This is a great family that raises trees on their land! It's a great family tradition to cut your own tree! Thank you!

This was a wonderful place to go as a family, our first year cutting our own tree. Great variety…read moreof trees, prices are better than average and all the tools you need (saw, twine, etc) if you don't bring your own. Very laid back and friendly staff willing to help at any step of the way needed. Leashed dogs are welcome, ours was thrilled to come along for an afternoon out with us! There is a small little barn that has some well cared for baby animals that can be pet, Santa was there behind a gate in another small, picturesque barn for socially distanced pictures (no lap sitting, perhaps for the best regardless!) and free cocoa and coffee in another small barn. A taco truck was there that smelled delicious, but left before we got a chance to sample those smells - we were bummed! Apparently there are hayrides and a few other things that weren't available this year because of COVID, but we didn't feel like we missed out. Best of all, we ended up choosing a beautiful blue tipped spruce that ventured out of the normal pine territory we are used to, and it was fun to find the perfect tree that we weren't expecting. Lots of photo opportunities. There on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, so it was busy - but still felt safe and was manageable. We would go back next year, despite it being an hour plus drive for us.

Forced family event turns to great experience…read more This place has such a great selection of pre cut or cut your own. Seems like the majority is Frazier but we went pine this year for the first time. Loved the different areas spread all over to cut your own. They even have atvs driving around to take your cut tree to the shake station. If you have little kids there's some fun stuff and they have drinks and food. Happy we ventured here. Worth the 1-1/2 hour drive.

A tradition that started with 4 or 5 of us and has grown to 8. We have not actually bought a Tree from there in years (They're Overpriced) but our friends always do, they love the tradition of cutting their own tree, their oldest son has taken on the responsibility, something he is very proud of. There is obviously MUCH MUCH more than just trees though, Our kids love the animals, santa, snacks, and shops. We always bring a few adult beverages to chat around the outdoor firepits, spend quality time together roaming the property, petting the animals, indulging their delicious foods and making new memories. Williams is without a doubt the best option in the Rockford Area and I would highly recommend bringing your family and friends.

This family run operation symbolizes to me all that is good about Wisconsin. We came here 7 years…read moreago, it was a scary time for us. After a whole lifetime in Chicago, I failed to get tenure there and had to start over in Milwaukee. We didn't really know anyone in town, and although I've traveled all over the world, only Chicago has ever really been home. Maria comes from a big Catholic family in small town Western Michigan, and Christmas is a special time for her. Well thanks to the then strong public teacher union presence, my new job paid a living wage, for the first time we were able to afford a house. That house really became a home after we discovered Grandpa Vern's seasonal operation and got our first Christmas tree. Since then, we've found them every year, every December we get a wonderful fresh tree they've grown and brought down from their farm in Northern Wisconsin personally. Our 7 year tradition isn't yet impressive to them, they've been at this for two full generations. Their prices are so much better than what you would get in Chicago, the quality is much better, and they will secure the tree to the roof of your car competently and quickly. They take cash or cheques, no credit cards, the CVS next door has an ATM.

Boy boi did it surprise me. Crowds: they limit tickets into their farm meaning it doesn't feel like you stepped into Disney land with insane crowds. Busy enough to feel exciting but not where you're bumping into people left and right. Cornmaze: the HIGHLIGHT of our visit. This isn't any ordinary corn maze. They have an entire scavenger hunt that connects to their app. So you have to find 14 question and scan the QR code to answer. If you find all 14 (it's a hunt) and get all the questions right you're entered into a raffle. We had SO much and found all 14. It was such a fun bonding experience for our family. Pumpkins, mums, and more: the pumpkins and mums felt very reasonably priced. And the mums were HUGE and healthy compared to getting them at the big stores. We also enjoyed some hot cocoa, hot apple cider and kettle corn. All delicious. Animals: I'm an animal activist and reduce to visit places where animals are forced to provide entertainment. This place had a petting zoo but didn't allow kids inside and there was no actual animals rides. Thank you Kroll's. We ended our trip with the hay ride which was also a treat and perfect way to relax before leaving. So stop what you're doing and pay them a visit! The cutest pumpkin patch
