I purchased a gas range. I purchased installation. I purchased install kit. Then I was told installation folks would call. No one called after over a week I called. They gave me a install date over two weeks out. The night before they canceled and said someone would call. I called and complained. They sent a guy out and the stove got installed. A week and half later the oven wouldn't lite. I called. They sent a tech out. He said igniter broke and the internals was bad. Said gas range needed to be replaced. He someone would call. A week later no call. I called. Now I have to purchase a new stove and when it gets installed the old stove goes to store for a refund. Un believable. Whole ordeal is over 2 months. Also, Last year I purchased two garage doors with installation that took almost 6 months with issues of missing parts and long order delivery. Bottom line - do not let Lowes install anything! Another bad experience at Lowe's. I wanted to purchase some sheet flooring that is in stock, online states 'pickup in store today'. I arrive and have to find a cart in the far end of the parking lot cart corral. I found the flooring dept. person and he searched for my product, 'it must be out back'. OK, I'll meet you back here after i find some other items. Then the flooring dept. person finds me in the store and states that his manager told him that my product is behind too much stuff and they can't pull it today. I always go to Orange big box first but my wife found a pattern she liked in the Blue store. I hate Lowe's. read more

I know the ratings can change from one store to another, and even from one person or manager to another, but today I had a good experience in Rochester NH and got everything done. Laura fixed a pricing/credit, (that was previously unfair by the manager of another store). i got the correct sized screws to fit in a plant stand that I had painted. Another associate loosened the tiny Phillips head screws on the battery compartment of a lighthouse topper, so I could fix or change the rechargeable battery. My screwdriver fit, but I was afraid of stripping the head. My hands were not strong enough to push and turn at the same time. I know Lowe's can be frustrating. I had a terrible time with one in Florida when I was having carpeting put in, but there are those that are competent and kind, addressing problems with a solution. read more

Problem after problem with delivery of two appliances--DW and fridge. They contract out to a 3rd party delivery company. You can't get in touch with the delivery company. When you call Lowe's customer service, they say they can write up the case and send it to the "delivery team." Then you hear back 3 days later. I learned from Reddit that "XPO logistics does delivery for Home Depot and Lowes. They suck " Apparently Home Depot stopped using them but Lowe's still does. The Reddit line ended with "I think the correct question is 'has anyone gotten a proper delivery from Lowe's?'" So buyer beware. read more

Had all windows, doors and siding installed on a 1990s cape. The pre-game for Lowe's was very good. The sales consultant worked well with my wife and me on choosing produce and discussing options we hadn't considered. Execution was a different story altogether. The coordination by the Lowe's project office and subcontractors was horrendous. They delivered windows without the requested grids, patio doors WITHOUT THE GLASS, they didn't give the contractor enough nails for the siding, then complained to us that HE was the problem. Punch list? It's been 3 years and we still have items they said they'd "come back for" and never did. Broken tension springs on brand new Pella windows, so they never stay up, lack of weatherstripping around storm doors. And the siding trim puckers and rolls of the temp gets above 80 degrees. No. We don't recommend Lowe's. Get a relationship with a good local contractor that doesn't sub it all out. You might spend a bit more money. But You'll be much happier. read more

I just saw they pulled out their registers and put in self-check outs, I gave it a try and noticed 5 Lowes employees just standing around at the end of the self-check outs laughing and talking with one another and ignoring the customers, NO greetings or merry Christmas or happy holidays or have a nice day to anyone, just talking and joking amongst themselves. And yet them 5 people will be the first to cry about how the self-checkout took their jobs when they are let go... this Lowes has gone so far downhill in the past few years. I had a horrible experience with the Lowes in Rochester, NH. Don't even try to order doors from them. They have no idea what they are doing. I tried ordering a storm door and the Millwork dept set me up with the wrong type of installer. The 2nd installer was given a fictional name of a town (Hayes,NH) as my address. They insisted on sending someone to check for lead paint inside my house for an outside storm door. The employees and manager I spoke with continuously blew me off. Been to this location many times. Purchased a lot of items NEVER have been asked if I would like help. Picked out a double vanity had to go ask for a cart 3 employees managed to hand deliver me a snow covered cart then back behind the counter. Still never asking if I needed assistance. I loaded the 300lb vanity onto the cart myself and proceeded to the exit where my daughter was waiting. When I approached the doors several employees FINALLY asked if they could help me! I made a point to let them know that the previous hour shopping would have been the time to offer assistance. They did see to it that the item was loaded carefully but I wouldn't use that store again! Impossible to find anything and staff acts genuinely upset to be asked for assistance. I will continue to go to Lowes for random items. However, I will never use their installation services again. I ordered a new deck, in 2021, and I had to pull teeth to get an install date. I'm happy with the end result but Lowes always wants the cash up front before anything can happen. Fast forward, I ordered new windows and a slider in February, and was told it would be done sometime in April or May. Then in April got a call that the installation would be August. Anyone else would freak out as I did. I'm out thousands of dollars and still have no idea when my installation will take place. I'm all done with any Lowes installations. read more

Lowes started my Kitchen on 7/5/22 (10 days later than the promised date) and they have yet to complete it! I have invested 100's of hours trying to get this completed. The installer was horrible and the cabinets had to be taken off of the wall and redone. He never worked more than 4-5 hours per day and was here 8 days for a 2 day job. He set the cabinets up wrong. He also has screws showing on the drawers and the pulls are not even. Lowes sent parts to my house but also to their store without telling the installer. He would come to install and only some of the necessary items weren't here. Lowes never answered their phone or their emails to correct this. I asked them to give me one person who would be responsible for my case and they wouldn't until Dec of 22. 6 months after my Project started. I now get a phone call from them every 10 days or so since March saying that the installer will be there in 2 days. Never happens! They take all of their money up front so they don't seem worried about finishing the project. If I had time, I would sit in their kitchen department every week advising people not to ever purchase their kitchens! My next step is to call The BBB. I have been dealing with Lowes installation dept. since July 13th. I signed a contract to have my roof shingles replaced and it has been nothing but a NIGHTMARE dealing with them. The contract states my roof would be completed by Sept 30th. To date the job isn't finished and there are defects in their work. I have contacted Lowes managers and their corporate office in NC only to find out they really don't give a hoot. Lowe's is ridiculous! Just bought an oven there. Used the oven 2x and it died. Had a tech come in 2x and couldn't fix it. So I call Lowe's and they tell me I have to deal with the manufacturer. I needed an inexpensive thermostat for my electric water heater. I checked, quite a few were in stock. But I made the mistake of ordering online for in store pick up. The order was not ready two hours later when I arrived and it was a lengthy process at customer service. When they brought the thermostat the package was previously opened, and taped shut. Big mistake on my part. I kept it. I replaced the part, no hot water. Another $150 on plumber. No hot water. Two heating elements, $90 each. No hot water. After two weeks of cold-lukewarm showers and talking to an electronics professional he said "top thermostat is bad". That is the one Lowes sold me in an opened package. I went to Home Depot, purchased for $9. Hot water. So my experience taught me go to Home Depot first, never order online from lowes, never accept a package that is unsealed. read more

OMG, what a comedy of errors! Went to pick up an online order; waited long time in line (for a fast pickup online order!!!!!). Couldn't find the order. Tons of staff hanging around, talking, laughing, etc. One person manning service desk. People in front of me waiting for their online order had waited 45 minutes for their order when we cancelled ours and walked out. I had planned to buy a bunch of other things, but instead went to Home Depot. I always preferred Lowe's, but this was it for the Rochester store. The manager was on a register dealing with figuring out something that he couldn't seem to handle so we just cancelled and left. Lowe's, you need to get a handle on what's happening in this store and get a supervisor that can actually make sure staff are working and providing good customer service. Went to lowes last night. 13 people walked by me with no help. Not even one said hi. One even walked by me on his cell phone looked at me in the eyes and kept walking by. Finally approached a female associate. Asked her about the curtain rods that I found. I asked her if the holders came in the box. She looked at the package to see if the description said if they did (there's a novel idea lady, wish i did that...i must be a dumb customer and not know how to read). That's sarcasm for any of you who can't understand internet jargon. So she finally says no they don't come in the box. I thank her for her experienced assistance (again sarcasm) and she vanishes like a fart in the wind. I go back to the aisle with the rods, took me a minute to find it again as i didn't leave bread crumbs. I then proceed to open the box and search to see if they are in there. Something that the "woodworking specialist" could have done. And to my surprise....they were in the box. Shocker she had no clue as to what she was talking about. (I left the opened box and took a new one) My girlfriend and i then went into the tile aisle and looked around for her new back splash in the kitchen. There was one man stocking shelves which looked at us and went back to work. Seeing this i walked straight at him and asked a question about double sided tape for mosaic tiles. To his credit he was quite knowledgeable in his field and gave me some dos and donts. I walked around amlessly for another 15min or so until my girlfriend told me it was time to leave. During that whole time no one asked me if i could be helped or to find something. During check out i decided i was capable of using the self check out until the computer yelled at me for placing an item in the bagging area. Then removing a bag. Not balancing the curtain rod at a 90° angle while Swyping my card and giving a retna scan. Finally one of TWO self check out monitors came over to provide assistance and told us to just let the product fall to the ground. Hmmmmmm? 5min later we were out the door and back to the safe confines of Rochester. Route 16 south was never so inviting. read more

I came here to get a whole bunch of new supplies to make my summer house in Alton better. If it was only a few things, I would have just went to Aubuchon, but for a big shopping Lowe's and Home Depot are the best. While Home Depot is closer, I was going to other places in Rochester Crossing, and because Lowe's seems newer to the area, I stopped here. The store is gigantic! While any hardware superstore is, this Lowe's just seemed to be more roomy and immense. Shelves were all fully stocked and three of the items I was looking for were right on the clearance rack! Meant to be or pure luck? Either way, I got a great deal on those, and was helped by some guy in the Electrical and Paint departments (didn't get name....) for some other items. Self checkout is quick and available at this location, and it never is as busy as Home Depot (Lowe's is much less busy and congested). Large departments and good selection. In closing, a great store for home improvement in the area. 4 stars. read more

Horrible delivery process. I received an email that my delivery would be here by 8pm today. The email had the typical covid excuse disclaimer, so I called them @ 6pm after it didn't show up yet. They told me it would be here by 8pm gave me a third party phone number which I called and was on hold for another 2 hrs. After a no show @ 8pm I called the store again and finally made it to the manager, Donald Presby (sp?). After a ton of nonsensical excuses, he told me it was never coming today and couldn't tell me when it would be coming. I paid a premium delivery fee and have received no service or product that I paid for. I waited 12 hours. Additionally... Donald was very proud to brag that he has been the manager for 10 years. Proud of what Donald? Your store had no problem processing my payment... funny how delivering on service just as rapidly presents such challenges. You guys are the ones who sent me an email saying it would be here today. Might want to put some of that pride into fixing this broken system. Never again. Paid big bucks two weeks before Father's Day to have a grill delivered. It was supposed to come in a week before Father's Day. On the FRIDAY before Father's Day I was informed the grill won't be in until mid July. Are you kidding me? I'm sure this information could have been made available to me before this. Terrible experience. I ordered some countertop to match my countertop in my kitchen now. Not only did they get the color wrong, they jerked me around the store for 2 hours only to be told they need to get a few days to re- order it... I even brought in a piece of my counter top, watched the lady put everything in the system right and paid big money for this to be right the first time. I'm surprised they don't match the part numbers that come in when they receive parts, to the numbers on the order. This is just lazy. I bought a staircase runner at the Rochester, NH Lowe's online for store pickup, using a giftcard. When my husband went to get the order, they found out the store had cut the wrong color runner. He was told that Rochester Lowe's doesn't carry the color runner we purchased online and to try the Greenland store. My husband drove to the Greenland store and they did have the runner in the right color, and that this color was usually backordered. My husband went to purchase the runner with the gift card, and found out that the card had been charged for the first runner purchase, even though it was cancelled because the Rochester store cut the wrong color runner. My husband asked if the he could have the runner since Rochester had already charged him for it. Greenland refused, stating they are different stores and that he had to go back to Rochester. So he asked them to call Rochester and the customer service representative at Greenland said "It's Rochesters problem not ours.," Keep in mind my husband has the original email with the order number and the original gift card used, so everything says he purchased the runner. So my husband leaves without the runner, and missing $71.87 from our Lowe's gift card. He calls me upset, and rightfully so, so I call Lowe's in Rochester, the woman who answers the phone is pushy, telling me she's with a customer and asked what did I want. I tell I had a problem with my giftcard, she tells me it will be a while the puts me on hold. I wait on hold, thinking that the store is probably busy and customer service is short handed. Finally someone else answers the phone and say "She went home sick what do you want?" I explained about the gift card and that they charged me for something I didn't get and the whole incident with Greenland. She at least apologised for my husband's ordeal, and told me Lowe's was going to mail me a giftcard in 3-5 days with the amount owed too me. I asked her why they hadn't just told my husband this when he cancelled the order in Rochester, and save him the trouble of driving an hour to Greenland. She told me they should have, but they never do. Ok. So now I am waiting for my refund that is coming by snail mail in a week so I can buy a runner that I already purchased, but was the wrong color, in a store that may or may not have it, because it's always backordered. All because Lowe's doesn't give store credit for their screw up at a different Lowe's. I've worked customer service retail for over thirty years and I have never seen such a screwed up system, that has no communication between stores. Who makes the customer wait a week for their refund?!! Any other store just gives you a refund at the store in the form of a giftcard and you're done. I will never ask another gift card or purchase another thing at the Rochester or Greenland Lowe's, except my runner whenever my damn refund comes in the mail. read more

I had the Rochester NH Lowes replace my deck and sliding door. The subcontractors they hired did a very shoddy job. They tour up expensive patio pavers, refused to replace them. After MONTHS of complaining, Lowes sent an adjustor out to see the horrible job they did with the deck and now MONTHS later, they still won't make this right. I have filed for arbitration in September, still nothing and it is almost January. LOWES is horrible! Shop elsewhere! They don't stand behind their product nor do they believe in customer satisfaction. I will NEVER shop at LOWEs again, nor will I ever let them do a home improvement project for me. read more

My experience with Lowes Home Improvement: March 2018 went to Lowes to have my tub removed and install a walk in shower, due to my husband's stroke. In the process of discussion we decided to have the whole room done; were asked about a budget mine was $7500-we ended up spending $9,000. I asked about Special financing, was told that couldn't be done because something to do with the construction; however on the website it clearly says "Ask about our Special Financing" . We walked around picked out everything in one day; bear in mind we have never done any type of remodel before. I asked when it would start, was told not in March or April for sure maybe May. We never heard a word from Lowes or the contractor. I called the store in June to find out when it would start, "she" said that the contractor was supposed to call. I don't remember the exact dates but the materials get delivered, flooring first, Vanity, sink etc. We had a toilet installed prior to the work beginning; I come home from work one day and they bathroom is ripped out and my brand new toilet is sitting in my front yard in the dirt. I asked them to at least put it on the covered porch. Because so many things went wrong here are the issues: 1. The sink was damaged- I requested that they come and get the sink out I was not paying for a damaged sink. I had to speak with the Project Coordinator who happened to be in Indiana. After several, several, several conversations I told him to have someone come and rip out the sink, vanity, and medicine cabinet or I would contact my attorney. We did go and pick something else. 2. I left it up to the coordinator @ Lowes to pick out the medicine cabinet after telling her to pick on the same size as what they took out. The new one was huge and it was hitting the light fixture. 4. When they put the toilet back in they never bolted it down to the floor. 5. The handle on one side of the shower door came off. 6.The crew would leave and never let my husband know if they were gone for the day or lunch. 7. When the new vanity and sink were installed there is a pink stain on the sink and lines in one corner. 8. The light on the left of the medicine cabinet is screwed in crooked. On Dec 9 I went to Lowes to let them know the light fixture was crooked and the sink had a stain on it and to get reimbursed to have the heat reconnected in the upstairs of my house. The pipes had to be moved in order to put in the walk in shower. I was told that "it's not in the scope of the contractor to do that". This cost me over $300.00 On Dec 10 I got a call from Bruce the Project Coordinator to see what the issues were, I told him. His response was "would I like to have the contractor come out and fix the light,Yes I would, He Bruce would like me to be there. I said I would not take a day off work to watch a contractor install a light, he could see it was crooked when he did it the first time. Then he would have someone from the store come with him would I be ok with that. He then asked about the stain on the sink I told him to leave it as a reminder for me to never have any work like this done at Lowes again. I just want the light fixed and for this to be over. THE LIGHT IS STILL CROOKED!!! NO PHONE CALLS FROM ANYONE EVER DURING THIS WHOLE PROCESS UNLESS I WENT IN OR CALLED THEM TICKED OFF. DON'T HAVE WORK DONE LIKE THIS FROM LOWES!!! read more

The people are very polite and knowledgeable. I was surprised by other comments about not getting good assistance. The problem with Lowes on a corporate level is the fact they refuse to update their software from 1980. Seriously I have been told by managers at several stores nationwide that the cash registers are still DOS and everything besides the smart phone apps are from 1980. I am a Pro customer and when one logs on as such most items do not appear, even thought their promotions usually require on line purchasing. Very frustrating! I have filled out their surveys and sent e-mails to corporate with complaints and absolutely zero response. read more

I was very disappointed with my most recent visit. The funny thing is I usually never write bad reviews, however being in the customer service industry I was hoping this would reach someone of importance. Our shopping experience started off great- we loaded up the cart with flowers, grass seed and a few other items. When it came time to buy our washer- we spent 25-30 minutes looking around- not a single person came over to great me. Though there were plenty of employees that walked by even after making eye contact... Already researching online- I had an idea of what I wanted and what I wanted to spend. I grabbed the model number- looked up online and saw two were in stock. I brought the model up front to cash out- I mentioned to the cashier I was going to need some assistance with the washer- and hopefully she could get someone to pull it up front and help me load it in my truck. I go to get my truck and pull it up front and wait- my other half calls me from the back of the store, 15 minutes later. She tells me they made her walk all the way to the back of the store to find someone to get our washer. The attendant who was watching over the appliance department standing at her podium gave her the biggest attitude when she asked for help. My other half felt like she was a bother to someone who is there to help her... Finally they found someone to pull the washer- he brings it out to my other half who has a full cart and he leaves it there- he says "You can push it out" and he walks away.... Obviously she cant even push two carts.... I felt like we were treated like second class citizens, let me tell you- Rochester Lowes has lost a customer. I hope to share my story with anyone that will listen. There is nothing more important in the retail industry than a customer standing in front of you, you also have no idea who is going to walk in with an open wallet. After gutting our bathroom, our contractor opened the box containing our new shower stall from Lowe's. The stall had a crack in it so we immediately brought it back to Lowe's and told them that we needed a replacement right away as our contractor cannot make the bathroom usable without it. This was on October 4th. We were told that we would have the replacement in 4-5 days. Despite several calls and an email to Lowe's, we have yet to receive the shower stall. Once when we called, we were told that stall was in. Of course, when we got to the store, it wasn't there. Lowe's is now telling us that the stall will be in on Tuesday, but only time will tell. Had Lowe's provided us with an accurate replacement time instead of stringing us along, we would have gotten a refund and bought a stall elsewhere. read more

Good store, but I must warn you: do not buy anything from them that is labeled "Project Source". I bought a vanity and it turned out to be the worst quality of any product I've ever purchased. I am a local contractor and I Recommended a customer to buy a sliding glass door at the Rochester Lowes. The sale was fine but the unit was incomplete when shipped. I did not notice until part way installed. Lowes employees had absolutely no idea how to help me and had not interest at all in helping me to finding a solution. I seemed to be a burden to any employee I spoke with and was verbally spoken down to for not properly inspecting the product.
