After several disappointing experiences elsewhere we finally found our go-to grooming spot! The…read moreteam here really understands anxious pets - they gave our nervous pup special attention and offered a quiet space to help her feel comfortable. However she didn't need it and was able to roam with the other dogs at the spa. Special shout out to Vee (Vi?)! She was super attentive and took the time to understand our preferences and make sure we were on the same page about the style we wanted. When we got home, our dog was her usual playful self (at other places, she'd come home stressed and subdued). It's clear they treated her with patience and care. The results were exactly what we hoped for! We've made this our regular salon.

After the terrible groom my partner was told to come back for a they would fix it for free. She scheduled the appointment pointing out that she wanted the complimentary service (see photo) and when I picked her up they told me it was roughly $125. I told them I had a free service and they saw that in the system but that's not what they did. I overheard the lady behind the counter whisper that we were willing to pay the difference even though it is their fault . At that point I was unwilling to pay but my partner was at work and had already paid the entire amount online so that I did not have to have any issues. They reached out to the owner and we were assured that she would reach out to us and fix it. My partner reached out to Jodi (the owner) and she did not respond. This was in February and it is now May. I waited to post this in hope that I wouldn't have to because they would make it right. I understand that the groomer needs to be paid because the work was completed but their mistake shouldn't have been my problem. Oh I forgot to mention how we came about the complimentary service. The original cut was HORRENDOUS (see photo) my partner wrote a review about it and they offered us a complimentary bath and tidy to take it down. She agreed and removed the review(shady). All I want is my partner's money back. This review did not need to be posted but I hate that fact that we were taken advantage of by this business.

He has the best time playing with his furry friends, hanging out with the amazing team who takes such great care of him--and maybe even sneaking in a toe nip or two. I strongly urge any pet owner to think very carefully before bringing their dog here. What my…read morefriends and I learned over the past year has been deeply disturbing, and it has completely shattered any trust we once had in this business. Nearly a year after an incident involving our friends' beloved dog, they were unexpectedly contacted by an Alexandria detective. We later learned that an anonymous former employee had come forward with video evidence showing troubling handling of dogs at this facility. According to publicly reported information from the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria and multiple news outlets, the whistleblower's report triggered a full investigation, a search warrant, and the seizure of hundreds of hours of surveillance footage. Those reports state that a groomer at this facility, Kevin Sanders, was charged, and later pleaded guilty with zero remorse, to multiple counts related to animal cruelty, including charges connected to the death of a dog in his care. Authorities have also stated that video evidence showed additional incidents involving other dogs. Without the courage of the employee who came forward, none of this would have been known. What concerns me just as much is how the business handled these issues. Based on what was shared with us and what has been publicly reported, management did not take meaningful action until law enforcement became involved. The owner, Paul Haire, has repeatedly dismissed concerns rather than acknowledging the seriousness of what occurred under his roof. As a pet owner, the lack of transparency and accountability is unacceptable. Pets are family members. They cannot speak for themselves, and we rely on grooming and boarding facilities to treat them with care and respect. After learning what happened here, and how long it went unaddressed, I cannot in good conscience recommend this business to anyone.

We had such a horrible experience and feel a tremendous amount of guilt for trusting that they would take care of our cat. After a short stay, our healthy 1-year old cat was returned to us lethargic and clearly traumatized, with serious episodes of vomiting and diarrhea that ended up in a $2,500 vet hospital stay. A quick business trip turned into an ungodly expense. We were promised an update during his stay as well as a "Pawgresss Report" when we picked him up, but received neither, likely because he wasn't adjusting well and it was easier for them to keep that from us. They didn't even do a basic medical check when we dropped him off, which again was supposed to happen according to their website. I reached out to the hotel manager, Arden, once he was admitted to the vet hospital two days after his stay, and described our experience. She "seemed" very sympathetic and assured me that an incident report would be filed and that someone would get back to me ASAP. Well, here it is 4 days later and I still haven't heard from anyone; I would have thought that they would want, at the very least, an update on his diagnosis/condition to prevent an outbreak at their facility. Nope. Clearly, what they say and what they actually do are at odds. Don't be like me and get caught up in the flowery language used on their website to describe their facility and services; it's all disingenuous, if not patently false. I fear our poor cat will never get over the trauma of his visit at the PetsHotel on Richmond Highway in Alexandria, Virginia
