One of the most painful nail experiences I've ever endured. The gel x burned to an intolerable point and I've been getting gel x for two years straight and have never felt this. The amount of glue used had my nail looking like it was growing outwards of my hand. The removal of my previous gel was rushed and aggressive and had a burning sensation the entire time. The size of gel x was too small for my nail bed and is literally in pain. I just paid almost $160 for nails and toes I need to get removed immediately it's a wad of glue on my nails. read more

I've now been here three times so I feel well enough versed to write a review. I've been so happy with Luchi Nails Bar! I've tried so many shops in the city and have never found a nail shop that had everything I was after. I like a chill experience when getting my nails done but also not being the only person there, just generally like to meditate out. Online booking is a must for me. Paying extra for massage time is a huge plus, too. And then, if I get Gel-X Tips, they need to have longevity. Luchic Nails has it all plus they offer a drink while you're there. The prices at Luchic Nails are great! I've done GelX 3x, pedicures twice and ombre once - all reasonably priced and looked great. They always have stayed a full month looking beautiful with no chips or breaks. That's a very long time and well worth it! The pedicure chairs have a massage feature and are super comfortable. I feel really relaxed and always add the 10 minute foot massage. It's dreamy! I love the mid-level pedicure because they take freshly cut oranges and juice them over your legs. It feels so luxurious! I've always been able to find meter parking outside, but this is on Melrose. It's a very busy street so be sure to allow some time to hunt for parking. All the staff here is super nice, including the person working the front! Always so friendly and told me I'm funny....compliments win over my heart! LOL! I had a really great experience here with Tara. I booked the Organic Spa Pedicure online last minute before a trip to Joshua Tree and wasn't sure what to expect. While it took a few minutes for Tara to get started (she was finishing another client when I arrived), once she did start, this experience was heavenly. From the use of fresh citrus to the gentleness with which the clipped and serviced my toes to the leg massage, I was astounded with the thoroughness, and felt it was definitely worth the price. My first time coming here and the placed looks nice, but service was not the best. Emma did my nails and cut me with the nail file. It doesnt look like much but it hurts really bad. I got a gel X and the french tips are messy, crooked, and overall doesn't look sharp. There were also pieces of lint stuck in the polish. After I paid, i looked at it in the sunlight and saw that the nails have sooo many air bubbles and the surface was bumpy and not smooth. This was frustrating because the service was very slow and i had already been there for over 2 hours! I went in there the first time and I absolutely loved my nails I thought they were great the service was good, I got just a regular manicure I was in and out under an hour it was great. I went back a week or so later with my mom and I had her toes and her nails done.All she wanted on her nails was a buff which I was charged 10 extra dollars for but, fine. And she got gel on her toes which fell off about 2 Days later and then we noticed that they had scraped and cut into her toes. I had a gel x manicure and was on the fence about sticking with gel x or removing it and getting regular gel. After talking it over, I don't really understand what the tech ended up giving me. I got some kind of gel refill, but my nails look sooo thick, like giant square blocks. Work was unfortunately very sloppy - the cuticles are uneven and messy, and my nails are wider at the top than at the base. You can even see my natural nails peeking out from under the gel. Adding to review and another reason not to go here. At this point all my polish has chipped and two of my real nails have broken because of the terrible job they did. This never happens when I go elsewhere. I called 3/14 to let them know I was overcharged and they owed me my deposit $ back since it never went towards total purchase. They backfired and said "so you don't want to tip" I have 3 transactions from this place: $10 deposit fee, $40 gel manicure fee, $8 tip (and that was generous). They literally told me they could not deal with this and would get back to me Monday because they can't "locate receipts." It is now Wednesday and no one has called me back. I usually would not care about $10 but they destroyed my nails. read more

The manicure tech was lovely and kind, but as you can see in the photo, the French tips are extremely crooked. For $75, I expected much more attention to detail. I randomly called to schedule a classic pedicure, & the front desk girl was able to fit me in within two hours--super convenient! When I arrived, the receptionist offered me water, which was such a thoughtful gesture, & she was very kind overall. Emma did my pedicure & she was lovely--efficient, gentle, & honest. Unlike many places, she told me I didn't need a callus treatment. I've always been told I did, so I really appreciated her honesty. Everything was smooth, simple, & fast. I was very disappointed with my service this time. Last time I got my pedicure with Julie she took her time and perfected everything because of her I decided to get my nails done. When I walked in on time at 9:58am two coworkers Emma and gentlemen err screaming at each other in front of everyone, as someone who comes to the nail spa to relax that's not the type of energy or environment you wanna walk into me and along with the rest of the customers were uncomfortable and felt awkward. I was then paired with Emma I was not happy with the service from her because she constantly kept trying to tell me what service to get instead of what I had booked. She kept insisting to get builder gel that nail were thin but in fact my nails were healthy she's the one who filled off my gel instead of soaking and was hurting my nail beds with the machine, she kept filing and filing. I asked her why didn't she soak my nail if she believed they were thin and she proceeded to say nothing. Then one of her clients came in at 10:15 to get brows and she asked to leave me to go attend to her customer who had apt at 10am and arrived late I expressed that wasn't fair because I also had apt at 10 and arrived on time. She then kept rushing through my entire service so I told her to attend to her client because I knew my nails were gonna be rushed since she has someone waiting for her. When she came back to finish my service she didn't even know how to do a French tip so I had to settle for nails im not happy with at all that's also took 1hour and 30min for the most basic nails. Overall this experience was very disappointing as it's New Year's Eve and you wanna have a good experience if you're paying for you service. This was my first time here and I loved it! What a great experience. Super clean and spacious place. It was also my first time getting gel x and I was really nervous! The two working this evening made me feel welcome and comfortable. They sat me in the massage chair, gave me a mimosa to drink, and put a pillow on my lap so I can look at all the different colors they have in the book. I had biogel done at a different nail salon and really needed it fixed on short notice (it turned yellow and was lifting after only 5 days). I called Luchic Nails Bar, they answered all my questions and told me I could come in right away. They were so kind and welcoming, both on the phone and when I arrived in person. Tina really took her time to fully remove all the old product from my nails, and carefully applied new biogel. This manicure looks so much better than my nails have ever looked. It's now been 6 days and my nails look like I just got them done today! Tina was able to get really close to the cuticle, so the new growth is still not obvious at all, and there is absolutely no staining or lifting! They told me the biogel will last me 2-3 weeks, and I believe it! I had a great experience, and I will definitely be back for a fill when needed! I highly recommend this salon! read more

Finally found my new go-to spot for nails since I've recently moved to the area. My manicurist is Nina, she always kills it and tolerates my pickiness with it comes to shaping/filing. I knocked off a star because every single time I come in, I always have to wait despite making an appointment...I really wish they would be more upfront about timing and not stack appointments on top of each other especially since most people are busy or are on some sort of schedule for the day. Currently in pain from getting my nails done here. A man named Sam had my nails bleeding and wouldn't even clean them with alcohol (Gross). I had to get up and do it myself. On top of that he had little to no technique and was so rough with my fingers, using the nail file on my skin as well as his nails to go under my nails and make direct contact with the open wounds he created (disgusting).
