I visit this Lowes location for most of my project needs, home shopping needs, tools and garden. The customer service depends on the day and staff you meet with. I purchased and got all my blinds installed here and that department was great. The garden area is hit or miss. I recently started shopping at HD as customer service is much better. I often get here to check new collections. The store is stocked well, and instore pickup works like a charm. Prices are comparable and sometimes competitive to others. read more

Lowe's installation service, Angi + Lowe's, is a bad joke. They assign an installer who may or may not decide to do the work. Then Angi will reassign to someone else, never proactively notifying the customer. You have to chase down the installer yourself to make sure that the promised date is accurate. Of course, the installer claims that Angi never notified them and that they can't make that date. This has happened to me twice on two different jobs. Most recently, I found someone else to do the installation and cancelled with Lowe's. If I'm going to do the work to find a qualified installer, I may as well shop at the Home Depot instead where the prices are generally lower. Bye bye Lowe's. read more

We needed a new dishwasher ASAP! Looked at many models & we were ok with spending a bit extra, the appliance employee talked us into purchasing the Hisense dishwasher since it offered all the options but it was only half the price. Get home, have it installed, works great, 6 days later Str code shows up, haven't gotten an actual clean dish since the first couple days. Can't return since past 48hrs, but if we would've used or would've applied for a Lowes credit card I'd be ok. Complete BS, I even used my contractor account with them which I've had for over 7 years. Update! I got it to work! Only I must remove um-install it from being counter sunk, give it a jiggle, wiggle, & light tap on side to lock & function properly! read more

While we were in an employee walked up and asked if we needed help. We tried to describe what we needed, which was just a piece to fix a sink, and he seemed really confused, so we just asked him to point us to the plumbing section. His response was "I don't know where that's at." I appreciate that he asked us if we needed help, and I understand that you can't know everything, but don't offer help if you don't even know where your store sections are located and have no way of looking them up or radioing another associate to find the location. read more

What a terrible experience! I am an art teacher and once a year I go to Lowe's (well, not anymore) to have some wooden planks cut down to use for sculpture bases. Yesterday I tried the Lowe's in Pottstown, but their wood cutting was out of order. Today I went to this Lowe's. I selected my planks and asked for assistance. The two people in the department were busy and asked me to wait until they were free. No problem. I waited 15 minutes for them to be free. When the employee met me at the cutter, he asked what I needed done. I had 4 10' planks that I needed cut into 12" pieces. It would take about 5 minutes to do. He told me he didn't have time to do it. He said if he did have time, he would have to charge me for the cutting (I already knew that because there was a sign saying so) I said I didn't mind paying for the cutting, but he refused to do it because he "didn't have enough time." There is a Home Depot just down the road. I went straight there. They were friendly and accommodating. They cut down the wood and it took 5 minutes. They did not charge me for the cutting and helped me load up my cart. It was a world of difference and the reason I will no longer shop at Lowe's. read more

The Lowe's store had a posting for their location. A friend of mine who both interviewed and received the job took a drug test (passed), signed all the necessary paperwork and was told "Welcome to the Lowe's Family". David (who did the drug testing stated that someone would contact them for orientation. Four weeks later and no word from Management or the H.R. person at Lowe's. After multiple calls asking for the H.R. person being told she was on vacation, at lunch and in meetings at various times; a phone number was left three different times for this H.R. person to return the call. As of this moment no one has reached out to say anything. This is both unprofessional and unacceptable to waste someone's time to mislead them and lie at the same time. I highly recommend not even wasting your time to interview for a job here as they do not care about how they treat people and playing games/being rude, disrespectful and unprofessional seems to be at the top of their list of priorities instead of hiring great people to provide customer service to their store/customers. There are too many places in Chester County with Now Hiring signs who need help and will not treat you like the Management Team or H.R. Team at Lowe's. read more

The store clerk didn't get our phone numbers right (either of them), the she missed the delivery date we wanted be 3 days, then the DeLeo very didn't show up on time and no one bothered to tell us. Jose, the manager was helpful tracking down this information but we still have no washer. Update: our washer came the next day. It seems it was stuck in weather related traffic. Terrible customer service from most of the week day morning crew. Me and my partner walked in excited to get supplies for household renovations we'd finally saved up for. First up was paint! We walked over to the paint counter (which had just been reoriented to maximize space it seems) and the employee who was working at the time looked to be fulfilling a large order and didn't acknowledge us (understandably). My partner looked at paint swatches while I waited patiently behind a woman in line for paint. The employee didn't acknowledge her either despite her waiting in line for over 10 minutes. She had to walk over to him and ask politely if he was able to help her, which he begrudgingly responded that he was working on a large order and he could not help her (did not offer to help at a later time just said no) to which she replied nicely, "Okay, I'll come back in a few minutes". I stood at the counter for a few minutes before recognizing that he wasn't going to address me either and my partner and I decided we would get paint elsewhere. I'd like to mention that instead of acknowledging us and the nice lady ahead of us, he continued to complain about the new setup to any of his coworkers that past. We ended up purchasing a few items which totaled roughly $400. During the checkout process an employee who had helped me and my partner ring up an item that had a missing barcode said "I can save you $80 on that order" and obviously my partner said "Sure!" thinking he would just scan a 20% off coupon or something you'd expect to see at any other trustworthy store, No! Instead he preformed an unauthorized credit check unbeknownst to my partner, and what do you know, we weren't approved for their credit card (which we didn't know we were applying for) which meant no 20% off, but we were less $400 and a few credit points. Thanks Lowe's! I would also like to note that when I explained what happened to their customer service department, they hung up on me. Love it! Essentially a useless store. I'm have had issues multiple times here in the past but today was the final straw. I needed a wooden dowel cut into 2 pieces that were 28.25 inches in length. It took 15 minutes to get an associate over to the panel saw and he was surly and did the job as quickly as he possibly could. When I got home, the pieces were both under 28 inches. I let out an expletive and now have to go back to this store yet again. Foolish me for not making him measure them in the store. The guy at the front of the store couldn't make a copy of a mailbox key and the next associate broke the key copying machine. The capper was only having 1 register open today and having the self checkout lines shut down. This store is poorly staffed, its associates aren't properly trained, and too often is hard to find someone who knows where something is located. Done going to this store since it is often a waste of time. I'll just drive a bit further down the road to Home Depot in the future. Not that Home Depot is that much better but I just don't have the consistent problems I have when I go to this Lowe's. Save your time and go elsewhere or buy it online & get it delivered. read more

I have always found pricing at Lowe's to be comparable to HD and Amzn. I don't work here but have found if you treat employees with respect, you generally get treated fairly and squarely. sometimes things don't go your way. For example, guy in front of me trying to return a half used 5 gallon bucket of driveway sealant. You just can't do that. Called them to ask about a price match...they sure me will match it. I drove there, and go figure...they are finding anything possible to not match it. Went to Lowe's for new doors. Paid $35.00 to Sean in Millwork to have someone come measure only to have my phone number recorded incorrectly. After realizing i hadn't heard from anyone i called and got my number corrected. The vendor called immediately after number was corrected and scheduled a time for later that day. They then called back to move the time up 4 hours. I was not able to accommodate the new time, so we rescheduled. Day of rescheduled appointment vendor calls an hour after the appointment window starts to cancel. Rescheduled again for Tuesday morning. Vendor arrives take measurements and pictures. Friday i follow up with Lowes and they have not received the information from the vendor. I call back on Sunday, still no information and Sean in Millwork is rude and dismissive. At this point it doesn't matter because I would not trust Lowes or their vendor to order the correct size door or to install it properly. read more

I went shopping for a ceiling fan. Joe from Lumber, who is passing by, asks if I need help and gets the fan associate for me. Lloyd, the fan/lighting person patiently helps me select a fan and an outdoor light. Very knowledgeable. So - 5 stars for excellent service, and the store is clean and bright, and as a plus - even the customers were so polite and practicing social distancing! read more

The employees in the cabinets department made it difficult to get even the most basic information. I was ignored. Looking to get numbers for kitchen counters. I have 26 apartments we will be remodeling next month. Elderly lady was the only one there. She spent 20 minutes chatting with what appeared to be a friend. He left and she turned around and saw me. I was standing about 15' away. She just went back to her pile of paper and spent 5 more minutes shuffling them. She then looked up and asked if I needed assistance. I told her I was wanting to get estimates on counters. She then said "I'm in the middle of something" . I told her that I was only a potential customer but that was now off the table and started to walk out. She said she didn't realize I needed assistance. We are not a big contractor but 26 kitchen counters would probably end up around $30K. If I could give them NO stars I would. Ordered a large expensive delivery. Waited over a month. They sent me no less than 4 texts telling me it would be here today. Delivery was mysteriously canceled. No one called to let me know. The delivery company (XPO) says that they never received the item and the delivery was canceled by Lowes. Lowes says it was shipped and out for delivery for today. After 3 hours of back and forth on the phone with these 2 companies, I am no better off. Did my delivery fall off the truck? Ordered online for in-store pickup before noon. Still hadn't received ready-for-pickup notice at 4:00. Went to store in person to pick up, and line for customer service was six people deep. First, Lowe's, if you're going to offer online ordering for pick-up, you should have a designated check-out lane for those orders. Second, it should not take more than an hour or two for the item to be pulled. Home Depot gets this; they have a great online ordering system and your order is ready and waiting in a secure locker, no need to get in any line at all. Went to this location after looking up a particular bedding plant on the website and seeing that it was in stock.....It was not...... Needing a few other items such as Roundup I saw the sign advertising buy one and get a refill free but could not find the refill. We finally found a person in a red vest who told me they were out of stock and not getting any more in. I told him it might be a good idea to remove the sign and he made a sarcastic comment that it did say that only while supplies last. So I said that since supplies were out it would be a courtesy to take them down.......His reply was "he only works here and hopefully not much longer since he has multiple other job offers". I recently purchased 5 good quality replacement windows from Lowes. I decided to have Lowes install them. The installation was poor at best. Lowes did not follow the manufactures recommend method of installation. When I questioned Lowes about this they said this is the way they install windows. The bottom line if you buy windows from Lowes install them yourself or hire someone who can do the job properly. read more

Very good overall experience. Have had some difficulties with warranties but every instance has ended well to my satisfaction. Mainly along the lines of tools that are guaranteed for life not having an identical replacement, and the first person I deal with in customer service not sure what to do. However, eventually someone gets involved who understands it doesn't have to be identical just comparable and takes care of me. It just takes a little effort on my part which accounts for one less star. The overall experience and presentation in the store are very good, and the tool inventory is excellent. I mostly shop for tools but everything seems well organized and stocked throughout the store. I especially like the folks in the tools department. One is a retired carpenter who is excellent. The more time I've spent there, the more I like it. It seems like it's trending toward five stars rather than three. read more
