Ugh it can fry them if you don't have surge protectors! So don't forget to pick up some surge protectors after you buy your fridge or washer and dryer! I placed an order today (more than $1000) from my phone, trying to meet a deadline so I could receive the order the same day. I didn't wait for a receipt because I have never had a problem. Later, when I went to see when my order was coming, my things were still in the cart. I went to the laptop and the same issue occurred, AND it said I could get it tomorrow. That didn't work. My husband went in person to order, and now it won't come for two more days. Please understand, I am less unhappy about being inconvenienced, but more concerned about the response from the employee and manager, who could not suggest how to help me aside from coming in and having to wait even more. Neither the employee or the manager we spoke to could offer us a solution, such as contacting a tech department. I would have been happy if they acted just a bit concerned and told me they would have the issue investigated. Now, I will do everything I can to avoid shopping at Lowe's. The corporate website spends more time talking about DEI and community involvement, and not one comment visible about the customer, who pays the bills! read more

Once when I brought my Great Dane in he pooped on the floor, the manager put orange road cones around it but wouldn't let me clean it. (SO embarrassing ). Exchanged 2 propane cans...barely. Paid for them and then waited over 20 minutes while the self checkout clerk continued to page someone with the propane keys. I finally went to the front desk and found 3 ladies just standing there talking. They didn't address me so I finally asked for help. They didn't ask what I wanted because they knew all ready. One of them grabbed the keys, went and pulled 2 cans out without talking to me and went right back into the store. Worst customer service I've had in a long time. I won't be back. read more

It's also interesting that there's no ability to leave feedback directly on the Lowes website. As you already can tell, I had a horrible experience with pickup at the Conroe Texas Lowes today, November 03 2024 To summarize: 1. The system indicated product (Ego battery) availability for pickup in 3 hours; 2. At the store I got conflicting information a) pro-desk indicated out of stock, suggested checking with pickup; b) at pickup, I did mention that the pro-desk said they were out of stock, Jewels assured me that they had 3 in stock but said it would be about another hour before my order would be ready 3. About an hour later I got notification that my order was delayed because the store didn't have any stock; 4. Employee attitude at the pickup desk was horrible. Jewels should not be customer facing. In my initial interaction with her she seemed aggravated that I was there with questions before I'd gotten a notification that my order was ready, and after I got the notification saying they didn't have any stock she didn't look happy to see me, and offered no explanations for why she had told me they had stock, and offered no apologies for giving me bad information or wasting an hour of my time 5. I had additional problems with the Lowe's app when it gave me the option to pickup the product at a different store (40 min away) a) the system showed the product was available; b) when I arrived, the system said pickup scheduled for tomorrow, so I left, 30 minutes later, I got a notice saying the order was ready for pickup! Clearly there are problems with their systems, but I think it is the poor customer service at Conroe that bothers me the most. read more

A complete lack of communication and knowledge of staff on delivery. I will never order or shop from this Lowe's again. I ordered an oven and on day of delivery the delivery window was missed. After calling the store I had to talk to three different associates none of them could answer why it wasn't delivered of when it would be. Was finally told "something happened" and nothing shipped that day, and that it would be scheduled for "first thing" the next day. Next day comes and no delivery. I get run around again when I called, eventually had to go to the store. Where I was again told tomorrow. The lack of communication about changes is unacceptable and unprofessional. One time can be forgiven as a fluke. But repeatedly means I can't recommend this store. read more

I gave Lowe's another chance after taking all my business to Home Depot. I read years ago that Lowe's was outpacing Home Depot with better service and prices. Wei the years since have not been kind to Lowe's. I had just bought plants and raised=bed soil at Home Depot, $68.00. Almost identical items at Lowe's, $101. I got there at 8:30 (they open at 6:00). When trying to check out the clerk told me I'd have to wait... she had to put plastic liners in all the trash cans. Only 6 minutes but it's my 6 minutes and I didn't appreciate having to wait. Prices and service? Not so much. The parking lot was emptier than Home Depot, that was nice. read more

Used curbside for the first time; waited almost 15 minutes then finally went inside. I figured there was a snafu somewhere in the communication because I was the only one waiting in curbside and I was texted my order was ready. Well, a very nice young man ultimately brings out the mulch but it's sopping wet.. excellent. And the only other item I bought was a cheap little hummingbird feeder and of course when I get home I notice it's missing a feeding flower. Awesome... And for the last couple years I'll tell you the garden dept staff is forever elusive, the plants only look nice when they are brand new (hmm perhaps these two go hand in hand) and I'm not sure I've ever experienced a friendly cashier out there. Poor customer service. I came back to Lowes to get a gallon of paint and was told there was a 15 minute wait which was understandable. After walking around the store I went back to pick up the paint and I looked at it to make sure it was ours and I noticed that the paint code was different. Because I'm painting a door, I wanted to make sure it was the exact same one so I asked the customer service associate if it was the same color-she sarcastically made a remark well can't you tell? My boyfriend told her the codes were different and she explained that it was because it was a different size. I told her that we were painting a door so we wanna make sure it's the same is all-she replied back "excuse me" as if I insulted her. There's was no need for attitude. The associate's name was Kay. People do at home projects all the time and need the exact same paint-it's better safe than sorry. I don't know if she was just having a bad day but there was absolutely no need for attitude when none was given in the first place. read more

Poor customer service especially by a Lowe's employee name "Eli" in the returns Dept. I was purchasing gift cards & waited about 20 minutes for a supervisor to override the system for the one servicing me. Then there was a problem w/ the computer. "ELI" (not even the one helping me) concluded that it was my lowes credit card that was the problem. I told her I just purchased a couple gift cards recently & & that my card wasn't the issue & then she spoke pointedly to me accusing me of screaming at her & that she knew what she was doing bc she has been doing her job for 10 years. I told her just because I spoke to her in a confident manner doesn't mean I was screaming. 45 minutes later after pleading with them to please try again on a different register, my Lowe's card worked, as expected. I bought a samsung 5.4 top load washer on 6/2/2020 and got the 3 year extended warranty..by September 2021 it started throwing codes. November it was wobbling and would cut off ... I called lowes warranty and they set up an apppt for d3 services to come out 11/26.. no. one ever came! I call lowes and they set up another appt w the same company to come 11/30 .. by 4:15 no one had came so I called d3 service and they took it upon their self to reschedule for 12/3. no one came.. I called lowes 12/5 and getting the rin around.. my washer still doesn't work and they're saying 6 days to find a new company to come out here! I'll never shop lowes again! We hired Lowe's to install 29 new Pella windows in our home in February 2023. This is the first freeze/cold front we have experienced since getting them. It is now January 2024 and we can definitely feel a difference in our home! The windows are 100% the difference! We highly recommend purchasing new windows through Lowe's! Came here to get tiles for a backsplash and they only had 2 boxes on the floor shelf of the kind we wanted to buy. We asked an employee to see if they had more in stock, they said they had over 400 of them they just had to find them. After helping them search for 40 minutes they claimed they couldn't find them and told us we would have to go to a different location to buy the tiles even though they were in the store somewhere. Later came back because we had someone from Lowe's measure our kitchen to give us a quote on the backsplash installation. On the phone they said come in any time to review the quote with them and schedule everything. We showed up a day later and no one at the store could help us claiming only one employee who was out knew how to pull up our quote. Ridiculous. Not only could they not tell us the hours we should come in to review the quote, once we get there every employee is incompetent and doesn't even know what we are talking about. The plant selection outside involves mostly dead or dying stuff so I would skip that. The garden dept employees also wantonly spray things on customers as they try to shop. I got squirted by the old lady trying to water flowers, about ten feet away, and she at least called out a lazy Nova Scotian's "sorry" but still that sorry wouldn't have meant much if I was wearing my nice clothes and suede shoes instead of the gentlesir's basketball shorts and lager stained Red Sox t-shirt. Fortunately I realized in advance this was Lowe's and not the Red Lobster so I was not dressed to impress. But still. Not a great way to do business by squirting your customers with water, unless they look like they were hurtin' for a squirtin' in every sense of the word. Inside the store proper, which is several to many degrees cooler than the garden dept outside of course, many entire aisles are carelessly thrown together. Perhaps it was the visual merchandising team's idea of funsies or maybe it was just slackjawed yokels named Cletus that pick up all of the vacuum bags from the vacuum bag aisle and drop them off in the light bulb aisle for some reason because that is the first place you SHOULD go for that sort of purchase. Generally speaking this store is a hot mess express while you are shopping but once you finally hit the register their employees working the registers are the high point of the experience. They have all been extremely friendly and proactive on providing solutions if a certain item rings up incorrectly or has no price sticker etc. since Cletus the local slackjawed yokel gnawed it off with his one good tooth, or removed it and stuck it on his butt as a joke for his memefriends on the snapchats. Shopping at the Lowe's will by necessity march the Babadook out of the closet, so if you have an affinity for hats and drama, then come shop at the Lowe's in a fancy hat and you will have plenty of opportunity to be more than extra as you lose your temper at all of the "Lowe's situations" in the store until you finally reach the cashier and they figure out the rest as they calm you down. read more

Bought a refrigerator less than 2 weeks ago, it was delivered with 2 dents and scratches, water and ice don't work. Been on the phone for hours, the manufacturer is sending out a technician to see if he can fix, rather than replacing a new one. Lowe's refuses to do anything about delivering a dented refrigerator because it was over 48 hrs since delivery when I called. Do yourself a favor and go to Home Depot or somewhere else. read more

Called everyone possible about getting it canceled and replaced but No one in the whole Lowes corporation knows how to cancel store credit and reissue it. In the process of suing them for 237.07. So let me start out by saying that the purchase I originally made was not done at this Lowe's. I purchased a washer from the Lowe's in Tomball. They delivered it and we realized the spin cycle didn't work, we tried everything and then went to the Lowe's in Tomball to exchange it. We were told the same washer was in stock and we would receive a replacement next day. We get a call later that night saying they are 650 back ordered from the factory. (How that mistake could have been made, is beyond me) We called and called trying to scramble and figure out what we could do to get it replaced without buying a brand new washer outright and waiting 10 days for a refund. Mind you, my girlfriend is an RN, working on a Covid floor at the moment, so as you can imagine, a washer is of very very high importance to us. No call back from Lowe's in Tomball. Fast forward- I called Lowe's in College park, Johnny in appliances took the phone, he heard me out and understood why I was desperate. He worked for days to find me a washer that was in stock, calling me, sending me item numbers until I was satisfied. Every bump in the road, whether it I was out of our price range or it was out of stock, he continued to plug in just to help me ON A WASHER HE DIDN'T EVEN SELL ME. He told me that he found one that was about 100 bucks more than I paid for mine but his store manager, Jeremiah approved it and we would send it out NEXT DAY. His customer service blew me away and I could tell he honestly cared about the fact that we were essential workers who needed a washer ASAP. Lowe's is lucky to have Johnny and Jeremiah, they helped me more than anyone can understand. The new washer came in and it's beautiful and works amazing. Go see them. They will forever have my business. And still.. no call back from Lowe's Tomball. read more

As I pull up to the outdoor center to pay for over $300 of seed I have to wait as the cashier puts away her make up case. As I'm finally rung up I ask if I can use my veterans discount. I don't get why they would add "Please stand here" stickers during covid 19 if they aren't even going to be looking for people to help standing in those spots. I came by the other day to return a couple of items and was in what I would call the line for Returns and Deliveries. They had one employee working both areas, and he was answering phones too. He seemed overworked whereas everyone else in the store is literally running away from you. Anyways, I was patiently waiting in the closest square labeled "Please wait here" as he was helping a customer. I notice about 5 minutes later this new customer from the front the store and is now closest to the register. No "please wait here" on his side (which is more inside the store). Turns out he was there to pick up a delivery. Unless I'm mistaken, shouldn't he have been in the same line as me? I'll be damned if the cashier helps the newer guy who hasn't been waiting as long. I spoke up about it and got an apology but seriously; what's the point of those markers if the employees don't know to look for customers there? Had a horrible experience where their printer in millwork was down and they didn't give me the proper pick up receipt for a door I bought but was picking up later. When my contractor showed up to pick up the door with the receipts they provided... they wouldn't give it to him. After a couple hours on the phone and much of my time wasted, they finally checked the video and allowed us to pick the door up. First time I got an email saying the order was would be in 7/14/2021. I went to the store and no one could find it. Then I get a text saying the order was in on 7/30/2021. I go in and no one could find it. I was told to wait for another text. Got the text today 8/2/2021 and went to the store. Again they could not find my order. After I realized that the I had spend more than an hour waiting for this order and waiting another 10 minutes today, I asked the clerk to cancel it. Absolutely no customer service. Bought a special order of tile edging and did not need 5 pieces. Called to ask if I could return it, said that I was past the 90 days and could not return. I asked for a store credit, was told no way. Person on phone suggested that I try to return the edging to the manufacturer. What??? Also said not sure if the product was mine because my contractor ordered the product. Actually accused me of not owning the edging. I'll use Home Depot from now on. Lowes is off my list of any building supplies. Maybe hire some real customer service people that understand that without customers you are not in business. read more

I shop here all the time and starting to feel compelled to go to their (orange) competitor. Customer service is spotty - it seems it requires a manager to get answers to regular questions (depends on the associate you get - training is either not happening or is inconsistent). Several associates have said recently the veteran's discount is ALWAYS available (10% off) but thst is not the case (only available during Veterans day and July 4th I think). I ordered a clearance item online recently; paid for it and went to pick it up at the store. It was a set of ramps for my truck. The associate handed me ONE ramp (really!?!?) not thinking anything about it. After telling them the obvious problem, they scoured the store and couldnt find its pair. Oh well - I got the refund but wasted an hour+ of my time. Lame sauce. read more

Well it's not the worst but not the best...it's Lowes. Upon driving up to the spacious parking (usually always spacious because it's never that busy), you find a nice looking Lowes tucked away in the trees, as all things in the Woodlands are. The store is relatively well organized, but definitely arranged a bit different than a Home Depot. I come here only for convenience, as it's much closer to my house. Usually a "run in and run out" sort of visit, or if we happen to have paint that was purchased here... My usual "go to" home improvement place is HD, as I find the service better...but this is about Lowes. Service here just isn't very helpful. Rarely do you find anyone that seems to genuinely care about what you're looking for, or even knows what you need. Also...beware the "helpful" folks in the grayish or beige vests...these are typically high pressure sales folks hawking something or some kind of service. They're a pain. Lowes feels more like walking into a nice "vacation rental" place and being attacked with a pitch to buy a time share. Did I mention this place was convenient? As far as the store, it's generally well organized and usually has what I need - unless you're looking for a Febco sprinkler poppet valve...but I digress. In general I have no complaints about the store. It's just the people who seem miserable at work. read more

Not up to par regarding customer service. We rented a carpet cleaner (with great difficulty I might add!) and left a cleaning deposit. No directions, they just rolled one out and gave it to us. Finished using it, cleaned the tanks, wiped down the exterior, and it was in better shape than when it was received. I joke you not, when we returned it they turned it upside down to check the brush head and found dust/dirt. No deposit return because the unit was "dirty". I'm a pretty considerate customer and certainly would have complied IF I was directed to dismantle and clean the unit. In my opinion, they would have found anything not to return the deposit... It was blatantly obvious. Amazingly, two weeks ago I was there and watched a person of a different ethnicity return a rental and the customer service desk did not even look at it. Shameful and speaks volumes about the Lowe's Ch isomer service culture. A new low for customer service in 2017... Find a different location or retailer...#HOMEDEPOT. read more
