We purchased a new $1300 Bosch dishwasher from Lowes in Greenville TX, 11 days ago. A dishwasher that was supposedly in stock. We then paid for a warranty, an install, and a haul off of the old one. We were told to expect an email or a call By Wednesday. Email came and said today 8-11. That came and went. We never received a call or email to verify. EVIDENTLY their third party didn't find us important enough to let us know it was 2-5. We took off work, for no reason. When i called Lowes, of course the store manager was not there. The assistant manager proceeded to put all the blame on THEIR vendor. Told me I should call them. This has been an exercise in futility, a comedy of errors. Not like a Fortune 500 company at all. It would seem it may warrant closing our two personal and one business account. The punchline? I am actually a Lowes stockholder. Maybe it is past time to look at other options. read more

Can I give zero stars? No? Well sh**. So I spent ~$1100 on some furniture from Lowes.com. Tables were delivered damaged. "No problem - I'll just have them replaced" or so I thought. Nope, they have to be physically returned to a store & cannot be exchanged - I have to be refunded, wait for the money in my bank & then re-order. Ok, fine but they don't fit in my vehicle. So Lowe's picks them up & takes them to the Greenville store. That's when it gets really good. I called 4 different times. Sat on hold close to 2 hours & had 4 different associates tell me I needed to wait a few more days for my refund to be processed. So I waited TEN DAYS with no refund. Finally I call & demand to speak to a manager. I sit on hold another 30 minutes until a manager comes on the phone & tells me that my refund was never processed. Yep you read that right - NEVER PROCESSED. I have been sitting here 10 days waiting on a refund that was never coming. So now, this manager actually issues my refund. Except there's a complication - I used a $55 gift card for partial payment. And for some reason, even though I ordered online, the gift card can only be refunded to a physical gift card - not an e-gift card. A physical gift card that I have to drive 1 hour round trip to pick up from the store that I never went to for this purchase. OR, the manager told me she can mail it to me, like physically issue the gift card, place it in an envelope with a stamp & mail it to me like it's freakin 1995. But if she mails it, & it gets lost or stolen, all the risk is on me. I am still blown away that this has happened. This is absolutely insane & I will never use this store again. Truly awful place. My husband and I needed to buy vinyl planks asap. Brian in the flooring department was very knowledgeable about the different brands and showed us a new product by Pergo. It was what were looking for. The color we wanted was not on display yet so Brian retrieved it from the upper racks. We bought what we needed for our project and was pleased with the price. Worst customer service I've ever experienced at Lowe's. The cashier at self checkout actually called a customer a "stupid bitch" out loud. The customer was an elderly lady who was obviously confused. But instead of helping her, the cashier cursed at her and treated her very unprofessionally. I had to help the lady and guide her in the right direction and I am not an employee. I bought a Kobalt 1/4 impact driver May of 2022, it has stopped working, light flashes and won't turn. LOWES WEBSITE SAYS NO QUESTIONS ASKED RETURN POLICY FOR THIS ITEM. The Greenville Texas store refuses to honor this policy because that specific tool is discontinued. Now I'm out an impact driver. Only reason I bought a Kobalt in the first place is for the warranty. Manager Casey and employees were completely unwilling to help, and got an attitude with me. Complete trash customer service. The short haired girl with glasses and nose rings at customer service was completely rude and had quite the attitude. Told me I was on my own to try to get a new tool from Kobalt myself despite the LIFETIME NO QUESTIONS ASKED NO RECEIPT WARRANTY. Unacceptable. read more

Do not buy a Generac Generator at Lowe's. I purchased one back in October and it has yet to be installed. It's now January and we are facing potential severe winter weather that includes to a higher than normal risk of power outages. They use Generator Supercenter in Rockwall (based in Houston) and they could care less when they get to my install. Both of them need to get out of the business of selling Generators because their service and customer care SUCKS !!!! Buyer Beware!! read more

I ordered 2 ceiling fans. I also paid an extra $200 for installation. They contracted a company called Handy to do the install. When the installer arrived he said it would be another $130 because it was an install and not a replace. I NEVER said it was a replace. If you ever order installation from Lowes, make sure it is not Handy that does the install. They are crooks. read more

I will NEVER be purchasing another major appliance from LOWE'S EVER AGAIN. I went in and purchased a new Dryer, Range and  Over The Range (OTR) Microwave/Exhaust Fan,  plus installation and delivery. So I thought all was good. WRONG!!!! So, what I wasn't told at the store is that the normal delivery and installation does not include the Over The Range Microwave. No, see, that's an additional $129.00 that you have to pay to have another group to come out and install. But wait, there's more. If you did not previously have an OTR microwave, you have to pay $35.00 just to get the installers out to your house to do a "DESIGN"; whatever the hell, that is. Then they will give you a quote on how much the installation is going to cost you , and no it will not be the $129.00 previously quoted to me by JP, Assistant Manager, Lowe's #3314, Greenville, TX. But you can expect it to be much more, according to David in Appliances at said store.Oh, and that new range you bought? Yeah, that comes with a very important safety feature called an Anti-Tipping Bracket. This is supposed to be installed to prevent the range from tipping over, causing great bodily damage or even death. But guess what? it is not covered in the installation and delivery. Yeah, you're going to need another installation team to come out for that at $129.00. They also do not tell you that at the store level, cook at your own risk. Oh, but there's more. The Delivery Man that they sent out, first he past my drive way, then after he turned around he couldn't keep the truck under control, almost taken out my front fence and ran through my culvert. Then wasted about 45 minutes waiting on his "helper" to arrive. Did he use that time to haul out the old appliance I paid to have removed? NO. Did he install any of the power cords on the new appliances? NO. Did he do anything that would speed up in the installation of the appliances he was installing? NO, NO, NO!!! He just waited around milking the clock, I guess. There is NOTHING about this experience that was what I would expect off Lowe's, and believe me, I am more than Pissed Off!!! This is one VERY EXPENSIVE lesson I am learning, and I will never make the mistake of buying from Lowe's again. read more

This is my go to Lowe's. It's hardly ever crowded, and I almost always get competent help. I just bought a set of appliances and it was so easy. This, after shopping/fighting through with Home Depot (slow). Best Buy (too long to deliver and "order it on the website "), and Costco (limited selection). I picked out 4 appliances and all were in stock, delivery included, as soon as tomorrow. No problem using a picture of a coupon to get my discount. Tim, who helped me with appliances, also helped me order carpet. He knew his stuff and I was out in no time. 5 Stars for Tim and his store. read more

Purchased a Generac Standby generator (Greenville, Tx) in September '23 to be installed. I have an underground gas meter which they determined could not be used. So I contacted the gas company about moving to a standing meter at the house. I was then told the service line at our address would not support the generator, but new lines were planned soon. After 3 months of getting calls to install the generator and still no gas line, I started trying to cancel the purchase. Figured not a big deal since nothing had been delivered nor any work done. Boy was I wrong. In attempts to speak with the store manager she was never available and would never return calls. Trying the territory sales manager was the same result, as were attempts to speak with the regional director. As to this date I have only spoken with installation support who unfortunately have no power to do anything. I have even offered to pay a cancellation fee, as I don't wish to have to deal with such disregard for the customer that seems to be prevalent throughout the company. I paid a little bit more to have a company I believed would stand behind the sale. Once again, I was wrong. If you plan a major purchase, go elsewhere. If you plan to buy a single screw, go elsewhere. I certainly will. read more

Don't let them or their people install! Bought a washer and dryer a few months back. Their delivery guys couldn't install the right-angle vent kit from the manufacturer; I'll have to hire my appliance repair guy to do that, their delivery men aren't qualified (!?!) Fast forward to Tuesday. Bought a new dishwasher from them ($900). Wanted them to install it. Had to call, sign contract, all this rigmarole. Some plumber they contracted with would call me on Thursday to schedule. Wait. It's before noon on Tuesday. Why are they waiting til THURSDAY to call me? Thursday came, and Lakewater Plumbing didn't call. I called them Friday morning. While the phone was ringing, they texted me and asked me to text them instead. I guess if I was using a landline I'd have been SOL. They said they would get with me to arrange delivery "when they get to the office later". It's after 9am. I asked them to text me at 1130, I had an appointment. At 11:00 they texted me and said they would be out to install it between 8 and 5 on Tuesday. That's a WEEK after I bought it. So I called Vanessa at Lowe's back to make other plans - except whoops, Vanessa is out Friday and doesn't work weekends. Jonathan was less than helpful, finally handed us off to a gentleman that was very helpful, got the install cancelled, and arranged for delivery today - I will be back later to update this review if they don't show up. I've called my plumber, and they will be out Monday to install. If Lowe's had TOLD me their installer, Lakewater Plumbing, is undependable and utterly worthless, I could have had it delivered Wednesday and installed Thursday, and then I wouldn't be standing in the kitchen washing dishes after heart surgery. If you absolutely MUST have the best price for an appliance, get it from Best Buy in Rockwall and have your appliance guy or plumber install it. If you want the absolute minimum headache, buy it from Armstrong or Curtiss downtown in Greenville. If you insist, buy it from Lowe's, and arrange for your appliance guy to pick it up and install it, or get Lowe's to deliver and your guy to install. And if you need a plumber or installer, call Ragsdale, Bruner, Anytime, Moncrief, or Good As New Appliance Repair; if you hate talking on the phone to polite people, text Lakewater Plumbing. read more

I have rental properties and title them in an LLC. I currently have one right now in Greenville where I am working on numerous projects. For tax reasons these repairs need to be paid for by my LLC and I have a checking account set up for that purpose. Lowe's will not accept my company check and will give me no explanation for it. I have never written a bad check from this account or any other account and there is always plenty of money in it to cover any checks I write. I asked a floor manager to help me find out what the problem is and he basically said I was out of luck. I asked him if the general store manager could help with this and he said she would not take her time to help me and I was waiting my time trying. I called the company that Lowes contracts with who declined the check and could not get a resolve either. No one there can give me an explanation on this or even try and help resolve this matter. I purchased a washer from Lowes. It was a stackable to replace the one that was not repairable. I was FULLY aware Lowes would not install it due to liability issues. I made arrangements to have a third party to install. Lowes showed up yesterday with my new washer. It was at that time they told me they could NOT even unhook the malfunction old washer; again liability issues and company policy. I told them to take it back and I wanted a refund. Unfortunately I purchased it from a gift card from my warranty company. They told me they would refund it with another gift card. So am I supposed to get this gift card refund so I can buy another washer and repeat the mistake??? I am in process of trying to resolve it. I am the one bending over backwards for them. My refrigerator died after 7pm. I had stuffed it full of ice in order to wait and went to lowes and the other home improvement store in town. The other home improvement store said they couldn't sell floor models, and it would take a couple days before they could get one in... I told the people at Lowe's my refrigerator was dead, and they said yes, they don't normally sell floor models but would in that case. They even discounted it off the regular pricing. "Since it is a floor model" Their delivery people called before they came out, but were there before I could finish unloading all the ice and baskets of food. They knew i was replacing a machine that had been working just the day before, so they were very understanding and helpful. The delivery people removed the old refrigerator, helped set up the new one, and made certain it was working and ready to go so I could add food right away. They even carefully made certain it fit in the small space where my old one was. read more

Visit here a lot to get supplies for our woodworking and outdoor landscaping. It's clean and easy to find things. Could use more staff though. When we do need help, it's sometimes hard to track down an employee. Other than that I like this store much better than Home Depot. read more

I have shopped at Lowe's for years. I've NEVER had a problem returning things, even without the receipt and even months later. Today I tried to return a faucet which was bought in error. It was just the wrong model. It was never out of the box. It still had the security straps intact on the outside. It is a model carried exclusively by Lowe's. The store refused to give me a store credit, citing some odd arcane corporate policy which made no sense. Even the people at the counter could not give me a clear explanation as to why this particular item was not being accepted for return, not even the store manager. I checked. There was no signage in the plumbing department saying that all sales were final and not returnable. I was going to buy other items there. I cannot patronize a store with obscure poorly defined policies. They just pointed me to the returns policy on the placard on the wall, which basically says no returns without a receipt. I left there and went to the other major brand home improvement store and had excellent service from two of the finest young men working in retail. I will never darken the door of Lowe's ever again..even if I have to pay more and wait longer. Lowe's showed me that they clearly do not take customer service seriously. read more

I love the lowes in Greenville! We went the other day with my blind dad to get wood for a project. Because he's 90% blind he can't see well enough to saw the boards and wanted to make one last gift for his granddaughters. Like most places you can pay for them to cut it for you, but theirs is only 25¢ per cut and you get more free before you have to start paying. The guy who helped us, Fransisco (I think) helped us patiently and kindly cut over 25 boards in 1 or more cuts per board. He spent a good 15 or more minutes helping us. It was such a blessing to know none of us would be losing a finger from loss of sight or inexperience. I only picked 4 stars because it is on occasion very difficult to find someone to help you, but once you find them you will be glad you did!! They offer a great veterans discount, and all employees I have met seem very knowledgeable, or able to send you to the right person, and in one case even referred me to the right store, when they didn't have the appliance I wanted. read more
