Chocolate strawberry shortcake

Very professional and friendly owner. It was easy to place an order for a cake and pick up without any hassle. The place is located at a cute Shingon Mission. We got the chocolate strawberry shortcake to celebrate everyone's birthday and anniversaries this month. Our family loved the cake because it was moist, airy, not overly sweet, and just the right amount of strawberries. This will now be our go to spot for our cakes for special occasions. We are so glad we stumbled upon this small business.

Two slices of toast topped with cream cheese, smoked salmon, red onion, capers, and fresh dill, served with a side salad tossed in a balsamic dressing. They even include a lemon wedge to squeeze over your salmon. Such a thoughtful touch, and it's almost too pretty to eat. This is my very favorite thing to order here. Don't get me wrong, I drool over their pastries, especially the medialuna. But when I want a light lunch that is still filling and savory, this is it. Everything tastes fresh and put together with care. If you haven't been to Momona Bakery yet, go for the pastries, stay for the salmon toast.

I ended up trying the Mango Danish, and it was outstanding. The pastry was beautifully flaky, buttery, and crisp, while the mango filling was fresh, vibrant, and not overly sweet. Every bite tasted like a perfect blend of classic pastry and tropical Maui flavors. The bakery was clean, inviting, and smelled amazing the moment I walked in. The staff was friendly and efficient, even with a steady flow of customers. If you're in Maui and love pastries, Momona is a must-visit. I'll definitely be back to try more of their menu.

Lattes. I forget what they were. One had coconut and the other was some sort of Carrot cake. Both were a 5/5.

The sponge cake is so light, and the cream fillings are just as light, paired with fresh fruit. Nothing about it weighs you down. The strawberry and cream is my favorite, with the matcha strawberry coming in at a close second. But honestly, my suggestion is to go with the sampler box and get a slice of everything: strawberry, ube, mango, banana, matcha, and cookies and cream. You won't regret it. Just make sure to go early, because they sell out fast. Aside from the roll cakes, they also have bentos, musubi, and sandwiches, so there's plenty to love here. Shikeda does beautiful Japanese-inspired bento and patisserie, and if you have a sweet tooth but want something on the lighter side, this is the spot. Highly recommend!

While it's a bit of a turn off for me when there are no prices displayed for any of the items, I'll still support you at least one time. There was the spam only musubi and one with egg which is what left with me. Initial visual is that it's juicy because of all the space and rolled in furukaki which are both things that I love! Nice hot when it left in my hand and out the door we went. The taste is good as the sauce wasn't too salty and the rice was just right; not to hard or soft. The rice was still able to hold together and the additional furukaki was generous. Nice shop to try! Street parking was easy for us this time

Aloha fellow BES' Kine Goodies Seekers!…read more I LOVE MANUELA MALASADAS so.stop by every time I go to Costco! They are right across the street so I may drive to the lot right next to the truck or just run across the street ! It's a cute, very clean food truck right off the hotel driveway & parking lot with parking stalls right near it in case you buy a bunch to take home. Or have a car full of luggage from your flight to Maui since it's just down the way from OGG airport. Malasadas put donuts to shame!!! ESPECIALLY if you like gooey fillings & toppings. My favorite ones are around Christmas but they have tons of regular fillings. I can never get less than three because I can't pass up my chance to try new ones. They have wonderful staff... especially the manager Sabrina...really know their way around dough and they do not scrimp on the Malasadas itself or the fillings! They ONLY cook just for you... so plan a few minutes wait but they have picnic tables under a tarp right there or you can walk around the other food trucks. But definitely at least take your first bites there while they're hot out of the frier!!! 'Only ONE piece of advice: ... G O. H U N G R Y !!!! ...

Since it was Sunday, I decided today was the day. I'm not a big coffee connoisseur because of a health condition I have and caffeine can affect me but I do love coffee (even if it doesn't love me) but I'll usually go with a Tea option or Smoothie. I decided on a simple smoothie so I got the Keiki Smoothie with Banana, Strawberry and Apple Juice. I asked the waitress what sandwich is the most popular and she said the Turkey Pesto Melt and boy did that hit! It really was the BEST sandwich. It was on a crispy, flaky...and might I add...buttery croissant with thick slices of turkey, tomato, creamy pesto aioli and melted provolone! It came with some chips and dill pickle on the side. The only downside was the price-it was about $17 so I'm sure I'll treat myself once in a good while to this. My small smoothie was $8 but refreshing nonetheless. I love the vibes inside with hanging plants and art work throughout. There was someone doing remote work or school in the corner with her sleepy golden retriever next to her, a few locals outside and some visitors inside. The workers are friendly and I saw one clean the outside tables right away after a few parties left. A nice spot to hit up for some nice breakfast, lunch and a coffee with a friend.
