Once again Lowes in Waco Tx is horrible. Purchased a top end dishwasher, over $1000. Was told that we had to buy hook up hoses new to get it installed. Day of delivery, no call no show. Trying to get a human on the phone is the needle in haystack. Phone rings 20+ times than switches to busy signal. Finally get someone, we were cancelled for the day, but no reason. Get back on schedule for today. Dishwasher shows up, but they are not the installers and it is minus the power cord as ours in not a hard wire hookup. Multiple, and I mean multiple phone calls was told we would hear from installers no later than Monday, 4 days away. Get phone call hours later, from Lowes, asking about do we want install. I tell him it is supposed to already be set up, just need scheduled. 2 hours later, same type call, different employee. Saying we did not pay for install. We received free delivery. I have a full size pick up, lightweight appliance I did not need delivery, it was supposed to be install. Dishwasher had to be ordered, not in stock. It to be delivered and installed. Was told I needed to go back to store and pay for install. Once again I have asked for store manager to call. Same type runaround we got trying to order window blinds. There appears to be no cross training, zero communication at this location. They want to blame high turnover rate, but if you do not train your employees they are going to get tired of listening to disgruntled customers too. People I have talked too in the last 2 days, over one dozen attempts and over 2 hours on hold that were supposed to be managers, not sure if they are spelled correctly, May, Areka, John and they are still calling me. I don't want to see any company fail, especially one that employs so many but it is no wonder Lowes is failing. Training and communication are necessary for any business to succeed. I might as well have ordered my dishwasher from a Taco Bell employee, it would have been installed already. read more

I went to Lowe's to make a return. I didn't have a receipt. The item was new in box. The return person said that they couldn't refund my money even though I provided them with my drivers license because "the computer kicked it back "I asked her what that meant and she said she didn't know she just couldn't do it because the computer "kicked it back ". So I asked for a manager and someone even younger than the 20 something that was helping me who also this was probably her very first job came out and typed on the computer for a few seconds. Then she said the exact same thing she couldn't refund because "the computer kicked it back " Both of them were "managers "but yet neither one of them could give me any reason for being unable to do a simple refund. Neither of them could provide me with any policy information or anything about why my refund was "kicked back " other than "the computer kicked it back ". This is the most ridiculous customer service and manager experience I have ever had. A manager needs to actually have managerial experience not be somebody who just graduated high school and does not care about their job at all which was very apparent by both of these ladies if you want to call them that. They say displayed zero managerial skills and zero managerial abilities. Lowes really needs to get it together for their customer service team. read more

They promise delivery dates and never show up. They don't call or answer the phone. When I asked for a refund, they transferred me around and then hung up on me. I've been shopping at the Waco Lowe's since they opened. I feel they're service & products are better than their competitors. They're always quick to help if I need assistance. Most of the registers are open everytime I stop by. Last year I hurt my back working, but need to get some concrete bags for a fence project. The helpers at Lowe's were very helpful to load everything so I didn't have to worry. I hired a contractor to help with my fence as well. With my Lowe's pro card, which is free, gets me 5-10% off every time. Thanks Lowe's. read more

Aggravatingly horrible experience at this Waco, Lowe's location today! From Abigail and Stacy placing my incoming calls on eternal hold because they were unwilling to be bothered with incoming calls, to dealing with Shane the manager who admitted he could have done a few things to help out my situation but chose not to -- all parties at this location provided the absolute worst customer service possible! Shane and his team of discourteous dimwits collectively wasted hours of my time (& others) with a unique situation that arose. I will never shop at this location again and would advise others to avoid it as well. I will give the benefit of doubt to other locations that hopefully are better trained to provide adequate customer service. As for us, Home Depot will get our business from now on! Incidentally, in my attempt to offer negative feedback to Lowe's corporate offices, I have also been sitting on hold for over a half hour just to get a representative. Perhaps this is a company wide pandemic. Fortunately, it is fairly easy to work with their hold music playing in the background. read more

By far one of the worst customer experiences you can find in Waco. I've been remodeling a large home for the past 6 months and have gone 90% Home Depot and 10% Lowes for building supplies, and the negative experiences at Lowe's far outweigh any at HD. The service is just so bad! If you ever ask for anything, you are met with the worst attitudes in every department I've visited. To be specific, there's a wannabe electrician guy in the lighting section who likes to impress his superior light bulb knowledge on customers while maintaining the aggression and intensity of NASA flight engineer during takeoff. He's a douche. The paint dept hosts a wide verity of hostile and indignant characters, each of which maintain the disposition that making paint is a chore to which they have ascended from. Paint being the main reason I've gone to Lowe's, I've resorted to just writing my order on a paper and handing it over, as to limit my interactions and preserve a positive attitude with life in general. I honestly walk away from the paint dept with the feeling like, "yep that's the last time I'm gonna come here, those guys (and the gal with the limp) are such pricks". Moving forward, the plumping area houses a guy who doesn't wear a mask correctly who's a pompous D, and seems to feel he holds a doctorate in Plumbing expertise, all of which is too advanced to impart on some simple civilian with a drain question. The appliance guy doesn't know anything about appliances, and the larger gentleman in the tools department is so hostile that I wouldn't dare interrupt his counting of the screwdrivers again. All this is coming from a person who doesn't really need much assistance in a hardware store, as I've observed several less experienced customers get snapped on like unwanted stepchildren by a wine sipping trophy wife when asking simple questions. I have looked and asked for a manager to express these concerns over the past 6 months, though I'm starting to think they have been done away with and the body is hidden. This place is certainly run by someone who does not value customer experience in the slightest. Luckily for me, today was the last reason for me to travel to this joy sucker of an establishment, and it will be HD from here on out. I have always loved Lowe's but I however absolutely hate this location. I went in with my disabled dad to buy 2 6ft by 8ft wood fencing panels. They were stacked high enough a forklift should of been used but instead one person came to get the panels down. My dad and I had to help, while other employees stood around talking. As we were getting ready to leave the cart I was pushing my son it fell in a huge hole in the concrete and my son fell out of the cart. Again no one helped but stood around and watched instead. Then in the parking lot an elderly man had fallen with employees close enough to help and some actually seeing it happen and they all did nothing. This is by far the worst customer service ever! If you're in need of any help, DO NOT go to this location. read more

Me and my husband have been with Lowes for multiple home projects for a couple of years now. Since we have been with them it's been very hectic. Almost no employee in sight when needing help, when you do get some sort of help it's never from a professional in the the area in which we are inquiring about. No body seems to be on the same page. When there is a complaint to be made or something to be answered it takes entirely too long to hear back from anyone. We had our floors done and they began falling apart and we had only had them done for 6 months or less. It took them at least 2-3 months for anyone to even come check the floor to let us know it needed to be redone. We were credited for some but not all. They have finally had someone come and redo them. No one offers to help you take your big items out to the vehicle. Very few good people I recommend talking to, Aimee McNeel & Misty Woytek. I came in for one simple purchase of getting a gift card. I first went to the self check out today and a cashier kindly tried to help me complete my transaction. For some reason, it would not work for us. So she said to go see a cashier which meant wait in a slow line. Next, I got this tall senior-like lady looking cashier with dyed blonde straight shorter hair. She seemed to have trouble ringing up my gift card order. She oddly paused and said do you have your ID. I said sure and showed it quickly to her. She said sorry your ID doesn't match exactly and for this amount, it needs to match. A) It wasn't that great of a dollar amount but if I were in a cashier shoes, in this case, yes it possibly would be. B) No one has ever asked me for my ID unless it was alcohol. C) She asked a supervisor-like to assist... the supervisor co-signs the cashier. HOWEVER, this supervisor-like person was trying to help me at the beginning with the self-check. Now the supervisor-like person has changed her tone to be agreeing with the "cashier". They both go it has to be under this amount to not have your ID needed. Logical response, "can we do it in lower amounts" and they go no sorry, it actually is any amount. Oh boy, very interesting Lowes. I do understand basic security measures but what stores check personal card names in 2019?? It seemed unnecessary and a bit extra. I went to your competitor to get this simple job done without having to show ID stuff. read more

Where should I begin? I have shopped Lowes for years. We have bought light fixtures, ceiling fans, sheet rock, tools, plants and on December 21, 2017 a $1500.00 Husqvarna Riding Mower. I purchased this as a Christmas present for my husband. My husband mowed our place for the 1st time this week. We have kept the mower in a shed until the weather cleared up to mow. So, the husband goes to mow and he notices a lot of grease all over the mower. Right away we know there is a problem. We call Lowes and the young man suggests we bring the mower up there. My husband does and a very rude young lady with purple/pink hair supposedly a Manager states there is nothing they can do. Claims that since we didn't purchase their extended $300.00 warranty. Excuse me, but I was told when I made the purchase it automatically has a 1 year factory warranty. On top of it all this young lady again "supposed Manager" then excuses herself to go to lunch! Wth? I was a Manager and never in my life would I treat a customer this way. We call and make a complaint and are told we will hear from a Manager within 24 hours. Well yeah we got a call from the same "supposedly manager". Seriously? Now get this, the young lady then bashes Husqvarna. Seriously Lowes, you have a worker that bashes the products you sell. Well, this morning my husband brought the mower to a Husqvarna dealer in West and right away the gentleman says the axle is broke and the transmission is bad. He says this would have been done when the mower was shipped and unloaded at Lowes. That the boxes and all the merchandise are tossed around in this process. To repair the mower the cost is $1300.00 This dealer says he will honor the factory warranty and it will fall back on Lowes. Our older riding mower lasted us for 15 years. Shame, shame on you Lowes! I am so glad that I know all your policies now because I know many contractors, builders, plumbers in this area and have already put out the word. Hello, Home Depot. Have been in here many times and received decent service however their check verification with Certigy is unacceptable in todays world of technology. I went there and used a business check (from a title company that does hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of transactions a day) and it was rejected, not due to insufficient funds but due to the inability to verify the authenticity of the account. No one at the store could help so I called the automated line that was difficult to navigate and after 24 minutes on the phone between automation and hold I got someone on the line who also would not help me as I was not an authorized signer on the account. So we conferenced in an authorized signer. They then verified they could do nothing due to the amount of funds that pass through that account on a daily basis it flagged for potential fraud and there was no way to correct it. So then I purchased what we needed purchased on my own credit card and they refused to give my client the military discount they promise because of some card. In their defense after a third trip there they did refund the amount of the discount. I would think in todays world there has to be a way to use logic to override computer programming and allow such checks as this through. read more

Zachary in the Appliance department is the reason Lowes won a Best of Waco award in 2017. He's fabulous! Helped me over the phone and in person with a dryer purchase. Now the rest of the store crew...terrible. The store needs better management and more staff. This is Waco and unfortunately there aren't many options. The worst Lowe's I've ever dealt with in my life. The department wouldn't answer the phone for numerous calls. When I finally spoke to someone (not in the department I needed because they wouldn't pick up) I left a message with someone and they they said they'd have them call me today, of course they didn't. After getting cut off on another call today I finally got to speak to someone that said the quote on square footage for carpeting I got 18 months ago wasn't in their system. The people that measured it didn't put the footage in their computer and even if they did Lowe's throws that information away in six months! Really, at 20 kb text file is thrown away so I have to spend another $35 to get it re-measured. I don't think so, what's the number for Home Depot???? I'll shop at the local Lowe's (Atascocita, TX)but not this one in Waco. read more

We found the new floors we wanted at Lowes. They had someone come out and measure, we got our quote and went in to pay for the job and have it set up. The guy that was setting up the job was not the floor guy we had talked to a week before that (I believe he was off) anyways, he seemed like he didnt know what he was doing. My husband and I asked him if that was the full total and if there would be any other charges for floor prep or any other installation needs. He said this is all we would have to pay, nothing in addition. Then the installers got to the house, ripped up the carpet and informed us that we would need to pay for the floor prep before they could go any further. I explained to him what Lowes said, he apologized and said that we were misinformed. So we had to pay an additional $350 for floor prep on the spot. Then I noticed about half way through the day that the old hardwood in the the entry way was not being ripped out so we asked them and the entry way was not on their scope of work. (We were replacing the floors in the diningroom, livingroom and entry, they all flow together) My husband had leave work and go back up to Lowes. They apologized for their mistake and covered the labor for the additional work but we had to cover the supplies yet again. So another $184 in the same day. Our installers we really nice and professional and our floors look amazing but I will NEVER use Lowes again for a big job like this. I should have paid more and gone with a company that knows what is going on. read more

Ordered countertops on 9-21. Told 3 weeks to install. All solid surface bathroom c-tops are installed, as promised, by 10-13. They look good. But Quartz c-top by ECO won't be installed until 10-31 or later. That is 6 weeks, not 3 weeks. Do not order ECO quartz unless you can wait 6 weeks. Meanwhile, your kitchen is a mess and your schedule is ruined. read more

Hit and miss customer service. There are a few employees in the paint department who are awesome... and a few not so much. One "manslpained" something that didn't apply. The result was getting home with unmixed paint. Went back for more, checked it before I left, not mixed. Went in a few weeks later, same employee as before, thought he would understand by now that I want my paint mixed, I didn't check it. Got home, not mixed. I am pretty sure this is personal. Nevertheless, I wasn't rude, just dismissive. Won't be going back again read more

We just moved to Waco and needed a new washer and dryer. I have always shopped at Lowes in my home town, but was appalled at the lack of service. I could not get anyone to help me. After waiting about 20 minutes on someone to show, I went to the front to ask for the manager. I was told he was in a meeting and the other manager was outside (it was pouring down). I went to Home Depot and found the exact items and received great customer service. I then went to Best Buy to compare prices, but they were did not have one of the items I wanted in stock. I returned to Home Depot, but unfortunately, the dryer was on back order. This time I called Lowes. It took several tries, and after no one would answer the line at appliances, they connected me with a manager. She found that both items were in stock and took all my information on the phone. All I had to do was go to customer service and pay. The only good part of the experience was the delivery. Both Robert G. and Alex phoned ahead and we on time. They did a great job and represented Lowes in a very professional manner. read more

The floor, the urinals, the counters and sink area were just grungy. The accompanying smell was less than pleasant, too. There's always been 3 guys standing by the side gate who have never offered to help as I've wrestled with 50 lb bags. (I'm a woman, btw). They continue standing there talking as I struggle. My husband and I are very loyal Lowes customers who have spent thousands of dollars in your store remodeling our rental property as well as our personal residence. Last night we took my 87 year old father into Lowes to buy a lawnmower. My mother passed away 1 month prior and this was the first time that he had been out. We spent a couple of hours in the store picking out exactly what he wanted. Lowes declined a check that he wrote and embarrassed him in front of all the people in the checkout lines. When he asked why, they told him they could not tell him and that he would have to call a number and give them all his personal info to find out. My father, in all his 87 years, has NEVER, EVER had a check declined and never been treated so badly. I recognize the need for safety but my dad has over 100 times the amount in that account(which I tried to show the night manager, however she did not care)Why have a manager if they can't override stupidity? There is no way that he should have been treated the way that he was based on the fact that you use a sub par check verification service. We left and immediately went to Home Depot and they were more than accommodating. We spent almost $1,000 in their store. You have lost a very large account and I will make it my personal mission to make sure that all my contractor friends and family know that you discriminate against senior citizens because they do not have a computer to sign up for your veterans discounts and 'My Lowe's" account. The night manager was rude to me and to my father and I will be filing a formal complaint against the Waco Store and night manager who apologized to me that my mother died "but that was not her problem." I certainly hope that this is not how you treat all your senior citizens. At the very least, my father deserves an apology from Waco, Texas store. read more
