I purchased a LG washing machine from Lowes with installation, parts and service. My existing LG washing machine was about 12 years old and the motor and motor control failed. The replacement machine arrived safely and on time. The installation crew was polite and conscientious. They quickly removed the old machine as I had purchased recycling service. The BIG problem occurred when installers refused to install the new machine on the LG drawer pedestal( that was under the failed machine). They claimed it was against company policy. That means that the nearly 200 lb washing machine would have to sit on the floor. This placement made it nearly impossible for us to use with our back problems. Also there was no way we could even pick the heavy machine up and place it on the pedestal ourselves. My wife was prepared to have them box it up and return it to Lowes. After a bit of a cool-down, we decided that though Lowes installation policy was incompetent, we would accept the delivery and hire someone private to help us mount the washer on its pedestal. WARNING: If you must use Lowes installation services, consider grilling the installation department on all aspects of a what is performed with installation service prior to purchase or look at other vendors carrying the same product. read more

I shop here often - too often. I always need plywood cut down to fit in my car, and 50% of the time, the panel saw is not working. I have driven there to many times just to find out i cannot get what I need. Lately, I call ahead to see if the saw is working, but the last two times, (after the recording asks if I want to know about the lumber inventory in Charlotte) the phone just rings and rings. This time, after 15 minutes, I just drove out there. The saw was of course broken. It was hard to find anyone to even ask. I need to find a better store. read more

If I could give a lower number, I certainly would. I placed an order for 17 bags of mulch on Sept. 5, 2024, for next day delivery. I still have not received my order. I have called and have received the run around. They told me, the driver picked up the order, but obviously did not deliver it. They stated that they would call said driver and have my mulch returned to the store and then someone else would deliver it. Two weeks later, and still no mulch; and no follow up phone calls. We recently purchased ten very large LEVOLOR cellular shades from this store. We couldn't have asked for a better sales and service experience. We went into the housewares dept and explained what we were looking for. Two days later "Nick" (installer) came out and measured all the windows. The following day we went in to place our order. Mark (who was new to that dept.) was very helpful. In the end he called for Tee (mgr) to review the order before he placed it into the computer. Two weeks later Nick called to make arrangements to deliver and install the shades. He came when he said he would, and did a great job installing them. I visit this Lowes at least once a week to get what I need for house projects. Staff are friendly and helpful. The staff who man the paint desk are often taking care of things elsewhere in the paint section when the desk is quiet, so you may have to look for them and flag them down if you need some paint. Bought a dishwasher that was supposed to be delivered on a specific day and time, 3 days before scheduled delivery I get a phone call saying it will be delivered 1 day earlier than requested. Called the delivery number and was assured it would be delivered on the correct day and time. Today I get a call saying that it would be delivered between 4 and 8 pm rather than the 8am -12 noon time requested. Since the installer was coming at 1pm I called to get it straightened out and was told that the delivery schedule was made the evening before delivery and it was too late to have them change to original delivery time. Since this was 4 pm how was it too late? I have heard horror stories about their delivery service but have now experienced their complete lack of customer service or care. read more

I've overall had multiple bad experiences here. Once I tried to use my in store credit at the self checkout but the old lady couldn't figure it out so she directed me to customer service, where I stood in like for nearly 20 minutes just for there to be nothing wrong with my card. On another occasion it seemed like the supervisor was just being overall rude to one of her coworkers when she was trying to help me with return something because it was broken so I couldn't use it. It was really annoying because of course the girl helping me was in a mood now because her supervisor is a b*tch. My visit(s) to Lowe's in Clayton were both good and bad, but certainly connected. I first went yesterday to check pricing and get some info on a riding mower for my new home. I was pleasantly surprised to have one of the employees, Dustin, ask me if I needed any help, which I gladly accepted. He spent time answering my questions about the riding mower, as well as giving me guidance to apply for the Lowe's credit card at customer service in order to save a few bucks or finance my purchase over time. When my credit application was completed and I was approved, the young lady at customer service told me that I would "save 20% on my first purchase using the credit card". Needless to say, having just moved in, I hurried home and put together a shopping list of items that I will be needing in time (on top of the riding mower), and returned this morning to make my purchase. Once again, Dustin was super helpful and actually entered my order and set it up for delivery in a few days. Now the bad part... upon going to the cashier to pay for my purchase with the credit card, I was told the 20% discount only applied to "eligible items" and the discount would max out at $100. Had I known this in advance, I certainly would have applied the discount ONLY to the riding mower, and waited to purchase the other items at another time. Perhaps the young lady at customer service wasn't aware of the 'details' of the first-time credit card user discount, but I was certainly disappointed to find that the $300+ discount I was expecting was only $100. If I could split the review into 2 parts, I'd give 5 stars to Dustin and his helpful attitude, and 1 star to being misled on the discount of my purchase. read more

This is a follow up to my last review concerning Lowesnot letting us know that our washer and dryer delivery was delayed. When they finally showed up with the washer and dryer they were very unprofessional. The stack kit that was sent was the wrong one so they rigged it. See the attached pick....they installed the dryer cord without a connector...common sense tells me sharp metal edge, high voltage cord and vibration equal a potential fire! All of the hours were twisted and crossed up, I have seen 5 yr. Olds that can do a better job. They sprayed windex on the floor so the unit would slide in place easier......easier for them but when I went to pull it out to fix all of their shotty work the unit was stuck to the floor and I had a heck of a time getting it loose. Bottom line I will not make major purchases like this at this Lowe's ever again unless I plan on picking up and installing so it will be on time and correct. read more

We bought filters from Lowes on 9/29/21 and submitted paperwork (their form and attached receipt). Called on 11/29/21 and representative said they would resubmit because didn't understand why it was not processed. Called on 12/29/21 and representative said resubmit. Rep would not let me speak to supervisor and I was on hold for 45 minutes to get the worst customer service ever. Lowes sells a protection plan which is worthless. read more

Awful customer service. I am a small business owner who has been in business for about 2 years. This Lowe's is absolutely awful. I worked with the pro desk to put together an order in the amount of $8,000. They told me they would have all of the in stock items ready for pick up the next day, and that I would be contacted the special order items when they arrived. I went the next day to pick up the items I needed for the job and none of them had been pulled. I had to go and get all of the items off the shelves that I needed for the day myself and asked that by Thursday if they could please pull the rest of the in stock items so that I did not have to take an hour or two to go and get all of my own items. I then came back on Thursday and once again nothing was ready for pick up so I had to get it all myself again. They also then informed me that my special order projects weren't going to be available on the dates they promised. I tried speaking to the manager of the pro desk department and she just kept passing the blame to another department and saying it is a not her fault. It is just pathetic when someone in a managerial position points the blame elsewhere instead of just trying to make her department better and getting the job done and communication correct to make sure her department and the other departments work smoothly together to complete the task at hand. Very disappointed. And hope to never have to shop here again. read more

Lowes: The toy store for men. As a kid I never thought I would experience as much joy as I do just from being in this store. I can spend hours in here looking at or buying things I have absolutely no need for, and my girlfriend no longer will accompany me in here for that exact reason (so in other words she knows how I feel at the mall...) In all seriousness Lowes is great in general, they are a great company and are extremely military friendly which as a veteran is a big deal for me, they not only give a 10% discount which you can attach to your my lowes card to be automatically applied to every purchase, but they also occasionally have free offers for their military members. I love Lowes and from my personal experience at my last job as an industrial electrician I also prefer their store brand Kobalt tools to home depots Husky tools(except ratchet wrenches) and even most big brands simply because they carry the same warranty and its so much easier and closer to go to Lowes to exchange a broken tool than Sears or mailing in tools that don't have brick and mortar stores. One of the things I love most about Lowes is that on their website when you are looking for a particular item they have the aisle and section listed so that you can find it very easily. This location in particular is also great and the staff is very friendly and I have never had any issues with the knowledge that employees of their respective departments have. The customer service is great as well. read more

On 7-3-2018 I called Lowe's to confirm a delivery date. Much to my surprise, the wrong date was entered. The supervisor in charge of delivery was very helpful. Thankfully He was able to deliver my purchase the very next day. Which happened to be A Holiday. Promptly at 7:30 A.M. on July Fourth a Very Polite Truck Driver asked me where I wanted my purchase placed. He very carefully went around all of the shrubs making sure not to break limbs or disturb the chickens and turkeys who were out free ranging. We just recently bought a stove and frig from this store and Alton the manager was the person who sold us the frig. This is a huge and fairly new Lowes. So it scores high on selection of products. That said, it also seems really hard to get service in this store or to find someone to help you when you need it. People have been nice when we've gotten hold of them. We had to wait a long time in the customer service line today just to ask about arranging for installation of some ceiling fans that we were about to buy. They then sent us back to the electronics desk, where we had to wait some more for someone to show up to help us. Frustrating. The customer service at this location is awful, and it's not the same people. There has been many incidences here, and the latest was on Sunday Jun 30. I waited over 30 mins. for help. One employee tried to call/page for help since she was busy with another customer's order. I saw a gentleman walk by, and asked for him for help, and he told me that wasn't his department and walked off. I waited another 20 mins since the one employee was still paging over the intercom for help, and she was still assisting her customer. I saw the same man walk by again and asked if he could get someone else to help out and he told me no. Since no one was going to help I got the item down myself and checked out. During checkout the barcode wouldn't scan correctly and that employee from earlier was working the front wouldn't acknowledge me when I asked for his help. I'm not sure what his one and only job is at that location however he needs to be spoken to about his people skills. read more

My fiancé and I bought a washer and dryer for our new home (whirlpool WTW5000DW) Long story short, BOTH the washer and dryer broke 1 week after they were delivered to our home. So moral of the story, don't buy that washer dryer - JK, we went into Lowe's where we had purchased the set and spoke with the store manager Chevy. She was absolutely amazing. We were stressed out because we had purchased the washer/dryer set when 4th of July sales were in the store and now those sales were gone (making the washers and dryers each like $300 more a piece). We obviously wanted to buy a completely different set/brand/etc. Chevy not only gave us the sale prices from the week before but was very kind and helpful throughout the entire process. We both went into the store feeling a little bit anxious just thinking about having to go through the process of returning and purchasing a new set. By the time we were walking out the door all of those feelings were gone and we had a new washer and dryer scheduled to be delivered to our house. We didn't have to pay out of pocket for the new washer or dryer, Chevy helped us by setting up the process as an exchange so that the cost was taken directly from that of the broken set. We couldn't have been more happy with our experience. What we thought was going to be an all day stressful and day-wrecking event turned out to be 20 minutes of polite conversation. We will definitely continue doing business with this Lowe's. Thanks again Chevy - you were seriously the biggest relief and we are so thankful for your help. read more

I have been shopping here for several years, whether it be for paint, tools, plants or landscape materials. All staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Last week I bought a power drill and skill saw. Being somewhat tool illiterate, I asked an associate for help. I gave him my price point and what I needed the tool to do and he gave me several options. I also signed up for the rewards card...not sure if there are actual rewards but it tracks your purchases so if you buy paint you can go back and review what the brand was and what the exact color was. I got a window replacement in April of 2016 from Lowe's and their approved private contractor seemed great. All of my windows were installed and the job finished. Afterwards I noticed that some ants were in my kitchen and so I had the exterminator come and spray for them. During the exterminator's visit I noticed that the very top of the newly installed windows had not been caulked in the least! All around the windows looked fine but the part that I couldn't see was left terribly roughed in! It is outrageous that Lowe's would accept and condone this type of behavior from their contractors. I contacted both the contractor and Lowe's and they are passing the buck. I would have thought that getting a contractor through Lowe's should be a open/close procedure saving me from the headache of it all. THIS IS NOT THE CASE AT ALL! I purchased 85 bags of red mulch from Lowe's when they had the sale buy 5 bags for $10.00. I didn't lay the mulch down for several weeks. I starting laying the mulch down this past Saturday, May 1st. The first 20 bags were a dark maroon color and not the bright red that I was accustomed to seeing with this product. The rest of the 65 bags were the bright red color as advertised. The bags indicate the color is guaranteed for 12 months. I took pictures of the dark maroon colored mulch and the bright red mulch. I went to Lowe's and showed them the pictures of the mulch and the receipt. They refunded me my money without any issue. I wanted to purchase another 20 bags in order to complete my lawn project. The cashier indicated the price of the mulch was $3.68 per bag. I informed her I had received a credit for 20 bags and showed her the pictures of the mulch. I requested the price of the mulch to be changed to the 5 for $10.00 price when I originally purchased the mulch. She made a phone call and said the price is still going to be $3.68 per bag. I said "no thanks" and left the store. Lowe's did the right thing by refunding me my money but I disagree with their decision not to let me purchase additional mulch at the 5 for $10.00 price. I feel the original purchase of the mulch should apply to the mulch I was trying to purchase again due to receiving defective mulch. Lowe's would have received a sale and I would have received the mulch I needed. Win win for both parties however they did not see it that way so that is why I rated them only 2 stars. read more

I figured I should start checking in at this place since it is like a home away from home lately! We're remodeling our Kitchen by ourselves, so I have a lot of time and money invested in this place. I'm always amazed at how helpful the employees are. Running a gas line to the stove? Here's what you need! Installing electrical? They have everything. You want your new Appliances delivered free and take away the old stuff? Thats what they do! They have every little nut, bolt, cable, wire, tube, fitting, etc. most of which I never even knew existed (thank goodness Chris does!). And the employees are VERY helpful, knowledgable, and professional. There have been times when we can't find someone to answer a question or to pull a heavy item, but it isn't for long, and there are other times the employees are searching the aisles for customers to help. As far as prices go, I do a lot of comparison shopping and I've found that they have the best prices. We're very happy with this store, and the one in Garner too. read more

My wife and I had intended to purchase kitchen counter tops from this store. We paid the 80.06 measurement fee. When the measurements came in, we were contacted by the store and set-up and appointment to go over the details with the staff. Unfortunately because of work schedules, my wife was not able to attend. I attended the meeting and the price exceeded our intended budget by over 1000.00, which we were not expecting. So I asked if I could get a copy of the proposal and estimates to discuss with my wife and look at what could be changed and stay within our budget. Unfortunately, the Lowes employee in the kitchen counter section and Department Manager both would not allow me to have a copy of the measurements and proposal. They said it was Proprietary Information and the Corporate Policy would not allow me to have a copy of the measurements and proposal. My intent was to only use this information to discuss it with my wife, we had all intentions of still purchasing counter tops, we had already purchased a 400.00 sink and a 200.00 faucet. We were committed to this project but needed to re-evaluate what we were going to purchase. The two employees we worked with were very nice however this is a very poor policy. Even though Lowes Detailed Expectation Sheet states in the first Sentence, " Thank-you for deciding to purchase a detail measurement from Lowes". You would think that if you purchase something that you own it. I fail to see how measurements of counters in someone's house becomes the property of Lowes and Proprietary information. Is Lowe's hiding something in their measurements? It would be much easier if their was a liability concern, to have the customer sign a hold harmless waiver that limits Lowes or their contractors from liability if the measurements are used by another competitor. read more

My experience with trying to get a fence has been very frustrating. I paid for the fence over a month ago and have been given different installation dates but still have not received our fence. The supplies were delivered but the contractor has not installed the fence yet. I have called many times and am very frustrated. I will not use them again for any contracted job. read more

I bought some furniture from Walmart a few months ago on the west coast. When I moved to North Carolina some of the dowel pins had broken apart. Walmart said they don't sell them but I could just go to Lowe's no problem. I went to 3 different stores before I gave up. Either had too big dowel pins or none at all. The last store in Garner had one type of Dowel that fit the size of what I needed but it was still too thick. I asked several employees is there a way they could try to shave down the size or if I bought a dowel rod would they cut it down to size I needed to. they said no I would have to do that myself. It's a hardware store but yet they can't help me with hardware unless I was buying sheets of lumber. What kind of service is that? so you're telling me I have to buy a whole saw just to cut down this one piece of dowel that literally cost less than a dollar? Lowe's customer service is ridiculous. They weren't trying to help me. One guy just sent me to aisle 49 and said "that's it". Unbelievable. read more
