cranial, neck, shoulder, and foot massage all while fully clothed. I had Eric who was outstanding in providing just the right amount of pressure to relax my tired and sore muscles while still working on my knots. He was professional and respectful and often asked if I was "ok" . After the reflexology foot massage I joined my hubby in the couples room on the massage table. Here I continued my deep tissue massage first with a sheet over my body then without it. This experience was pure heaven and Eric was able to rid much of the shoulder pain I have had for the last 2-3 months. He closed our session with hot stones rubbed along my back, shoulders and neck- which was unbelievable!!!! Hubby decided on the 90 min deep tissue massage with Katie and loved his experience too. The only drawback from our appt- while in the Reflexology room you may hear loud cars off the street and will definitely hear the Reflexology room doors open/close and people walking. Great massage for what you pay! I did the lucky combo which was $60 (prices have gone up since the last photo so see my attachment). The foot massage was okay but in fairness I've yet to have a foot massage that exceeds expectations. The body massage was good. I had Eric and he used a good amount of pressure and was able to loosen up my shoulder which is a constant issue. My biggest criticism is the owner updated their cover photo 7 days ago with a photo of a price list which was outdated, it would be prudent to have the current pricing so visitors know what to expect. Just finished a one hour foot massage ($30 cash $31 card). I like how clean and quiet everything is. It's hard to find a massage place like these that don't look shady. The foot massage room has 6 very comfortable reclining lounge chairs. And a tv screen, which is playing scenic pictures while relaxing music is in the back. I enjoyed my service. I'm a new mom for the past 8.5 months so it felt so nice to get a massage for the first time in months! It's a bit a drive for me, but I'm willing to make the drive to come to a place that's nice and clean and also very affordable. They have their own building and parking lot. This is a really solid massage place for a good price. The decor is simple with no frills, but it's clean and quiet despite being right on Bristol. The therapists (male and female) are all professionals and I've never had a bad experience there. They also have towel warmers in the room, so there's no awkward interruption while they leave to go get a towel. This is my go to spot. And because, sadly, it does need to be said, there is no sketchy stuff here. Yes, the name is unfortunate. Yes, it's right next to a sex shop.
