Linda is a highly professional massage therapist; she did an excellent job relieving the tension in my shoulders, and it felt amazing. This place is a real gem--I highly recommend it and will definitely be back. read more

HIDDEN GEM! First time here and I was beyond lucky to have Wendy be my masseuse, no pun. I opted for the regular one hour massage, assuming it would be more like a Swedish. I told Wendy I like firm pressure and asked if she could skip massaging my head, hands and feet to work on my left lower back and hip more instead. She surprised me with her strong hands and went above and beyond clearing the knots around my problem area! I left feeling super rejuvenated. Their pricing is unbeatable too, a whole hour for only $55 in cash! I will be coming back for whenever my body and mind need a reset. read more

I understand that you may have new employees, but I find it unacceptable that this was not communicated to me beforehand. I have been a customer for years, and I came in expecting the same standard of service I have consistently received. The massage was not simply a matter of personal preference. Her nails were scratching and cutting my skin, the constant rubbing with her palms and arms caused a burning sensation, and the techniques she used were not what I would consider an appropriate professional massage. I was uncomfortable throughout the experience. Had I known she was new or inexperienced, I would have had the opportunity to decide whether I was comfortable proceeding with the appointment. Instead, I paid for a service that fell far below the standard I have come to expect from your business. I understand that everyone has to start somewhere, but that should not come at the expense of a paying customer's comfort and experience. As a longtime customer, I am extremely disappointed, and I believe a refund is an appropriate resolution. read more

Lucky Massage - Lucky Massage Manager Response - Massage Therapy Near Me - Santa Ana, California

Called this place on a whim due to a long drive & cramps in my feet/legs & they were able to get my daughter & I in within 30mins. We both got the 60min combo foot massage. I had Linda who was very sweet & when she started on my shoulders I felt like i was touched by an angel. She applied a firm pressure like I prefer & got all the right spots on my shoulders. I was so excited for her to massage the other areas because I needed it bad & we get massages often so knew right away this was the best shoulder massage I'd ever had. My daughter said the same about her shoulder/back upper back massage. However, I got a little disappointed when she got to my neck & the pressure changed to really light. I hold a ton of tension (primarily in my neck & shoulders) & had a tension headache when I came in so regret not mentioning for her to apply the same pressure she did on my shoulders. The foot massage was honestly pretty bad. There was no technique, no pressure consistency & lacked getting all of the typical pressure point areas expect for 1. I couldn't even suggest what to fix cause it was all wrong. Some areas she applied pressure in a bone or weird area so it hurt bad, I even flinched a few times. And I had to ask her to massage my calf area (I now wonder if it did come with this area & only feet, which if so my mistake). I've never counted down being done with a massage but wished i would have told her to just stop & do my neck/back area again cause that's where Linda shines. My daughter said she felt the exact same about her massage which was weird to have 2 ppl with the same issue. I still tipped 35% cause that shoulder massage. If I'm back in town I would come back here but only for a back massage. read more

I (female) walked in with a friend and requested a 60-minute massage focusing on my back, neck, and feet. At check-in, I specifically explained that I'm very sensitive and requested a gentle massage. Before the massage began, I repeated my request directly to the gentleman giving the massage and again asked for gentle pressure. After about 10 minutes of very firm pressure and vigorous technique, I spoke up a third time and asked not only for less firm squeezing, but for a much gentler massage technique overall. Unfortunately, nothing changed. The massage continued with the same level of vigor and intensity and was much more aggressive than I was comfortable with. Later, he began massaging my thighs, and I had to remind him that I had only requested work on my back, neck, and feet. Despite clearly communicating my preferences three separate times, neither my requested pressure nor my requested areas of focus were honored. At checkout, after I paid, the cashier and the gentleman who gave the massage both asked why I hadn't left a tip and asked if I would like to leave one. I was surprised to be asked directly and simply responded, "Unfortunately, not today." I left disappointed because the style of massage I specifically requested was never provided, even after communicating my preferences multiple times. I understand that everyone has a different massage style, but when a client clearly communicates their preferred pressure and treatment areas, I believe those preferences should be respected. I hope this feedback is helpful for others, especially anyone who prefers a gentle massage or has specific requests they expect to be followed. (I've never given a 1-star review on Yelp before, BTW) I appreciate the cleanliness. read more

I've been going to Lucky Massage for a few years and have always considered it a great place to go, but after this experience, I will not be returning. The massage therapist who worked on me this time, whose name I believe was Feefi (I'm not sure of the spelling), was absolutely terrible. Here's what made this experience so disappointing: 1. Her nails were extremely long and actually scratched and cut my skin. 2. Instead of properly massaging, she repeatedly rubbed my skin with her palms and arms until it was burning. 3. She got onto the massage table to apply more pressure and ended up pinching both sides of my arm. 4. I specifically asked her to focus on the areas I had requested and paid to have addressed, but she seemed completely unfamiliar with what she was doing. 5. She used the towel that is normally used to wipe down your back to rub my skin, and it was extremely painful and left my neck burning. The entire experience was uncomfortable, painful, and completely unacceptable. I left feeling burned and in more pain than when I arrived, which is the exact opposite of what you expect after paying for a massage. What made it even more disappointing was the lack of follow-up. She was standing right there, and unlike my previous visits, nobody asked how my massage was afterward. I've had good experiences at Lucky Massage over the years, which is why this was such a shock. However, this particular therapist has completely changed my opinion of the establishment. I'm leaving this review because I want other customers to be aware of my experience. I would strongly recommend avoiding this therapist. I came in expecting relief and left hurting. Absolutely awful experience. read more

Here's a tip: pay your massage therapist a decent salary, so they don't rely on tips as a main part of their income. Also - if it was an exceptional service, then they would get a tip that reflects that. read more

Friendly staff, clean rooms, great price, and a great massage. Leo is always very professional and kind.

I had the worst massage at Lucky Massage today. We arrived on time and clearly requested two trigger point massages (focused on specific areas to relieve pain). I specifically said I only wanted my back and feet worked on, but when my masseuse came in, she started massaging my legs and glutes. I had to stop her and repeat that I only wanted back and feet. (-1 point) Honestly, it felt like I paid for someone to just use their forearm to spread lotion on my back. (-1 point) The pressure was extremely light and slow, and she spent most of the time just moving up and down along my spine in one direction. (-1 point) I'm not exaggerating when I say that's basically all she did for my back. I could've paid my 3-year-old niece to do the same thing. She also tried to work on my neck, and I had to redirect her again to focus on my shoulders. After I said that, she briefly used her knuckles and applied heavy pressure, but it only lasted about 2 minutes before she went right back to the same up-and-down motion on my back. It honestly made me feel uncomfortable, as if she was reacting negatively to being redirected. (-1 point) I was worried that if I asked for medium pressure, she might respond too aggressively (like using her elbow). At that point, I realized it wasn't really about adjusting the pressure, but the overall technique, and that's not something I should have to coach her during a massage. Communication was difficult throughout the entire session. (-1 point) Afterward, I shared my experience with the front desk, and he did adjust the pricing from a #4 trigger point massage to a #1 body massage, which I appreciated. (+1 point) Another thing to note is their stamp card system. Apparently, the stamps only apply to a specific type of massage. So if you get a body massage one visit and a trigger point massage the next, they count toward separate cards. That means to earn a free massage (buy 12, get 1 free), you'd have to stick to the same type every time. It doesn't really incentivize you to be a regular or loyal customer. Overall, the experience was terrible. I've had plenty of massages at different businesses and this one felt like the masseuse didn't even try. I used to come here because of the price, but I won't be coming back. read more

You get exactly what you pay for. It's not a $30 massage. It's not a $70 massage. The $50 I paid is exactly what to expect with a $50 massage lol. It's not bad but nothing spectacular as well. She felt a little disconnected and both sides of my body were unequally massaged at some points. If it costed more I'd give less starts. But I paid only $50 cash so it's hard to complain. I do regret coming though as I would rather just pay a little extra somewhere else for something better. read more

Very good deep massage from Judy. Id point to an area and she'd find the knot and go at it. Will come again!

I love going to Lucky Massage! ‍ They accept walk ins, and they are good with massages, and they listen to you when I tell them if they're doing it too hard or too soft, they're the best! And their prices are reasonable! I always go to them when I'm feeling stress from work or not feeling good, and they always calm me down. So I highly recommend this place! Thank you! read more

First time visiting here and let me tell you- This is a true hidden gem $55 for an hour massage- Mae was my masseuse. Establishment is very clean and very professional. When massage was done after getting dressed and headed to the lobby Mae was there with hot green tea. I tipped her and she was gracious. *** The only complaint I have is the place was cold. I would've preferred a little warmer. If I'm ever in that area again I will definitely visit again. read more

My boyfriend and I had done the 60 min combo ( 30 min back + 30 min feet) couples massage on Easter Sunday and it was delightful. We had called at 10:45am to see if they had any availibility around 11:15-11:30 and were able to schedule us for 11:15. Once we got there they were very welcoming, showed us to our room. The massage was AMAZING, the lady doing my massage has magical hands- she was able to get ALL of my shoulder knots out and really had me feeling comfortable while doing so. Once I had flipped over and she began with my legs I had fallen asleep for a few minutes and had awakened to her massaging my feet that's how relaxed and comfortable I was. Once we had finished they were waiting for us with some jasmine tea which I loved it really just ended the massage on such a great note. They were amazing and will definitely be back read more

Worse massage ever!! Linda didn't close the door when she started the massage, she was rude, she covered my face with a towel the whole time (I couldn't breath), she did something inappropiate and she laughed. Never come back to this place. Unprofessional people, they don't know what they doing just hurt people when they do massage. read more

Basically it is good. Worth this price! I usually did the 60min body massage, I tried 3 different technicals and both are good. If you expect a fancy environment, this is not the one. But this price deserves a 5 star. read more

Excellent service. Very clean, friendly and reasonably priced. 10/10 I would recommend this place to everyone.

First time here and it did not disappoint! Judy was my masseuse and would definitely recommend her. Will be back!

I recently visited Lucky Massage with my mom for her birthday because my usual spot was fully booked. While satisfied with the massage, the overall experience left me feeling uncomfortable. We opted for 90-minute full-body massages in the same room, which cost $80 in cash or $83 by card. The room was a bit small for two people, but the masseuse were still able to move around. My issue arose at check out after the massage. When I tipped $10 per masseuse, one of them immediately expressed dissatisfaction and pointed out a sign on the front desk stating a "suggested tip amount" of $20 for 90-minute massages, so about 25%. The sign also included other verbiage that made the tip suggestion seem like just a suggestion and not obligation. I had missed this sign because of how many other signs were posted, and the check in process was so quick (which is appreciated). You choose your massage and then you're walked to your room. The masseuse insisted on the $20 tip in front of two staff members , which was very uncomfortable and unprofessional. Everyone just kind of looked at me with an awkward "haha" but I was very visibly uncomfortable. I also want to note that this masseuse, left the room for about 10 minutes during the session, which made the request for a higher tip feel even more inappropriate. At my usual massage spot, tipping is done privately through an envelope and drop box, so this was definitely new to me. If the "suggested tip" is essentially mandatory, this should be communicated clearly upfront. While the massages were not bad, the overall experience makes me hesitant to return. I hope the management considers clearer communication to ensure a more comfortable experience for customers. read more

My wife and I come here at least once a month for a couple's massage, and have been incredibly happy with their service. It's a newer building off Bristol, and the rooms are clean and welcoming. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, and the masseuses are all great and attentive. Best of all is they accept card for payments and tips. For the price, cleanliness, and convenience, you really can't go wrong with this place! read more

Sooo glad I decided to come here. I've had chronic pain for years and it typically gets worse with stress. I had been going through a particularly rough flare up and decided to give Lucky Massage a try since it was so close to my home. First off, $60-70 for an hour body massage is such good and affordable pricing. The facility was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. I had Lily for my massage, who definitely knows what she's doing. She was communicative and checked with me often if the pressure was fine (my weak, broken, knotted-up body must have concerned her...). I had problem areas that had been bothering me for years and within seconds of working on them, she asked me if I had been experiencing pain in those areas without me telling her beforehand. She was absolutely wonderful and attentive and I will definitely be returning soon. read more

I moved to a further city and was exploring those massage options but I gotta say, coming back to 'home' is the best. Best deep tissue/trigger point massage work ever. I started up with pilates and noticed I tweaked along my back and left hamstring. Man! To notice just how quick the back needed massage work to being worked on to feeling relieved is such a magical feeling. They have changed ownership between the last time I came to now but still have in employment skilled masseuse. That's a huge plus. Prices have stayed the same from my own recollection and they've added more options and extra services. They also now have a membership that doesn't expire that leads to a cheaper price. I will be back in another month and resume my own regular massage schedule back where it's really good. read more

Came here to have a Swedish massage and left feeling worse than when I came in. I have a bulging disc in my lower back and wasn't expecting the massage therapist to start stretching me this way and that at the end. They were more chiropractic type moves and felt out of their scope. Anyway, I'll be on my couch today trying to nurse my lower back.
