Overall, I always have a high opinion of Lowe's, but I have mixed thoughts about this visit. I was going in to buy a new dishwasher and had already researched the options before I went in. Normally, when I go into Lowe's, no less than 2 to 3 people stop and ask if I need help. This visit I only had 1 person and he didn't even work in the appliance section. I was in the section long enough to look over all the options and the open box options, then come back to my selection to really check it out without the sales person ever coming to speak to me. Once I was ready, I went to check out with the sales person and never once did he ask if I had any questions or how he could offer any other assistance with the purchase. I needed installation, which turned out to be almost a month later on April 15. To pay for a new appliance and not be able to enjoy it until almost a month later is ludicrous. Overall, I'm just meh about this experience at Lowe's. read more

I purchased four appliances from Lowe's and scheduled installation. It has been a total nightmare. I just called to speak with them and asked to speak with a manager in customer services and they hung up the phone on me. Absolutely worst business on earth. On my new LG washing machine, the decal that shows the lettering for the dial wiped off within two weeks of ownership. I called LG and they say it's cosmetic and wouldn't be covered and that I should contact Lowe's. LG actually made a call to Lowe's and said that they were made aware of the issue. (From LG it sounds like perhaps that lettering is put on by Lowe's?). Without the lettering on the washing machine, you can't select which cycle you're using. Lowes sold me a $548 piece of trash. Everything I've purchased has been problematic and I have spent hours trying to sort things out. They credited the receipt for two of the purchases to a phone number that I no longer have that they knew I didn't have. I gave them a correct phone number they entered it incorrectly. I've been on the phone with them over and over just to get these appliances purchased and installed, and the consequences are things that didn't work correctly, damage to my home, and physical injury to me because of poor Service. (The staff who Lowe's arranged to deliver the refrigerator brought both (old and new) refrigerators into my living room. They moved heavy furniture to make room for two refrigerators. I've actually fractured my spine moving things back that they left displaced because they wanted space to move two refrigerators at the same time. There was no reason why they had to have both of them unhooked and pushed through the house simultaneously. If I designed the maximum amount of harm a business could do by having you as a customer Lowes would be doing that. Every step has cost me more than it should have in time, money, aggregation and damages. In order to schedule installation Lowes requires the purchase of installation parts. If they don't work the customer doesn't get a refund. Workers use the wrong parts (even if it means the dryer can't be pushed back because the hose is too long). Now a portion of my hallway is blocked because the hose is too long (because (of course) Lowes required me to buy the longest possible most expensive hose.). I also had to have additional work done because the long hose is kinked. That required a service call from a different business to be able to get the kinked hose to have enough airflow. Don't go to Lowe's. Never knew a business that did what they just did to me. I called and spoke with "appliances" and when they couldn't help, I asked to speak to Customer Service. And instead of transferring me, they just disconnected the call. $3000 spent there and I can't even get somebody to talk to. read more

I went to order a large living room rug to a house I am moving into in two weeks time. I ordered the rug, sized it and placed the delivery with the employee and noticed on the receipt that he had entered the wrong date, so I let him know about the error and he jumped on the computer to fix it. Well unfortunately this GIANT rug was being delivered to the house only 2 days later before I even have the keys, and the private owner does not live on the property. My daughter was looking for a particular decoration for Halloween and found it online at Lowe's. Since she was in another town, she asked if I could pick it up for her. I said I would while I was in town going to a nearby Sam's. I had never been in this particular Lowe's but found locating it was easy. Parking was easy and near the front entrance. Walking in, I found I had no idea where this type of product was located. Signage was poor, but I finally found the area where it was located. The area for the product looked like it had been hit by a tornado. There was no rhyme or reason to how things were displayed, but I assume it had to be due to lots of customers going through the merchandise. I had to check a lot of the product as many were missing the electronics. Others were in bad shape. I finally found one that was perfect and picked it up. Payment is easy with self-checkout. I was glad I didn't have any questions as there was nobody around to ask. I guess that in the battle for low prices customer service has nearly vanished. Will I return? Yes, if I'm in the area as I really do like Lowe's. read more

Well 2024 ending with a washing machine letting out the smoke... so 2025 is starting with a trip for new washing machine. We tried all we could.... So a trip to Lowe's was in order. We were in and out of there in under a hour with a new machine in the bed of the truck. Shane took great care of us! He found us something in stock and then brought it out and helped load it. Tile not in stock. Had to special order. Tile edge trim not in stock. Found at Home Depot. Shower niche not in stock. Found at Home Depot for less. I went to Lowes to purchase some purple sage. I asked one worker where I could find it. He told me outside. I walked around and couldn't find it so I went back inside to the register and asked again. They told me it was either outside by the vegetables or inside to the right. I am 73 years old shopping for a friend who 83. The customer service there is awful! A customer helped me find it. It was on a really high shelf and I could not reach. Thank goodness the customer helped me. When I went to check out my total was $43.26. I gave the girl $60.26. She wanted to give me the change back but I wouldn't take it. She did not know what to do. I told her I didn't want change. She finally figured it out. Customer service is absolutely awful. Tried to check out with Gillian, but she could not update our tax exempt phone number for us. Said we had to go to customer service. Met with Ruby and she had no clue how to do so. She asked a male employee and he didn't have a clue. Ruby walked away without saying anything to us. Didn't even make eye contact! Finally brought a manager I think (Natalie ) up, who didn't seem to know what she was doing. Asked us 4 times for our phone number. Tractor supply updated our tax exempt number in less than a minute. Same with Home Depot. And the people smiled and were kind. Not one of these people were friendly. We spent over $50,000 with Lowe's last year. I have to say that it's my fault that I keep going to this store. Every time I go for DIY project or something simple. Every employee seems to get busy when you are about to ask for assistance. I see them talking or on their phone. I thought these places had all these employees and I see 2 or 3 per isle. There was one nice lady that acknowledged my wife and I. I bought a very expensive 100 gallon water heater from Lowe's and used their "installation service." The plumbing company they sent out did not correctly install the water heater, requiring me to call another plumber and electrician after being out of hot water for about 5 days. Don't buy anything other than nuts or screws from Lowe's, but if you do, NEVER use their installation services. Once you walk out the door with a product you purchased from them, Lowe's has absolutely no interest in customer service. read more

I Needed something simple, per the website, the item was in stock...but the site provided the wrong info. We are not novices to hardware stores but desperate, made the mistake of asking 2 employees nearby for help. One of hem said that IF they had it, we can find it in the hardware isle. granted, I don't have a Lowe's inventory device on me like she did , I can guess all day long too. She showed NO willingness to help at all. Relying on another site search, we go running back and forth for 20 minutes, , multiple times passing the same employees standing around talking and no one bothered to ask if we needed assistance. We gave in and again asked another employee for help, provided the item stock number. Employee pulled it up, walked to the isle and bay and the item was not there... totally not his fault. he did seem annoyed that the item we needed wasn't there but also that we even got his attention and deterred him from wherever he was headed and let it show. The item was on the end cap, nowhere near where it was supposed to be, not even on display and still in original shipping box. Having all kinds of regrets that I recently got approved for a credit card with an 8K limit and thought today was a good day to break it in. We got the part, we thought the nightmare was finally over, then head to check out. I'm not familiar with the app, and I couldn't pull up my military discount as easily as I can with HD. We asked the cashier for help, She said flatly, "I'll get it" with a tone of again, unwillingness to help and annoyance in her voice. I was floored by her demeanor, as a whole. So many employees, more than I've seen at a hardware, but What a regrettable experience from start to finish, I don't think I'll be coming back. Spare yourselves and got to ANYWHERE else. read more

Not my first trip here during the pandemic but may have to be my last, given certain hassles I don't care for here that I never get at Home Depot. First, know that Lowe's was started by a couple former military guys, so supporting their business - even though it's a major retail chain - is not something I mind doing, especially since I'm in the military now. But with all the commercials and whatnot saying how much they support the military, I wish they made giving military discounts more instantaneous. I know that sounds elitist of me, but I get the instant discounts at Home Depot, which I always thank the cashier for. But at Lowe's, I apparently have to go through a whole process of mailing or emailing my receipt in order to get a rebate. That doesn't make sense to me. If you're going to offer something, make it easier. I and many others would probably appreciate it. And now we are in a pandemic and curbside service is being offered. I know the guys inside are super-busy, but why send me an email showing that my order is ready for pick-up, then when I arrive I can't get through to someone because the phone number doesn't work; and then I have to wait 40 minutes in my car waiting for someone to bring me just a few items. And all I'm told is that someone will come out momentarily. Look, I don't mind coming in myself to get it if you're too busy, although that certainly defeats the purpose of the curbside pick-up during these times. I just feel some small changes to how they operate at this store would go a long way and in the long run. Otherwise, they have pretty much everything you're looking for to accomplish your home improvement. I normally come here if I just need something real quick because it's closer, but maybe it's worth driving the few extra minutes to Home Depot instead. read more

I ordered 5 items online at about 10am for pickup at the nearest store. I received an email that it was ready for pickup at about 8pm. OK, I'll just go the next day over lunch. The next day I head in and approach the counter, show my order on the phone, and the two employees disappear "into the back" to get the items. I wait 10 minutes. 15 minutes. 20 MINUTES! Do you know how long that is? Did you know, Lowe's, that every other store has purchases ready for pickup as soon as you walk in? I see other patrons enter the store, get what they need, check out and leave. And I'm sitting there like a chump. The convenience of online shopping grinds to nothingness. 25 minutes go by and the two employees return with 2 of the 5 items. The 3rd they cannot locate. The 4th and 5th I have to grab myself. WTF So basically by "ready for pickup" Lowe's actually meant "not at all ready" I am PISSED and so I just leave. Why should I shop there anymore? Because I have to? I feel like Lowe's owes my money for my time wasted. I really, really want to put one star here. But, that's harsh. I have been here many times that went OK. I don't know if this place is run by management or corporate, but ridiculous either way. First. So we purchased a Samsung refrigerator July of 2020 along with a 3 year protection plan. We've had nothing but problems, Not even a month later there were issues with the ice dispenser, to date we've had it repaired 3 times. Also the bottom drawer in fridge goes off track ALL THE TIME, Lowes warranty service department is the worst, they can never find my paperwork I have to provide everything to them by email and it's a back and forth every time. I've even been told I wasn't in their system, or I had no warranty and had to prove it. The companies they send out are not good, I had a guy from A's appliance to look at drawer and he had to look on YouTube but only used WD40 which stunk up my refrigerator and it didn't work. They were no help at all. I was also told by Lowe's that on orig service call I had a defective refrigerator and they would buy it out but never did, supposedly it changed hands on their end and they decided nope just try to keep fixing. Again to this date the ice maker freezes up after we put a brand new filter in, this new company that came out recently said the part had to be replaced all along so they are coming to fix it. Hopefully this helps. I have emails and emails going back and forth with Lowes but yet they tell me there's no record of me calling in repairs. Don't ever buy a big appliance from them or get the warranty because they suck! Rude service and you have to do everything for them. Not only that but when they delivered it they dinged up the back and I didn't see it till the first repair when they pulled it out, heck they didn't even take off all the plastic they were so in a hurry. This hasn't happened once but twice in a week. Also, why can't they update their software so that when you use the self check out the mylowes reward card with a military discount will work when scanning from your mobile phone bar code. At Home Depot you can never find anyone to check you out as they force you to self check out. My wife and I went through so much trouble to receive an online order. I have never had these many problems and disconnects in communication when ordering from Home Depot or Costco. TL;DR: Buyer beware! While in-store service is better, your online experience with this store will be terrible because they are disorganized and discourteous. Their online inventory is bigger than in-store, but it's inaccurate and their delivery is inefficient (i.e., Lowe's does their own deliveries rather than subcontracting out to efficient transport companies -- something that Costco does). Also, I took two days off of work that I can't get back and had to re-schedule with our busy plumber twice for the install. If you are making an online purchase for home delivery, go with a different company like Costco or Home Depot. My wife and I purchased a cooktop from Lowe's online for home delivery. Unfortunately, the item was on back order and we would have to wait 2 weeks for delivery. We didn't think the wait was too big of an inconvenience considering the competitive price we paid. So we scheduled our plumber to come right after the expected delivery date to install the gas cooktop. Almost two weeks later, we got an email confirming the delivery. Then, the day before, we were told that the item would not be delivered the next day as promised, but 12-14 days from now. This forced us to cancel our appointment with the plumber and try to re-schedule when we had a new delivery date. Also, I had taken time off from work to be home the day of the delivery... a day that I can't get back now. AND we had been living without a stove for 2 weeks. We called customer service that Wednesday evening. The rep was very friendly and apologetic and said that in such cases, store managers offer customers at least a 10% compensation for the inconvenience of not delivering as promised. The rep immediately filed an incident report over the phone and we were quickly contacted by Jeff, a manager from this Lowe's, but missed his call. In trying to call him back at 830pm, we were hung up on 3 times. I guess it was late in the evening and store customer service didn't want to hassle getting the manager for us so close to the 9pm closing time. It pissed me off. When we did finally talk with Jeff, he confirmed that our delivery may be delayed as much as 28 days, not just 12-14 days as stated in the email! He pointed out that it's hard to get an accurate delivery date because the website is inaccurate. Moreover, he said that he couldn't give us a 10% compensation because the item was already discounted. Well, these aren't my problems. My problem is that I have been without a stove for two weeks already and now the item we already paid for could be delayed another 28 days. This Lowe's needs to get their act together. Jeff said he would investigate further and call me back the next morning. He called the next morning (Thursday) and told me that he found an available stovetop that they would deliver Friday. I called my plumber to schedule, but he said that he was booked for 2 weeks. Great! We would have the stove now, but it would sit on the kitchen floor. Two more weeks without being able to cook. Yay! Anyway, Jeff said he would call me later that afternoon to confirm delivery, but he didn't. I had to call the store again that evening. Customer service said Jeff was gone for the day and that the evening manager, Martin, was on break. When I asked the customer service rep how I could find out if the stove was going to be delivered, she said that I would have to call back at 6am tomorrow morning to talk with the delivery people. I was really angry now because I didn't know whether our stove was going to be delivered and I took another day off work to be home to receive it. My wife and I went to this Lowe's in person, which sucks because our purpose of ordering online was to avoid having to go to the store. Martin, the evening manager, was helpful though. He confirmed that the item would be delivered sometime the next day, but couldn't give a time-frame. He mentioned that they would call me the next day to give me a time. When asked if he could compensate us for all the trouble, he did offer us a discount. No one called me this morning with a delivery time. Not surprised. I called the store and was told they would deliver sometime after lunch. But, the men actually arrived at 11am. Glad I happened to be home! I guess it worked out in the end, but now I have a stove that will sit around 2 weeks until it can be installed by my plumber. Plus, I took 2 days off work instead of only 1. I can't get that back. And all the stress, phone calls, and having to go to the store! Due to all this trouble, I will not be making an online purchase, or probably not even an in-store purchase, at this Lowe's again. read more

Can you imagine a home improvement store less organized than Home Depot?! This place is a mess. They charge for flooring samples! They're 25 cents each here, when HD gives you them for free. The aisles are devoid of clerks. No one to help you with your questions, or tell you where your thing-a-ma-jig is in the store. The selection here isn't very deep for basic stuff, but they did seem to have a wide variety of lamps, plants, and gazebos. They have an expansive outdoor area here, with lots of ugly statuary that nobody in their right mind would want in their yard. Parking was rather easy, with a large lot. read more
