I had a climate controlled storage unit with a baby grand piano inside. It was damaged. upon calling, the person I spoke to admitted they store all their pianos on their side and arrogantly informed me this was standard procedure for them as if it was no problem. I encourage anyone to google for themselves the proper handling of a piano. BEWARE they have zero clue how gravity works and make it very clear they could care less. read more

I just completed my second move with Lowy's. I had different crews for both moves and both were equally as impressive. There were a few moving parts to my move and the guys handled it with such ease. They were fast, yet careful. I was so stressed out beforehand due to issues with our house purchase, but the guys kept me laughing all day long. I was struggling with the placement of some of my furniture, and the guys even had valuable insight into the orientation of my furniture. We chose Lowy's Moving Service because it had been recommended by friends. The movers, perhaps working too quickly, damaged a piece pf furniture -- a buffet -- which had a marble top. The top fell, cracked and split in two pieces. It is irreparable. The workers, who were chagrined, assured us it would be "taken care of". When we called the office manager, she said they would only reimburse us $150. ("$1.00 per pound"). They would not reconsider, even after a second call with an estimated replacement for the top of $600.00. I definitely do not recommend Lowy's Moving Service. David L. read more

Our experience with Lowry's was more stressful than should have been. Foreman was nasty and aggressive. They wouldn't move our diningroom table unless we agreed on more money. The workers then made sure we would tip the Forman as well. I called the company twice during the move with no help and called at least three times after and was promised one of the owners would call back. That still hasn't happened 2 weeks later. We also received someone else's wardrobe box filled but two weeks later we still haven't received a call back so that wardrobe box with clothes is gone. DON'T USE THEM! This is our third move and have never had such a horrible experience. Foreman was also unhappy with tip (which was given before any move) and wanted to give it back. We should have taken it. He never spoke or acted that way in front of my husband, just me, a woman. read more

Will never use again. Have used 2 other times in past with decent experience and business has a good reputation for the area. This last time was horrid. Left huge gash in wall in the hallway, put together furniture the wrong way, damaged mirror with dresser in which they also lost the screws for the mirror. Left it leaning against the wall, when I was able to move it again also realized back of mirror had damage and huge hole in back of dresser. Also, missing a box of items. Not to mention, had a mover who claims he was out until 3am in AC and not in the mood today. GREAT service. Never again. read more

Very Unprofessional movers!!! We used Lowys to move our office. They were in such a hurry to complete our office move that they damaged many cubicles, file cabinets as well as other office fixtures that were not handled with care. It was more important to them to finish the job fast than to handle our office move with care. In addition, they left our storage area a mess with desks & boxes piled up high and in a total mess. I would not recommend any Company to hire them for a move. read more

I would NEVER recommend this moving service to anyone. Believe me, pay more. It will be worth it to avoid the hassle of dealing with these people. First, they lied at the estimate and claimed that they would have no issue moving my workout machine. Then, the movers get here and say that they cant move it. So I had to call and speak to a manager about the fact that I was lied to and the item needed to be moved. They told me to take it apart myself, which I then tried to do, but couldnt. So the manager came to try to "help me do it." I warned him not to use an automated tool, knowing that would strip the bolts, which is exactly what happened. His response? To threaten to "take my crew and leave and then you'll be screwed" because he didn't like the fact that I was rightfully mad at the horrible service. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! read more

Poor. Buyer beware! The movers who showed up move very few pieces of furniture were destructive, inexperience, lacked any compassion for an elderly woman. Destroyed every piece of furniture. The VP sales is bogus, they file claim that are sent to you in corrupt file format and they do not return call. I have missing items due to their carelessness. STAY AWAY read more

I just had an OUTSTANDING experience with Lowry's. Daisy in the office was extremely responsive to all my needs. The packing team of Harry, Bobby and Rodney were top notch. Very professional and talented. Everything was wrapped carefully. They worked hard with such positive attitudes. The unpacking team came a few days later because of my closing date and I was so happy to see Harry as the leader return! Bobby was also back with Troy. Again, an excellent job. Extremely unhappy with service. Many broken, ruined and missing items. Made several attempts to rectify with company, only to be ignored. I did contact Owner and he communicated to me I should have paid for more insurance. In the meantime my furniture was irreparably ruined and/or broken, or no where to be found. We hired them to move into our new home. In the process, a lot of our wall art items were water damaged along with furniture. (This is no exaggeration, there was A LOT of damage.) Unfortunately, the owner was not responsive when we brought these items to his attention. I would not recommend this company, and in general - make sure you do your due diligence on moving companies, AND if possible, take out moving insurance. read more

THIS MOVE TOOK PLACE Sept 2018 The estimator was off by several hundred dollars, however I paid the additional money because I had NO idea what a poor job they had done until my final move last week ! They broke my $3500 electric massage chair. I notified the company right away... never heard back. They stuffed the storage bin so poorly that they ripped a chair and crushed many of the boxes. Several dishes and heirlooms were broken. The WORST of this move is they STOLE SOME OF MY PROPERTY!!! I just reached my final destination last week! I hired this company in good faith, paid them and now I have damaged property and stolen property!! When I contacted both Mark and Keith, the owners, about my upset I NEVER received a call back! Receptionist told me to call the POLICE!! Nothing done about my damaged property!!BUYER BE AWARE!!! I DO NOT CARE HOW LONG THIS COMPANY HAS BEEN IN BUSINESS. My wife and my inlaws have use this company multiple times for different moves, however this was my first experience with them. I will use this company from now on for every move as well as recommend anyone I know to do the same. We shopped around a little and this company gave us the most reasonable price for our move. On the day of our move Rashon, Harry, and Franklin came on time and ready to work. They wrapped our apartment up so fast me and my wife were amazed. Not only that, but there was construction in progress in our driveway where our garage is AND separate construction on the street next to our apartment and they somehow maneuvered where to put the truck and how to empty out the entire garage with all this work being done in their way. However that wasn't the only thing that made their service spectacular. We moved our entire apartment into a Pod and were very nervous that it wouldn't fit everything. Not only did the three of them fit every single piece of furniture, box, and random last minute item from our home into the pod perfectly with a few inches to spare, but I think they were JUST AS EXCITED as we were when they did! After the move the company called us because, during our excitement over the pod, a rod from our bed was left in the truck. Since we have been very busy with the move, I hadn't gotten the chance to call them back to figure out how to get the rod back, and it was on the to do list for today. THEN the doorbell rings and the rod was there, they had it DELIVERED right to our door! Having employees who really care about their service and business just as much as the customers make a business really stand out in my book, and this company has it! read more

Terrible!! Most definitely made a mistake with this company. Everyone beware- if you chose this company make sure you write a detailed list of items to be moved even though they don't tell you that!! I made a reservation for a move and spoke with someone on the phone. I specifically asked if they needed to come out to do an estimate (like other companies do) and was told it was not necessary. Maybe next time they should tell customers that if it isn't on the list, then they don't move it!! Awful service! read more
