Maybe I'm just being petty but this is copied directly from their website regarding their new military discount. In my opinion what it boils down to is we thank you for your service but only the $0.30 we will discount you on a box of screws. NOT the stove you need to cook your family dinner. I'd give -0 stars if I could. Customer service is atrocious. Employees are extremely rude and unwilling to properly help if you're needing it. Wasn't asked if I needed any help w anything and when I asked abt an item I was needing I was pretty much brushed off by the front cashier. Wouldn't recommend going to this Lowe's. Had awesome service in the gardening department. I was lost and an employee came along and ended up helping me through the whole rest of my trip-right through check out and to my car. I didn't think I would need a cart and ended up buying way more things than I needed so it was helpful to have someone tell me where everything was located and help me carry items across the store. I bought a bunch of mulch and was told it would be loaded into my car, but after pulling up, I was told that they could only load into a truck right now due to COVID-19 safety concerns. As a dedicated Lowe's customer taking the vast majority of my hardware and other home needs to Lowe's the entirety of my adult life, I am very disappointed, due the treatment outlined below, to take my business elsewhere. On August 29th, 2020, Lowe's installed chain link fencing at my daughter's new house, which we had recently purchased for her while she is at college. In fairness, I worked through Lowe's and they had a contractor come out and do the work with materials from Lowe's. I then visited my daughter on Saturday, Sept 1st, 2020 and upon inspecting the job, noticed a large puddle of water around one of the new fence posts. It had not rained and there weren't any other puddles, so I knew right away we had a problem. Tracing the water meter from the street, it was obvious the contractors had hit the waterline coming into the house. I immediately called the number on my project paper from Lowe's only to get a voicemail. It was a holiday weekend. So, I called the sales reps number from Lowe's that sold me the fence and got voicemail, and I called the contractor who installed the fence and got voicemail. I called the local Lowe's store and they gave me a national Lowe's Contractor's service line which I called and connected with an individual covering for everyone who didn't know my market or have any specifics to offer other than saying "get it fixed and we'll reimburse you". I had the water company come out and turn off the water and after hours on the phone, I was able to find a local plumber who could come out on Tuesday, September 3rd to replace the waterline. The quote was $4,900. At this point, while a terrible inconvenience, I was approaching this with understanding that accidents happen, and trusted Lowe's would make me whole quickly and be apologetic for the challenge. Unfortunately, that understanding was not met with action on Lowe's behalf in any way shape or form and here I am a month later still waiting for someone, anyone with real authority to make this right at Lowe's to do something. Disappointment #1 - reviewing the RING video/audio footage of the contractors putting in the fence, it was obvious they knew something was wrong. They can be seen over the hole before the post was put in saying it's filling with water and none of the others were. If they had just stopped then and called me, I could have had a plumber come out before the holiday weekend and fix this and my daughter wouldn't have been without water for 4 days right as she was starting her new semester. And, we wouldn't have had water leaking for 4 days running up my water and sewer bill. Disappointment #2 - when I finally did hear back from the local Lowe's contractor services manager, she tried to put this on me for not having the line marked. Here's the problem, I specifically asked my Lowe's sales rep if I needed to call anyone to have the lines marked and his response was, "No, we will take care of all of that for you". Apparently in that city, they only mark the utility lines, but not the owner's service lines. Had I made the call they would have informed me of that, and I would have contacted another service to mark the waterline. Unfortunately, whoever from Lowe's called to have the lines marked didn't take that extra step. Disappointment #3 - it took two weeks after informing the local Lowe's contractor service manager of this for Lowe's to seemingly accept I was not to blame for this mishap and to indicate they were turning this over to their insurance company and an adjuster would be calling within 3-5 days. Disappointment #4 - here we are today nearly two weeks after the 3-5 days was shared and I have yet to hear from anyone from Lowe's or the insurance company and the local contractor services manager hasn't provided a reason or a new ETA. I had to pay the $4,900 out of pocket and charge that to a credit card and now that it's been a month, the interest has capitalized to the balance and I've had to make an inflated monthly payment as well as have seen my credit score take a hit because of the higher utilization. Beyond that, the amount of time, energy and frustration that has gone into this has been extreme not to mention the time my daughter was without water during a pandemic with little recourse to go elsewhere. Mistakes happen! If the contractor had just called during installation it would have been so much better. But Lowe's has had every opportunity to make this right for a month now and no one there seems to care enough about me as a customer to take action. If this is how Lowe's treats their customers in the challenging times, I refuse to bring my money and all my needs to them the rest of the time. So very disappointed!!! read more

First off, I will say I always appreciate a place that appreciates veterans. Lowes has always been a place for us to go to pick things up, get supplies, even have questions answered. When we go to Lowe's, their workers always seem so knowledgeable and willing to help. Most of the time if you ask where some thing is, that person will actually take you to the location. (I point this out because there are other big box lumberyard stores that just kind of point and tell you where things are.) Another thing I like about this chain is if you are looking for something specific and they don't have it in the store they will help you get it ordered either to pick up their order to have it shipped to your house. This is something that is really good when you are looking for an item that is not always so common or if it is so common that they are out of it often. Overall, this is a very good store to visit and to shop. read more

Ordered 2k worth of appliances to deliver. Delivery postponed a week, no big deal. Next week comes with no notification as to when it is to be delivered. Had to call the store to be told "the delivery team is doing that a lot now" and "they just have 8-8 as the timeline". So we now have to block out a 12 hr window of time instead of the 3 hrs we were promised. I understand it's a third party delivery, but Lowes should be more strict with this as they are the ones promising timeline updates that are actually helpful. Very unhappy with delivery service! First of all we boyght a washer and had to wait a week for it to be delivered! Then yesterday we received a call from lowes and they said it would be delivered between 8-10. That was okay. Now we received a phone call at 10 and they said it would be delivered between 11-1. This is after we rearranged our day for between 8-10!This is poor customer service. Then the guy on the phone tried to make it like we were the bad guys for expecting it to be there when they told us. They called us yesterday and told us the 8-10 time. Recently we purchased a counter top sink for a replacement in our master bathroom. The cost of the counter top was approximately $240.00 and the installation and delivery was under the sink as $175.00. My wife was informed the installation could be $200.00 and was given a piece of paper with the installers name and phone number on it. I called the installer and he asked me a few questions and I informed him we had already had picked up the counter top and only needed installation. He then stated the cost would be $450.00. We picked up the sink and the sign at Lowes under the counter top stated $175.00 for installation and delivery. I then called Lowes back and asked to talk with the manager. After waiting 15 minutes the line went dead. I called the same store back and the same operator why she had hung up on me. She stated she did not. It was the same person. She stated the manager had already left the store. This is an old bait and switch deal. Give one quote and then when someone buys something hit them with another price. I then called Lowes Corporate HQ Phone number and waited 45 minutes. I then hung up and went to the Lowes Complaint Website what I saw was absolutely sickening. BEWARE - The return policy has change and they may deny a refund or store credit even on a an item they currently stock. I have shopped Lowes a lot of years and even had companies I worked for purchase products directly from the stores, but Lowes WILL NO LONGER BE A FIRST GO TO WHEN I HAVE A NEED. The return policy prevented me from returning a product without a receipt. I seldom have a problem with losing a receipt, but this one escaped me. I had this product in my possession for 5 to 6 weeks and was returning it due to a change in construction and it was not needed. The product was in the manufacturers packaging and was undamaged. After asking for my ID and scanning in the product code, the associate informed me that he could not refund me for this cash purchase and could not even offer me store credit. I then asked to talk to the store manager who reviewed the information the associate gave him and then the store manager informed me he could not authorized a refund or store credit for my items. After I responded by questioning, "Even in the original packaging and an item currently sells in the store?" He then explained that Lowes corporate had changed their policy on returns based on a volume of returns that had taken place over time due to cancelled projects for which product had been bought. Not fully explained but seemed to be associated with materials used in home projects and construction. AGAIN, BEWARE THAT THE RETURN POLICY HAS CHANGED. I purchased for curbside pick up twice. The first order was a complete disaster. After dialing the number 6 times with the extension as posted on the parking spot, they "answered." But the only thing I could hear was the associates at the desk talking. I don't know if they had "auto-answer" or whatever. But after 20 minutes, I finally went in, which defeats the purpose of doing curbside, in my scrubs from the hospital to pick up my order. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. I made another order for curbside. Again, I called another 4 times. Their menu options changed and all you had to do was press 2. But, if they didn't answer within 10 seconds, it rebounded back to the menu. Once I finally got someone to answer, they said they'd place me on a "brief hold." She hung up on accident. So I called back another 3 times to get someone to answer. "Well, I placed you on a brief hold and it seems that I lost the call." It wasn't worth the argument to tell her the call "dropped" when she placed me on a "brief hold." Then, trying to tell her my order number took me 6 times and shouting into my phone. No apology. Still as unstructured and pointless as the last time. Curbside pickup is meant for convenience and limiting exposure. I guess I'll continue to walk in. read more

This location has Poor customer service, I know of two customers who have ordered flooring, there was delays of putting it in and one of the customers have had to wait because the person doing the estimates said thepad could be placed on top of the current floor,, but when the installer show up he said it would have to come out, then Lowes did not deliver the tiles, saying the installer would pick it up and he said no Lowes had to deliver it. So when the tiles arrived and the installer started putting it in, he said they were not lining up so it was determined the tiles were defective and now they are going to have to wait three weeks to get the floor installed, when he talked to the store manager, she said that was the scheduling dept annd she has no control. I will not buy another thing from Lowes! I bought a $2000.00 LG refrigerator on 05/11/2018. After less than two months the ice/water dispenser messed up and quite working all together. I have been trying to get someone out here for a month to fix it. I had even bought the extended warranty. The only authorized repairman are out of Ft.Wayne. They cancelled the time they were suppose to come out and have yet to reschedule. Guess I will have to keep calling. I went to Lowes to complain about this whole problem. Now for my complaint " 8-23-2020 " Muncie indiana on McGalliard .between 8:30 -11:30 the cashier in customer service with brown/blonde hair no glasses ! She offered to help me even tho I was waiting for "Blake" again since I had excellent service with him the last time I had to settle for this cashier instead due to Blake helping other customers ! I am hard hearing and have a disability for hearing impaired due to loud back ground noises I cannot hear as I approached the clerk she stated " can you back up " I said no I don't think so I'll take my money some where else ! These cashiers are not considering the hearing impaired or any other disability when they demand orders to a paying customer ! On that note I will have have my phone on to record my next encounter with a Lowe's staff so corporate can retrain their cashiers to the hearing impaired! Thank you ! read more

I have used Lowe's for many years around the country, recently we moved to the Muncie area and have been using the local Lowe's in Muncie for our home needs. This has got to be the worst Lowe's store I have ever experienced. I have had online delivery orders cancelled without notice, while spending 12 hours at home waiting for the delivery, no show no call. Then to be told the order was cancelled, no reason known. I have gone to do curbside pickup and waited for almost 30 minutes before the cashier finally came out to load, all the while I saw at least 3 employees in the parking lot picking up carts. Other times it has been items out of stock, when other local hardware stores have the same items in stock. (recommend your buyer get with them for their source). I hate to do this but it looks like I will have to take my business elsewhere. Would recommend driving to another city if you are going to use Lowe's, do not use the Muncie store. read more

I contracted Lowe's to build a small deck on my mothers home. Jerry, my sales person was very responsive and patient with me. I wanted to get other quotes because I naturally assumed Lowes would be the most expensive. Much to my surprise they weren't. Jerry quoted me a fair, competitive price for the work to be done. The job was contracted out to J. Morrows Construction. I was very pleased with the professionalism of Michael who led the construction crew. He communicated with me consistently and showed great interest in trying to make sure that he was meeting my expectations even though this was not a large-scale job. The deck is beautiful. It seems well constructed, and work was completed in a very timely fashion. I was not able to be there at completion, so my mother had to do the final inspection and she said they did clean up and removed debris. Thank you Michael. You represent Morrow construction well. There is an old expression - screw me once shame on you - screw me twice shame on me! Don't make the same mistake I did! Lowes advertised a dishwasher that they did not have in stock. OK fine we will order it! Guaranteed to be delivered and installed in 30 days or less. OK - a guarantee. First dishwasher arrives - it arrives broken from the manufacturer. OK - my wife lost a day of work; but, OK - they'll put a rush on it and get us an new one - pronto! Lowes still has just under two weeks to meet their 'guaranteed' deadline. Day 36 - the dishwasher finally arrives and we get the call (3 days later) to arrange for delivery - day 39! Day 42 we finally get it installed and this one actually works! Another guarantee - installer will haul away the old dishwasher - they did not do this. I guess it was my wife's fault to forget to remind the Lowes contracted professionals how to do their jobs? I personally visit LOWES about the matter - I have a way in mind to make it right and satisfactory for all! I ask to see one to the appliance managers. I ask him if their contracted professional plumbers also fix leaky bathtub faucets. He tells me they do! I make the suggestion that to make it right for not meeting all of their guarantees - just send out one of their plumbers to fix the faucet and I will even take care of the broken dishwasher disposal myself and I will apply two LOWES gift cards towards the cost. Well, this manager directs me to another, who directs me to another, who finally tells me that some top manager named 'Mo' - not sure what it is short for will have to make the final decision of how to make this right. They have now wasted 40 minutes of my time making me hope from one manager to the next! Finally, Mo contacts me to let me know that he could send the contracted installers back out to pick up the dishwasher - but, he would not do anything further! He kind of reminded me of the priests who ignored and left the hurt man. A good Samaritan would have just done the right thing and simply make it right for the customer.
