This place is ridiculous at times. June 20, 2024 our refrigerator went totally out. My husband had a guy he knows to come check it out and come to find out it cant be fixed. So we go to Lowes found the one we wanted that wasnt in the store "paid for it in full", the only problem was it had to be shipped to the store and it wouldnt be ready until July 10. We were ok with that, we've dealt with worst scenarios. July 10th came a third pary delivery service brought it outand guess what, it want the one we picked out and paid for. So since it was delivered by a third party it had to stay at our home. My husband was going back and forth on the phone with them, so frustrating. Then Lowes said that we had to pay another $200 because we were charged for the wrong refrigerator, huh, we refused to pay an "extra" anything and asked for our money back, then said we were going to home depot. It wasnt our fault what the lady charged us... she showed us the refrigerator in the book, we picked out the one we wanted, then paid. So whats the problem. Lowes finally told us to keep that one, use it, until ours arrive. We waited another week then the third party service brought out the other refrigerator befroe my husband allowed them to bring it in the house he saw a huge dent on the side and told them to take it back. Hubby called Lowes again told them what happened a week later we finally get our refrigerator yesterday Thursday August 1st, SMH. Then cleaned up the mess their third party service left. This Lowe's is the worst. Most all are great places to find what you need even in face of items and services nationwide being overpriced. This one in Salisbury off Faith Road should be closed to fire employees who greet with insolence, disrespect, blantant negativity. I arrived there 3 days ago to get top soil. I bought 4 bags, paid for them. Afterwards, I was told they had topsoil and it would not get it out for another day. I believe they just wanted I leave. I had to suggest my money be returned since I was leaving without items I paid for. I returned next day, explained I was told soil would be available just to come back. The process stole my time previous day, 40 minutes in driving and 30 minutes in waiting for topsoil that would never be brought out for pick up I prepaid for. The second cashier told me what happened day before was not anything she could do anything about. I was not asking her to correct that problem, but her attitude was rude as if she did not want to help me. I was speaking. She looked away, said she could not help me, no one was there to lift topsoil. Finally, she calls someone, and he arrives and places tiny bags, three of topsoil. It should have been regular size, but they were wrong size, so small I could have lifted them. I prepaid again, got the wrong size. He raced off not alowiing me to speak. I had with me someone in my care and was trying to manage this situation.Lowe's took payment for a product that did not match what was received and subjected me to rudeness beyond what anyone might imagine. I had not uttered a word initially as I approached cashier/clerk, was given the cold shoulder. Disregard of my time is outrageous. I should send Lowe's a bill for having to drive there again and wasting my time and being subjected to blatant disregard. To the ckerk the second time I arrived: Who do you think you are? You believe you can regard paying customers with disdain, recklessness. I built one house, renovated an office and repaired another house, I kept another funding Lowe's with my shopping there for supplies. I started going to this Lowe's three years ago and this past week arrived there twice to receive a level of rudeness that requires corporate intervention. If you fire just one, fire this person and retrain the others in garden shop. Holding them accountable, particularly this woman who presents herself as a short masculine inhibited misfit who kept looking away and pretending my questions were insignificant. Time was wasted, I was ultimately sold wrong size.I suggest Lowe's to screen potential employees better. To future shoppers: Do not go to this place until they clean up bad employees damaging reputation of Lowe's. This Lowe's in Salisbury is from hell. The best Lowe's is in Pittsboro, NC. If you need a model store, use this one. The one in Salisbury is a disgrace. I was there Thursday and Friday, they used at least two hours of my time and fuel in driving during two days, placed tiny bags of soil in my trunk, accepted pre-payment, made me feel rushed because second clerk was just so busy with only me standing there as she looked away saying she could not help me as I was asking to buy topsoil and required someone to load it. She acted as if it was stupid I ask for assistance because all she could do was take a credit card and hand a receipt. I am truly sorry for Salisbury having to tolerate a Lowe's that hires this. How long did hell spend planning to rob customers at Lowe's? They certainly do not care The time you spend driving there is worth more. Not getting a migraine or stress ulcers of the stomach is worth more than anything you want to purchase. When I built a house I bought eight sinks in one day, and on another day four bath tubs and one shower all at the same time. That was in Pittsboro. No problem. Purchases were nearly daily with large orders. I went to Lowe's in Salisbury for topsoil and was treated with such disdain. The summer before last I was there for paint, brushes, drop clothes, caulk. it was not so bad as this last Thursday and Friday. Those errands took far less time even with much to carry. What was the difference? I asked for help. So if you have a question or need help, you are not going to receive the basic help other than adding up your bill and if you are wading through their rudeness you may not catch mistakes until you get home that they placed in your trunk the pea size item instead of what you expected. I do not want to drive over there again and exchange or show them. They will waste more fuel and time. The best thing to do is to never waste your time driving there or shopping there. Time is money. The stress of dealing with employees who behave like criminals is not worth the doctor bill you will incur from the stress of subjecting yourself to this. It is not worth the wear and tear on your vehicle going there. It is not worth the fuel. It is not worth it period. read more

Approximately a week and a half ago, I placed an order for several construction materials including 4x4 posts, joist hangers, screws, and an additional concrete box. Upon delivery, only a portion of the materials arrived. Several smaller items were missing entirely. While I was away, the delivery driver texted me regarding the order, and I responded informing him that materials were missing. He advised me to contact customer service and stated the remaining items would arrive separately on another truck. When I contacted customer service, I was informed that no such secondary delivery was scheduled. The following day, when I arrived home, I discovered that someone had opened my mailbox and stuffed a box of wood screws along with six of the sixteen joist hanger brackets into it, leaving me still ten brackets short. My mail was partially hanging out of the mailbox and partially laying in the street below. Whether intentional or careless, this behavior was completely unacceptable. Construction materials should never be shoved into a postal mailbox, especially without notice, receipt, or proper placement in a secure location on the property. At that point, I seriously reconsidered continuing to do business with Lowe's due to the level of incompetence and lack of professionalism displayed. Unfortunately, the situation worsened. This past weekend, my carpenter informed me that we were still short three sheets of plywood, spacer brackets, and sealer needed to complete the project. Despite my previous experience, I decided to place another order through Lowe's and specifically scheduled delivery for Sunday so I could personally inspect it upon arrival. Lowe's then canceled the Sunday delivery and rescheduled it for Monday without proper accommodation. When I arrived home Monday, I found that: The plywood delivered was the incorrect thickness (23/32 instead of the 1/2-inch plywood ordered) The spacer brackets were still missing The sealer was still missing I contacted customer service once again and explained that this was now the third failed delivery issue in a row. I stated clearly that I no longer wished to continue ordering replacement materials and instead requested a refund. I was told that the matter would be escalated to the store and that the drivers are essentially subcontracted delivery personnel similar to Uber or Instacart. Frankly, that explanation is irrelevant from a customer standpoint. I placed my order through Lowe's, paid Lowe's, and paid approximately $70 in delivery fees. Whether the delivery personnel are direct employees or third-party contractors, they are still representatives of Lowe's and operating under your company's services. The lack of accountability, communication, professionalism, and care shown throughout this process reflects directly on Lowe's as a corporation. It has now been over 48 hours since that conversation. I have not received any follow-up communication, refund confirmation, or resolution. The incorrect plywood is still leaning against my garage waiting to be picked up, and I have very little confidence that Lowe's intends to properly resolve this situation. I find it extremely disappointing that such basic orders involving only a handful of materials could repeatedly be mishandled to this extent. Customers should not have to chase down missing materials, deal with unauthorized use of their mailbox, receive incorrect products, and then wait days without communication after requesting resolution. read more

After moving to Salisbury and buying a house, we decided to go with Lowes for all new flooring. We noticed after the installation that there was a nail left under one of the wood planks. Also, the carpet was pulling up from the stairs. We called Lowes several times with no call back. We had to go inside the store and speak with a manager who advised that they are not responsible for the installation company and we had to call them. We have been calling for almost 6 months and we cannot get a text or a call back. The installation company 6 months ago said they would contact us to schedule someone to come back out and fix the issues. We now have a nail sticking out of the new floor. Again, no returned call now for 6 months. I would not recommend any business from the Salisbury, NC store. Very poor customer service. read more

First off let me say the delivery was on time and he followed instructions well.The associates did a horrible job at putting my order together. I had things that were to big for my vehicle left out of the delivery order. How in the world did they expect me to get these items home. My phone had small items listed and ready for pick up. You people have got to do better. I went in to ask for a specific item and they said it was none on hand, after looking for myself I found tons. Terrible delivery experience. My mother bought a new stand-up freezer and the salesperson was just there to push buttons, and told us that the delivery people would call us to set up a time for them to come (important because I'm visiting to take my mother to Doctor's visits). Lowes did not call, just sent an email telling us what time they were coming and now I'm in a hellspawn phone call merry go round to different stores and one overseas call center because they set up the delivery out of a warehouse in Winston Salem--when they had plenty in the store they could have delivered. For something so simple, they sure know how to "muck" it up beyond recognition. Don't bother buying anything from here that you can't put in your own vehicle by yourself because the appliance salesperson only cares about her commission and any kind of service evaporates once you've paid. read more

Lousy return policy forces you to spend more money there. Staff worries more about theft, than actually helping you look for what you need. The employees know nothing about what they are selling. Electrical isle was a hodgepodge of junk that doesn't even work together, so whoever is doing the ordering is obviously incompetent as well. Without any competition (i.e. Home Depot), this particular Lowes is allowed to run amuck. In all the Lowes I have visited across the Country, this location is one of the worst. Staff is rude and often times unknowledgeable, aisles are in constant disarray, poor selection of items in-stock, store is often filthy, when I have called I have been treated very unprofessional (like I'm bothering the person on the phone). It's unfortunate because Lowes had always been the more professional of the two major franchises - at least in my experiences over the years. As a result, for the last few weeks I have been driving well out of my way - 45 miles to Statesville and 30 miles to Kannapolis to shop at Home Depot instead of dealing with Lowes, the ONLY option in Salisbury. Competition drives improvement and customer satisfaction; without that, businesses can and will get sloppy as exemplified by the Salisbury, NC Lowes. This location will no longer receive my hard-earned money, nor will I be made to feel like a burden. read more

I went to Salisbury Lowe's to buy a piece of plexiglass. Standing by the sign that said "We cut glass and acrylic, their clerk said, you have to use a saw for that, and we can't cut it. Making it to my car moments before closing time I realized it wasn't going to fit. Returning to the door I said it won't fit in my car, I either need a refund, or to buy a saw. The red headed manager said we are closed. I repeated my dilemma and she said all the registers are closed as I watched them ringing up the stragglers and close the door in my face. I have both business and personal accounts and spend in excess of 40k on an average year. This may make me reconsider my loyalty to a business that says FU so callously. read more

My wife and I are renovating a house so I'm in Lowes almost daily and I swear I got to this one look for whatever it is that I need, the app shows 100 in stock and they have 0. Then when you ask for help you end up talking to 6 people that have no clue what or where anything is. Save yourself time and go to Kannapolis or even Winston, because you will end up there anyway. read more

I was in store to return a $77 item this week. I had paid with a card. It was within the return date, that was ok. The lady only would put the $77 minus $25 back to my card. Asked why she said she was forced to do that by Lowes policy. BAD POLICY. HATEFUL ! You are forcing me to go back to lowes and shop with MY MONEY. Shouldn't the be 100% the customer choice? Very disappointed in Lowe's, they denied me returning a wine cooler I bought there around 1 year ago. I've seen people return old beat up grills, water heaters 10+ years old and items I'd consider junk at best. I guess being honest doesn't pay in this case. Old guy with black rimmed glasses in the back in windows and doors acted like I was the bain of his existence and I was nothing but friendly and professional. Finally took the door I was looking for a price on up front after about 20 minutes and walking around the store looking for help. Asked for help. Spoke to multiple associates to get carpet runners cut from roll. After waiting 20 minutes and pushing the service button Mickala responds. I pointed out which one and told her I needed 10ft and 6ft pieces. She cut 6ft piece first only to find there wasn't enough to complete the order. So I ask for the next color. Mickala seemed irked asking twice if i wanted the first pieces. It took forever and she didn't use a straight edge so nothing is cut straight. Upgrading to only other carpet option also cost me 30 dollars extra read more

This Lowe's is the only big box home improvement store in Salisbury but don't waste your time walking in. The employees do not care to help you. They do not keep the store neat or clean. The management stands around and do not care about you being helped or even safe. When I visited this store on 10/19/19 there were many bags of fertilizer open and spilled on one of the main aisles. If I wasn't careful I would have slipped on all the pellets in the floor. It looked like there were more employees than customers in the store but no one even made eye contact with me. This is the nastiest Lowe's store I have ever walked in. Do yourself a favor and don't even walk in!!! read more

Tried to buy 4 bales of straw from the garden center at the Salisbury, NC store. Paid for it in the garden center...cashier paged a loader...I waited at the trailer for 10 minutes...went back to the cashier to get my money back. I'm done with this store. Always courteous and friendly. Most call me by name. Ifb they do not have it will try to get it for you or tell you who may have it locally. Had a delivery of refrigerator. I had fallen and could NOT get up. The delivery men knocked and heard my call. They came in and checked on me, helped me up and made sure i was ok. They finished the install of the refrigerator and ice maker while continuing to checking on me. read more

I also purchased some big ticket items from them. Spent between three & four thousand dollars. Purchased a side by side fridge & a Samsung high efficiency washer & dryer. As soon as the warranty went out, the dryer started messing up. I tried unsuccessfully to get their C.S. people to do something with no luck. I don't even use my dryer during the Spring or Summer. I always hang my clothes out. So basically I only used the dryer for two Winter's. Not only will I not buy from them, I also will never buy anything with the name Samsung on it ! Buyer beware! Don't buy product & get installation through Lowes or Servpro. They overcharge for services in order to recoup their sale price. You won't realize this until you are well into the process. Please don't make this mistake & go elsewhere for flooring & especially installation. I promise you will save in the long run & have many less headaches & frustration. Too many details for short review but trust me on this & don't be fooled by deals on installation, it's highway robbery by the time you get them to install. If you don't use them to do extras they won't lay the floor or even show up!! read more

I actually visit this terrible location every week as it's sometimes very close. About half the time I visit I end up leaving before checkout and driving 17 miles to the Kannapolis location. Almost every single time there are no lumber carts available. Now, as this is a near weekly occurrence I have actually counted the lumber carts at 3 other locations and this Lowe's has less than half the amount the other locations have. Second, only once in several years has anyone offered to help me load or unload wood or supplies. While this is by no means a deal breaker as I'm young and healthy and am capable of loading my own stuff I think it speaks to the courtesy level of the staff. I am actually writing this review while I wait (almost 20 mins now) for someone to come and move some wood that is out but more is up high and a fork lift is needed. I have more complaints and tales of horrible service but I think I have just received my own Christmas miracle and someone is coming to retrieve the wood I need. read more

We have had the worst experience with #Lowe's of Salisbury NC. Over the past week we ordered a refrigerator from the local Lowe's, it was "supposed " to be delivered by the store mentioned above but they never showed up. I took the day off for the delivery as they had a window of 12-4, at 5pm i called the store and they could not explain to me why they had not showed up. So i canceled my order and was assured i would not be charged as they only charge upon delivery. I was charged the full amount of $1158. So i called to get this corrected, I spoke to several different people across Friday, Saturday and Monday and was assured over and it was taken care of, it never was. I even went to my bank and got the information required to return the money to us and sent it to the Manger at Lowe's, still the money has not been returned to us. This has gone on for 5 days now, it is completely ridiculous and unethical. read more

Awful internet order service!!! We order online regularly for our business and our contractors pick up at the stores, so we order from Lowes all across the state. This one is Salisbury has been our worst experience ever and we've had some pretty bad experiences with the internet order and pickup over the last 5 yrs. We ordered yesterday afternoon to assure our order was ready for pick up this morning by our contractor. It is now 3 pm and I just got off the phone with a manager (after being misdirected, hung up on, and basically lied to all morning). The service there was unimaginably awful. For the most part we like Lowes and expect to have issues occasionally just due to the shear number and size of our internet orders. However, this was really way worse service than I thought possible from and Lowes or any somewhat reputable store. Definitely our last internet order to the Salisbury store, we should have just drove the extra 20 mins and used Concord. read more
