We have just had horrible luck with refrigerators from Lowe's. Our LG was a nightmare for 3 years so we thought let's go with a more reliable brand. We bought a Bosch with a 5 year extended warranty. The Bosch arrived with adhesive on the door Lowe's didn't believe us wouldn't come off. Lowe's tried to remove it and spent almost an hour trying to prove us wrong. We ended up with a new refrigerator. Now the fun begins. They extended warranty team didn't believe we bought the extended warranty for over 3 weeks. We spent a ton of time calling and emailing them proof of purchase before they would show we bought the extended warranty. Man I miss the refrigerators that lasted 20 years. read more

Bought a new fridge that the service guy said puts micro plastic in the ice and from day 1 had condensation between the fridge and freezer. Did some research and according to the model and ser.# my BRAND NEW fridge was actually 10 years old. After a major headache I got a Bosh. It was too large so I got an LG that to is a piece of shit!! I've had it for a month and the water and ice taste like iodine. Found water isn't going through the filter ( filter iLG just sent a new filter and the water is not going through that one either. Contacted them for a service and they told me it's the waterline. WTF does that have to do with water not going through the filter?? After a lengthy conversation guess he finely actually listened to me when I said it's probably the filter mechanism that's not working. Said he's going to send service person. I will NEVER purchase another appliance from Lowe's. It's either old being sold as new, or a new piece of crap that doesn't work. read more

Very helpful staff on each visit we've made to the Madera store. The insulation we're using on our addition at the house isn't available at the Fresno or Clovis location. So we've made multiple trips to the Madera store in the past few months for Rockwool R-15 insulation. It's stone wool unfaced insulation and it's good stuff. 12 batts to a package and those packages are huge and heavy. That's where the helpful staff comes in. The flooring is a scam. They installed my flooring wrongly. No one responses or care. The store manger Troy Norris was the worst among them. He was rude and condescending. He lacks basic communication skills, and shouldn't be a manger nor should be working with people. They are been ignoring the bad install for years, and now they are saying it is late to do anything about it. The flooring manufacturer confirmed that they did a bad installation and pushed it back to Lowe's, yet they are denying and trying to get out of it. Absolutely a nightmare read more

This review is mostly for the restrooms. I understand mostly all public restrooms are closed down during this COVID-19 pandemic. But they are actually open at this location. The restroom has NO toilet seat covers. As a woman it was concerning. Also, the sink faucet does not run unless you are constantly pressing down on it, so you really can't get your hands "fully" clean. If they can't provide basic safety measures then the restrooms should probably be shut down. Just my thought. read more

There is a few deals/sales that go on every year, some I do take advantage of every year too. One of the best things is the return policy and warranty you can purchase with some items. I have been back to this store at least 32 times the last year and a half, for plants, screen doors, nails, tools, BBQ supplies, and other things for my honeydew list. The staff is awesome, I tried to order a special vinyl fence from another big hardware store 3 times it was shipped to me damaged, the 4th time it was the completely wrong one. So I drove down the road to Lowe's and ordered it from here and 2 days later boom it was in and in perfect shape. the friendly staff helped me load it on my truck. I would of had a good shopping experience, but an employee named Amber ruined it for both me and my daughter. This employee was talking in an obscene and crude manner about things she does sexually do her girlfriend. I understand that some women are gay however I draw the line at talking about sexually explicit manner in front of children. I told her to please stop and she continued with her nasty talk. I complained to the manager and nothing was done. Amber suggested to me that maybe if I got fucked some more, I would not be so uptight. Home Depot is about a mile away from Lowe's, I've shopped at both many times. After experiencing customer service at both places I tend to frequent Lowe's about 90% of the time. Both of them usually have what I need in stock but the people at Lowe's are much more helpful and generally more knowledgeable than Home Depot in my experience there is a guy named Gary at the construction desk who is very helpful and knowledgeable. Shaun and electrical has helped me many times as well. I have found that Home Depot will have 25 different sizes I have 5D nail while Lowes might only have five different sizes. The opposite is true for finishing pieces. Lowes will have 25 different styles of 1 inch trim while Home Depot might only have five styles. Most of what I do is finishing type stuff so having more options is a big benefit to me. Both stores are great about returns whether or not you have the receipt. read more

I have found some better selections of moldings, door knobs and metal & plastic fabricated edging at this stores then HD. They really need more check out staff and the self check out has been closed more then it's been open (at least during my visits). They have terrible customer services, and getting help over the phone forget it, it's always impossible. Their phone line service is worst. I was try to get on the phone with a person that works for custom cabinet and the call never when through, it keeps handling up. I try many times different days and nothing happened. I have to go personally to the store to and look for her. They should fix their phone lines and have a better coordination when it comes to phone services. First sunny day in awhile went down to the Lowe's to buy a couple of plastic rocking chairs for the patio. Found some on sale for 39.95 that would work good thing I'm 6ft tall or I would not have been able to get them down. They had about 8 different stacks of different types of chairs all stacked really high. Once I wrestled two chairs down I could not believe how filthy they were but since I spent 10 minutes getting them I thought I would see if they would give me a deal on them. Well I took them to the register to pay for the other stuff I got and they have one register open and when I asked about the discount the cashier said she would check with the garden manager well she attempted to but he didn't return any of the pages or calls she made and ended up telling me I should come back later. I can't believe the way the garden center looks it is a mess and very dirty supervisions lacking and staff are not very helpful just doing a walk through should have caught the issues I had. I had recently purchased two pedestal lights for my kitchen, when I got home my electrician began to install them he completed one, but realized the other one was broken. I went to Lowe's in a huge rush to hurry up and get back so we can finish installing, unfortunately they were out of stock! I was so fortunate to have the help of Scott who is I believe an assistant manager. Scott was able to allow me to take the display which was the only one left in the store. It took him at least 15 minutes to undo it and allow me to take it. If it wasn't for him I would've had to re-order and wait, and pay my electrician again. I appreciate so much what he did, we are more than weekly shoppers. This is by far the best experience I've had at Lowe's thank you Scott very much read more

We had the worst experience. If I could give them a zero I would. I ordered a wood pellet grill on 6/15/20 online and was given a pick up date of 6/22/20 (one day after Father's Day, it was to be a gift) I had opted for free assembly. On 6/23/2020 I called to check the status of the grill and was told it had arrived to the store one day after the assemblers had been there and I would have to wait until the following Saturday 6/27/20 for it to be assembled. No big deal. We did not hear from the store so on 7/1/20 we went to the store in person and were told it STILL had not been assembled. On 7/3/20 we called the store again and were told that our order had been cancelled because it had in fact been assembled and it had not been picked up in time. WE NEVER RECEIVED A PHONE CALL THAT IT HAD BEEN ASSEMBLED IN FACT WE HAD JUST BEEN THERE 2 DAYS EARLIER AND WERE TOLD IT WASN'T READY! Of course we were frustrated apparently they had sold our assembled grill but we were told that they had one grill in stock in the box in store. We decided to pick it up and assemble it ourselves. We told the gentleman on the phone we would be right down to the store and he said he would have it ready. We arrived at the store 30 minutes later and the grill was already in another customers cart who was checking out. They had no grill, no explanation and worse of all no apology. read more

This big box hardware store has plenty of h.c. & elderly electric carts unlike THE HOME DEPOT just down the street. Their KOBALT line has a "lifetime replacement guarantee" & they also offer a "30 days refund no questions asked". They have plenty of check-out registers open. (unlike Home Depot) Do not go to any of these hardware stores expecting to get (RELIABLE) answers to any of your questions. (you need to bone up on the Internet and know what you need prior to entering) All of the ASSOCIATES are basically glorified stockers. I was greeted by THREE associates who did not spend time to assist me. One young man with green shirt and black curly hair went to look in computer at Lowe's website and returned to tell me that Lowes do not carry Sun Block Awnings. He told me he checked the website. The young lady who looked at her phone told me the same thing. I checked on my phone and found several to choose from. They were very busy working hard to get rid of me. They did NOT want to service me at all and they proved it. I went to the Customer Return Cashier to complain about this and Stephanie (Cashier) laughed as she apologized offering very little help to me. So I went back to sit down to try to figure out how I could purchase these items on my own. I struggled so I went back to Customer Return register to speak to Kayla who was of no help as well. I asked how can I purchase these items because I'm being told Lowes don't carry it but you do. She told me to just make the purchase online. That's all she said. So I went to sit down to try to make the purchase. I left my Lowes card at home so I became bewildered again. I went back to Kayla for assistance asking if she could pull up my credit card number. She told me no. I understood that but what I didn't understand is why she didn't offer more assistance and ask more customer friendly questions. I mean really- I had already been to the register several times. She should have been able to see that I required more assistance. I went back to sit down to try to figure it out. I decided to forget the purchase and to pay for my items in my cart. I went back to Kayla and asked if I could make the purchases in my cart without my card. She asked me: Do you want a credit slip? I said I guess. She said Do you want a temporary credit card to make these purchases? I said I guess so. Still she refused to explain the process to me. I made my purchases and vowed to pay off my Lowes Credit card and NEVER return to that store for anything. In fact, the last time I was there I did not make a purchase because of rude customer service. That day I walked out. So here I am again trying to do the impossible which is get professional friendly customer service. I will NOT spend another penny in that store. No one should be treated this way.
