If I could give zero stars, I would. I have spent over a year trying to resolve damages to my…read moreproperty caused by roofers who threw nails and other debris into my 26,000-gallon pool. I was instructed to provide a receipt for the damages, which resulted in the need for a new pool liner. Now, Dan Taylor claims it is scientifically impossible for nails or debris to damage a pool liner. If the company had simply tarped my backyard, none of this would have happened. The attached picture shows debris caught by my solar skimmer on the day my roof was installed by TaylorMade Solutions. However, based on density, most common roofing materials sink in water since they are denser than it--this is scientifically proven. I am still waiting for Dan to contact the pool company that installed my liner for further insight into the cause of the pool damage. I provided their contact information to Dan on August 11th. I am at a loss for words. Consumer beware: If you are combining a new roof with your solar package, I recommend researching the contractor before adding them to your solar contract. I also suggest following up with your solar company--Palmetto in my case--to inform them about the poor customer service I experienced while waiting for a resolution. I am out $6,533.62, plus additional costs for refilling the pool.

It took almost 2 months to get an estimate. After that was approved, it was surprise charge after surprise charge. They even switched the material on the doors we wanted without telling us and ordered and installed an outdoor door where the indoor door to connect the garage goes. All said and done, we ended up waiting over 3 months to get 3 doors we paid twice as much for as estimated and they weren't the doors we expected. It'll probably all be fine, if the doors don't fall off, but my confidence in working with them is exhausted. I had a whole shopping list of jobs for them to do. but I think I'll go back to looking for a decent contractor.

We had a wind-blown rain causing the sides of my chimney to get wet. Hissom Roofing did NOT caulk any of the chimney flashing joints, causing the interior face of my fireplace to get wet, and damaging my natural gas insert. PLEASE, check all of their work prior to paying them in full. The owner, Mark Hissom, did not like to be told he left work uncompleted resulting in damage. Unbenounced to us drips due to extra nail holes and bent flashing, short wood boards, and poor craftsmanship was all happening while hidden by our porch roof. We noticed when it was leaking through and saw it was still under warranty. We called and they came after 6 calls, and "caulked" and assured us it was fixed...well after we ripped down the ceiling we saw all the rotted wood from all the shortcuts they took and the leak was still there! We called again for over 3 weeks, finally got someone, they said warranty was nontransferable but offered to give us a bid. I would rather rot like the wood!
