I have used this Lowe's a number of times since recently returning to this area. Several of the associates have been extremely helpful, going out of their way to assist in finding items. The last two who assisted are veterans. Great men and the kind of employees I hope Lowe's values. I have had such a horrible experience with Lowe's for about the last 3 months. They literally shipped me (knowingly) the wrong Hardlie siding. I ordered a large quantity and on arrival it looked right. When works came and broke the "strap" they found the textured was literally set on top of 5 stacks of smooth, misleading! Today I decided we would pickup this time 60 pieces. Looking at the stack nearly everyone of the piece on the front we smashed in what appeared to be an accident with a forklift. The pieces we needed were behind the trash in stacks of 25. Having had surgery I figured they would use the forklift and bring to the trailer-- nope-- FYI the forklift was 10ft from the siding. They told my wife and I they could not get it down the aisle (we looked at each other and laughed). Having had surgery on the 7th out help was ready to load it but the 2 store hands (not friendly) decided to pull the planks 1 by 1... wow. These 2 spotlight (with a burnt out bulb employees) were back at the counter as they see me pay. The cashier tells them I checked out. I asked if they could open the big door (where they parked my material). What a bunch of assholes, they started helping another customers. I ask if they could open the door and I would load it. The guy asked if I paid!! What the f! You saw me, the cashier told you I was ready to be loaded and you for some ass backwards reason you dont think I paid. I showed the receipt and it was like I shit in his hand! Sick of these stores hiring dicks! I am done with the big box pricks treating us like they can go without! Not going back for shit! we ordered a surface electric stove top from Lowe's on 11/10/2024 and it was somehow returned without our knowledge and we had to go back to lowes to order another one on 1/4/2025 and the order did arrive by 1/20/2025 at our house and we waited until today, 2/13/2025 to have the installations done. When the installation guys came, though we already paid for measuring fees and installation fees at Lowe's, they charged an extra 200 dollars for fitting fee even though they measured the area before the installation date, and do not recommend this company, as it took so long to get the job done. read more

I am very disappointed with Lowes for this last week. I have been going back and forth trying to get the right rug for my living room. Today , I went to exchange a rug with no issue, but as I asked for assistance (being a disabled veteran with back and knee issues) I could not carry a 8x10 100lb rug by myself. I looked for large carrying carts; but none were available and the rug selection was blocked off with overstock. Tried ordering a refrigerator and gas stove (that claimed to be "In Stock") from there online for my mom, everything was set to purchase and be delivered on the 27th but to be sure, I called first before purchasing because I wanted to know about the 3rd party installation set up. TO BE CLEAR, the website said this location mentioned both items being available for both pickup and delivery and the delivery option provided the 26th if I wanted it. In my cart were the two appliances, the delivery fee, the required hoses for both, taxes and two haul away fees and the Lowe's website allowed me to choose the 27th for delivery instead of the 26th, which was when it said it would FIRST be available for delivery. Something told me to call first... Anyhow, the lady I spoke to asked for the item number of the stove so she could check what installation was needed first. She said the stove wasn't even available. I said, are you sure? Yes. She asked for the refrigerator item number as well and sure enough, that item wasn't available either! She put me on hold and spoke with a manager to make sure. She came back and repeated the same thing. She said the refrigerator didn't really need installation (unless you have copper and they wouldn't install it) but the stove could be $20ish to hook up the gas line but each store was different. But back to the appliances. Told me not the buy the appliances as they weren't not available. She told me it was a lie that the items I wanted and were about to purchase online were available (for that date or ANY DATE) and actually weren't available AT ALL at the store and she wasn't sure why the store was listing those items as available for purchase or delivery. Sure enough, I called the number again (automated) and they texted me a URL to where I could find these appliances (nowhere near). I called the store again (directly) to get a second opinion and gave them the item numbers and those items are not in stock at that store and they have no idea when it would even be available. I spoke to a rep and asked why you all would allow customers to order appliances online and it clearly states that the items were available for both pickup AND delivery and you all were willing to charge me a delivery fee, the hoses that came with the oven and refrigerator but you don't even have the products in the store. They proceeded to up-sale me on a commercial stove instead and a more expensive refrigerator without answering my question. NOT. After seeing so many others complaining about not receiving their appliances for delivery and not being told about it, I'm glad I didn't go through with the purchase. Ridiculous. The two people manning the service desks in the Kitchen Center were both playing games, one on their phone, and the other on the large computer screen. Both purposely ignored me as a customer, and only made eye contact when I asked them for some assistance. After a grunt, the woman took out a wire ring notebook and told me I needed an appointment. Big box stores aren't always well known for their excellent service, but today Zee at this Lowe's went above and beyond. It was towards the end of the day, on the day before Labor Day, so I know all of the employees were tired (and probably tired of "peopling"). I know I was exhausted, because my boyfriend and I had already been to 2 Home Depot stores and were doing a price comparison with Lowe's. Not only did Zee straighten out the delivery question (some employees were saying that there was a delivery charge for riding mowers), but she made sure we got the military discount (boyfriend and I are both military retirees), AND she did it all with a smile! She was personable and professional, and I left with a good deal and a GREAT respect for Zee! Whatever position she holds right now, you should consider promoting her! I've only been here to shop for small things - nails, screws, paint, etc. I haven't at all had a bad experience here. The representatives I've experienced have been friendly and have always helped me with any inquires I may have. By no means have I been blown away by this location. I purchased 3 ge 6k btu window air conditioners and each one failed within 1 week. It was 6 weeks later when i went to return them. They would not accept the returns because it was outside the 30 day return window. The asst manager George insisted it was not possible to override the policy and instructed me to call GE. There is no phone number in the package or that I can find online. Its not worth the hassle to try to deal with GE support website, and I have even less expectation to be made whole by GE than by Lowes. End of days for me and Lowes and their grumpy staff. I realize that Lowe's has issues hiring and keeping good help, but perhaps if they got management that knew how to train people they would do better. Today my wife and I were loading pavers, while at the same time two employees were trying to shut down an aisle to use the forklift. They couldn't use the forklift until we were gone. 1. On 27 August 2021 I went to our local Lowe's ( store #0636), here in Columbus, GA to coordinate the new appliances for the remodeling of our kitchen; Refrigerator. Stove. Dishwasher and washing machine and dryer. The items were identified. This evening I went to lowed as I needed a piece of crown molding, a package of screws and a floor strip to cover the wires for my surround sound system I just had installed in our home. The time was 930 pm so I quickly showed my wife the remodeling appliances which was 10 minutes or so and the store closes at 10 pm. We then proceeded to get the crown molding and were looking for a few screws which I had just placed in the cart and then going to get the floor strip which were a couple isles over. At 10;03 pm an employee approached us: said the store was now closed and we would have to come back tomorrow, I said I have been looking for help for 15 minutes on the crown molding and couldn't find any assistance. I have the screws I need and just needed the floor strip which was a few isles over and actually on the way to customer service (which still had registers open and we would check out immediately. The next thing was absolutely unbelievable. She took physical control of our cart: said we would have to come back tomorrow. I told her to please give the cart back and I went to the cart: placed my hands on the front of it and said we are leaving now, I know its late and you probably want to go home. I understand that. .She then said I don't give a "####" I'm here until 11 pm anyway. I was speechless: she had a shirt on referring to God and I am a n active Christian in my community. I was floored by her attitude. comments and actions. I I have severe depression, PTSD, reticently diagnosed with Asthma and COPD which is service related from exposure to depleted uranium and burn Pitts so I an extremely high risk for COVID. Which is another reason we shop when few people are out. I was in the Emergency room then admitted to the ICU reticently as well last night was the first night I had slept in 48 hrs so we were a little late getting to the places we needed to go today. Also reticently diagnosed and treated for cancer which is also service connected for the same environmental situations and currently being treated at the John Amos Cancer center here in Columbus. It is very difficult for me to go places, stores, etc.. for the above during the day, ( I am a 23 year combat veteran and I do struggle with crowds given that on one of my deployments a young man in Afghanistan approached my team, even after being warned to stay where he was and detonated an IED killing four soldiers and my interpreter on my team, I was a combat medic and one died in your not knowing his legs were gone. I just cant get use to being around crowds as hard as i try.. I have no expectation anyone would know this, the only reason I mention this is because my wife will take me to the stores in the evening when there are few people. Know one in the store knew this and I am aware of that. We didnt even get the strip which literally was 20 feet from us on our way to customer r service. On the way to the front of the store. I seen an employee and expressed what had just happened and just by chance the assistant store manager happened to here this and then got evolved. I want to say he is exactly what every store needs as a supervisor, He said can you show me who this is and I said yes, He gave a descriptions we walked to where I saw her last and he gave a description of who it could be which seemed to indicate he had a good idea of whom it was. I pointed the person out, he lead me to the register. I emphasized my frustration and he said " shes the best cashier I have." I understand his confliction however I did say I have had over 200 soldiers under me at one time and some are so good at what they do they know they can get away with things others may not be able to so I understood him. I just want to say that when people shop or go to dinner or receive some sort of service, often if there just treated nice and respectfully they often will be life long customers, even if the "product," is marginal which by no means lowe's is so please dont misunderstand. They remember the experience regardless of how good a cashier she is. It is very difficult to measure the metric of lost business from being treated so poorly, If I had to make an educated guess based on this experience we are not the first nor the last. Given the climate in the work force currently there are some good paying jobs out there currently and employers are having trouble filling them. I wanted to write a review because I saw several negative reviews that dealt specifically with the delivery offered by Lowe's. I purchased a washer and dryer combo on Monday and arranged for the earliest delivery on Sunday. They called Sunday afternoon to confirm delivery between 4:00 and 5:00. They arrived at about 5:20. One guy disconnected my old machines while the other unboxed my new machines. Sadly, the washer was dented. So......he said he would get another washer and deliver the following day, which would be Monday. This is where things started to get interesting. I realized that I really needed the dryer, as that's what was no longer working with my old appliances. I called the delivery guys and asked if it was possible for them to install the new dryer.....I had to leave as soon as they arrived to take my nephew to work. The delivery man said they had already left my house, but would deliver tomorrow. I figured one more day wouldn't make a big difference. So......Monday I waited. My husband decided to get involved and called Lowe's late that morning. He was told that there were no washers in stock, and that delivery would not happen for another week. Oh, heck no! I cannot go for two weeks without a dryer! Hanging clothes to dry is okay for a temporary fix.... So I called Lowe's. I attempted to call Lowe's. I was lost in loop on their phone system. I would press 5 for the departments, then press 1 for delivery. It would attempt to connect me, then bring me back to the main menu. Press 5, then 1. Or.....press 0 for the operator, and let the phone ring and ring....then go back to the main menu. This went on for over 10 minutes. I decided to call back later. When I did get the delivery department of Lowe's, the woman explained there were no washing machines. I asked if I could have the dryer delivered sooner, as that's what I really needed. She told me that she had removed the dryer from the delivery list, as my husband had told her that it had already been delivered!!!! I asked her if her paperwork showed it had been delivered, as I did NOT have a new dryer. Once we agreed that I did not have a dryer, I asked if the dryer I paid for a week ago could be delivered. Not today, she said. Then she looked and the following day was filled with deliveries. So Wednesday was the earliest I could hope for my dryer to be delivered. At this point I asked to speak to the manager. She said the manager was not available, but I could speak to the assistant manager. I agreed to speak to the assistant manager. After about 15 minutes on hold, Claire came on the line. I explained my position, and the fact that I would be waiting for two weeks for my washer and dryer combination to be delivered. She was very understanding. She had researched my problem from what the delivery person had told her, and she found that a shipment of washers was due the next day! If this shipment included my washer, I could have delivery as early as Wednesday....in two days. Claire was able to get me calmed down, and I was satisfied when we concluded the call. Today....Tuesday...I received a call from Lowe's. They will deliver my new washer and dryer tomorrow. No promise on the time of delivery. They are to call in the morning and arrange a time. If delivery happens tomorrow, I will be a happy camper. The bottom line of this story is that the management at Lowe's addressed my needs. Yes, there was a problem. Yes, the problem has been resolved to my satisfaction. I do believe the management at Lowe's was responsive to my issue, and have made me a satisfied customer. read more

I went in today to buy $2500 worth of materials for a privacy fence. I called before I went to make sure they had everything I needed and was assured they did. I needed 70 treated 2x4x8 but could only find a handful that were even useable, they were either warped or split. After waiting 20 minutes for an employee to show up to ask if they possibly had more hr left to "go check" and never came back. I ordered a refrigerator from Lowes to be delivered today between 11 and 3. Got a call at 10:32 and was told they would be here in 40 minutes. Two hours later, I tried calling the same number back and got voice mail. At 2:21 I called customer service and was told someone from delivery would call me immediately. At 3:02 I called customer service back. After spending about ten minutes on hold and having a 20 minute conversation about why someone couldn't communicate with me, I was told that the delivery people had left me a voicemail that there would be a two hour delay. But there was no voicemail. Except when I hung up there WAS a voicemail telling that there was a two hour delay. It was left WHILE I was talking to customer service. Just to be clear, this voicemail was left 4 hours after they said they would be there and 30 minutes after the promised delivery window. It is freaking BIZARRE that a company like this refuses to communicate with their customers. I can work with anyone that will COMMUNICATE. If I was not desperate for a refrigerator, I would cancel this order. But NEVER again Lowes. Its 2023 and you act like its 1985. Even the voicemail was not left as an honest attempt at keeping a customer informed. It was left because I had called customer service twice insisting that someone communicate with me. How can you not complete a one item order in seven hours? I purchased a grill online and was told that I could pick it up the same day. I understand that you must wait for the email stating when your order is complete; but, it was seven hours later. Since I was already in the store, I thought I would just pull the grill and take it to the counter my self. The grill was not in store as promised. This is not the bad part. While searching for the grill in store, I was followed and stalked. The employees were rude and disrespectful, even the employees could not locate the grill. I visited Lowe's on 8/9/20 and purchased two items on sale. Upon check out, I was informed that the military discount now does not apply to sale items. Military members you now see that Lowe's is putting out fake advertising to only get you in the store for your business. I have been in sales for over 20 years. I was inside the lowes store and paid for a delivery. There were some miscommunications and my delivery was not made until a later date. I went into the store and spoke with one of the leaders there - Stacia. I was quite unhappy but spoke reasonably to her to lay out my position on the matter. She listened without interruption and then explained her position on the matter and why the delivery was not made. I had never considered fraud as a possible reason for not making a delivery to me since I went into the store to pay and setup the delivery. When I finally did get the delivery, the driver was awesome. Stacia exceeded my expectations in listening and then resolving the matter. She gets all 5 stars!!! read more

I rented a carpet cleaner without any issues. But when I returned it the following morning, it was another story. The first young lady that helped me, looked under the cleaner and said it was clean. Well, another older lady looked also and said there were dust in between the bristles and I wasn't going to be able to get my deposit back. I asked if I could try to clean it better & I pulled it to the side and started scraping in between the bristles with my nail. So when I brought it back to the counter, a difference older lady was called to inspect it and suggested I may need to hose it down at the garden center. So I wheeled it to the garden center and the first young lady was there to turn on the water & helped hold the wand while I rubbed said dust between the bristles. So after all of that, I was able to get my $29.99 deposit credited to my card. I know for a fact that the carpet cleaner was soo much cleaner than when I received it. Our three year old was with us so we looked for a cart to put her in. No kids steering wheel carts were available. We looked for a regular cart, all of which were rusted, dirty, & if they even had a plastic plate for the child to sit in, it was cracked so it would pinch or cut a kid. Upon entry, traffic flow was immediately impeded due to displays taking up walkways. Product pallets were also left all over the aisles leaving customers to try to navigate around in already over crowded spaces. Throughout all of the madness, not one associate asked if we needed help, said hello, or even acknowledged our presence in the store. During a pandemic I would expect to see employees perhaps ignoring customers to keep the store clean, but instead employees were all busy talking to each other, not cleaning or helping customers. The store was filthy. We walked down the recessed lighting aisle where 4 employees were unloading a pallet blocking the aisle & walking back & forth in front of customers without apologizing or asking to help customers. The product I wanted was next to the pallet but behind ladders that employees were using. Instead of asking me if I needed help, the employee proceeded to throw three boxes past my head. At which point I decided I would buy my light elsewhere. We went to self checkout to purchase the a washing machine hose where my husband was told by the associate that military discounts where not available in self checkout. This was strange to us as in all the other Lowe's we have been to all across the country, the military discount could always be applied in self checkout without issue. My boyfriend and I went to Lowe's last week on a Thursday to purchase a washer and dryer. (This is during the Covid-19 pandemic...this will be useful later) The store was operating as usual and customers were in and out as they please. We paid, set up delivery date and time for Monday. No problems and no restrictions. Delivery and set up is free. Fast forward today. My boyfriend gets a call to cancel the delivery set for today because 3 drivers called out. Ok no problem, so I thought. Employee stated the earliest date would next Saturday! Unacceptable! So she states she will fit us in the next day, Tuesday but, the driver will not bring in the washer and dryer due to what's going on! What!? So you mean I have to bring my own items in my house and set it up because you as a company can't protect your drivers adequately. Your drivers can't deliver because of the virus but your store is open with possibly sick customers in and out at random. If you didn't want your drivers at risk, don't offer delivery and close the store so your other workers aren't at risk either. So much for curbside pickup. I've been waiting for more than 40 minutes for them to bring out my order. Every time I call in, they say they are going to get an associate to bring it out and they hang up on me. I am disabled, on crutches, so I can can't just walk into the store. Worst Lowe's ever! Go to home Depot. I Ordered a washer and dryer with delivery and hookup. it was scheduled for delivery and hook up a week later being the 3rd of June 2018. The day it arrived, the delivery crew hooked up the washer and dryer and said it was "all good to go.". started reading the User manual, come to find out, they didn't hook up either washer or dryer correctly and it was missing hoses and parts that was supposed to come with it. No big deal, things happen. so we called and said that we were missing parts and told them what they were- after about 2 hours of installment, noticed the washer door was damaged and the dryer had a hole in the drum. called again and the manager asked what did we want to do? I said replace both for the money we spent. a second delivery was scheduled for the 10th of June. also on the 6th of June the delivery crew arrived with the correct parts. I received a call on Friday from "Robert" stating the delivery would be for Sunday to replace both washer and dryer. I called Saturday to confirm they were still in stock and everything is in order. I was told "Yes." Sunday arrives (10 june) and we received a call that our washer and dryer was sold and they would have to reschedule. little upset i said fine. new deliver and swap-out was now on the 17th of June. through out the week, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, I called to confirm and was continuously re-assured by two different managers and multiple workers that it will be delivered. 17th roles up and received a call from the delivery crew that they "have our washer"... I asked what happened to the dryer? the reply was, "we only have the washer and no dryer was scheduled.". at this point, im actually upset. called Lowes and spoke with a manager and He stated " he didn't know about the dryer.". excuses and more excuses. after 45 min on the phone, he found the order on his computer. I said I wanted them delivered at the same time. So he scheduled the next day (18 June). today got a call and come to find out the washer fell off of the delivery truck and broke... I said if both are not deliver by the 19th, Lowes corporate will receive a call and then the Attorney General of Georgia. received a call this evening stating both are for delivery tomorrow the 19th. Never been soo pissed off at a store. One way or another, this will be resolved. smh read more
