Went into shop for a small portable air-conditioning unit for a bedroom. A fantastic female employee asked if she could help me however, I'll renew what I was going to get so I really did appreciate her help. While I was lifting the heavy unit to put it into my cart, two other associates came over and helped me. At the checkout, another employee help me at the self checkout because I could not lift the air-conditioning unit out of the cart to scan it so she took care of it for me. I gotta give this store an A+ for customer service today. The associates really care. The store was well organized, and pretty much stocked considering it is a Friday. I didn't have too much trouble finding what I was looking for and asked for the price. They are very competitive here with the competition. read more

Truly substandard in many ways. A careless delivery dented front frame of a patio chair,but wicker was already unready unraveling from the front frame, then because it was ordered from the website and not the local store. A return was complicated by the fact that it was purchased from the website and not the store. It was first suggested that we should be happy it was such a good price, then it was suggested that we needed to work with the manufacturer; a replacement couldn't be ordered until until the original was picked up and a refund given only when delivered back to the store read more

I placed an online order for delivery to my home address. I ordered 4 items but only 3 were delivered. The 4th item was held and the store responsible for shipping my order for me to pick up. The store is over an hour's drive from my home AND I do not have a car. That is why I wanted the order to be delivered! I called for customer support but waited for over 35 minutes for a representative only to be told that I was expected to go to the store to retrieve the rest of my order. The online website for Lowes is not well designed. I got no confirmation on the order via email even though my email address was required to complete the order. I will never attempt to buy anything from Lowes again. read more

Do not do any installation services with Jason Liss at this location as he will ghost you as soon as they get the money and signed contract. When issues arise he will not reply to anything as well as their support center won't as well. This is not to pan Lowe's so much as it is to let people know that, if you buy a refrigerator from them, beware of Frigidaire. We purchased a new Frigidaire refrigerator about a month ago and it does not cool. Lowe's does not take care of this issue beyond two days (48 hours to cool according to Frigidaire). Try calling Frigidaire's warranty service and you go through a two minute menu only to be told to call back because they are experiencing too many calls. Over and over again. What does this tell you? We have had to go to an outside service to repair the refrigerator at our own expense. Lowe's just sells these things and you are on your own after that. We purchased the extended warranty. Can' wait to see how that works out. Also, came dented and Lowe's delivery service promised but has not paid an adjustment fee back to us. read more

Every time I go to Lowe's I swear I will never go back and this store is no exception. I was looking for hose clamps and was sent to plumbing. I found two which I took to the checkout only to find the had no UPC codes. Very curtesy I was told that was because they were only sold by the bag. I left for ACE, down the street, and they had the clamps in individual units. This isn't the first time I have had similar problems at Lowe's at different stores. I think it is in their culture. I purchased a 24 inch range along with a new gas line cord when delivery came they had no paperwork.. I was missing the gas line when I called the store Kim said she would have it sent right away, my installer came the next day and still no gas line.. Do not Ever Ever Ever buy something from Lowes that they are installing!!!!!! My daughter had problems with them cancelling and rescheduling several times with her new washer and dryer. My dad had the same problem getting his new oven installed. I should have listened to them! I purchased and paid for the installation of a new kitchen light and fan. This is my go to big box store . Reasons I like it The inventory is typically in stock. Appears to be well run store. I have had some exceptional staff help me over the years. Their app works great to locate items in the store. (Take note Target). They offer 10% off of everything all the time to veterans! They have reserved parking spaces for combat wounded veterans and veterans. I've never seen anyone else do this! They hire disabled folks to work the cash registers. This store walks the talk. Typical Lowes, I enjoy shopping here. Employees mostly competent and friendly. I have had some issues with ordering online for pick up in the store. A pick-up notice doesn't necessarily mean that your order ready for you to PICK UP. Several of my orders, I've had to wait for an employee to PICK UP my order from somewhere in the store and bring it up front so I could PICK it UP. Would have been faster and less frustrating to just go to the store, grab a cart and get the order myself. read more

I go into the store to purchase a simple item and an associate tells me about a flash sale in their garden center. After picking up a cart full of items, a young woman cashier ran us up while I ran to the bathroom and accidentally typed in the wrong SKU for double the price of an item. When I came back I noticed the mistake and told her about it. Instead of her or another associate double checking, I had to run to the shelves to grab another of the same item. She fumbled on trying to scan and refund me. She pressed her fat stomach on my item, squishing it while she struggled with the register. There was another associate next to her standing there like a stupid statue and did nothing. Instead, after waiting a few minutes, I grabbed another item and she finally scanned it. She rung me up and charged me for the item but never refunded me for her original mistake. Incompetent much? I'll be taking my business to Home Depot next time because their associates are friendly, helpful and competent. read more

We live at the very edge of this Lowe's delivery area, but they cheerfully brought us our new freezer. It was free delivery for this particular sale priced event. We looked at several Madison area appliance dealers, but only Lowe's had an upright with a reversible door unit. I don't imagine the big box stores ever get much in the way of positive reviews here on Yelp - we are quick to complain and slow or even forgetful to compliment. So before I write to Lowe's corporate, I am taking a minute as I sit in the Lowe's parking lot to praise this store and specifically its store manager, Portia Jordan. My remodel project was put on hold for nearly 6 months / the issue I had with Lowe's was colossal. Even epic. I'll spare y'all the details, just know my anger reached surface of the sun temps. Portia Jordan took complete command of the issue / even though my problem was really with their supplier and the manufacturer, not the in-store staff. And when I say complete command, she treated me with utmost respect and courtesy. Routinely, Portia Jordan called and texted me with updates on how she was resolving my issues. At the end of the day, Portia turned a negative into a positive - and I must admit, very nearly a "funny" episode in my basement remodel project. God Bless MIss Portia - she elevated customer care to new levels. She is a beautiful person and an asset to the Lowe's brand. read more

Everyone there Is very friendly! As soon as I stepped in, someone greeted me. It was also a genuine greet. I went into Lowe's to get a water pump for my bird feeder and I was immediatley greeted by an associate from outside lawn and garden. She asked if I needed help and she got me the correct water pump! When I went to checkout, the cashier smiled the whole time and definitely made me want to go back because they had amazing customer service. 10/10, I recommend! read more

Last year after talking to a Lowes sales person, we ordered a glass shower alcove door for $469. We also bought the alcove shower there. The guy assured us it would fit. Well we are slow at getting things done. today the hub tried to install this door. Guess what??? Doesn't fit. opening is 32.25 door is for a min 33 inch opening. Why would the guy tell us it was the right door? I swear I have finally learned my lesson nothing further will be bought from Lowes, they screwed up my floor install at the lake, they screwed up my fence install and now this and of course they will not take it back, but they will sell me a different door for over 500 bucks and of course their managers are never ever available. read more

I like Lowes. This particularly Lowes could benefit from an attitude adjustment top down. On several occasions I have heard a manager in a short, negative way bark at employees. The employees, in turn, reflect a negative attitude. Not sure what is going on at this store, but as a customer and a laid back person; I don't like the feel of the attitudes here. In fact, if it was a civil attitude I would be okay with it. Unhappy people do not make me want to return, or spend money for that matter. read more

I recently purchased the Char-Griller Duo Black 3-Burner (40,800-BTU) Liquid Propane Gas Grill from Lowes.com for my fiancé for father's day. The grill was listed for $299.99 and I had a 10% off coupon code which brought my total after taxes to $283.90. I had triple checked the measurements of the box so that I would be able to fit this in my vehicle. The closest Lowes to me was a 40 minute drive but worth it I thought for this grill. I even had my mother in law purchase the grill cover for him as a father's day gift . I drove 40 minutes on Saturday the day before father's day to pick this grill up. I walked into the Delavan Lowes location and noticed there was a grill all assembled right next to the entrance. It was the same grill I had purchased online so I decided to check in out while I waited for Customer Service to be free. There was an invoice taped to the front of the grill with my name on it and phone number and all my information. I thought to myself "there is no way THIS is MY grill". The grill I was looking at was filthy (I have attached photos). The grill I was looking at was CLEARLY a floor model grill meant for display only. It had clearly been a grill that was brought outside daily for display. The grill I purchased online was supposed to be BRAND NEW. Also, The grill I purchased was supposed to be IN A BOX. There was no way I was fitting this assembled grill into my vehicle. I went up to customer service once they were free and spoke to them about my concerns. The gentlemen at the desk preceded to pour water from his water bottle onto a paper towel and attempt to clean the grill right in front of me. He could tell I was a little upset so he called a manage up to the front. The manager offered me a 10% discount on this grill. I was still very unhappy but my mother in law had already purchased the cover for this and my father in law was all set to give my fiancé some great steaks to grill our father's day dinner. I accepted the deal because I didn't want to be empty handed on father's day morning. Then there was a transportation issue. There was no way the grill was going to fit in my vehicle. I asked if I was able to have them deliver it for me and they said it would cost extra. I asked if they could disassemble the grill and put it back in the box and they said they no longer had the box. I had to contact my mother in law who had to drive 40 minutes herself to come and pick this grill up for me and deliver it to our house. The employees that I was speaking with acted like I was actually getting a deal because it came assemble even though that isn't what I wanted AT ALL. To say that I had a horrible experience with Lowes is an understatement. Needless to say I will no longer be purchasing ANYTHING from lowes.com and definitely will not be shopping at the Delavan location. I emailed the Lowes customer service team two days ago and have yet to receive a response. read more

My husband and an electrician drove to Lowe's in Delavan WI for a GFI light switch. The only switch they had was the display one which they REFUSED to sell them. Even though the others are on back order and would have the same sku number. So my husband and electrician had to run all over for over an hour to find one. I called the manager (got assistant store manager) and asked why they wouldn't sell the display and he told me the Vendor owns them and they can't sell them because they don't know if they work. I told him I would think they could have checked to see if it worked. But he said no they can't do that. I have worked retail over 30 years and NEVER in my life have I been to a store that doesn't sell it's display. Only good thing to come of this was that they found it at True Value in Elkhorn for $10 less. Lowe's is not very consumer friendly and that is why we don't shop there much! read more
