When you want to ship something weird or to a weird place Lisa is the one to see. Had to send some DVD's to a remote villa in Greece- she got it done. A five foot long tube to Queens, NY no problem. Unfortunately some reviewers who don't get it are blaming the business for the current tariff problems that make even small international package shipping today nearly impossible. I live in the neighborhood and ship packages here almost weekly. I love this place because the owner always finds me the best methods for international packages, and they help me by printing out labels and making sure things are done right. I was surprised to see the negative reviews here and will just say - be respectful of your fellow humans, and that's what you'll get back. Awful experience with the owner as so many other people have shared. Went in for fingerprinting service (paid service) and there was no one in the store except her sitting at her back desk. Clearly knew that I entered, didn't acknowledge my presence for several minutes while I'm standing at the counter to receive service. Abrasive, short, rude, didn't want to be bothered with anything. Came in to pick up a package that was delivered and the woman working (I'm assuming the owner Lisa based off other negative reviews) told me that the delivery notice was inaccurate. Two minutes later she finds my package and waves me off and tells me "not to worry about it" when I ask why she told me it wouldn't be there. Incredibly rude for no reason and not really sure why someone would choose to work in the service industry if they want nothing to do with people. A shame when it seems like other workers there are nice enough and Lowry has always had a decent sense of community but she puts the stink on things a bit too much. She will rip your package out of your hands and push to the side and tell you she will tape them later. G_d forbid you want to document what you've brought to the business. Trust me, do not trust Lowry Print and Ship with your mail. We live a few blocks away and we're very much wanting to give a local shop our business. But they colossally messed up our shipping (they ended up sending it to a completely different address to the one we gave them in writing, different receiver name and all). When we called to ask what happened, they were incredibly rude and blamed us for their mistakes. That is of course when they weren't dodging our calls for WEEKS. Phew, I am glad I'm not the only one who had a horrible experience here. I walk in at around 1 PM and there's an elderly woman who doesn't greet me. I walk to what appears to be the counter, I couldn't tell with all the clutter everywhere. The woman acts extremely annoyed that I came in to give her business. I was just there to drop off a package, I had my labels and everything on the package. I give her the package and she says bye. I'm like no, I need a receipt. Then she tells me she cannot read the tracking number on the parcel to give me a receipt and that I should've printed it bigger for her old eyes. I said no problem, I will read it to you. Horrible woman, never again! Can bet it will be out of business soon! read more

I came here for an I9 setup as requested by my employer but will certainly never come here for my business. The woman helping me was incredibly rude and condescending. It was a miserable experience. She had no concern for my privacy when asking my social security number with a store full of customers and was rude when I asked her to respect my personal information. I would love to support a local business and I use packing and shipping services quiet a bit but will definitely stay far away from this place and encourage my family and friends to do the same unless they learn how to check their attitude. read more

I thought it was really nice the neighborhood had a local print and ship company to support. However, one of the owners is very rude and gives a lot of attitude to customers who don't know any better or try to ask simple questions. This has happened now on two separate occasions. I was publicly reprimanded for using one of the copy machines that did not have a sign on it that said for 'staff only'. At the end of the day it was not a big deal, and if it matters that much to them they should not put the copy machine in clear view so customers to think they are able to use it. I will not be supporting this establishment again and warn against anyone who expects to receive polite and positive customer service. read more

I always go here for packages, printing, etc. Lisa is great and always helpful. The staff is always nice and makes everything easy and convenient. I'd much rather go here than stand in a long line at the post office where you have to do everything yourself. I walked in here recently to verify that my Fedex package hadn't been redirected there by mistake (it was supposed to go to a nearby business with the same address). Upon entering, I got a very short & rude response that "we don't have it, we only hold packages for customers". The lady only got up out of her chair after I asked her a 2nd time to look and not assume that it wasn't there. The irony is that in my new job I sometimes need to go offsite to have presentations bound and printed. Given that this is my neighborhood print shop, it would seem that this would have been a logical place for me to utilize these services. But I will instead go somewhere else. read more

Poor customer service provided to infrequent customers. I observed that the transactions of infrequent or unknown customers, such as me, can be interrupted by frequent customers. My efforts to ship two boxes on Saturday before Christmas were interrupted at least three times as the store owner/clerk assisted customers she apparently knew as she called them by name or was aware of why they were in the store (pick up printing job or a FedEx drop-off). Owner/clerk did not discuss or review with me various shipping methods and costs despite me indicating the packaged did not have to arrive by Christmas. At one point I stated "I'm sorry with all the interruptions, what method are you shipping? They don't have to be there by Christmas." She said first class and our conversation ended there as she turned her attention to a customer she knew, printed out the shipping labels, affixed them to the box and told me how much I owed. I was very tempted to say "ya know what, cancel these transactions and I'll take my business elsewhere." But I didn't as I didn't want to drive 2 miles to stand in line for I don't know how long someplace else on the Saturday before Christmas. They sent our photos to wrong address - having charged us for FedEx overnight secured mail...they sent them through USPS...to the wrong address....before loosing the tracking number and forcing us to call USPS to retrieve them ourselves. Luckily, 3 months later, we got them back. When we called up to ask what was going on, the owner called my wife a bitch and hung up on her. I would literally rather deliver my mail by hand or via the services of a blind cross country donkey, than to trust Lowry Print with my mail. However, stationary was reasonably priced and they do have a cute dog. The one star belongs to the dog and him alone. read more

Notwithstanding the newbie gludges and fudges that accompany such a piece, the end result was a sales piece that burst with fresh colors and met all the requirements for professional printing. And the company's investment in a brand new high-end printer paid off in spades and rendered a rather drab document into a real eye-catching piece. Horrible! Horrible customer service. I went to this location to pick up a package as it's a "point of pick up" for deliveries. I chose this place as its close to where I live and because I wanted to check out there business as I like to support local businesses. When I arrived I was greeted by an older lady who was seating in the back area. I told her that I was there to pick up a package. She yells from across the room "Did you call to verify the package is here?" I respond with "I did not, but I got confirmation that the package was delivered a few days ago by the sender" she got a bit of an attitude because I didn't call ahead of time. She walks over to where they store what I'm assuming packages for pick up, looks through a few of them and then locates mine. She asks for my ID, walks over to me to grab it and walks behind a counter and verifies that I am the person who's package was delivered to. She then hands me back my ID and then proceeds to toss my package onto the table In front of the counter, making a thump noise. The package I picked up had the word "fragile" all over it. It was a bit heavy as I had ordered a picture frame with a photo of a family member who just recently passed. I get upset and tell her "Hey! Don't throw my package like that, it's a fragile item, it has it written all over the package" she responds with "That's not the worse that package has been through". First off, it couldn't be anymore clear that the package is fragile as it says fragile on it. Second, what kind of person tosses things at people instead of handing it to them like a human being, it's common curtesy, especially if you're in the business of customer service. I had to open my package to make sure it wasn't damaged. I will definitely not be doing any business with this company ever after being witness to how they treat packages and people. read more

The prices are way too high. The staff is slow and they are not very nice. I've been twice and it took almost 45 minutes just to notarize one sheet of paper and 20 minutes to ship something. They should really treat their customers better and respect their time. I shipped a few packages via USPS here. My experience was so poor that I don't foresee returning there for future shipping needs. (I hate leaving negative reviews, but I prioritize honesty, especially if it can help future customers!) POOR SERVICE: Right when I walked in, one of the employees approached me brusquely and asked what I wanted. Definitely one of those first impressions where you're thinking -- Whoah. That person's in a bad mood. I said that I wanted to put my package together before sending it (it was still in multiple pieces). As I was taping the box shut, she literally grabbed the tape dispenser out of my hand so that she could do it. As she was taping it, she grunted (I wish I were exaggerating) and muttered under her breath about the way I packed it. I found her to be rude, harsh, and uncomfortable to be around. Then, she printed out the address label for my package and typed it up incorrectly. When I pointed out the error, she said, "okay, I'll fix it", but she never did so in front of me. Instead, she rang up the total, swiped my card, and wished me a good day. I'm actually nervous that my package won't get to the recipient, so I've been checking the tracking number daily. I was bummed because I had walked into the store in good spirits but left feeling uneasy, solely because of this experience. COST: If you're going to ship via USPS, go to the post office. They'll actually tell you all the options for shipping at different rates and shipping speeds. When I asked her about the total, she never gave me other options, and the total cost was undoubtedly more than I would've paid at the post office. read more

Not dependable and very expensive. Sent a package from this location. Person who took my items, packaged wrong, sent parcel post select instead of 1st class. Charged almost double what the post office would have charged. Package lost. No support from the owner to retrieve this package. I needed to do my own detective work. Ends up since the package was sent parcel select, no insurance. Packaged incorrectly so label came off and package is now gone....I had over $150.00 in gifts for my granddaughter. Lowry printing and shipping.. Wow this place.. So not only does the staff give you attitude, they can't even perform the simplest of tasks. I had a document notarized and faxed there. Ok so she was able to be the notary but ask her to fax? This must be a whole new thing for them.. I had her fax a document in December. It is now March and I just realized the documents I had her fax some how never made it there. Long story short I scanned this document and sent it from a free fax service online and had confirmation this document was received about 20 minutes later.. Worthless.. I have entrusted this company to print our marketing materials and given them exclusive rights to our corporate printing contract and they have failed to meet deadlines significantly impacting our marketing campaign for a new location grand opening. Call and ask to speak to my point of contact and never receive a call back or any type of answers. Spoken to like I was an inconvenience to them. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone looking to have professionalism in their business handlings and never trust them with a deadline to meet. If I could give less than 1 star I would at this point as their negligence is significantly effecting my companies ability to market as planned for a very expensive grand opening event.
