We cannot say enough good things about LPS Computer! Our HP Latex 335 suddenly stopped booting and would only sit on the HP logo screen. HP support was extremely difficult to deal with and could not provide the recovery solution we needed without sending a tech onsite. After doing some research, we found LPS and decided to take a chance on one of their pre-loaded SSD drives. It was the best decision we could have made. We installed the drive, powered the printer on, and it initialized immediately. Within minutes, we were back up and printing like nothing ever happened. The entire process was straightforward, and the part worked exactly as described. If you have an HP large format printer and run into issues, we highly recommend LPS Computer. My HP z3100 large-format fine art printer was not working, and it was going to cost me ~150$ for a local service person to just come to my location, and possibly more to actually get the printer running. I sent an email to LPS Computer and Tim Wert and he responded within a day and recommended I try something; that didn't work and he suggested another thing. I cannot recommend these people highly enough. I inherited an HP Z3100 a number of years ago and it did well until I had it repaired by a local company. With only light use the cartridge belt gave up it's questionable origin and failed halfway during a large canvas print. Through Plotter Pros in San Jose I found Bob and Tim. And never paid any one to fix my printer again. All the info I needed I got from LPS, plus expert trouble shooting from Tim right over the phone. Bob's dry sense of humor and command of the repair process were beyond helpful. Amazing what must be in that men's brains. Needless to say I have a good quality belt in place and the printer purrs like a kitten now, and occasionally wakes up to lick it's fur and printheads. We have a DesignJet 800. Most company's told me it was too out of date and could not be repaired. We were considering purchasing a new one. I spoke with Tim and he helped me trouble shoot the problem over the phone. All I needed to do was move around the electronic boards and purchase a $10 cord from amazon. Problem fixed immediately! GREAT Local business!! Most businesses that provide a service AND a product usually make things look too difficult to do yourself, even if they have "tutorials" online. LPS legitimately wants to help people AND they do provide a unique product that not only EXCEEDS original product specs, they provide VALUE in the form of all necessary tools needed to get the job done right. I compared their belt quality with a stock HP replacement and I was blown away on how much of a difference in quality there was. I was looking to replace a carriage return belt on my DesignJet 510 24" plotter, and after looking at repair costs and\or what it costs to replace the plotter I decided to try it myself with their repair kit. Bob on the Youtube videos provided a comprehensive overview and repair process procedure that made me feel confident that it was worth trying on my own, and glad I did! I could not be happier with LPS. I ordered a formatter board (including hard drive) for my DesignJet Z3100 from them and they shipped it immediately. I installed it with no problems and the printer came back to life. All went well for a couple of days until I tried to use the HP Utility on my Mac to upload some custom paper presets. From then on the printer would not boot and I could see from the diagnostics that several files had been wiped off the hard drive. I am completely convinced that the HP Utility corrupted the firmware and that there was nothing wrong with the board I had received from LPS. I called LPS and spoke to Tim, asking if there was some way I could restore the firmware myself. He explained to me why HP makes that difficult, and without my asking offered to send my a replacement drive with HP firmware for only the cost of shipping. It arrived in two days and I have been printing happily ever since. read more

I bought their belt repair kit for $89 for an HP DesignJet 500 Plotter. The kit included the required torx wrench tools and calibration paper which were both a godsend! Their tutorial video made the possibly complicated repair very easy and straight forward and saved us around $300 on repairs! Thank you for saving our Plotter! read more

Beware of very poor customer service. I had placed an order with them with second day shipping and it never arrived. They said there was nothing they could do about the missing shipment. They refused to issue a credit. They said they could ship out another order but would have to recharge me for it. I now have to file a dispute with my credit card company to deal with these "professional". I will never do business with them again!!! read more

I have purchased several parts from LPS. I read the other reviews and I am not sure what happened to that persons package but I have always received my packages and they arrived in great condition and sooner than I expected. I over ordered one time and called and they were very helpful and deleted my order immediately. I never saw the charge on my credit card. The videos are very good. I had never worked on a plotter before and with the videos I replaced the cartridge belt, encoder strip and the ink tube system. Got my plotter back up in running. Thank you. read more
