There was also glue all over the back of my laptop. Being concerned I brought it somewhere to have it checked out and there was more wrong with it than when I had dropped it off to Plug and Play. He never placed the screws back in the back of my laptop. He had moved a wire inside and not properly placed it back so it was being pinched. And now I have to replace the entire fan because the work he did completely ruined it. I am now paying like triple to fix what he damaged. When I called back to get a partial refund I was just met with a condescending attitude and was told everything he did was just his opinion. Well in my opinion when you run a business, the work you provide is no longer an opinion. I'm paying for a service that I did not only not get fixed BUT had to go somewhere else to fix it. I paid 75$ for temu stickers to be placed in my laptop and to have missing parts when it was given back. I was only given 25$ of my 75$ back.

(i told them i had not been in with it before, but he just scowled at me). maybe a mistake in who i was? never the less, it was unbelievably rude behavior. this year i took the same hard drive to Action computer in fairview heights, just to see if they could retrieve anything. lo and behold they could, and said it was not as damaged as reported to me. i have never abused my computers i have been told for their age they are in great condition. so what happened at CompuType in belleville is a mystery. i will never be going back. and i will never be recommending their service to anyone.

My computer was having problems, and I couldn't leave home. Someone drove all the way to where I lived and repaired my computer in a single visit. I was so relieved since I really depended on my computer. The 2nd time was last year when a different computer (a very heavy 27" iMac) needed to go into the shop for repair. There's no way I could have carried the computer, so someone from Computer Solutions came and picked up the iMac and took it to the shop for repair and afterwards returned it. Again, such a relief! The 3rd time was last week. My computer had crashed, and not only was I facing the loss of my computer but, more importantly 10 years of precious data. I had conferred with Apple tech by phone, and they were unable to do anything. I brought my machine to Computer Solutions, and in a very short time they were able to repair my computer and thus preserve all of my data. It felt like a miracle, and I was thrilled. My special thanks to Michael who was so knowledgeable, friendly and reassuring. The cost of the repair was much less than I had anticipated and, best of all, my computer was up and running. What a great experience!

I wouldn't recommend purchasing anything from the shop that has been repaired because he will not stand by it. Kye, if I was interested in what Best Buy would do I would have gone to Best Buy. You're a small business which I typically try to patronize and they typically do better by their customers than the big box stores but in this case you don't. Not a problem for me.
