I had an outstanding experience at the Lowe's in Conway! The gentleman in the tools department was incredibly helpful. I couldn't even name the tool I needed for my drill to restore a beautiful flea-market bowl, but he stayed with me, listened to my project, and helped me find exactly what I needed. I'm so grateful for the 15 minutes he spent guiding me through. Then, in the paint department, another gentleman was just as fantastic--he quickly got me the paint samples I needed in no time. Thanks to them, I was on my way home to craft and restore my bowl! I truly appreciate their attentive, knowledgeable service. Five stars for making my hobby projects a success! read more

1 Star -- At This Point, It Should Be Spelled "BLOWE'S" My husband and I walked into the Conway Lowe's at around 8:00 in the morning ready to buy a washer and dryer. We have always been big Lowe's fans -- or at least we USED to be. The experience started off strangely before we even made it to appliances. My husband has IBS and urgently needed the restroom. There are only two stalls in the men's bathroom, yet there were THREE gentlemen in there, and they remained in there for an unusually long time. My husband eventually had to leave because he simply couldn't wait. Then we headed over to appliances. We were specifically looking at scratch-and-dent appliances because we happen to believe there's absolutely nothing wrong with saving money where you can. We have money. We just prefer spending it on things that actually matter instead of wasting it on first-world shit when a perfectly good appliance with a scratch or dent will wash the exact same clothes. The gentleman in appliances appeared much more interested in Facebook than helping us, so I finally approached another employee and asked for assistance. His first response was: "Well, I don't work in appliances." Then he followed it up by telling us: "This is the Sanford and Son section." I'm still not entirely sure what that was supposed to mean. I'm guessing he was referring to the scratch-and-dent appliances, but regardless, it came across as incredibly condescending. Then came the giggling and laughing. Here's the thing: we weren't asking anybody for a handout. We were trying to GIVE Lowe's our money. Choosing to buy scratch-and-dent doesn't mean someone can't afford something new. Sometimes it means they've figured out that paying hundreds of extra dollars because the side of a washing machine is cosmetically perfect is ridiculous. Good customer service would have taken about 30 seconds: "I don't work in appliances, but let me find someone who does." Instead, we walked into Lowe's as longtime customers ready to purchase two appliances and walked out feeling like employees were more interested in Facebook, jokes, and judging which section we were shopping in than actually helping us. Ok, they suck. Wait, I mean, they REALLY SUCK. Sure, you can order anything ( the reasn they get a 2 star and not a 1 star) short story I special ordered at Black Porcelain sink, the first one came in broken, the second one was sent to my house with the installer when opened the day of the installation that sink was also broken. the third one was opened at the store and inspected by myself and was un damaged. story number 2, I ordered an installation of a tile backslash. Oh my God, I don't even know where to begin with nightmare. let's just say at one point the installation specialist did not know how to bo his job, so he e-mailed his boss, his boss, e-mailed him back and simply told him to "take care of it" OH BTW the specialist was off the next two days, the installer was scheduled to show up without the backslash FOR THE LOVE OF GOD! and I could go on and on. read more

We were in the store Monday to buy a new water heater we were there for over an hour trying to get someone to help us, all we needed was someone to get the water heater to the checkout and to our vehicle . We talked to three or four people, after we ran all over the store and finally we got someone to come back there and his excuse was the person that works there was off today and he didn't know anything about water heaters. What kind of excuse is that??? We are both over 80 years old and I am a disabled vet. And this was a hardship for us, but the people that were sitting in their cars in the parking lot were getting their orders brought out to them with no problem. If you can't take care of the customers out in the parking lot and the people in the store maybe you should just be one or the other. I suggest someone read these reviews maybe some improvements in your service would be made. read more

Once again, the garden department is unbelievably negligent in the plants they are trying to sell. We visited (only because of convenient location, certainly not quality or price) Memorial Day weekend looking for some flowering plants. Rack after rack of dying plants were presented for sale, most at full price, of course. All of the plants were bone dry, not having been watered in days or weeks. Meanwhile an abundance of employees wandered about, sweeping the floor of the garden center, singing to a radio while they SLOWLY checked customers out, and chatting about what time they got off. How can they make any profit when a very large percentage of their plants get discarded because no one has bothered to water them? read more

Now I know why this particular Lowes only has a 2 star rating! My husband and I purchased some higher end ( high density) carpet and had to wait almost 2 weeks for an install date. When the carpet installer showed up, they seemed unsure and asked my husband and I to verify the carpet. It was a different carpet and different pad. Also the carpet was label with another name and identifying info. On one side and the correct name and info on the other side. My husband and I went back down to the store to discuss with the sales person, who has gotten a supervisor and Sales rep involved. The sales rep was to bring in a sample of another row of carpet that was at the warehouse that was our intended order. The salesman said "Todd" offered to bring in a sample at 11:00 am the next day and we would all confirm it was the correct color and he would txt me when the sample was there. I never heard back and called them at 1 pm and was told "Todd forgot the sample", but that he would bring it later. My husband and I were growing very inpatient at this time. Next we got a call from the salesman saying they got the sample and "all three of us looked at it and it is correct". I said great let's call the install company for a date. I received a call from the install company who I had spoken with previously, she was confused because she said Lowes told her to install the same carpet. I'm not sure why Lowes was less than upfront.. but can we say "bate and switch". They tried to say we were incorrect about the color. We were insulted as we can tell between a light tan and darker brown. I am new too the great state of AR and we love it here, but this was sure a downer. We cancelled the order and have to start all over again. My husband was so mad and insulted he called the manager! We learned a great lesson and will go to a carpet specialty store. read more

We have been LONG TIME customers of this Lowes location for over 17 years and never have any issue with special orders, help loading, customer service friendliness at the register and managers who assist when called. They have great levels of stock to choose from and in a pinch, they help find what you are looking for. If they don't have it, they've even picked up their cell phones to find it at another shop locally for us. Community Service Excellence! The Pro's have been in place for a long time and we are happy to see them when they approach us to see if we need assistance. The store is clean and well stocked and we appreciate having Lowes in the community. read more

I drove an hour to Conway, AR Lowes store to purchase a zero turn mower. Waited about 20 minutes for help. The salesman convinced me to apply for a Lowes credit card and save on my purchase. I reluctantly agreed because the savings was significant. I then waited 44 minutes while numerous employees were working on my credit card application. I had to enter my social security number and mothers maiden name numerous times. Finally the clerk told me I would be getting a letter in about a week. I asked "so can I go ahead an charge the mower " thinking the account was approved. He said "no you were not approved". I was so frustrated that I walked out. Subsequently I received an email from Experian saying Lowes had recently checked my credit. They added "congratulations on your exemplary credit rating. It is 835 out of a possible 850." No one at Lowes offered an explanation nor even a simple apology. How do they stay in business? !!! read more

5-2-17 AGAIN HORRIBLE SERVICE! The only way to get help is to become so insisstant that you smack on being rude. The employees were so busy on their computers that they won't even talk to you, answer questions or recognize that you even exist! Went right to Home Depot, everyone-everyone-everyone asked what we needed, if they could help us or show us what we needed. The difference is so different from the 2 stores. Three employees are arguing very loud and not even checking me out at the register. They are arguing about scheduling and not getting a break or something silly like that. Very loud where everyone is looking and feeling uncomfortable around this. I'm so annoyed and upset that I have to deal with this going to Lowe's. Lowes staff was so helpful! I came in needing help with a replacement deadbolt and re-key. I was having trouble matching a certain brand and ended up having to go to both Lowes and home depot twice. Both times I went to Lowes the staff was helpful and courteous and knowledgeable. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for their competitor. read more

If I could give this store negative stars I would! Worst customer service ever. I ordered very nice sliding glass door, or so I thought, until the installer showed up with one exactly like what I had that cost half as much. Weeks went by and I finally called and apparently the new door is here but neither us nor the installer had been called about it. Luckily we had saved the installers phone number so we set it up ourselves. Ordered custom interior shutters and after the installer came to measure I had to go back to the store to pay for them and NO ONE knew how to ring them up and they asked me to come back another day when the only person who had this sacred knowledge would be there! This is just a smattering of the incompetency I have faced in dealing with these people all summer. They never return phone calls and you have to ride them like Seabiscuit at every turn to make sure they do their jobs. It's the worst case of Rectal Cranial Syndrome I have ever seen and I've been an educator for seventeen years! These people (with the exception of their installers, who have been great) managers included, all need to go to aisle seven and grab a pair of pliers and pull their heads out of their A$$es!!! To start with I've never been to a Lowe's anywhere and not left frustrated. And I've been to a lot all over. So my bias towards Lowe's is already pretty negative. But this store is one of the worst I've been to right with the Russellville store. The selection is terrible, majority of employees-while most of them kind-are useless for a hardware store and know hardly anything about the department they are assigned to. College town so you get a lot of, for lack of a better term, lazy college kids. Glad to see them helping those kids out, but a little training goes a long way. Finding anything with the store layout makes me want to scream every time I have to go in there which unfortunately I do sometimes. If your in Conway don't waste your time there and yes it is on the other side of town but go to Home Depot. I have absolutely no affiliation with either but if you want a better selection, better in store help, and most of all not to leave there wishing bad things on the store then go to Home Depot. The only reason I gave it one star is because you have to in order to be able to post comments. Believe me if I could give zero or negative I would. read more
