Once again we went with Lowe's and while we like the refrigerator we got, and the actual purchase and sales process. The customer service stops once you pay for your merchandise. They have, and take zero responsibility for there delivery and subcontractor work. I this case it wasn't even the delivery team. The coordination between Lowe's and when where (what store) our fridge would be delivered was a circus at best. We were told April 24 when that didn't happened, April 29 with a confirmed text about delivery on 29th. Whe. That didn't happen call the Lowe's story again and no clue about who we should call about delivery. How about you call and let me know since I already have an incorrect confirmation email Finally my husband drove to the Lewisville store and found our fridge thst had been delivered. It finally arrived on May 1 almost 30 days after purchased and 3 incorrect delivery adventures. Really. This is the end of major purchases from Lowe's and if my husband insists, I hope he and his new wife enjoy their merchandise. Had enough !!! read more

A stray cat apparently lives here. Tired to save the cat from running in the street and to take him to the shelter. The staff heavily protested us from doing so. Especially one guy who was extremely odd to me and blatantly ignored my attempts to be kind during a previous transaction. They're treating a living being like entertainment. Shows you what kind of people work here. What I will say is they do at least feed him...but the cat deserves a proper home. read more

I posted a review a few months ago, just like this and was thanked on a reply so they could address the situation. I think they forgot to address it. I needed a replacement for my exterior lighting fixture. Searching online, the manufacturers site indicated this location was a place I could purchase replacement parts including glass panes.. I called and after inquiring, the customer service rep immediately said she didn't know and that's something I needed to search about online. I let her know I did and she put me through to lighting twice... no answer. Third time another rep answered and said she would see if she could find someone. The last rep I spoke to was nice and tried to transfer me to an electrical supervisor but they picked up and hung up. I tried calling back in but got hung up one. I tried yet a final time and there was no answer. I've been in customer service too and this was still poor service. read more

If you've read my previous reviews, you know I am big on customer service. I've stopped at three Lowes today in search a of a particular fridge that I found at the Little Elm Lowes. Just wanted to see if it was somewhere else with no damage on it. I walked into the flower mound Lowes and asked the person at the counter if he could just tell me if the item was in stock. He told me I had two people ahead of him. I absolutely understand waiting in a line, but I knew this would be a 10 second task, and I simply wanted to know if it was worth my wait. I feel like a reasonable response would have been to ask for some backup customer service in this department. I went to the front of the store and inquired there to which I was told it was not in stock. Glad I did that instead of waiting my turn! The people up front were super kind! read more

Ordered an insulated garage door last September. They installed a non-insulated door, wrong door. Managers say they will help but do not. Installation team say they will help but never call back. Just here to purchase carbon monoxide dectors. They're clearly marked on sale and not ringing up on-sale. Two registers, including customer service and asking for a manager won't walk back to check the signage and told me to take photos which I did of entire shelve and showed it to them. While still at the register at customer service I told customer service they are ringing up $20 more than all the signage shows and I just need them and since no one can seem to help just give them to me at $40 each. This woman in customer service while I am standing at the register to purchase these completely reaches around me and helps another customer rather than finishing with me. Never experienced such rude customer service. Live 5 minutes from this Lowes and in here weekly. Will drive to home depot from now on. I purchased a new Whirlpool refrigerator in October of 2021 and the compressor broke in April. I was not aware that Lowe's extended service plan does not provide service support within the first year and I had to go through Whirlpool. It's been three months since I called for service support and I still don't have a repaired/replaced refrigerator. Trying to get someone to help from Lowe's and Whirlpool has been extremely difficult. All I get is that I'm sorry for the inconvenience. They keep wanting to pass me off to someone else or have no ability to provide additional support via their management. Having to go through the summer here in Texas without a working refrigerator is not good. You need to be aware of both Lowe's and Whirlpool's policy and lack of support regarding their products. I understand that Covid is impacting some of these services, but I feel that I've been more than patient waiting over three months to get something done. I recommend that you read the fine print and possibly look at other options. Next time, I'll take my service to another place that will provide me better service. read more

This is my third review of Lowes, all negative. Went into store to buy a nail gun that was on sale, they did not have any at the store. So I went onto the World Wide Web and ordered it, come to find out they canceled my order because my local store did not have any (which I already knew). To my shock I went on line the next day and they had stock of the item and the price was $50 bucks more expensive. Called customer service and went round and round and nothing. This Lowe's is a fine option for this area. The customer service can vary from great to non-exisistent. Based on my experience with Lowe's, this is common. This store could improve on getting loose carts inside the store so they don't blow around the parking lot. Of course this is usually due to a cart or two being left behind by lazy customers who can't seem to walk their cart to a cart bay. Overall, the store seems to be clean and they keep lines moving. I actually prefer the Home Depot in Flower Mound better, but this Lowe's is closer so I'll be making this my go to home improvement spot. Haven't had a ton of interaction with the staff, but I have had some positive experiences with the painting staff. Like any Lowe's, at times it seems understaffed and can get quite busy. read more

I had carpet installation done by Lowes. The sales person was very nice and professional to work with! Just have to be careful with items that they try to push on you automatically because the products are usually WAY overpriced and unnecessary, like the carpet padding! The installation wasn't perfect , ok since the installation was warranted for a year, BUT, you are treated like second class citizens when it comes to warranty fixes. I was told twice by Service Pros they would be there at a certain time but no shows, they called after time range but since I work couldn't go back to meet Therefore, I will never use Lowes again for flooring installation! read more

What started as a simple project to replace our bathroom cabinets (for our master bathroom and our guest bathroom) ended up being a nightmare. This project started May 6, 2019 did not get completed until after October 5, 2019. Even by the October 5th date there was a slight space between one cabinet and the floor that had to be caulked or the tile underneath would have to be added or the cabinet extended. Instead of Lowe's employees taking ownership and managing the contractors (the carpenters and the plumbers), I had to manage everything. The contractors hardly arrived on time when they promised to arrive, and when they did arrive work was either partially done or not up to completion and I'd have to complain to Lowe's for them to call the contactors out to my home again. The only reason that I'm writing this report almost a year later is because I'm having problems with a faucet leak from one of the sinks that were installed by one of their plumber contractors. It's just a reminder to me of the ordeal I went through to get the work done. Lowe's makes you pay for installation services upfront, but once your check clears, they don't care about customer service or going the extra mile to ensure quality work for your home project. They hug ya' before they mug ya'. I'm still paying the price for doing business with them. I gave a good review to Diamond Prelude Karsen cabinetry which was the company that provided the cabinets, however, they distanced themselves from the Lowe's installation and contractors. The Good ------------ 1) Quality materials used in the home project The Bad --------- 1) The worst customer service (even the manager was non-responsive when called upon to intervene) 2) Unprofessional contractors - I had to make multiple calls and make multiple schedule modifications to get the installation completed 3) Hidden costs - the plumber charged extra even though it should have been included in Lowe's overall cost estimate 4) Promised made there were never kept - Lowe's said one thing and did another consistently throughout the entire project 5) Sub-par installation - Contractors had to come out to my home multiple times to fix problems that could have been fixed if the job was done right the first time. I have a leaky faucet now hence; this write-up. read more

After our recent issues with Lowe's, we will likely not be using them again. We made a fairly simple flooring (carpet/wood) order through them over three weeks ago and still have no new flooring. The installers have no-showed twice for two scheduled install times and the excuses provided were ridiculous. It seems that once you pay for the product at the Lowe's, it's no longer their problem since they contract out to an install company based out of another state (Oklahoma). Don't buy the extended warranty here. We bought a refrigerator and when we needed service, the local company Lowes contracted with was worthless. We couldn't get them to answer the phone, return a voicemail, and the tech was even a no call/no show. This particular Lowe's customer service sucks. We ordered some bar-stools off of lowes.com to be delivered to this store for a 1/3/2011 delivery. The following things happened: 1. The delivery date came and the product never arrived. We called Lowe's and they said "Sorry, this happens all the time. We'll call you when they arrive. Thanks." 2. Never heard from Lowe's, and the product was sitting in the back of the store since 1/7. 3. Finally called Lowe's and they lied by telling us they just received the product on 1/12. However, the shipping manifesto clearly says it arrived on 1/7. 4. Took the bar-stools home and they were the wrong ones. Spoke to the store manager and he said "Why are you upset, I'll give you your money back." It's not about the bar-stools, it's about taking that extra step in upping your customer service in an environment where the next retailer would be glad to have your business. Guess what, it's Home Depot that wins my business from now on. read more

I am a frequent shopper at Lowes because I live only a stone's throw away. Last year, alone, I spent over $3000 buying appliances (washer and dryer, Samsung), every flower, every pesticide, every tool, landscaping product, even my pool supplies, and there is a Leslie's Pool Company even closer. And this year, I am on track to spend even more. This morning was no different; I went in to buy twine to tie Tree limbs that will need bundling. They are not even limbs; they are the off-shoots. I asked for assistance as to where to find the twine (to purchase) and was being directed to an isle by a woman (didn't get her name); however, the guy behind the counter indicated that there was twine near the exits, that it was free to take what I needed, that's what it's for. The woman and I proceeded to find it and discovered it was in the entranceway outside of the exit / entrance doors. I didn't think nothing of it and was just going to grab a couple of yards. She stood there staring at me and asking: "Well, how much do you need". I immediately felt as if she was sizing me up,, as if I was going to take the whole spool." I told her I was going to grab some to wrap the tree limbs, and she flipped her hands around.... That's when I went for further assistance bejcause I felt indignant. I subsequently spoke to the Store's manager, Corey, who treated me no differently, indicating that that twine was for people who needed to tie things down that just got purchased. He stared at my hands to see how much I had gotten, ( all of two yards), and behaved very defensively. If they didn't want me to get some of their twine, which is free to "Certain types of customers", I am sure, then why did they offer it. It was my sole intention to buy the twine----didn't even know anyting about the free twine. Each year, I spend tons of money in that store. Their customer service is HORRIBLE. They don't ever have enough help on the floor. You have to go on the hunt looking for someone, anyone. Many have no knowledge of their products. Many have terrible attitudes. And then they have the nerves to say please fill in this survey and give us all "7s" because if you don't give us the highest mark even on one question, you might as well not do the review. So I never do. This is not the first time I have been treated with indifference in that store. It happened in Appliances too, Ignoring me. Treating me as if I don't have any money, and acting as if they were wasting their time helping me. But in spite of the poor service, I purchased the Samsung Washer and Dryer and their waste-of-money extended warranty. I am now headed to purchase an Amazon Prime membership, and will start shopping there. It was always my belief to put the money in the community where you live but my community is not grateful. read more

This is really about their contracted services as the store itself is pretty much what you would expect from a big box store. I ordered a simple granite desktop from them back in December. Their sub (Irving CounterTop) was prompt to come out the next day to measure the space and go over any special cuts. I showed him where I needed two holes with one being a special hidden outlet. I also gave him the template for an under counter keyboard shelf and he said no problem. All basic things for a granite guy. About 2 weeks later I get a call from a different company saying they were coming out to measure for the countertop. Told him someone was already out to do it and I that I don't understand what additional he needs. He said he would call Lowes and get back to me but never did. After calling Lowes multiple times to get an answer, twice talking to the assistant manager, no one would return my call. The AM told me twice he would get right back to me. A few more calls over a couple days and I finally got word that everything was on track with the first company and the other company calling was a mistake. I asked if they had an update on when it would be ready, it had been 3 weeks, and was told he had no idea. After all this they showed up more than a month after the order to do the install. Unfortunately they cut one of the holes too close to the cabinet and didn't put the anchors in the underside for the keyboard mount. When asked why there were no anchors I was told they don't do that. When asked what they would do about the hole in the wrong place the installers suggested cutting 1/2" off of the one side so it would slide over enough. I mean really?!? Cut off 1/2" and leave a massive gap on one side in this alcove? So in the end my outlet doesn't fit now, I have to try and drill in anchors myself, and I no longer have the template for the keyboard install. Lowe's won't do anything about it and Irving CounterTop doesn't seem to care. I asked for a new piece and was told no. Brian at Lowes Kitchens was a nice guy but this is a case study in how to mismanage your subs. I understand that Lowes subs this work out but I didn't get this from Irving CounterTop, I got it from Lowes and I would expect they stand by their customers when their subs screw up. I guess not! Don't bother using a big box like Lowes for anything that requires them to subcontract work, just go directly to a reputable company! read more
