Horrible experience. NEVER, EVER shop at this nursery!!!!! Their product is poor quality and overpriced. I spent thousands of dollars on shrubs and trees and 90% of them didn't make it through the summer. They clearly knew the product was bad because they provided full refund but even the replacement plants are not in good shape. Mike is the person you deal with for issues with plants and he couldn't be more nasty. He even admitted to me they knowingly sold me hundreds of dollars of trees two days before they announced a 50% off everything sale and said wouldn't you do the same in your line of work. My boyfriend went in and the man he worked with was also miserable and nasty. I will add when I was waiting to check out there was a man in front of me returning everything he had purchased within a few days ago so there is a pattern here...I recommend Michael Brothers- lower prices, kinder staff and BETTER QUALITY!! Ordered soil and a large landscaping rock to be delivered. The driver was fantastic- placed the rock exactly where I wanted it and was able to dump the soil exactly where I needed it behind my house! Very pleased. read more

My family took me to Plumline in search of herbs to plant in this years culinary garden. The grounds of Plumline are beautiful. There are rows and rows of all kinds of shrubs and trees, perennials and annuals. There is a greenhouse with water lilies, hanging baskets of annuals, tomato and pepper varieties, and herbs. Many beautiful pots to choose from as well. Our purchase also included a Meyer lemon, which are great to pot up and grow indoors in a sunny room. I found the prices of the plants to be a bit high with roses at $45-$55 per plant, and the herbs we purchased were $5 each. I don't have experience with this nursery to know if the plant quality is good and makes the price worth it, but will eventually find out. The selection of plants is simply unbeatable compared to what you'll find in the surrounding area. read more

I have had mixed success and experiences here. Today I picked up native swamp milkweed which isn't easy to find vs. the nativars. For that I am thankful. However, they are not inexpensive at 14.99 each. I was able to get another native milkweed, also hard to find, small but 2nd year butterfly weed for 4.99 at 2 different nurseries. They are no longer taking Phipps Conservatory membership as a discount. If it were that in itself I could be somewhat sympathetic given the year we have all had. Native plants are hard to find here, not that this is unusual with most nurseries, 8t is just that with premium prices, I'd like to be able to find more. And, while rudbeckia maxima has a special native tag on it at this nursery and is in its native and not nativar form, it is native to more Southern states, not PA. Top all this off with my cashier today, the receipt says Jerry. Well, he was as personable as a doornail. Just saying. If you want to be open, attract customers, and thrive, maybe start with happy to be there staff. We can go from there as I made a special trip to a not so convenient nursery for what used to be when I first started coming here a few years ago a pleasant experience with helpful staff. Will I return? Probably only if they have in stock a particular native plant for a decent price I can't find closer. Note, I could have ordered my plants online and had them shipped easier, same price. I chose to support my local business. But now I gotta ask, why? read more

My wife and I are very pleased with Plumline Nursery, both for Ron's design of our new front lawn as well as its installation which was speedy on a very hot day. We had another estimate which was less expensive, but it didn't come close to matching Ron's experience with design and he listened closely to what we were looking for, so we knew it was worth the extra expense. Expertise is worth it. Unfortunately this summer's drought hit right after the installation and, despite watering, some of the lawn didn't take well. Plumline, without any hassle, took care of it, reseeding as necessary and adding a couple plants that they didn't need to do, but did anyway. Our front yard looks great now. We want to add a special Kudo to Project Manager, Paul, who went out of his way make sure our lawn looks as nice as it does now. Our backyard will be next. We highly recommend Plumline. read more

Couldn't be more disappointed. I ordered 5 ton of large Maryland seashore rock to finish my landscaping. What I received was some large rock but with a great deal of marble sized and smaller stone. There was well over a ton of this useless stone. So I not only received less actual rock than I should have the small stone made it double the work to dig through it to get to the good rock. I went back to the nursery with pictures and asked for a refund for 1 ton only to be told by Frank (the delivery manager)"That's what we got so that's what you got". Pretty clear they have no problem selling inferior product. I will not trust them for any further business. read more

Stopped in a couple weeks ago for some trees. We just put a hot tub in and we're looking to create a little privacy. We know less than nothing about trees, plants, etc. We were very fortunate to find Kristen. She had just finished with another customer and we were able to snag her. She really knows her stuff! We showed her pics of where we wanted to put things. We also showed her pics of the rest of our landscaping (we hired pros for that, who got all of our stuff form PlumLine) so that the new wouldn't look out of place. She showed us several options and was very kind and patient when I wasn't crazy about any of them. She kept thinking and found us exactly what we needed. PlumLine is a little more expensive, but we'll worth it. Whenever I need something, I will call and make sure Kristen will be there to help! read more

I can't express how amazing this nursery is. Seriously, if you need ANY trees, bushes, flowers, succulents, decor.....GO TO PLUMLINE. My boyfriend's clients highly recommended this nursery as he wants to create a garden in the backyard. We began thinking we only needed one tree, one tree turned into three, and three turned into five! Being our first visit to Plumline we were personally escorted by an employee to an area that matched our tree preferences. She went through the entire section pointing out what might appeal to us and others similar to what we were describing. After, she left us to discuss the options & another employee helped us once we made a decision. Both employees had recommendations based on our description of the future backyard. They were SO knowledgeable about each type of tree. The two most important lesson about Plumline: 1. Go in expecting to love way more trees than you planned 2. The employees aren't going to pressure you to buy The second lesson was what we loved most. They really cared about the trees and helped us pick the right ones instead of just selling the product. Did I mention they also deliver?? Delivery fare is priced right ($45 for 5 mi & an additional $7/mile) and they take the shortest route on Google Maps to plan the cost. They were very responsible with contacting us when they were on their way and showed up at the exact time they said they would. We dug holes and planted the trees ourselves, but I believe they offer planting services too. Um.....did I also mention everything was HALF OFF!? Going to Plumline we had no idea this sale was going on, and we were pleasantly surprised! I believe it's their fall special, but I'd double-check on when that ends! Overall we bought 5 trees and Biotone fertilizer. And with the tax and delivery fee, EVERYTHING came out to be $750. I say that's the best you can get. This was the easiest and most painless process for a large purchase. Don't think, just go! You'll end up loving the serene and inviting atmosphere of Plumline just as we did. read more

We bought a paperbark maple tree from Plumline. Matt delivered and planted it today. We talked with Matt while he worked and the conversation was pretty cool. Our neighbor even said something about how much fun we were having! The tree looks great. We received good instructions for care and are pleased with the terms of their guarantee. We love going to Plumline for everything that we need. The staff is always incredibly helpful, I have no idea about plants and I'm really good at killing them. They're able to find me hardy plants that work with what I want to do! They know their species, what works where, and how to take care of everything. It's such a different experience than any big box store! All of our landscaping was done by Plumline (a B. Tribou original) and we've never let anyone else touch our yard since! read more

The staff was incredibly friendly, and knowledgeable. The plants were the healthiest specimens I've seen at any nursery so far. The prices are a bit on the higher side, but if you want good quality, and rarer species i think that is to be expected. This is the place to go if you actually know what your looking at..
