I changed pediatricians 2 years ago to Glendale Pediatrics after a horrible experience with a different Pediatric group. On our first visit I was still a bit shell shocked. Dr. Christine and one of her colleagues came into the room with us and spent 45 mins just walking me off the ledge. It was through their guidance and support I was able to get my son the proper evaluations he needed as well as finding an amazing Neurologist. Every one you get to interact with at this office is professional, courtesy and above all CARING! and that is beyond appreciated in these days where everyone is treated like a number. We love our pediatricians. Today, we went in to test my son for covid and it was over before we knew it went in all smiles and left all smiles. That peace of mind and heart is priceless! read more

This review is for Dr Roa. I've been meaning to write this for a while as I moved from the area. Dr Roa was amazing. Not only did he take the time every visit to go over my little one but he constantly checked on how me and my wife we're doing. At the time my wife was having supply issues breastfeeding and was devastated. I can't tell you how many times she broke down crying during visits and Dr Roa spent a big chunk of time with us going over our options, fighting with insurance for specialized formula and just overall helping us navigate health issues. He is one of the best pediatricians out there. read more

When I was pregnant, I was referred to Dr. Paul by someone who totally raved about him and how amazing he is. 3 weeks before I gave birth, I called the Glendale office and asked a few questions that were important to me when choosing a pediatrician. The person over the phone was nice and answered all questions for me. When I gave birth, Dr. Paul was on vacation and, obviously, couldn't come to the hospital. However, his partner, Dr. Roa, came. At first, we were disappointed that we wouldn't get to meet Dr. Paul, but we quickly fell in love with Dr. Roa. He was super friendly, polite, knowledgable, and gentle with our 1 day old. We've been back to meet with Dr. Roa for the 1 week, 2 week, 1 month, and 2 month visits. He is always very good with our boy and seems to remember a lot about him and us. During the 4 month visit, we met Dr. Paul - he was great as well. Overall, we love love love this pediatrician office. We will continue to come visit both doctors. They have another location in Astoria but we chose this one because it is closer to us and have you tried finding parking in Astoria?? The only bad thing is the lady at the front desk. Don't expect to be greeted when you come to sign in and don't expect a friendly personality at all. read more

The doctor's at the Glendale Pediatrics Office are wonderful. Dr. Paul, Dr. Nick, & Dr. Roa are incredibly caring and patient with my twins. I always have a ton of questions and Dr. Paul & Dr. Roa always listen and collaborate with my husband and I when it comes to the important mile stones the twins go through. This is important because as first time parents my husband and I had a lot to learn especially with premature babies. Dr, Paul is the best peds. around. Im very picky about my doctors, espically when it comes to my children. Dr. Paul and his staff are a god sent. There very sweet and understanding adn caring. They treat each patient as they were there own. It's rare to hear or see crying kids. Dr. Paul likes to be silly with the kids and with the parents he gives them all updated info. on whatever the situation is. Never rushes you out! The wait to see the doctors is horrible. Made an 11 am appointment and was seen at 12:30 but didn't seem that busy. The staff at the reception desk needs training on looking up and smiling. However, once in the exam room the nurse and doctor are attentive and never rush you. read more

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this Dr...He is friendly, patient and excellent with the children.. He was born to be a Pediatrician..The main Dr. is Apostolis Tsoumpariotis (Dr. Paul). We have been going to his Astoria office for about 4 years now and the wait time has never been an issue...If a child is sick, it is understandable, there may be a wait, but they will always see your child...And he is worth it... I have never felt rushed or misguided...My baby was sick during last winter and were given a nebulizer in the office and we received a phone call on New Years Eve at 11:40 pm to check in...The few times I have called the answering service, he has called back within minutes... I can appreciate his expertise and professionalism...My kids love him and his staff! I hope he will be our Pediatrician until they are grown:-) read more

Dr Paul has been our pediatrician for the last 4 years. We have also seen Dr Nick and Dr Roa who are the other doctors in his practice. They are all great. Dr Paul is a wonderful Doctor. He knows our family and makes us feel welcome and comfortable. We trust him. He addresses our concerns and offers advice. He is patient and professional. He doesn't prescribe strong medication unless absolutely necessary. Their office is quite a drive for us and we have considered changing pediatricians for a while, but every time we go back to see him, we decide to stay. The nurses are friendly and helpful. We have waited up to an hour for Dr Paul which can be a little painful with a room full of sick/misbehaving kids. The wait time is significantly less for the other doctors. read more

I've seen dr.paul and Dr. nick both in Astoria location they are amazing. I love that they aren't pushy with the vaccinations and makes me comfortable by going with my own schedule. They are very busy but take time to answer all your questions which is always nice for a new parent. I took my son to Glendale Pediatrics a few times, each time the staff that answered the phone kept me on hold for about 20 min. then sounded like they were doing me a favor when they finally scheduled an appointment for my sick child for which then I had to wait over an hour anyway to be seen. Not only do you have to deal with rude staff but also with incompetence. I received bills from labs they sent my son's blood test to without checking if the lab actually takes my insurance. The doctors' medical services were ok but do not go there because it's just a patient factory, it's unorganized, you deal with long wait times and obnoxious staff. Very unprofessional. read more

The doctors are amazing. I would give this a 5 stars but the front desk is incompetent, rude and could careless about their patients. Its so sad. There's always an issue with scheduling, checking in and overall the "I dont know what im doing and I dont care youre here" attitude. I have never been welcomed with a warm smile or even a hello how are you. You're told to check in on an ipad that doesn't have the patients information in the system so its useless. They checked my daughter in as if she seen the doctor mean while we were still waiting to get called, if I didn't ask what was going on we would have waited another hour and a half. Theres 0 communication in between the staff so they always look confused. I asked for a letter for my job and they said I have to wait 2 weeks. For a letter that states that my daughter is a patient of their practice. It should taken 5 min. This review is longer then the letter I needed. I'm an understanding person but if you have to work with people you should have something in you to be nice and helpful. read more

Dr. Paul has been my daughter's pediatrician from the day she was born. As a new mom I questioned all the choices I make for my baby but the one thing I know I did right was choosing him as a her pediatrician. My daughter had to be readmitted to NICU the day after she came home but Dr Paul called the hospital for us to get updates and kept us in the loop. He addresses all my concerns no matter how small or stupid it may seem and is great at following up my phone calls the same day. He is the most caring doctor I know and I wish I had him as my pediatrician when I was a kid. read more

Writing this review is very easy for me. Dr. Paul is truly an amazing pediatrician and for me , simply God sent. I chose a previous pediatrician for my daughter that was highly recommended and known in the neighborhood. I was convinced that this doctor would be my daughter's doctor until she's 21! However, visit after visit, and co-payment after co-payment, my daughter's croupe was never improving nor going away, yet, the waiting room and exam rooms got fancier and fancier. As a new parent, I had a list of questions that were just dismissed as, "Oh, don't worry about it, give it time." Finally, after endless, sleepless nights, I listened to my dear sister. "Go to Doctor Paul, trust me, you'll like him." Well, she was right. I could not have asked for such a wonderful, idealistic doctor for my daughter. He knows her by name, not by "Princess" or "Sweetie". At a young age of 3, she has already established a patient/doctor relationship with him. She looks forward to her visits with him, even when she's sick. If she coughs, she automatically says, "We need to call Dr. Paul." Though I have never waited in the office for more than an hour, I must say, I wouldn't mind at all. I have never been rushed out of the exam room. My many, many questions are always answered thoroughly and with respect. Dr. Paul has his time with my daughter, and equally shares his time with me, as the concerned parent. As you can see, I am very satisfied with my decision to switch doctors. On a side note, his nurses are great as well. Nurse Chris surely has a way with the kids. Always a pleasure. I started to take my kids to Glendale pediatrics 4 years ago when my older was born. My friend initially recommended Dr. Paul when I was pregnant. When I met Dr. Paul he was very gentle with my girl, never rushed with vaccines, answered all my questions and was very patient and honest. I liked the fact that I didn't always had to go in with my kids for every issue. There were times when I could not bring in my kids and called the office to speak to the doctor and they would call me back even after hours when I would panic and not know what to do. They always return your calls and follow through with everything said and done. Soon after that I met Dr. Roa who is not my regular pediatrician for my kids and I could not be HAPPIER. He is truly amazing and very knowledgable and caring. He is very reliable, always calls back, puts in the prescription right away to pharmacy in front of the patient also doesn't push vaccines, easy going and smart. I trust all the doctors at that office and travel from a far to see them. I also been to astoria office numerous times, both locations are great and staff is kind. I always recommend Glendale pediatrics to my friends and family and would recommend to everyone if you want your kids in good hands!!! read more

My good friend recommended Glendale Pediatrics when i was pregnant and decided to interview them to be my baby boy's primary doctor. From the moment I met Dr Roa, I knew that I wanted him to be my son's doctor. During the interview process, which was after office hours, he took the time to explain in detail the process of how his office is run by all the doctors, how they have another location in Astoria, the vaccinations schedule (which was my main concern) and the fact that they are affiliated with Northshore University Hospital where I gave birth. He was very patient and answered all of my questions as well as the questions of the other couple. Dr Roa came to examine my new born at Northshore and again, was pleasant, super nice and informative. So far, I've met Doctor Paul and Dr. Christine who are both great. The staff are also friend and have never had an issue with scheduling or having a question answered when I call the office and the doctor on duty calls me back. I first found out about Glendale pediatrics six years ago as a patient at elite physical therapy- they share an office. I was not a parent at that point but I paid attention to the way doc Paul treated the often distressed parents and screaming children. He is Calm. Professional. Encouraging and supportive. He never pushed medication. He gave parents time to talk and ask questions. He was patient with sick kids. I referred my sister to him and he was wonderful. She continues to see him with her three kids. We've been seeing him for almost four years now and his practice has grown to include two additional wonderful doctors: doc roa and doc nick. All of them are wonderful. I feel lucky to have had a pediatrician in line before having my daughter. Doc Paul is kind. Patient. A great doctor. The wait for him is always super long. He was wonderful to a new and nervous mom like me and helped me transition into motherhood. Doc roa is available for all questions and concerns. He is patient and kind. He has a great memory for all details. Doc nick is kind and gentle. He does not rush and takes his time to build a rapport. with my daughter before the check ups. Dr Paul is amazing. He is truly the best. You can tell he really loves his job. He is very compassionate and he repeats everything which is helpful when you have a sick baby and your mind is racing. I did have to wait a long time the first time I went in, but my appointment was at 5pm during the week so I expected that. I've walked in in the morning and was out in a half hour or less. He is very patient and thorough and his bedside manner is the best I've seen. I would never take my kids to anyone else! He also has an incredible memory. I loooove the doctors, but I am seriously considering going elsewhere. The staff are horrible. I almost always have a billing problem. There is one supremely nasty lady at the front desk. I have shown up to scheduled appointments and have been told that I have no appointment, even though they called me the day before to confirm. You also have to carry baby and stuff down a flight of steep stairs. There's an elevator, but you have to go up a flight of stairs to get to it. Lmao. Maybe I should try the Astoria office instead? I would love to stay with dr. Paul & dr. Roa, but the aggravation of the front desk every single time is hard to deal with. read more

I'm indifferent. The drs are GREAT! We met lots of drs before our daughter was born and Dr Paul was hands down the winner. Even when Dr Paul wasn't able to see us we met Dr Perez and he was great too. The nurses that I've meet have been great as well. My issue is with the girls working the desk. The are never pleasant, never helpful, and every time I speak to one of them I feel like they act like they are doing me a favor. I've felt this way in both offices, especially in Glendale. One of them was so nasty last time I considered looking for a new dr. Lucky for dr Paul he is amazing, hopefully he realizes how useless they are so he can have the amazing offices he deserves. read more

I started going to Dr. Paul as a New Patient for my Son because I heard he was an amazing Doctor. He wasnt there that day but we met Dr Perez and he was wonderful. Unfortunltlly The Front Desk Staff was horrible. My Husband went to take my Daughter as a new patient as well and they kept him waiting for over an hour and when he went to find out why it was taking so long they told him the doctor wasnt even in yet. Also they never called either of us to remind us the day before of the appointment and spent most of the time talking about men and what they were going to have for Lunch. Very rude and inappropiate. They need to learn some manners and learn to be more professional especially in the Medical Industry. I spoke to a supervior in the Astoria Office and in Glendale and they were actually very Apologetic over they experiance that we had as a result of their staff. however the damage was done and we will be going back to our old doctor. I moved away from Queens & If I win the lottery I'm coming back to buy Dr. Paul or I'll pay to have him cloned ! I used his Glendale office, it is very busy with a huge amount of patients ...it's NYC people ! They do first come first serve. You do have to wait but it's totally worth it. He's organized , friendly, answers questions and I feel he is very willing to share his knowledge. Dr. Catherine is his regular substitute when he's away on his holidays, she's lovely also, very unrushed. He took good care of both my sons. He answers emergency night time calls himself within 15 mins !!! My friends still don't believe me. He reassured me in the middle of the night that I could control my delirious sons 106 fever, gave sound and logical advice and called back after an hour to see what was happening . The office also called the next morning and we were seen as soon as they opened. I was saved a huge ER bill for what was manageable at home with tylenol, ibuprofen & a tepid bath. I have total confidence in this guy. Needless to say I'm now having problems finding a Dr to live up to his standard . read more

I have had numerous billing issues before but I had convinced myself that it was worth it to continue to visit Dr. Roa so that my child can grow up with one doctor. Dr. Roa and his fellow Doctors were highly recommended to me by my daughters Gastro doctor and I have never looked back. The care and treatment here from day one has been one of such professionalism and courtesy my daughter is a complex case and I am beyond thankful and grateful for all the attention she receives regardless of the day or time of the week. Throughout numerous hospitalizations he and his colleagues have been with us every step of the way. I cannot commend them enough. The front desk staff has been beyond accommodating and understanding throughout the years. Always willingly to help and go beyond to make sure we are always in order. It has been comforting to see and hear the same familiar voices. The medical assistants are all very welcoming and caring with the kids. Dr. Paul has been our doctor for over 3 years, or ever since our daughter was born. During that time my daughter was sick numerous times with numerous issues and he is hands down the best out there. I've called his emergency line so many times in the middle of the night and I was always called back by him or another doctor on call within 10 mins with advice on how to proceed. I don't understand people who complain about wait-time. His policy is not to turn anyone away, and that's exactly what he does. Children get sick suddenly and you can't plan an appointment. So there will be times when urgent patients will be seen, and we better hope those urgent patients are not our kids. Another reviewer complained about the front desk staff, and although I understand that they do represent the clinic, I would never decide on the pediatrician solely based on the front desk staff. No matter how rude, you are the parent and you simply demand to be seen. These people are not the ones treating your child so ignore the attitude and move on. Bottom line this is a doctor who will answer all your questions, listen to your concerns and never, ever rush you through the exam. A little understanding goes a long way when it comes to kids, and waiting often means great service when you enter the exam room door. read more

I've decided to write that review only because i think other parents can benefit from the situation that happened to us today. I was always more than happy with the care DR's in Glendale Pediatrics offered to my son, respecting my vaccination decisions, answering questions, confronting my concerns, giving me all the necessary time. I still think DR ROA is the best of all , however today he wasn't there an we got to see DR Christine.... i'm soooo disappointed, whoever made the decision to hire her in that office MADE TERRIBLE MISTAKE, I understand that young doctors have to learn to become more experienced, and that's done by "exposure", but her behavior and lack of professionalism was just scary. I don't think she has any clue how to be around kids, from the firsts seconds in the room - as she saw my son crying, she called the nurse for help, my son is 20 months.... when she realized that blood work has to be done her hands started shaking... maybe that was her first time taking the blood, she tried 3 different spots ... could find vein.... the 3rd time she infiltrated my sons hand, and probably still didn't get enough blood for some of tests ... she DIDN'T WEAR GLOVES ...as she was taking blood and giving 2 vaccines, also... I didn't see her washing hands or at least purelllng it!!!! after all that she left the room immediately ... Parents please pay attention!!!! read more
