We walked in and they serve Penn state ice cream!!!! There is about two dozen flavors to choose from and they will let you sample too! I had the raspberry truffle and it was sooo good! It's so nice to see something in this space thriving! Give it a try - no excuse - there is ample parking too!

Buy 5 yards of mulch and/or mushroom manure and they deliver for free. They do not seem to sell "Bonnie", which in my opinion is great since Bonnie is everywhere and some of their practices are controversial. Their mulch is premium mulch, though it does seem to have its share of duckgrass. One year we used it, and we got sorghum growing in the yard. We bought a number of roses from them. Many of the "drift" brand varieties have done well. Some of the Ingrid Bergman roses got Rose rosette disease. It's not clear if they came from here or from another location, though, so I am not 100% sure, but I'm pretty sure I got it from here, but maybe not  It's a horrible disease. This year, we got some swiss chard to transplant and it was infested with leafborers, which also infected my beets. Now that I know what it looks like I'll actively avoid it. I have heard it can happen when the seasons are cold/wet spring and then hot early, which we had this year. In the end it is a business and they are in business because they sell you things. You really shouldn't transplant squash, melon, cucumber, but they do sell them for transplanting. It's better to stick to seeds with these and sow starting end of May to July. The place is cleared out of vegetables (and other annuals) by mid June. They could have a second round but I guess they want to keep that simple. Perhaps the number of customers doesn't allow it.

We picked out a large Japanese Maple for $499 plus the same for installing and 2 other plants we would plant ourselves. After waiting for a few weeks with no communication, we went back to find out about planting. We saw the tree we had put our name on was gone. The other 2 were still there. We were going on vacation at the end of May (tree still not delivered) and called and told them to wait until we get back now. Called when we got back to schedule and mentioned we didn't see our tree when we were there. I'm assuming they sold it to someone else. He showed a pic on the phone of another tree he could plant. He said it was the same. We said ok and they came the next morning. The tree they brought was at least 2-3 feet shorter than the one we picked. The root ball was about 1/3 of the one we picked. After talking to the owner and him arguing about the tree, he offered $100 off the price. I was just so pissed off, I just had them plant the new tree just to stop dealing with them. We got this tree to shield our pool from the 2 houses next door that were for sale since we weren't sure how nice they would be. It will be a few f*****g years till it grows to a decent height.

They said they had them and they were really nice. They weren't kidding. They had a beautiful selection of water lilies, lettuce and hyacinths and I really stocked up for my Koi pond. There was also a huge selection of flowers, plants, ornamental trees, veggies and herbs, pretty much anything you could be looking for garden-related. The customer service was fantastic as I was asked several times if there was anything specific I was looking for and if they could help me. It was nice to see several people on the floor working and anxious to be helpful to customers. I also found the prices to be really fair here. The water hyacinths were a couple of dollars less than the sad looking ones at the other place, and the couple of plants I got were priced at below what I would have paid at a big box store. I would always rather support a local business. I also remember from when I was younger that they do nice special events here such as Santa photos during the holidays. It's a very nice shop and if you have any questions about whether they have what you need, call before you go as they seem more than happy to be helpful!

Terrible, my neighbor wanted to take it back and dump it there. But I decided to post here and help others. Won't be going there again. If I could give them a negative review, I would have. I ordered a truck load delivery of topsoil and was appalled by the quality. Full of pebbles and a dust-like quality that hardly resembled soil. I called the owner to express my concerns. He returned my call and said pebbles should be minimal, but that's about all he said. We will not order or buy from him again. Side note: The owner has a "GUNS ARE WELCOME" sign hanging behind the register. While we were checking out, my 7yo asked him why he has the sign hanging since guns usually are not welcome (in our home, that'the case). The owner didn't seem able to answer and just shrugged it off. This a fair question considering that 2nd graders undergo active shooter drills on a regular basis in this country. We miss Jenkins!
