I would not recommend buying a major appliance from Lowe's. In Minneapolis/St. Paul, Lowe's is employing "No Name" delivery companies to deliver and install major appliances. The third party companies are employing people who don't speak English. It took us ten weeks to get a refrigerator delivered and installed properly. Delivery and installation of stove was pushed back two times after confirming a delivery day and time window. When the stove is finally delivered the delivery team tracks mud and snow throughout the house. While removing the previous stove they put a nice quarter inch gash in my countertop. Surprised they didn't scratch the floor with how lazily they pulled the stove out. Anyways new stove installation means they drop it in kitchen;unless you pay for new wire harness from Lowe's at time of purchase even though I had new one in package ready for the installation as they note in delivery confirmation email. Very disappointed with the lack of respect or work ethic from the Lowe's Installation Team. Likely will never spend another dime at Lowes after this. read more

Opened up a Lowe's Consumer Credit Card when I made a purchase, with the understanding that I was getting the promotional 12-month 0% interest, only to find out the store associate didn't know what they were doing when setting up the credit card, and setup auto-payments, but was rather surprised to notice I have still been paying interest on that purchase. Called out Lowe's on the issue, only to have them tell me there's nothing they can do about it. This is apparently the kind of customer service you can expect to get from Lowe's. I definitely will be giving Home Depot and Menards all of my business from now on. read more

Decided to use Lowe's for brand new kitchen install and absolutely regret it. A couple of the cabinets were sent to me damaged and needed to be reordered. When the installers came to put up the cabinets that weren't damaged we discovered that the kitchen was measured incorrectly 7 inches to short. That's when the finger pointing started and the problem still has not been corrected. I cannot even begin to say how frustrating this process has been, it has left me defeated and trying to cook in a half done kitchen. I have been trying to get a hold of the people that I am supposed to be working with at Lowe's and get no response, considering no one answers the phone at the store. Even if I walk in the store to see someone face to face I get no answers, that is if my sales person is actually working and not on vacation. I just want to get this kitchen done so I don't have to conduct anymore business with Lowe's, I'm losing faith that this will ever happen. It's been a long few months and there is no end in sight! As soon as this kitchen is done I will never go back to Lowe's again. Just to clarify, the install team has been amazing! They have done everything they can possibly do to help me out. My wife recently purchased a new house in Eden Prairie. The owners put in new Samsung appliances. All high end stuff. The dishwasher never gets the dishes clean. 3 plus hour wash cycle and still dirty dishes. The microwave over the range turns itself on randomly. Lowe's sold these to the previous owner so we contacted them. They sent out s third party repairman who said everything seemed to be working correctly. He said the dishwashers are quiet, energy efficient but didn't clean as well as the old dishwashers. He unplugged the microwave and plugged it back in to reset. He left. The microwave started itself a half hour later. Lowe's won't replace because we didn't buy them. read more

We've had to sample all of the home supply stores in the area for the past 9 years - and LOWE'S by FAR has superior customer service and oftentimes prices that are just as good, if not better. And to me, if something they have is $1-2 more, I would much rather shop in this well-organized, helpful place than the living nightmare that is Menards (shopping with children at Menards is equal to Dante's 6 level of hell). Or even Home Depot, which has incompetent workers and is half the time out of stock of whatever I need. If you value your sanity, just do Lowe's. Anytime we don't, we always just end up saying, "I wish we had just gone to Lowe's. read more

One thing that Lowe's has that Menards and Home Depot don't have is technology. All of the associates carry an iPhone with a custom gadget that is a Lowe's pocket computer. They can pull up inventory etc. right from their iPhone there in the isle. read more

Throughout the past 7 years we have bought our carpet, washer, dryer, dishwasher, bathroom tile, kitchen cabinets and kitchen countertops from Lowe's. We have been happy with every purchase every time. They explain everything (the process, the lead time, etc) very well and set your expectations to be realistic. We have not been disappointed once. And I used to work in the design industry and I know how rare that is to have everything done on time and to the customer's satisfaction. It shows that they must be an organized operation behind the scenes. As these types of results don't occur without lots of planning and detailed communication behind the scenes. My next door neighbor did their updates with Lowe's and is very happy as well! I LOVE LOWE'S!! read more

I might be biased because I worked for lowes at another location years ago. I recently moved to Coon Rapids and every time I go into this location the staff is helpful and the store is really clean. I placed a special order for some hardware and there was a mixup and the management staff handled it with no problems. I'm a very satisfied customer. read more

The staff at Lowe's is always very helpful and they usually know what they're talking about. They have lots of variety without being overwhelming. They give a Military discount, which is awesome as my family likes to support companies that support our troops! Ample parking and very easy in and out! The only Con I have is the Valspar paint. We got a can from there, mixed fresh and we let it sit for a little while and it separated so much that it couldn't be mixed together. Epic fail Valspar! I wouldn't suggest getting paint there, but other than that, this place is great! read more

Stopped in to pick out blueberry bushes and their horticulturalist Kelly helped us. She was mid restocking a shelf when my husband asked for her help. She led us to the wide selection of blueberry plans to which my husband and I had no clue about. She recommended plants told us how to carefor it so we can enjoy them for years to come. All within 15mins. Her knowledge and helpfulness was so impressive. We have never experienced this level of care before at a home center. read more

I shopped at Lowe's for almost two hours and at check out their computer system went down. I waited over 30 minutes - I asked if they could call me when it came back up. I didn't hear from them. Came into the store two days later and they put all my items away! My cart was over $600 in merchandise. The manager was rude when I explained the situation. Big box stores don't care about customer service - people will shop regardless. The system was not down for days - they were too lazy to contact me Sunday or Monday? Or didn't care if I came back? I actually like this Lowe's over Home Depot & Menards. The store itself is kept fairly organized and clean. They usually have what I need in stock and the fact the store is open till 10 (at least in the summer time) most nights is great if you are a late bird trying to accomplish a project at home. I am the type of person to usually not ask for any help and it's nice not to be overly pestered when going about the store. If you do ask for help, the staff is usually friendly with trying to help you. Overall my visits to this Lowe's have been great and I walk out with what I need. With Menards and Home Depot being right down the road, I usually almost always choose Lowe's. I do wish they would have more lanes open on any given visit. I have had to wait in line a few too many times when I go. Nothing horrible and they will eventuality open another lane but it's not as fast as it should be especially when you see staff standing around doing nothing with signs posted by the register promising to open more lanes if there is a line. Lowe's also offers in store pickup if you want to plan ahead with an order online before going in. In my opinion Lowe's is a more tech driven company certainly over Menards and maybe even Home Depot. While I don't frequent enough for the purchase history to be useful to me, it's pretty cool you can view your purchase history right on the app, this could come in handy for say your furnace filters if you can't remember the size. read more

My husband and I were so looking forward to the prospect of upgrading the floors in our entire upper level of our home. (Living room, hallway, and 3 bedrooms) We shopped around for months at all of the big box home improvement stores, as well as several smaller flooring stores and Lumber Liquidators. Our decision to go with Lowes was two fold. They had a product we loved and they had a great offer on financing. The buying process initially went smoothly. However, after that it was one delay or misorder after another. Then it really went down hill when the product arrived. We allowed our new beautiful bamboo floors to acclimate for the necessary amount of time and then some as we waited for the installer to have time to get to us. Just as he was finishing up we learned that we were missing necessary finishing pieces. MORE DELAYS. Finally it was done and beautiful. Our fist winter with the floors brought expected gaps with winter shrinking and then the canyons formed between the pieces, gaps in excess of 1 inch. So, with many phone calls and trips to the store they agreed to have it reinstalled in the areas where there was a problem. Again, beautiful floors. AGAIN problems. Now with the summer's warmer temps. and Minnesota humidity we have floors that have swelled so much we have moving waves of buckling bamboo. Many more phone calls and a different installer was sent out to see it (the third installer). It has now been deemed beyond repair. To make this all even more frustrating, LOWES no longer carries this product and the company no longer makes the floors. It brings tears to my eyes to think of it. My husband and I have been patient, accommodating, and have now reached our limit. read more
