Tribeca pediatrics is adequate if your child is healthy and occasionally gets the usual childhood…read morediseases (strep, URIs, etc.). However, when it became apparent our son had a chronic condition, they were very unresponsive. Dr. Tong Miller is actually really great and the only pediatrician I would trust--I would give her 5 stars. Dr. Moustofi is negative 4 stars--he doesn't respond to messages for months even after I tried to follow up. The final straw was that he didn't tell us our son failed his hearing test during a well visit but billed us with a sick visit on top of the well visit. When I asked why we were being billed and why were getting a surprise referral to an audiologist--that's when he left a message saying he failed. No medical counseling provided. I paid the surprise bill just so I could sever ties with tribeca entirely. What's alarming is that they didn't perform the hearing test in a quiet room--instead they did it in an exam room where there was music blasting from the exercise studio next door which is why our son failed his test. We're at Mt Sinai now and much happier. Their hearing tests are performed in a quiet room. They're part of a larger network with in-house specialists. The doctors always respond within a day.

Why not tell me this over the phone. Unprofessional!!!!! Made comments to not trust my 6 year old daughter around my newborn. I will not be back and I hate this office. Horrible customer service and try to cancel my appointment when I paid for uber plus 0 degrees outside. The white woman doctor was extremely negative and racist. She kept asking about the father which makes no sense. She had only negative things to say. The exam table was high and she made no effort make sure my newborn was secure. It was DISGUSTING! The attitudes and no smiles were horrible. I felt very violated and dismissed. I'm cancelling all my future appointments. Do better! My newborn peed on the table and she drag him with his arms. Then left him wet. Awful!!!

I can't say enough for Dr. Markouizos and the other doctors in his office!…read moreDr. Markouizos is an exceptional doctor! We're so grateful to have him as our daughter's pediatrician. He's very experienced and caring. He always follows up and call us to see how she's doing. My baby had RSV when she was 6 months old. It was very severe and he diagnosed it right away. We were very lucky, after his advise, that we took her to the hospital! Another time we had an emergency and we called him after hours. He answered the phone and gave us the solution! He's the best doctor! Thank you Dr. Markouizos!

He always makes sure to tell my children he loves them and personally calls to check up on them. His team is one of the best. Morena is always so helpful on the phone and always ready to greet you when you enter the office. Doctor Chung and Doctor Chen are also amazing as well. One star because after a few years of declining the hpv shot, my son was given the shot in "error"…read more I called the office and said that my son needed paperwork filled out for college and possibly the menegitis shot and I advised my son he might be getting the menegitis vaccine. When he arrived to the office the receptionist told the medical assistant that my son already had the meningitis shot so the only other vaccine would be the hpv. No Dr. saw him, the medical assistant did not advise what vaccine he was injecting and so my son assumed it was meningits and asked afterwards only to be told no it was the hpv shot. How does a receptionist make that decision, how does a medical assistant not say what he is injecting, how is there no note in my son's chart that I have said over and over no hpv shot and how was all of this done without a dr. seeing him. I was in the car and came into the office where no one could explain the rationale. Dr. Galanis called me later to apologize with some bogus excuse which is not an excuse bc college does not require hpv and no receptionist should be making a decision. In addition, due to mix ups in their office my daughter had to go back several times for the correct script for bloodwork etc. to get her college paperwork filled out. my daughter needed some updated records for college. Dr. Gonzalez said to my daughter today that we need to figure out which vaccines we need and brought up the hpv issue, no Dr. your office was specifically told numerous time neither of my kids were getting the hpv shot and when you receive school documents your office and you as a Dr. are supposed to review the forms, their charts and discuss what is needed and fill out the forms accurately. I was planning on switching my kids since they are now college age and now I regret not doing it sooner. I cannot recommend this practice.

Our experience with Tribeca Pediatrics was limited to two visits over a 1-week period for our…read morenewborn son. Unfortunately, the dismissal and false reassurance we received preceded his hospitalization for respiratory failure. Our son had respiratory distress since birth and was initially diagnosed with Transient Tachypnea of the Newborn (TTN), which should resolve within the first few days of life. I am a NICU nurse, so I was able to recognize that something wasn't right. At our first visit, I raised concerns that he was still breathing fast and was reassured this shoudl resolve. These concerns, and his respiratory history, were not documented in his medical record. His notes also inaccurately described his delivery as uncomplicated and vaginal, when it was in fact an urgent C-section. We returned days later due to worsening symptoms, including persistent fast breathing, stridor with feeds, and intermittent cyanosis. Dr. Johnson dismissed these concerns, including a video showing clear stridor, which she described as "normal baby sounds." A few days later, when called the after-hours nurse line as his symptoms worsened, I was again reassured that "babies breathe fast," and the call was inaccurately documented as nasal congestion, which I explicitly stated he did not have. Despite their repeated reassurance, we went to the ER, where he was hospitalized for two weeks in respiratory failure, required prolonged respiratory support, extensive workup, and was discharged home on oxygen. We transferred care immediately to another local pediatrician office and experienced a night-and-day difference. If you choose Tribeca Pediatrics, be aware that concerns may be minimized, after-hours coverage is limited, immunizations are not required, and visits are very brief. When something is wrong, this can be a danger to a child's health and well-being.

As a nurse, myself, I am always looking for these traits when it comes medical professionals. Tribeca Pediatrics (LIC location) also had immediate timeslots and availability for us, versus the other pediatric clinics in the area that did not have openings for weeks. They also have night phone hours and other locations are open at night / weekends. We appreciate the availability & proximity to our home.
