One of the worst retail/delivery experiences I've had. I ordered a washer/dryer set on Friday to be delivered on Sunday and paid for full installation. Sunday came and the only communication I received from the delivery team was that (at 2:15pm) they were on their way to me and I was their last stop of the day. At 5:50pm, I received a call from Lowes dispatch saying that there were too many stairs in front of my house to deliver the set and they would need to come another day. The only problem was that I had made sure to have the sales rep type into the order to use the street behind my house for the delivery due to many stairs out front. The dispatch acknowledged this and said they would have someone reach out to reschedule due to the failure of the delivery team to read the actual order. I called management to express my frustration, and they told me they would make some calls, get the situation fixed, and take money off the order to make this right. They then emailed me saying that Tuesday was the next closest time they could deliver and that someone from regional management would call me to discuss the experience. After the Sunday non-delivery, and never receiving a call from anyone from management, the delivery team finally arrived again at an automatically rescheduled Tuesday delivery, but an hour after telling me they were "15-20 minutes away." They then made me disconnect my washer and remove the side door of my house from its hinges, then afterward announced the new dryer door was obviously broken. They pressured me to decide on the spot, so I sent both machines back because I no longer trusted the team or the product condition. Management promised to help again but then called later that evening with "maybe" they could redeliver in two days and offered $100 off. Meanwhile I paid for full-service delivery/installation, lost two days (including a workday worth far more than $100), did the labor myself, and still couldn't get a confirmed delivery date. I have five kids and ended up heading to a laundromat because Lowe's couldn't do the bare minimum. Cancelled the order. Taking my business elsewhere. I would never risk purchasing from Lowes again. read more

Wife and I tried to track down a certain ceramic tile. We found it at Lowe's. We proceeded to go over to Lowe's for the tile. The store is huge and has tons of parking. I generally prefer Lowe's to Home Depot as there is generally better customer service and sales people that can help you find stuff. My wife and I where in and out in no time. This home improvement and big box plant store is the most convenient to me. I ordinarily do not have a preference of Home Depot vs. Lowe's but am starting to notice a couple differences -- 1) brands at least of lawn equipment and tools differ between the two store chains. That does make a difference to me after spending time researching what I want. 2) garden plants --tags seem better at giving needed info at Home Depot for example alerting me what is deer or bunny resistant. This was the most awful experience that i have ever had with a retail store! My items were to be delivered on Tuesday feb4th. The drivers showed up, spoke with my boyfriend about moving some things around in our driveway. They agreed and then the driver just left without warning! We then spent over an hr trying to get it rescheduled. A refrigerator was in this order so our food spoiled! The next day when the delivery men show up no one can clearly communicate with me. A pedestal for my dryer was missing in the order. The men continued to tell me that the drip pan would not fit and they had to remove it. I asked how to work the dryer and i was told that the manual was "right there". They turned on the washer and dryer and said "see, they work." They leave. As i am trying to run water from my new fridge(no water or ice by the way) i hear water in the ceiling. I run upstairs and water is everywhere on my 3rd floor of my brand new house that i have not even slept in yet. I then spent 2 hrs trying to get a hold of someone after being disconnected 3 times and transferred 4 times. I was told that i will have to wait another 3 days for someone to come back out and i am not even confident that my problems will be resolved! read more

Lowes Homestead is run by a bunch of clowns! My mother went in over a month ago....84 years old, to get a quote and a call for an estimate on putting in a fro mica countertop. Its been a month! No call, no nothing! So I went down there to inquire. Oh.....They have no information on my mom! They said they don't come out to measure for countertops! That is not what they told my mother when they took her name, address and phone number. I was there when they specifically gave her the information so they cant blame it on her being senile! So while I was in there inquiring, I literally waited 30 minutes for someone to come help me in another isle on a verbal inquiry I gave. NO ONE CAME! I was a 10k a year buyer from lowes. All I have to say is WOW. if you want to spend your money at a store where they will provide you with the worst treatment, and where they'll never accept accountability for their horrible service, come shop here. I purchased a sink online for pick-up. Right after placing the order, I contacted the store, to see if there was any way to expedite the sink and I said I would be willing to pay any expediting fees. The girl I spoke with took down my phone number and said that it shouldn't be a problem. She said usually if they call and speak to the vendor, they can expedite it right after you place the order (which is what I had done). After waiting 3 days with no follow-up call, I called the store to find out what was happening. This is when I started to feel as though I was being punked or on candid camera. The first representative made it clear that he was busy and said he couldn't locate the order when we provided the phone number on the order. He was so ready to pass the buck. So I called back to see if someone else could help. Why does the customer have to feel like they need to do this is beyond me but nevertheless, this is what I did. The girl who answered the phone said she couldn't pull up the order either with the phone number that was on the order. I had an email confirmation with it on there but for some reason they couldn't locate it. I said do you want the order number or invoice number? She said no. They can not retrieve orders with either of those numbers. Hmmmm. Very strange. So I requested to speak with a manager. Her name is Cindy. Cindy gets on the phone, and miraculously was able to locate the order. Then she proceeded to give the worst attitude, as if we were inconveniencing her ! Shame on me. She completely disregarded the entire situation and proceeded to tell me that the order would be available on the day it was supposed to be. Again. Hmmmm. The whole reason for this debacle was because I was trying to get it expedited but that did not matter to Cindy. I explained this to her and she hung up on me. The best thing I can say about this place is that they sometimes have what I need, but wow, is it always a painful process. The lines are ridiculous, they seem to be chronically understaffed. They process for getting a propane tank borders on Kafkaesque. Aisles are randomly blocked off. Shelves are often empty. I had a complete kitchen remodel being done. Due to supply shortages with Covid I ordered the 400 sq ft of porcelain tile for the floor early to have it for the contractors. Due to the contractor and his crew getting Covid my project was delayed. Trying to return 4 of the 17 boxes of tile back to Lowe's I was refused and credit due to their 90 day return policy even after all this chaos with supply chain issues and the pandemic. After spending thousands of dollars with this company their refusal of accommodating a refund with a valid receipt is just bad business. Had to cancel an order for a major appliance the day after I ordered it. I was able to do it effectively over the phone thanks to Dia (Daya?). She caught and corrected a previous error in my credit amount, emailed me images of the receipts and was pleasant and helpful throughout the process. Very disappointed in the lack of customer service I had experienced, not only in the store, but by their over-the-phone customer associates, and third-party companies as well. We were looking to get an estimate on carpeting. After waiting about 20 minutes in the store with asking multiple associates if they could help us, finally a gentleman came to ask us what we wanted help with. He was absolutely no help what-so-ever. We had asked him questions about different carpeting and he told us just to "pick whatever you like" but didn't know what the differences were. We decided to go with Lowe's because they had a $35 estimate fee (which you would get back if you ordered through them) and a $200 rebate at the time. We scheduled our appointment in the store and went on our way. Our closing for our new house was pushed back so I called the store to reschedule. I was on hold for 45 minutes and got transferred around 3-4 times before I finally got an associate who worked in carpeting. He put me on hold a couple of times to check with the third-party vendor to see when their next available appointment was. He then rescheduled me for a week out IN THE MORNING, which is what I requested. He told me that my time slot was from 8-12 and that he would put it in the notes to have them call me when they were an hour and a half out because that's how long it would take myself and the realtor to make it to the house for the estimate. Two days before our estimate, I decided to call Lowe's and got to the correct department on the first try. The woman told me she didn't have access to the third-party vendor's website but that I could chat them online, which I did. When I was chatting with the vendor, they told me that I was scheduled for an afternoon appointment... To my dismay, the next day I had called the vendor directly. At this point I'm irate because I couldn't do an afternoon appointment. When I spoke with an associate of the vendor, they had essentially said that there was nothing they could do and that I would have to wait until over a week to reschedule, as the estimate associate was overbooked! Horrible, horrible, horrible, customer service. I guess you get what you pay for but you bet I asked for a refund and will be following-up with them everyday until it's processed. I went to Lowe's on Saturday evening, February 22. A sweet quiet gentleman by the name of Dan made me three keys. I was highly impressed with the prices, and selection of designs and the employee Dan ( the key maker from hardware) that I went back the next morning to get more keys made. Excellent service. When they asked for someone to immediately come to hardware, Joe Drozsenk immediately arrived and spent quite a bit of time with me until we were able to figure out what I needed. His endless patience and tenacity was an experience I have NEVER had in a Lowes..I've been to Lowes in FL, GA, NY and PA. I stopped in because I needed to buy some DampRid for my bathroom. I was in the waterfront doing some other shopping when I decided to just stop here. I asked a gentleman where I could locate this product and he stated in would be in one of two aisles. I'm always impressed at home improvement stores how the employees know exactly where every product is.. no matter how small or popular. I went into the first aisle mentioned with no luck then onto the next one. I still didnt have luck and asked another employee who said i was in the right aisle but the product was located at the very end on the bottom shelf. While i was satisfied with the customer service, it would have been easier and more friendly if one of those workers showed me where the product was. I'm always lost in these stores. Lowes competitor kind of goes well beyond and shows you exactly where product is. Not a big deal, just explaining my 3 star review :) The DampRid was sold in a 2 pack for under $6. Lowe's is my goto store for home improvement supplies. It's convenient and local to me. Customer service is always great and prices are fair. My most recent experience with customer service was AMAZING. So a hose burst on my hot tub. Call repair guy or try to fix it myself? I gave it a go. Took pictures of the hose and fitting and headed to the plumbing section. I showed the gentleman the picture and asked for help. He didn't have exactly the fitting for a hot tub, but gave me what he thought would work. It did! Under $3 bucks later and all was a go! Winter came and it sprung a leak in same spot. My fault and maybe lack of strength to tighten fitting and frigid temps. Back to plumbing section. Same gentleman. Gave me the advice again and bam, fixed! THIS is what I want in customer service. Infinite thanks to Scott, who helped us resolve endless issues we were having that started when another Lowe's store sent us a dented dishwasher that we refused. It was impossible to get anyone at the other store to address our issue of getting a replacement, so we just ordered another one. The new dishwasher came through the Homestead store, and there turned out to be an availability issue with that dishwasher. We were expecting to be stuck in yet another morass of phone calls that got us nowhere, but it was quite the opposite. The manager Scott came through immediately with a resolution that exceeded our expectations. We definitely recommend the Homestead Lowes. They really know how to show customers that they count! read more

Contracted with Lowes for a vinyl fence 5/21. The Fence was installed 9/7/21-9/10/21 by Musselman Construction. I started calling customer support beginning 9/8/21 when there appeared to be a problem with installation. The posts don't all appear to be in the ground deep enough, the entire fence wobbles back and forth when you close the gate, the posts move. The modification on the fence is't acceptable, rocks and dirt on the property were used to fill in gaps where the fence doesn't touch the ground. The fence isn't flush against the siding as drawn on the estimate, what was intended to be a privacy fence is not. During the process a section of my grass was destroyed ground cover broken, dirt and cement splashed and left on the side of my house and debris left in my driveway. When issues where pointed out to the contractor he stated I was complaining and he was happy with the work his people did. Everyone I spoke with at Lowes was sorry for my experience. I requested a full refund this fence is not redeemable. No resolution from Lowes yet. read more

I bought the building materials I needed on my own - no help needed. The associate at the Pro register is always very friendly and helpful - this complaint has only a little to do with him. I asked for assistance loading drywall into my truck. He paged someone. I waited and waited then went to my truck and unloaded the 2x4 studs I purchased. I waited some more and went back into the store and told the associate no one had assisted me (I was at the Pro entrance-three Lowe's employees were loading concrete into a van and then disappeared and ignored my ask for assistance). He pages someone again and then told the woman at the next Pro register he was stepping away from his register for a minute. Never told her about my request. Again, no one showed up after waiting and waiting. Finally, I separated the two sheets of drywall and wrestled them into the bed of my truck in the wind on my own. I went back to the store and approached the Pro Desk. The young woman at the register blandly asked me if I had a question (no, I was just there to gaze at her!). I told her I had a complaint and what it was. She said nothing. I said clearly nothing was going to happen because she didn't even take my name. I then asked for a manager. (Oh, I was going to ask you if you wanted to talk to a manager). She called and a man came around the counter to talk to me and apologized. I saw he was a sales associate so that conversation was pointless. Miss Bland the desk associate told me a manager was coming. Waited and waited again. No one showed: apparently the manager (I believe Miss Bland said the person is a woman) couldn't be bothered to toodle over and find out what the issue is. I am done with this stinking store. West Mifflin offers a thousand times superior customer service even though it is further away for me. If I can't get good service there, I am sure Home Depot will value the thousands of dollars I spend on materials every year. Thank you, Lowes Munhall, for exactly nothing. read more

Lowe's has knowledgeable employees that offer advice to the DIYs as well as a stable of contractors to hire out the big jobs. Returns are handled seamlessly, who doesn't grab the wrong part? Their garden section is great for Spring planting. They have competatively priced appliances. 5% off with Lowe's credit card is also nice. Having those large items delivered is a convenience. Their best asset is the expertise of the staff. I frequently change mind on an original concept based on their input. Highly recommended read more
