Horrible customer service. Lies and theft. Multiple calls left unanswered. Still don't have an…read moreanswer. We were given a $400 gift card to countryside from my mother in law for our wedding. It was an old gift card--from 2013--that my mother in law never used. When we went to use it we were told that they couldn't find the gift card in their system and that the lady who handles the gift cards was off that day. We left them with our number and were told that they would call us back with an answer on what's going on with the gift card when the lady who handles the gift cards is working. Fast forward a couple of days. They never called us to let us know about the gift card, so my wife called them. The girl who answered the phone was rude and not helpful. She said that she knows nothing about that at all and can't do anything about it. She forwarded my wife's call to the garden department and it went to voicemail where my wife left a message. 2 days later my wife called again and the same thing happened. At this point I called them and spoke with the rude girl and gave her my name and number and she told me that the woman who handles the gift cards would be in the next day and would call me back. The woman who handles the gift cards did in fact call me back the next day. She was able to find the transaction for the purchase of the gift card in 2013 and the gift card was not listed in their system as expired. She told me that she would need to talk to the owners of countryside to see what they want to do about it and that she would call me back to let me know what's going on. This was a month ago and still nothing. No answer. We are very disappointed in how unprofessionally our issue has been handled. Both sides of our family have been shopping at Countryside for many years, hence the gift card from 2013.

It was a beautiful sunny day that just kept getting hotter and the strawberry were so delicious that we were all eating them as soon as we picked them!. It took a while before we had any to take home! . I think we were rocking back and forth like drunken sailors in the strawberry patch. We picked a LOT more and I thought I'd never want another strawberry again. Until the next day at least. We wanted to try to freeze them but we ate them all again. We had so much fun that day. Everyone loved it. I wish we could all reassemble together again and repeat it again but life changed and some memories are just so amazing that even if it were possible to get all of us together in that patch, we could never have imagined that we could never repeat that magic. Of laughter and joy to of that day. We never thought about that or we'd have stayed longer, picked more and held on tightly and not let go. I love you guys and miss you all.

I would recommend following them on social media to double check the hours before you come; the first time I came out, I didn't realize they were closed for the holidays. The other reason why you should follow them on socials is because they have $5 specials on Fridays for a select plant of their choice! Amazing and dangerous for plant lovers... For a small shop, they are jam packed with a range of beautiful and healthy plants. If you're not looking for a plant (yet), they have accessories (pots, stakes, etc) and locally made goods. The prices are reasonable, too! The worker at the shop was attentive but not over bearing, and she patiently answered all of my questions about my plants. She recommended a stake for my hoya, which was a great purchase. They seem to really care about their plants and their customers! However, I ordered over $6000 of decking material which was delivered to my driveway, with the exception of 7 boards. I didn't notice I was shorted for 12 days and by the time I reported it, they claimed there was no way to know if I was telling the truth. As a compromise, they delivered 4 boards which I needed to finish the project, but never credited me for the 3 I never received. Better than no customer service, but still disappointing.
