We have spent over $20,000.00 with Lowe's since September. It's been a very frustrating few months. Today was the last straw for me. I ordered some propane heaters on Lowe's.com. They weren't what I expected so I took them to the store to return. Receiving hand and email receipt ready I stood in line only to be told that they couldn't return my item because they don't carry in their store. Are you kidding me? The receipt says they have hassle free returns for online items. I called the 800 number on my receipt when I got back in my car. I drove home and finally my call was picked up. A super sweet associate waited on the phone with me while I drove back to the store, stood in an even longer line again, and then explained to the kid at the register and the manager how to return my item. This really was some the manager Bridgette should have known how to do. I hate when my time is wasted. I hate when store employer less than helpful. I won't shop at Home Depot and after the last four months of issues (I am still waiting on a door I paid for on 9/4/20) I don't want to give Lowe's anymore of my money. read more

I will never shop at Lowe's ever again. The customer service is horrible. No one is around to help. They just walk past you and ignore you. I would have gotten the ladder and brought down the product myself, but it says employees only. I finally asked a female employee for help. She said just a moment and got on her phone. I thought she was calling over a male employee to help, but she came over. She was angry and was knocking things over. Merchandise fell on the ground and she didn't care. The boxes were damaged and I just wanted one that wasn't. These are electronics and Lowe's doesn't care if they get damaged or not. She would rather slam her pole against the product and knock it over than get the ladder at the other end of the isle. I would have got the ladder myself, but it said employees only. I am going to contact the manufacturer and tell them how Lowe's treats their products. I would rather pay the full $349 for better customer service than the sales price at Lowe's. Two weeks ago at this same Lowe's, I was on that same isle and this customer picked up the only EGO chain saw they had. The box was so badly damaged you can see the saw inside. He was going to ask customer service for a discount due to the condition of the box. Today, I saw that same damaged box with the chain saw. I was so unhappy with the experience of shopping at Lowes that I closed by credit card account. So Lowes held onto a check for 11 days and then tried to charge me $47 in bogus fees. Bad service stories # 1 & 2 - The only reason Lowe's gets away with their consistently crap service is that HD is just as awful, maybe worse and there isn't much competition. I extensively researched appliances before buying them from Lowe's, having had crap service several times in the past from this store. Every excuse in the book, like online orders - "oh, that's another company" - really? Very sad that being the customer carries no weight. If you are spending thousands of dollars with them, don't expect any consideration. If you buy an appliance online and check the box to have the old one hauled away for $50, don't be fooled by how easy that sounds. Their delivery company will find some reason NOT TO HAUL IT AWAY. This should be made clear in the shopping cart. But NO, Lowe's is happy to take your money and the hell with you. This has happened to me TWICE - once with a dishwasher and once with a stove. The delivery people are very picky about what they will disconnect. This is NOT MADE CLEAR TO THE CUSTOMER. How is the customer supposed to know all this? Who is the customer supposed to consult to find out if the delivery driver will take it or not?? So now I have two large appliances in my garage. I have to figure out how to get the stove disconnected and hauled away. And then figure out how to get the new stove from the garage into the kitchen. It's a sign of the times that this type of crap service and customer dissatisfaction is just another day at Lowe's. It's pathetic really that Lowe's and their delivery "partners" think that the customer is working for THEM, when it is my purchases that pays their salary. I was in their store and a very rude Vendor from ECMD named Michael told me to move as he was pushing his cart by me - he said it twice and i said i hear you - i moved up. he then says "told you to move because I didn't want to hit your ass" - yep. direct quote. I asked "what did you say"? and he actually repeated it. So, if you want to be harassed by rude vendors for sure visit this lowes! and the sad part is most of their management did not care, neither did DeSean at ECMD- basically doubting my story and dismissing it. I was looking for flowering perennials for my daughter's garden, and found a few. What I did notice as I checked out Lowe's garden was the lack of water for the pots throughout. So I moved into Oceanside on May 1st 2019, I have been unpacking my new household and composing a list of things I needed from Lowe's. I went to Lowe's this afternoon to pick up the needed items I wondered through the store and garden department to find everything I needed There where ALOT of employees walking around the store for a Tuesday afternoon A couple of the employees where very helpful most where not Most of the employees I saw where to busy talking to each other to help us customers But the thing that really made me angry, angry enough to leave this review is that once I had finally found everything I went to pay for my items and all they had open where the self check out lanes I hate the self check out lane!! I never use the self check out lanes!! but these where the only registers that Lowe's had open There where already people in the self check out lanes struggling to get their items paid for It was finally my turn to use the self check out register I asked the employee why with all of the customers in line did they only have the self check out lines open She didn't answer me I was all ready getting very frustrated with having to use the self check out lanes But when the items where having trouble getting weighed in on the bagging area I really started getting angry I told the employee that again I hate the self check out lanes and that if they where only going to have the self check out lanes open I would not return to the store again Again she did not answer me I finally got my transaction done and left the store very frustrated and angry with Lowe's I do not know if I will return to that store again or just go to Home Depot next time read more

This is for Lowe's Internet ordering rather than this store in particular. We have three times ordered through the Lowe's online site and had it shipped locally. One time they brought a broken toilet that did not even have all of the pieces required. We sent it back and had to buy locally. The latest fiasco involved a smashed over the stove hood which we had sent to the local store and picked up there. When the installer went to put it in, he noticed the huge dent in the top. Took it back and ended up going to Home Depot to find a hood we could use, as Lowe's local selection did not have anything close to what we ordered. The local Lowes did take back the item and refunded without a question, but this was the third time we tried to order what we wanted from Lowes site, only to end up having to go in and find a replacement for the broken items. We waited nearly a month for this broken item to arrive at the local store. Needless to say we will never order online from Lowes again. I needed an O-ring for a faucet hose and was so missing the old Ace Hardware store that used to be by Stater Bros. I even went to O'Reilly's Auto Parts hoping to find something that would work but no luck. So off to Lowe's but to my amazement, there was actually an employee who asked me if I needed help. Which he gave me even though he wasn't in the plumbing section. Unfortunately he did not give me the right information but that's OK. I went back to get another O-ring and another employee approached me to help. Three boxes of O-rings later and one of them worked. But mainly I am very happy that two employees approached me to try to help me without me even asking. So now maybe you're wondering why only 3 stars? The online ordering! On March 30 I ordered eight boxes of flooring to repair a water damaged section of a room in our house. It said 3 to 7 business days until we would get it. When the seventh day arrived it said there was a delay. I called Lowe's, I went down to Lowe's, I called the shipping department it was supposed to be coming from, everyone said it was on its way it would get there just wait for the email to pick it up. Finally on April 16 I decided something was wrong. I ordered more flooring online and I went down to the store and ordered it in person. Today April 19 the flooring I ordered in the store was ready for pick up. Frankly I didn't believe it but it was there. I told the guy about my problem with online ordering and he looked on his computer and just said that's really weird. I returned it the next day. Got a refund. I decided to buy a Kohler. Quality product. So a Lowes worker reached in the pile and gave me what I wanted. I get home,open the box and water came out of the hoses. I noticed the white plastic straps to seal the box was missing. I called Lowes. I was upset. After the phone ringing and ringing he picks up the phone. I told him he gave me an open box. Probably a return. He got all defensive with me. He said the plastic strap was on the box. It wasn't. I'm not stupid. I was so pissed. So again I go to Lowes to bring another faucet back. I went to the faucet dept. Got a sealed box. He told me they sometimes are packed with some left over water. First of all, Rosie (Rosita) was SO HELPFUL after so many people were not helpful at all. There was an issue with an order I placed for delivery from this location and I had been told mixed and incorrect information on multiple calls. I called BEFORE I placed an order to confirm the washer/dryer I was ordering was in stock. After I placed the order 30 minutes later I called again to confirm it was in stock. The next day I receive an email notification that the w/d was back ordered. I called the store to ask about it because I was told it was in stock. I got a number of employees who legitimately did not care and finally talked to Rosie. She walked to the delivery area and confirmed the w/d was indeed in stock and they had 2 of them. She made sure to put my name on it with my order info. So 5 stars for Rosie and 1 star for the unhelpful people for an average of 3 stars. Also, please tell your sales people to stop telling customers that their delivery guys will return any unused accessories foe a refund. The delivery guy said they don't return items for customers because the Lowe's team doesn't always follow through and it's difficult to track them down so customers have to drive to Lowe's and take care of returns themselves. Due to Covid and being in a high risk pregnancy I just put the unneeded item for donation pick up because it's not worth the risk to me. read more

I was missing a part for an item bought online. I tried to make a call and sure enough, no one was answering. I tried calling every department. So I had to carry my already unpackaged item to the car (5 shelves storage unit) and drive 45 minutes to them. I get to customer service and the first thing that leads me to no surprise is 3 people standing there and no one is answering the phone. When I finally get to the front you can hear they put the phone as silent as possible. Here's the thing that set made this experience a joke. I went through the trouble of carrying the unit myself JUST FOR THEM TO OPEN A PERFECTLY FINE PACKAGE AND GIVE ME THE MISSING PIECE. I was expecting a complete unit swap but that clearly wasn't the case. So yea, I made the drive just for them to tell me they can give me the missing piece. OKAY THATS NICE BUT IF YOU ANSWERED YOUR PHONE I WOULDN'T HAVE GONE THROUGH THE TROUBLE OF CARRYING THIS UNPACKAGED UNIT BY MY SELF. I do not recommend this place. It was empty and a joke of an experience. The fact that they ignore customers over the phone deliberately is enough to give this one star. It must be a store wide thing because it's all over reddit. I've always had issues with Lowes Oceanside because I can't usually find what I want there and their weaknesses in customer service. Yesterday was a new low. l was shopping in the garden center when I noticed that the water spigot outside still has an aggressive leak! Two months ago I complained to the kid who was watering. He could have cared less. I then complained to the garden center staff who said they would tell management. I was enraged yesterday when I saw the leak still there with the same water waste! I spoke with a manager who said, "it's still leaking?" She said that they have had numerous complaints and she thought it had been repaired! I guess no one there really cares that they're wasting hundreds of gallons of water every week and god knows how long it's been going on! My next move is to contact the city and anyplace else that will do something about it. read more

This is a typical Lowe's. I'm not sure why all the negative reviews, but this location is my go-to place for any home improvement needs. They also have lots of great sales around the holidays and are constantly changing what items are on display based on season and any upcoming holidays. We bought a Samsung microwave /exhaust fan combo on 8-14-23. After being installed by the worst contractors ever - Pacific Express, we found out the fan did not work. Express sent out another contractor who deemed the fan unit as defective and Lowes said they would replace it. My husbands calls the customer service hotline almost daily and they said we were contacted by phone and email as the the installation date on September 1. Totally untrue. Here we are 3 weeks later with a paid for defective unit and cannot get in touch with the installer for an installation date. My husband stay on hold for 20 minutes twice today and left messages. We are at the point of having Lowes come and get this defective unit and get a total refund. I am also going to contact the California Consumer Agency and make a complaint. read more

This is by far the worst Lowe's store that I have ever been to. First off, you usually have to hunt down a shopping cart, most of the time there aren't any in the designated cart area. Awful follow up and delivery team on our refrigerator!! Excellent team for the dishwasher. We are on our 5th attempt to balance the refrigerator so it works properly. The hold times are very long when trying to work with the installers. The last group showed up with no tools and told us to empty the ice machine in the door so the refrigerator would balance out. Next appointment is set for Sunday. Hopefully that will eliminate our issues!!! read more

My go to Lowes. Its convenient and some of the staff know me by first name. Not sure if that's good or not, lol. Great for DIYers, I recently tiled my whole home. The staff answered my questions and were honest when they couldn't. They helped me buy just the right amount of material to complete the job without tons of waste. Saving me a good amount of $. The carpet in the rooms were done by Lowes and I couldn't be happier. Got my baseboards here too. Those I did myself as well. I also purchased my washer and dryer. The staff is courteous. Sometimes it can be hard to flag someone down, but generally everyone is very helpful. read more

While waiting for another employee to open the spray paint cage, I offered an employee who was trying to help (but could not) $1000 cash if she could tell me why the decorative aluminum sheets I was planning to paint would not rust (she started telling me that she used spray paint to repair her rusty iron patio set). She was unable to come up with an answer . However she then took it upon herself to tell the next employee that I would extend to them the same deal, and I had to quickly correct her, clarifying that the offer was made to her (the first employee) only, and did not extend to another employee. The next employee could not be bothered and was impatiently rude and informed she had two customers waiting even though I told her I was in no particular hurry and willing to wait for her to help them first (she was still rude). Freaking Groundhog Day. I ordered a refrigerator from Lowe's on 8/18, and was told that it was backordered, but would be delivered on 9/26. This was fine - my refrigerator was operational and I could wait. I arranged to take the day off on 9/26 because I know that Lowe's doesn't give a delivery window until around 9 the night before. On 9/25 at 8:00, I received a phone call saying that my fridge wouldn't be delivered. I wasn't happy about this, because of the lack of notice and burned vacation day, but I went ahead and rescheduled the delivery for when they said the refrigerator would be in stock, 10/6. On 9/15, my husband and I went to Lowe's to buy a keypad lock. Before we went, we checked Lowe's website for their price match policy. We tried to get the price we found online matched and were told that Lowe's only matches local business, not online and definitely not Amazon. Google Lowe's price match - this is the first sentence: If you find a lower price on an identical item at a local or online retail competitor (including shipping and delivery fees), just bring us the competitor's current ad or show a printout, photo, smartphone display or app, and we'll match their price. After these two incidents, I sent an email to Lowe's customer service requesting that they make their price match policy on their website a little less deceptive, and letting them know that I was displeased about having to burn a vacation day based on their lack of timeliness informing me of their stocking difficulties. That same day, I got a phone call from someone purporting to be the manager of the Old Grove store. He clarified that they'll match Amazon prices if the item is sold/shipped by Amazon, but not if it's sold by a third party. He indicated that he'd make sure his cashier staff knew this policy going forward. He also apologized profusely for the refrigerator delivery issue and said that if there was going to be any difficulty with the rescheduled date, I'd be notified well in advance. Last night, the day before the fridge was to be delivered, at 8:20, I got a phone call telling me that it wouldn't be. Today, I went into Lowe's to cancel that refrigerator order and buy one that had a prayer of being delivered in this lifetime. While there, we also attempted to purchase something for my mother which had a lower price that was sold and shipped by Amazon. Same issue - no online price match and for sure no Amazon. Management backed up the cashier. So.....even though I prefer the atmosphere and proximity of Lowe's, I'll be taking my business to the Home Depot off of 76 and Melrose. read more

I typically have pretty good service at this store . Recently , I have noticed less and less employees. I ordered 120 bags of mulch online . We picked up 1 pallet with no issues . Waited until a weekday to pick rulo the remaining pallet . First they could not find the order . Now my husband has been waiting over an hour for them to get and load the product . He has asked to see or speak with a manager , over 20 minutes ago . It's been almost 2 hours and still no product . I think next time Home Depot May get our business .
