Even though he had a mechanical issue on the way to see us - being friends - he COULD have rescheduled and not shown up. His high work ethic, however, did not allow for it. He showed up and within the past 6 hours - he has completed work for us that would have taken us months to do because of lack of knowledge and not having the right tools. Non-stop effort. They did not receive flowers on their anniversary and I had no contact from the store. I followed up by phone with no answer and no voicemail set up. I called again and answered with a response that it's lucky they answered because they're busy prepping for a wedding. Once they looked up the order I was told it wasn't fulfilled because they needed more money? They were agreeable to deliver same day and put something together. I was told it won't look exactly like the picture. At this point, the sentiment was lost. The flowers delivered looked nothing like the order. I understand big orders like weddings bring in more money, but this incident is ridiculous. The flowers are pretty, but my order was completely forgotten and left feeling like an inconvenience.

Back in 2021 I purchased 30 7 foot Emerald Arborvitae's from Arbor Vista Nursery. I had the…read moreopportunity to interact with the owner who was extremely helpful in picking out trees for a privacy screen for our home in Whitewater. The trees were delivered the following week and we planted them the next day. Over the course of 2021 we watered the trees twice a week. Unfortunately, in the fall of 2021 most of the trees started to brown. One of the trees died over the winter and when we contacted Arbor Vista Nursery they suggested a fertilizer stick and for us to continue watering to reverse the browning. They indicated they would replace the tree for $100. Over the course of the summer of 2022 6 additional trees died. Fast forward to the Spring of 2023, we have 7 dead trees, followed the instructions of Arbor Vista Nursery and they want to charge us 40% more per tree for two foot shorter trees. I feel let down considering we followed their advice, that some of the trees were diseased and started browning since we purchased them at that we are being taken advantage of to replace them. They were extremely unhelpful in resolving our concerns and I found several other reputable nurseries that our selling their same product for cheaper. Recommend purchasing elsewere.

Blatantly Misleading. No Fine Print. No Accountability…read more I ordered a Clematis from McKay Nursery in a #1 container, which their site described as approximately a 1-gallon size. What I got was a 2.5-quart pot--dramatically smaller than what any reasonable person would expect when ordering a gallon-sized plant. I contacted customer service, and Matt Weaver responded by telling me that a "#1 container" is actually a "trade gallon," which, according to him, means 2.4-2.9 quarts. That's not a real gallon. And more importantly: that information was nowhere on McKay's website. No small print. No disclaimer. No fine print. Nothing. To justify this, Matt sent me a link--not from McKay--but from a completely unrelated company's website (NC Farms), trying to retroactively explain away the discrepancy. That's not customer service. That's deflection. If McKay is using a non-standard sizing system, it is their responsibility to be transparent about that at the point of sale--not after someone calls them out. The fact that this was omitted entirely from their site makes it false advertising, plain and simple. The plant might be healthy, but I paid for something I didn't receive--and the way it was handled showed zero integrity. Buyers beware: McKay's "gallon" isn't a gallon. And once they've got your money, don't expect accountability.
