Everything is prepared fresh daily including the pizza dough....so sometimes they run out....and I think they don't make pizza on the weekend, to focus on other dishes. I have been wanting to stop by this place since they opened. I finally got the chance tonight with my husband and my 12 year old daughter to celebrate my 40th birthday. A Wednesday night, we got there about 5pm with no problem being sat. The waiter was extremely friendly, a touch chatty but we like that from time to time and he still 'read the room' well. My daughter and I just went to Italy a few months ago and this was like being transported back. Phenomenal food. We had caprese, margherita pizza, pasta carbonara, lobster ravioli, pepperoni pizza (the margarita was so good my husband just had to try more) and capped it off with the lemon mascarpone cake and a pistachio ricotta cake. Every bite was so fresh, so vibrant and so clean. We all can't wait to go back and make this a regular rotation in our dinners. The wine knowledge was fabulous as well! We celebrated my son's birthday Saturday night at Luca and he could not have chosen a more perfect restaurant! We were seated right away, our server went through the additional Chef's specials, and were served water and a lovely bread basket. My son asked for a white wine recommendation, the server had 2 favorites, so she brought a sample of both for him to try. He chose a very nice Chardonnay. We started the meal with the clams in a butter sauce (wonderful for dipping the bread in). Our entrees were the cheese ravioli, spaghetti carbonara, and the lamb chop. We each enjoyed every bite! We ordered a bottle of red wine with our meal, also fantastic! Although we were full from our meal, we had to try desserts. We had the lemon marscapone cake, the chocolate hazelnut cake, and an espresso martini. All were delicious! It is a very intimate restaurant. The service was impeccable and the food was delightful. Came to celebrate an anniversary. Ordered the filet mignon and a linguine Di Mare. The steak was very delicate, melted in your mouth like butter type of deliciousness. The linguine was also good. Food was amazing! Everything we ate was delicious. Started with the clams, the broth was perfectly seasoned and great for dipping warm fresh bread. The caprese salad was yummy as well, high quality oil/balsamic vinegar and tasty ingredients. Mains didn't disappoint! The pasta was scrumptious and we'll be back to try others. My husband ate every last bite of he's lamb and it was cooked to perfection. The homemade tiramisu was a perfect dessert and ending to a wonderful meal. I'd recommend ordering it and taking some to go! We ate it up so quickly I didn't have a chance to catch a photo. It reminded me of freshly made tiramisu from Italy. Service was splendid. My 2 girlfriends and I went to the matinee at Village theater Sunday and decided to try this restaurant. I was nervous as my friends are both foodies and live in Seattle where there are amazing restaurants. When we walked in I was amazed at what a beautiful restaurant it was. The ambience was lovely. We asked about a wine choice and our waiter recommended a Cabernet which was wonderful. They only have Italian red wine which none of us were familiar with. For an appetizer we shared and enjoyed the caprese salad and it was perfect. I ordered the lamb chops for my entree, cooked as I asked, served with the most wonderful risotto I've ever had. One friend had the mushroom risotto and it too was great. Last but not least, my friend had a pasta dish which was prepared with wild boar in a red sauce, once again amazing! I'm so excited to share this restaurant with my friends! A must try! read more

Tried Luca for the first time & it did not disappoint. Our waiter, Eric, was phenomenal! He was entertaining & attentive. I had the special, which was crab & shrimp fettuccine with lemon cream sauce yummy. My husband had the Pappardelle with sausage & and mushrooms, which he said was delicious. Went on New Year's Eve for some pasta. The reviews were great so I have been wanting to try this place. We went in and were seated right away (great!). Then we waited for 20 full mins to order food. During this time, we saw servers go past us like 20 times to ask neighboring tables if they need more water, wine, bread, etc. I honestly think they would have made us wait more but came and got our order because I asked them to take our order!! Anyways, the owner came and took the order. He did not apologize but said, u see we're busy... I let him know we waited 20 mins to order food and he again said, "it's new year's eve, we're busy. I'm here now so do you want to order." I was a little shocked he said this. So anyways, we ordered and ate. We ordered: - linguine al mare --my usual choice at Italian-- this was OK but not phenomenal - spaghetti and meatballs --hubby's usual choice at Italian--meatballs were very dry and not much taste to it - Caesar salad to share -- this was the best item we ordered this night - raspberry cheesecake --like 1.5 inches tall and 2 inches long (about half size of cheesecake from Cheesecake factory) for $10 and it was very mediocre. Would I go back...? Most likely not. i did not care for the mediocre food with 20 min wait to order food. read more

There used to be a different Italian restaurant at this location, but Luca is a new name and fresh ownership and so much better than the previous establishment! Everything is fresh, imported from Italy, and influenced by the tastes of Sicily. The interior decor is refreshed and brightened up, and the staff is amazing! Now for the food... the menu is small and specialized, but it definitely has something for everyone! We went as a party of 5 plus a toddler and had an amazing experience. The flavors were authentic, the portions are large, and the service was superb! Luca definitely deserves a 5 star rating. If you haven't tried it yet, please do. Wow! Our first time here. We stopped on a whim on a Saturday night. They were busy but still found us a table very quickly. From the moment we walked in the service and the way all of the staff checked on us and made sure every bit of our experience was perfect. We had the calamari appetizer. Was amazing! It wasn't the traditional fried calamari but instead a delicious calamari in a tomato sauce with olives and capers. Wow! Amazing. The sauce was my favorite thing we had. I had one of their daily specials. A shrimp over linguine with tomatoes. It was so good! The pasta was homemade, and everything cooked perfectly. My fiance had the lamb chops. He said they were very good! Cooked perfectly. It was served on a bed of risotto. Oh, and to add to the ambiance, they had a vocalist and pianist playing in the background live. They were very good! This was a spontaneous food adventure date with the waifu. I hadn't realized I'd been here previously when a different restaurant had been in this space. The old iteration wasn't memorable, but this one is. I wanted a latte but cream wasn't available so the only caffeine option this late was a shot of espresso. I switched over to a port, waifu got iced tea. I ordered the Ravioli Al' Aragosta and waifu got the Spaghetti Carbonara. Both were delicious, creamy, and comforting. This was dopamine on a plate. Presentation was great, the restaurant feels relaxed and was what we were looking for in a last minute casual meal, and still works for a date night if you want to dress up and take your sweetie out to a romantic dinner. We got the tiramisu and it's exactly what you'd imagine a tiramisu should taste like. Absolutely rich, creamy, coffee. We want to eat our way through the menu. I'd also like to mention Eric (I'm so sorry if you spell with a K at the end), he was attentive, gave great recommendations, and had a wonderful sense of humor. The ravioli was filled with lobster. The zucchini was a weird addition to this dish. Didn't add anythibg but color. Quasi room temp to nicely heated. The bolognese definitely needed garlic. We had chanterelles fettuccine, eggplant parmigiana (appetizer) lamb chops, veal, and seafood linguine. This was our first time, and would recommend this to all our friends. My husband and I have been to Luca twice and had a wonderful experience both times. We noticed their menu tonight had a different gnocchi than last winter and we enjoyed it! The servers have been kind and we received a dessert on the house tonight! It was kind and generous of them. The restaurant itself is classy and clean with a cozy atmosphere for a date night. I was quite underwhelmed with the food. The Pepperoni Pizza was overly salty due to the pepperoni, the Rotini was extremely bland. Spending $55 for two items seemed pretty ridiculous when it lacked flavor. I was even hopeful as the hostess mentioned that the pasta was "homemade." The ambiance was dark and somewhat classy.
