I was working on a home project, putting a ceiling fan into a location without a light. Needed a box for a retrofit installation. Not wanting to tear out drywall I wanted a fan box that laps onto the joist. My go to is usually Lowes. While picking up the box I grab some other supplies. I was not able to find what I was looking for. Lowes now has sparsely located some buttons to call for help. Help arrive after a bit of a wait. The associate was "ambushed" by three people as I watched down the aisle. He was polite and very helpful. We found the only box in a box and I was on way. In the parking I decide to open the box to see if it were complete. The box was only usable on the edge of a 2X but my joists have a 3x facing down. The box won't fit. So I went back to customer service and exchanged the box in a box for my $5.68 back. I headed off to Home Depot who had the correct Universal box. Recently moved and was in need of a new microwave. The website showed that there were 2 in stock at this location. When I arrived, there were no shopping carts available even though there weren't many people shopping. I couldn't locate the specific item needed, and when I finally located an employee to help me, he brushed me off. After waiting for further assistance for 15+ minutes, I walked out and purchased the product online. Recently bought a new home and had to come purchase a few things. We were in the blinds section and had two or three different employees check on us while we were browsing. Once we picked out what we wanted, another employee began explaining the differences between types of blinds, installation, etc. they offered to cut them down due to what size our measurements were. Everyone was friendly and helpful and congratulated us on our new home. They even checked us out separately so we wouldn't have to wait in line. Got home and the blinds fit perfectly when my husband installed them. Thanks for the help! read more

Came in looking to have a lock set rekeyed ($5 fee). I went to the key grinding section and noticed a lack of employees in the area. I finally found an employee who was busy stocking items. This employee said he wasn't comfortable in rekeying the lock so he grabbed another employee who also was also uncomfortable with rekeying it. I was told the employee that could do it was on lunch and to come back in a couple hours. I left my number so they could call me when it was done. After three hours, no call. I went back to the store and there wasn't an employee in the area. I went to the service desk and was told that they were in a 1-2 hour meeting. I grabbed my lock set, got a refund and left. Why aren't employees trained in services that you offer?! read more

I have only used Lowe's for my Home Improvement projects, but now I'm super disappointed. I am now 1.5 years of having rotted flooring and black mold in my basement and Lowe's admitted to being responsible and still nothing has been done. They gave me over to Sedgwick who handles their claims but I don't think Sedgwick exists. Christopher Godfrey never answers his phone. I have called over 70 times and left over 30 messages and no one has called me back since December of 2023. I have tried to be patient. When I went directly into the Lowe's store, the assistant manager chastised me for waiting so long to do anything about this situation. That was over month ago. When I go into the store, they try to call Sedgwick and no answer. How can they direct their claims to a company that is just using their money and not handle the claims. I need help. So disappointed in this company! I choose a linoleum floor to be installed in June 2025. I was told that i would recieve a call from the installer with next business day & that this would be installed first of July. I did receive the call & was promted to pay in full the products & service. I was told I would recieve a call within the week once the supplies were ready for pickup. I did not, so therefore called Lowe's. I did this for four weeks. Each time I waited on hold a minimum of 30 minutes. Each person told me something different, said they were taking notes, however the next person had no idea what was going on. Finally I was told that the seam sealer glue was out of stock so they couldn't schedule my install until it arrived at the store. ( Tell me there isnt other options for seam sealant) The man that measured my kitchen said there would be no seams as my kitchen is one long room. I tried to explain this several times, but they insisted I needed this one particular brand of seam sealer. Upon waiting two more weeks, the seam sealer arrived in the mail at my home. I tried to call waited 45 minutes before giving up. Drove to the store to inform them that the glue they had been waiting for arrived at my house. Again, they were baffled and unable to help. Said that they were still waiting on the glue to arrive at Lowes!!! Finally the floor manager tried to help & said he would have the installer call me the following day. From this point ( with alot of confusion from both lowes & installer) my day was scheduled for install. I opted to move my appliances to save $. ( They charged a ridiculous fee to move fridge & stove & disconnect water from fridge) There were so many calls back & forth as nobody knew what was going on or what they were doing. I was told my supplies needed to be delivered 24 hours in advance to acclimate. I tried to coordinate between the 3 parties for delivery. The installer informed me they needed to reschedule as their employee was behind on a job. Then it was rescheduled. I again got a call saying their employee had to work Saturday so they needed to take Monday ( my install day) off. Then it was moved to Tuesday. My family took the weekend off to help me empty my kitchen & remove the old flooring. In the meantime lowes tried to deliver my products twice yet I had no install day. On Tuesday I received a call that their employee quit & they now only had 1 person to lay floors. I was moved to the following Friday between 12~3 arrival. The day I was leaving for Vacation. (end of August. Mind you this was supposed be installed first of July) They couldn't move me up, they said it would be sometime the following 2 weeks. Again my house was already torn up. Fridge & stove & furniture in my living room. We couldn't barely walk through the house. I told all parties several times that we were leaving for vacation after school. Finally they agreed to move me for install between 8~11 that Friday morning. Still unfortunate as I was trying to leave for vacation, but doable. Thursday the floor was delivered. Not all the supplies, just the roll of floor. The delivery guys smelled so potent of drugs that the scent lingered in my house about 15 minutes. I called Lowe's, after waiting forever, they figured out they would have the installers pickup the rest of the supplies Friday morning. Thursday afternoon I get a call from the installers that they wouldn't be to my house until 3 on Friday as the customer was not satisfied with their job & they would have to go back Friday morning. I lost it! How could I not be heard all the times & all the people I spoke to. The woman at the installers was awful! Zero help, zero care! After calling lowes again, they said they would work on it. Finally they agreed to have the installers Friday morning. This shouldn't have been the fight, bother, stress or terrible customer service experience!!! Now for the install.... they did arrive on time with the missing product. They sped through the job & got done about 1pm. They forgot to put an obvious piece of trim on, which I asked them to do before hurrying off. I asked how long until I could move my furniture back, they said 24 hours. Later that night before leaving for our vacation, the floor still looked rippled( like waves) I assumed the glue just needed to dry. Once back from our trip , the floor was still rippled. No difference. I found another place the trim wasn't added. I found lots of places they didn't caulk the trim. The board between the floors was crooked with lots of glue spilled out onto my wood floor. Upon washing my new floor, I found several places with hard spots under the floor ( wood chips, debris or dried glue) i know from experience if there are chunks under the linoleum, after walking on it for so long it will wear a hole through the linoleum. I also found a spot that looked like a tool or something fell and cut a hole in the new floor. After putting my house back together.... read more

Lowes delivered a badly dented, stackable washer & dryer unit to my house this morning. It was damaged IN THE BOX with no visible damage to the box itself. The delivery driver said it's from where they used a clamp to lift the unit. Did Lowes care? Absolutely NOT! They basically told me, tough shit!,...either return and wait a MONTH to get the replacement, or just reject the delivery! Said the driveway was too steep, yet UPS and Amazon deliver 3-4 times weekly. FIVE employees standing by the over abundant self check out registers and when the items I purchased didn't ring up buy one get one free as stated on the photo sign by the items, the employees told me to go back and check. After FOUR TRIPS back and forth and me carrying two extremely heavy bags of lawn feed I was told they stacked it wrong and it wasn't meant to be the deal and they didn't honor it. Lowe's Murfresboro, TN location... Went in since I'm the area for some home items and ended up getting more than I wanted! Like when you go to Wal-Mart... lol!!! Anyway, got some cool lamp shades that were reduced by 50%... Couldn't resist that especially when I was wanting a different look in the house. So, purchased the lamp shades and my other items I soooooo didn't need. As leaving the store I looked at my receipt and I was charged regular price! Oh-no.... Here is where the fun begins. So, I make my way to customer service and the nightmare begins - 1. Slow, slow, and slow... both customer service attendants. 2. One attendant was on the phone for 30 mins. 3. The other one just slow as a snail! 4. There was a line around the counter. Poorest customer service ever! I shall be going to Home Depot next time... Sadness. Sadly, the customer service has failed. The most recent issue occurred with the purchase of a Craftsman riding lawn mower with the protection plan. After one cutting, it would not start. Trying to get this resolved turned into an effort in futility. Have you tried to call this store? It is an unbearable experience of trying to get through the automated system to get to a person and then being on hold while the phone rings and rings. Unable to get through, I had to go to the store a couple times to get help. Trying to make a long story short, when I explained the lawn mower would not start, I was addressed by a curt manager who offered to pick it up and fix it, or to replace it. I chose replacement. The replacement did not come. Back to the store. I spoke to another manager who informed me the deliver was never scheduled. So we rescheduled. This time the truck/trailer showed up with no replacement lawn mower on it. One person who came said the replacement didn't work (makes you wonder about Craftsman) but they had a "2200 and its better." I declined and instructed them to return the mower for full refund. I called to speak to a manager. Ring right for a half hour so I drove down there. Speaking to the manager, he said the 2200 was a lesser lawn more. Needless to say, I need a company that will stand behind the products it sells and will do what they say they are going to do. That company is not Lowe's. After leaving the store the last time, I drove across the street and purchased a John Deere at Home Depot. read more

Not only did I get a great refrigerator, also got a great deal and delivery on a Saturday included. I wanted to write a review earlier, but I had been very busy. About two years ago, I bought a GE dishwasher which broke down within a year's time. So, now I purchased a Whirlpool. The same guy who put in my range hood was also the one who put in my GE dw. When he put in my hood, he short circuited the light. Another had to be ordered and it put off get my backsplash tiled. When he came out to put it in, I went to the fuse box and turned it off. He was having a bit of a problem and went out to the fuse box himself. After a half hour, I went out to the fuse box and the cover the hides the wires went missing. I asked him where it was and he denied ever seeing. He and I were the only ones in the house that day. Now, let's get back to the dishwasher. When he brought the new one into my home, I told him it looked small. I asked him four times if that was my dw and, without looking, he said they all look alike. Instead of taking his time and lowering the legs on the GE dw, he raked it across my tile and left a long oblong track of missing tile. He never told me about it, I noticed after he was gone. After he put in the Whirlpool dw, it was too small and left gaps on either side of the cabinet. I asked him again if this was my dw. Without looking, he said. "Yeah." Now, as I told Lowe's, I only had one day in that month to put in my dw because I was working a lot of overtime. I work nights and sleep during the day. I had two more night shifts to work and then off on a two week vacation. As I was sleeping, I got a phone call from this service guy. Apparently, he put in the wrong dw in my kitchen and he had to come out and exchange it. To say the least, I was livid. I had the dw running while I was sleeping and I gave him hell for waking me up over his mistake that should never have happened. Bought a new stove at this store. Installation included, we paid the $40 to have the old one hauled away. The "installers" arrived. He asked something like is this ok, by the front door to leave the stove. They did not have strong English skills. I said no, I need you to install this and take away the old one. He did not have the haul away on his ticket, good thing I could show him the receipt. Then he agreed to take the old stove. I lead him into the house and showed him where to install the stove. I turned my back for a moment and they were out the door. Boy that was fast! I went back to find the stove in the middle of my kitchen floor. All the tape, cardboard and packing material still on it. My husband had to install it, and good thing he is handy because most people would not be able to do this. Also, there is a law about stoves. The no tilt over plate must be installed to prevent it from tipping over were a child to sit or pull on the stove door. We bought a new over the range microwave. I've never installed one so I paid Lowe's to have it done. The service, Clume Installations, texted me to schedule the install visit. He called half hour before the window began to let me know he was on his way. Professional demeanor, swift and neat work and he was very friendly while we chatted as he worked. Completely a class guy. I never got my email from Lowe's asking me to rate the install. So this is my feeble effort to let people know that if you get the chance on an installation of any appliance from Lowe's in the Murfreesboro area, ask for Clume to do it. read more

I've shopped here for decades, but they have officially lost my business after our recent experience. Paid $3500 for doors May 6th and here it is 1 August and I still do not have any doors. I'm now told 16 August, but not so sure. They routinely blame the installer and refuse to take any responsibility. They have backtracked on previous statements and I have lost all faith that I will be told the truth. They have had zero communication with us; the only way we've been able to get an update is to make the trek to the store and go in. The doors have been sitting in the store since June and nothing has been done. I have reached out to corporate and all I get is the standard "sorry it happened and we will look into it," but nothing changes and I never hear back from corporate or the store. In my opinion, the store needs to close for a day and bring everyone in for training from the top down. If you need a project done, I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere. There is a major integrity issue at this store and not sure they even care. I will pay more someplace else before I use this store again. Next I wanted a smart deadbolt lock the one that I wanted said online only. So while I'm standing in the store I found it on amazon for $30 cheaper so I purchased it on Amazon. Next I wanted the nest thermostat and I told the cashier I wanted the copper color and she said that the copper color was online only. So I purchased that on Amazon as well for $30 cheaper also. Then, your people came out, asked her name, then said I am leaving this right here, you will have to load it yourself. I know this is a fact as I was on the phone with her and heard everything. we bought what we thought was a scratch or dent washer and dryer for $ 500. each . a little over a year later the washer will not come on and it is out of warranty. we called Samsung to check on the warranty and they tell us that that washer and dryer were registered by someone else a year and a half before we bought it . speculating here , someone must have bought it and had problems with them and returned them . a year and a half later they show up on Lowe's floor for sale in scrat and dent area . We e bought them for $ 1000. thinking the damage was only cosmetic..... wrong ! to me this is so deceptive on Lowe's part . never again ! beware !! read more

was promised a dryer delivery for Sunday 4-8 they called and canceled to Monday at 8am for them to pjs it back to 4-8 just for the to cancel all today wasted a whole day waiting on dryer and never delivered then to make matters worse they refused a refund for said dryer ($600.00) so they kept dryer and my money would never recommend this company ever read more

I don't know if it is just my timing, but every time I have been here the store has been mobbed with people. The staff is always overwhelmed. It is very difficult to ask a question or get service here because of it. The store is nice, and the people I have talked to (after a long wait) were very nice, just overworked. read more

Workers in store always willing to help but when go to check out the cashiers come up with every possible reason to not allow military discount. I always show my retired ID card and cashier either says they cannot accept it without a manager who is never available. Also been told the OD os not valid as the expiration date is indefinite. Really? So now cashiers knowledge of military IDs is taught? My wife's ID has been scrutinized and she has been asked if I am in the store to verify she can use her ID. If this is the way military members are treated go elsewhere, Tullahoma and Shelbyville are easy to show ID and always show their gratification for service. read more

This is one of those sometimes good other time not things . Bought a counter top and backsplash with installation was fantastic service and work . Then bought some light fixtures and to pay for the quoted service because of computer and coding problems too well over an hour . Service person was very cordial and apologetic but a very painful experience . It is so obvious that training on product and internal systems is very weak if exists at all . Good people being handed a bad deal by Lowe's. Oh and my New appliance purchase we will go somewhere else.. Big Company Big Profits and no sensitivity for my time . read more
