My son and I came here before a Silvertips game and to say the food was delicious is an over statement. We ordered the Spaghetti Carbonara and it was the best pasta I've ever had! I'm amazed to see how many people seem to like the great way this place makes sub-par Italian food. Portions are very small for the price but I suppose if you consider the location, this would be the only or their option around for the folks in the area. This place tries to present an upscale atmosphere but really can compare to a pizza parlor dressed up in decor from the 1990s. In addition to the food, ambience, the service is another thing worth mentioning; it lacks the level of care you'd expect from an Italian restaurant. I've seen many tables wait up to 30 minutes to get their order taken and there have been times where people are seated to a dirty table (myself included) where the table cloths are dirty or the silverware/plates seems to have still have bits of food on them. read more

On a whim after a very long and stressful day, decided to treat myself to a solo dinner. Read the reviews and saw the Guanciale in the Carbonara instead of Pancetta....Im in! Walked in on a Tuesday around 5:00. Still pretty quiet and opted for the bar for seating. Ordered a rosé that the server (I think Alex-im terrible with names) suggested, spot on. The food was fantastic! Highly recommend the Calamari. Our server Bepi- made our experience great. He was attentive, spot on timing and we even learned a bit about the Southern region of Italy. The live piano music was a real treat. It was beautiful and low enough to still converse at our table. If there was anything I'd recommend it would be to expand your wine list. The food and service both beyond my expectations!!!!! I'm usually a very picky person and all the great reviews here doesn't lie. We had snow crab and prawn pasta and mushroom and sausage Pappardelle. They were equally amazing. Personally I prefer this restaurant over the olive and caper(still good), it tastes way better than a lot of highly rated Italian restaurants in Seattle and Bellevue . We just tried Luca's for first time last night and I'm so glad we did! I had the Ravioli Al' Aragosta which was absolutely delicious and my sister had the Prime rib from the special of the day. The Prime rib was a vey large cut and was cooked to perfection, she was very happy with her choice and the Ravioli Al' Aragosta was in a light & creamy flavorful sauce and again it was cooked perfectly. Unfortunately and because the food looked so amazing we ate everything before we could get a picture of it, but trust me it was fantastic. We also loved the choices on the wine menu and went with the Villa Tonino Nero D'Avola which paired wonderfully with our entrees. Our waitress took great care of us. She was very friendly and attentive and she did a great job explaining any menu questions we had. The restaurant has a very clean look with white tablecloths, comfortable seating and beautiful lighting fixtures throughout. It's cozy yet at the same time quite big and spread out. The bar is beautiful and looks to have just about anything you would like to drink. If you're looking for a new restaurant to try in Everett, Luca's should definitely be on your list. read more

Second visit to Luca's. First visit was perfect! The food outstanding, service impeccable and our group of 5 had a great time that evening. We liked it so much we returned the next week with a few other friends so they could enjoy this new find of ours. I understand it was New Years Eve but the service was way below par. Our waitress had a hard time understanding our questions. For example, I asked the price of the three specials and she just described them to us again. I had to ask three times to get the prices of the specials. We asked if the bill could be split three ways and she said no, they are not able to do that with their computers??? Not sure I believe that answer. The woodfire pizza is outstanding (takes up 1/4 of the menu) but when one of our party ordered it the waitress went to the chef and came back and said no pizza tonight on New Years Eve. Again, understand concessions need to be made for holiday but either tell us when we made our reservations or somehow inform guests before they study the menu then order. Last issue, the bread. On our first visit, the waiter brought out two baskets of yummy bread. On our second visit the same thing, HOWEVER, they charged us for the bread this time. We did ask for a third basket so I would have understood paying for the one we ASKED for, but not for the one the waitress voluntarily put on our table. I am very disappointed with our visit that night and how much I hyped up this restaurant to our friends. I kept telling them this was not our experience on our first visit. Will we be back?? Not sure but if we do, I will make sure we get the waiter we had on our first visit. read more

I'm so happy to have found this amazing little place! I had the Pizza Di Luca followed by a wonderful piece of cappuccino cheesecake. The wood fired pizza was cooked perfectly with just enough mozzarella (which in my books, means it was loaded!) the cheesecake was delicious and smooth with a hint of cappuccino, not so much as to overpower the cheesecake! The atmosphere is casual and stylish with a very kind and attentive staff. As I travel to Everett frequently, I will certainly be dining here again! read more

I don't remember a lot of comebacks doing so good. Luca definitely delivers. Walked in sat at the bar and ordered a cab sav. Ordered the Brushetta, fresh tomatoes with olive oil and some pepper chini oil to spice up, I absolutely demolished it. Next was the Veal Marsala. Crispy veal with a savory cream sauce and sautéed mushrooms. Along with a sautéed vegetable melody really kept things light and tasty. Lastly I finished my Italian journey with the Tiramisu, can't mess with that, light, delicate and delicious. Try a Change this summer before it's over, clean restaurant and wonderful food. Just enjoyed a delightful dinner here to celebrate our anniversary. Bruschetta appetizer, for our entrees I had the carbonara and hubby had the lobster ravioli. Finished with the panna cotta and some limoncello. Enjoyed some great wine with dinner as well. Everything was delicious, service was super friendly and attentive. A fantastic Family Restaurant! We were very impressed with our experience at Luca. Our server was pulling double duty as bartender and took our order and made our drinks very quickly! He was funny and knowledgeable. The food is fantastic and more of a home-cooked feel. They have very fresh ingredients and you can tell everything is made to order. They have a full bar with a great selection of spirits and craft cocktails. We felt like we were around family when seeing their staff interact and be playful with us. Restaurants like this are sadly becoming more rare and we cannot wait to come back to Luca. read more

I'll start by saying that my fiancé and I stopped here and later this week we will be bringing my fiancé's mother to join us. It was that good! We were actually making sure she was available while at Luca's as she's only in the area for a short time. The whole staff had a family feel. The owner, Pepe, himself stopped by our table to check on us and make sure we were well served and everything was right. And we enjoyed socializing a bit with him. (Ask him why he chose Everett.) Our waitress was friendly, fun, and genuine. To the point that she noticed the engagement pic on my fiancé's lock screen and commented on how cute it was which got the two chatting. This was perfect because it left the tiramisu available... Right, Luca's is a restaurant and the food is amazing. Between the two of us we ordered the Mediterranean salad, margarita pizza and the tiramisu. I'll start at the beginning. The salad was fresh and well put together. I'm a stickler for tomatoes and these were spot on. Even more so, coming from New York, I'm a stickler for pizza. This was a win. Great crust, an even layer of flavorful sauce, and just the right amount of properly melted cheese. You could actually taste the quality of the ingredients that composed each as well. Oh and they made it heart shaped because we were talking about weddings and engagements. And then the tiramisu. Just go and get it. If you don't you're actually missing out. The FOMO *is* real here. The only issue I can take up was that their Stella tap was foamy and not settling properly. I was offered a peroni which is a fine substitute. They opened 9 days ago. I can easily overlook a kink like this when everything else is as awesome as it was. The last thing is the vibe of the place. I truly felt like the owner wants his patrons to enjoy the experience from the food to the experience. And it was definitely appreciated. read more

Our first time here, staff was friendly, restaurant was cute. We started with the bruschetta appetizer which was amazing and very reasonably priced. For an entree we decided to each order a side Caesar and share a pasta dish which we added "Prawns" to. The Caesar's were 100% bag salad kit, that funky taste of the preservative that is sprayed on the romaine was more than evident, the dressing was a give away for nothing that even came out of a bottle, the croutons were even the tiny ones found in kits. Luca charged us $16 per salad!! This is beyond robbery, it's disgusting!! The waiter when taking our order asked if wanted to add a protein and suggested "prawns". What we got were 7-8 quarter dollar size frozen shrimp. The pasta itself had entirely too much salt and pepper, but was t actually too bad. Overall, because of their price gouging I wouldn't go back if it was the only thing open in town. read more

Absolutely love this place. I'm a broke college student and can still afford this place and get that classy restaurant experience. The staff are amazing, they are full of good stories, they are proud of their restaurant and proud of the food they serve. I've heard the pizza is less good but the pasta is mind blowing. Came here after it changed from chiantis to Lucas and have to say I'm pretty sad. The service was 10/10 loved the staff, and actually recognized a few of the same faces as before which was nice to see. But the menu and food just isn't up to par to what it was before. They had a halibut special on the menu the night we came and 4 out of our 10 person party got the fish and it was VERY fishy, like you could smell it from across the table. 2 of the 4 people wouldn't even eat it. I had the pancetta pasta ( I forget the name now ) and that was pretty good but it wasn't anything wow about it very bland. The best part of the meal was the charcuterie board as they do use really nice cheeses it tastes like and the meat tasted of quality too. The bruschetta was also pretty tasty. The calamari was also very fishy, I think they aren't using fresh fish or maybe it's old? I'm not sure. I would probably give them a second chance after they establish a little more. read more

My husband and I ate at this restaurant for our one year wedding anniversary and 9th year anniversary dinner last night and we really liked it. It reminded me of the food I ate in Rome which was fantastic. Our server was really nice and always checking on us and reassuring that food will come out soon. Service: So before people go in and complain about the service, you need to understand that there were only two people serving, and I think the owner was doing both server and bartending tasks, but they were very polite and they worked very efficiently together. Our server has memorized all of the orders without any pens or tablets, and we ordered a good amount of food for just the two of us. And when she handed us the check, she was being super sweet and asked if we had any complaints please let her know, which of course we didn't. We were happy with her service. Food: everything tasted great and authentic. We had order the Luca pizza which has sausage and mushrooms and linguini di mare (seafood linguini) to start. They also bring you bread ($4) in the beginning before you order. I loved the pasta to seafood ratio, and the sauce was my favorite. I was dipping bread in the leftover sauce while waiting for our next entrees. For protein dishes we got the filet mignon and veal, which both were cooked to perfection and husband and I loved the sauce on the veal. But filet mignon sauce, next time we will most likely ask if they can keep it on the side so we can adjust how much sauce we want on the meat. It's just a preference, I like tasting the meat more than the sauce. And finally we finished with a cappuccino flavored cheesecake and tiramisu, OMG these desserts were amazing! Husband and I couldn't eat tiramisu for a while because we had some of the best in Rome back in May so we were thankful that this restaurant did not disappoint. We look forward to going back to try their cannoli and panna cotta next time. read more

Coming from Orcas Island where food is a religion, we never thought we would find an equal in Everett, but wow were we pleasantly surprised! We'd had a very rough day and were not dressed up, but saw an Italian restaurant on Hewett and took our chances. It took me back to Venice. Each table was lit individually, great music that wasn't too loud (I also saw a piano by the fireplace), and scenes of Italy on the walls and on a large screen. Starting with a wonderful wine recommendation, I chose Veal Marsala which I hadn't had in years for my entre' and it was delicious. My partner chose a salmon that was very ample and done perfectly. The service was prompt, cheerful, entertaining, friendly and attentive to everyone. This was SUCH a lovely surprise. We were aimlessly roaming Everett (having realized for the 800th time that yes, Katana sushi is indeed closed on Sunday), and impulsively decided to try Luca. First surprise: check out those table settings! I haven't seen such a beautifully set table since Herbfarm. No roll ups! All the cutlery arranged nicely, cloth napkins and snowy tablecloth, wine glasses await. Nobody bothers with that anymore! Second surprise: amazing service. I needed a few more moments to ponder the menu- which was promising... smallish but focused, with a lot of nice looking possibilities. And THEN, a miracle occurred and the server didn't disappear into the ether for a half hour! She noticed exactly when we decided and popped right over, and offered a bunch of delicious sounding specials. Third surprise: the food was stunningly good. Anyway, I got the lamb chops with mushroom risotto, my husband went for the ribeye special. Everything was absolutely amazing. The lamb chops were not remotely gamey, cooked perfectly and had this awesome like whisper of lemon zest (?) going on. Risotto, perfect. I'm guessing the mushrooms are from Black Forest next door? Two thumbs up, whatever. Oyster, shiitake and a bunch of others. Really, really good grated cheese. My husband's rib eye was ridiculously tasty. The sides were so good too; arugula, cauliflower, quartered potatoes and so forth. Anyway. Neither of us was looking particularly polished- lonnnng work week, and my husband was literally splotched with roofing tar!- yet the service was impeccable and the food was fantastic. I had srs FOMO over the antipasto plate the folks next to us got; next time. Also it looks like the carbonara doesn't have cream (or worse, peas) and I cannot wait to try it. read more

100% FABULOUS!! When you travel for work it's serendipitous to find the best local restaurant where the service is outstanding and the food is even better. Luca is that place. The fish, fruits and vegetables are hand picked locally by the owner multiple times a week to ensure only the freshest ingredients are presented. The fish of the day specials and carbonara are over the top delicious and the house made tiramisu and cappuccino cheesecake are something out of a romance novel.
