One thing I particularly appreciate is that she always asks for my daughters' consent before performing any procedures. This ensures that they feel comfortable throughout the entire visit. Dr. Harmon also makes herself available outside of set appointments for questions. Her office staff is great too, very caring and consistent. The whole experience is something I look forward too and my son as well. One of the best bedside manners I've ever experienced and a gem of a doctor in NYC. As for the location itself, it is a decent size and has plenty of space in the waiting area --- very important during the COVID-19 pandemic. The patient rooms can be a little tight, especially when there are 2 parents allowed into the room. The staff is relatively friendly and informative as well. The only issue with the location might be ... well, it's location. It is located in Manhattan, which is notorious for the lack of parking at times. However, every time we have visited, we have been fortunate to find a pay parking spot right in front of the office, across the street or on the next block over. Other than this little blip, the office is fantastic and is a great place for parents to bring their kids for doctor visits.

He is so good with my baby!!! Isn't phased at all when he throws a little fit and also takes the time to explain everything to me in great detail. I wish he were my doctor!!! There's another nice doctor here also whose first name is Eric- just as sweet but I don't think anyone can top Dr. Palmo's persona

We love Dr. Gonzalez (first met him at Lenox Hill Hospital when my first son was born) and followed him from Gotham Pediatrics to this location. He has great empathy, always takes time to listen and my son absolutely adores him, which makes going to the doctor just that much easier! One thing that I really love about this practice is that they have drop-in hours every morning from 830am - 130pm and so if you're worried about something or your child needs to get some vaccinations or whatever, you just drop by the office and sign up to see the attending doctor. I've never had to wait more than 15 or 20 minutes, which is amazing for an unscheduled visit. It's also given me the opportunity to meet all the doctors. In particular, Dr. Roure was fantastic. Really took the time to set our fears to rest and was very compassionate and helpful. Another amazing thing - the nurses are great. They draw blood for the annual lead test right here at the office and the results are available within minutes. That is amazing! No trips to outside labs and the doctor delivers your results to you right away! Fantastic. So, yes, it's a trek for me, but I am glad to make the trip. Great pediatricians, great staff. A winning combo.

Review is not a comment on the doctors, but on the office policies. I called to schedule an…read moreappointment because we needed to switch pediatricians and friends spoke highly of this practice. When I called I was told that they only allow new patients to come in first for a well visit. OK, that's a pain, but one of my kids was close to that on the calendar so I wanted to schedule her. Then I was told that they would not even schedule an appointment without first having a copy of the child's medical records....including all the doctors' notes etc. I mentioned that our current pediatrician would not share the notes (weird policy but that's what they do) and was basically told "well, good luck finding a pediatrician who will see your kids. We can't see a child without knowing everything they've had and how bad it was, and other doctors will tell you the same." Way to be kind to a prospective new patient. I was SOL with them. And BTW, not true about the notes, the next two highly recommended pediatricians were happy to take my kids with the paperwork I was able to provide (which included immunization and growth records). I'm sure the doctors are fine if you can actually see them. In my case they denied care to a new patient.

I have 2 girls and felt it was important that they have a female doctor. Don't get me wrong I have nothing against male doctors. The doctors in this practice are proactive when it comes to your child's health. They make sure that my children are current with all their shots. They are thorough when they give them their annual check-ups. They refer your children to other doctors who are good and accept your insurance plan. Since there are (4) four doctors in the practice you will have no problem getting your child seen for a sick visit or any emergency for that matter. Anytime one of my children became ill be it a stomach virus etc... I never had a problem getting a doctor on the telephone after hours. Getting those summer camp forms are never a problem either. You and your child get treated with respect and the doctors actually will play and joke around with the kids. I believe that in order to be a pediatric doctor you must want and love to work with children. The doctors here show it in the way that they will treat you and your children. They lose one star because in the past I had some issues with their front desk. I think they were going through some staff issues at one time but that has since been resolved. I deal directly with the Office Manager who is professional and sweet. You will not regret bringing your child to this Practice.

She is knowledgeable, comforting, warm, approachable and no airs about being an immensely successful and popular pediatrician. She gives us her time when she sees us, has seen her fair share of babies, toddlers and concerned and worried parents and knows exactly how to handle every situation with ease. She is also fantastic in a crisis. She is never too hard to get on the phone, after hours or during a busy day. Overall, as a first time mother, I cannot recommend her enough. My son feels so comfortable with him, he is now 16 so I am no longer inside the exam room, and the two of them have their own relationship. Dr. Stein knows more that I can tell you in this review. He listens, and if he doesn't know the answer (which he does 98% of the time), he is so well connected that he has sent us to the best doctors in the city, who have been selected with care and all of whom have seen us immediately. My son got very sick with appendicitis and every phone call during the night (we didn't know what was wrong with him, it came on very quickly and he never gets sick!) was answered immediately and efficiently. My son needed up in the pediatric emergency room and after his surgery, he was visited three times in the hospital by Dr. Barry and his team while he was recovering at Mt. Sinai. I hope you never end up in the hospital with your child, but if you do, everyone at Mt. Sinai knows Dr. Stein and the other doctors at Carnegie Hill Pediatrics. I highly recommend Dr. Stein, he really cares and does amazing follow up, and those qualities are hard to come by these days.
