My wife and I went to Lowes in Chamblee today to order an oven and stove. We waited about 20 minutes for the sales people sitting at their desk to finish what appeared to be a long phone call that involved four employees at one point. This may have been some sort of emergency or protected phone discussion, but someone could have at least acknowledged our presence and indicated they would be with us at some point. We felt completely ignored, finally got tired of waiting, and went to Home Depot to order the appliances. They were a bit more expensive at HD, but the service was prompt and professional. read more

I purchased a weed and feed product from this store and it killed my lawn in a week. When I went back to the store, the manager,Don, said the store was not responsible but I was because I had purchased the item. Basically, buyer beware and it was my fault. No apology, no offer of a refund, not even any advice on what I could do to fix my lawn. If this Don can become a manager with that kind of attitude it's no wonder that customer service at this store is almost nonexistent. This used to be a good store but no longer. The prices maybe better than Home Depot, but I would rather go there and pay a little more to get a top quality product and good customer service. How on EARTH did I not write a review of Lowe's in Chamblee?!?!? I don't even know where to begin, but I'll give it a shot! Coming from California, we did not have Lowe's until not too long ago. I can also remember the first time I saw a Wal-Mart! Anyways, back to Lowe's! Store Location - Easy Breezy to get in and out of, whether coming on Ashford Dunwoody or Peachtree. If they ever close this store, my anger monkey will be coming out! Venue Image - Always clean, from every department, everything always seems to be in it's place. I have yet to find something that I bought in the wrong place, and priced wrong. The outdoor garden section is great, from shaded plants to those that require sun. Indoor plant selection is orchids to a variety of greenery. Lowe's are always cleaner then Home Depot. I understand Home Depot is contractor targeted but not for me anymore. Product variety is great, whether you need something in a lower price range or going on up, you can find it at Lowe's. An example is variety in Grills to select from. Now this is where this particular Lowe's blows out all of the competition, . that could even be my slogan. I bought a grill when I moved here in 2010, a Master Forge, if I recollect. My budget was much but after my previous moved down from Chicago, the snow weather caught up to the grill. My replacement grill that I bought in 2010 did not weather well. I had it covered whenever not in use, cleaned after each use but it eroded horribly. While at the store, the manager working, Diane, asked if I needed help. We explained how after just over a year and a month my grill was no longer usable, nor safe. Diane attentively listened to my concerns and asked if I had my receipt. I knew I had it somewhere in my house, but it would take a while. She asked me if I had the credit card statement as the cc attached for a refund would already have fallen out of the system. I returned back a few days later with the old grill and they gave me a FULL REFUND! They helped me pick out a much better. It was a bit more costly but Diane new her stuff and I was confident, it was the one! Come time for my grill to have arrived, I was called by Erik to pick it up. Unfortunately it was not ready. He apologized profusely for calling and it being opened and found to be damaged in shipment. Erik gave me 10% off my new grill, a free cover, and free delivery by one of his actual store employees! WOW! Wow! I didn't inquire for a discount but he wanted to go above and beyond to keep me loyal. Stained my deck a few weeks later, Diane called another store where she knew an expert was working in the stain department. She handed me the phone and I selected the perfect product for where my deck is located. I revamped my garage, shelving from the ceiling, floor redone, walls redone, cabinetry, all purchased at Lowe's. Don't forget, buy on Lowes.com and quick and easy pickup in store! When I go to Lowe's, the return process is easy, hand them the card you purchased with. I am excited to start using MyLowe's to help keep track of what I bought, paint colors, etc. I would not consider visiting any other Lowe's, the customer service team, Eric and Diane, do an outstanding job. To say they exceed my expectations is an understatement. Lowe's Chamblee (not just any Lowe's) is a must for your home improvement needs. Knowledgeable people ready and willing to assist! I am still in awe how they went above and beyond. One long review on Yelp but incredible interactions. Navigating this store isn't exactly intuitive and selection doesn't seem to be as expansion be as others. However, we had a great experience with a super helpful sales associate Steve Valley. He approached us bc we looked lost (bc we were). We were looking for water filters for our fridge and couldn't figure out the appropriate model number. Thanks to Steve, we found what we were looking for and were quickly in our way. He could've pointed us to the products and walked away but we appreciated him taking the extra step to verify that we got exactly what we needed. Thank you for an efficient visit, Steve! read more

Recently moved to ATL, renting til we decide where to buy. Landlords put a beautiful new Samsung fridge in the rental and bought the 5-year warranty. Unit failed a week ago today, on a Saturday. Kitchen awash in melted ice and soured ice cream, fridge smells like overly warm bbq...ugh. Lowe's can't get a repair tech out on a weekend. Lowe's can't get a repair tech out on Monday. Lowe's can't get a tech until Wednesday, except then Lowe's can't even get one then, so we are rescheduled for Friday. Landlords stay with the tech as I take my son out for the latest in this week's lunches out. I thought it odd that the tech showed up with no toolbox, no van with spare parts, no nothing. Just his car parked out in the driveway, with, as it turned out, his girlfriend/wife/sister/somebody sitting in the car with the engine running. Huh? Doesn't seem like he's planning to actually stay and, you know, FIX the unit... In the time it takes to drive 5 blocks, landlords are on the phone. Tech has to order a part (can't carry too many in the Camry). It will take ANOTHER WEEK to fix this. That's ok--MY DIABETIC WIFE CAN CONTINUE TO STORE HER INSULIN IN AN IGLOO COOLER. Landlords did not CALL Lowe's. They DROVE to Lowe's and spoke to the manager. Manager said that Lowe's would get a loaner to us "first thing tomorrow morning" (that would be today). It is now after noon today, day 8 with no refrigerator. It is really amusing to see Lowe's spend millions on advertising to get high-income folks like me into their stores. It's especially amusing to see them run their big Memorial Day sales, again spending millions to get me to consider being their customer. You HAD me as a customer already. All you had to do was make a minimally reasonable attempt to honor the--very expensive, I'm sure--warranty that my landlords bought when they bought this unit. I would have been impressed as heck, and in the upcoming few years as we buy our new house and outfit, repair it, improve it, paint it, etc., I would likely be a Lowe's customer. I went by this morning and there weren't many staff members working. I bought some plant food, but when I went to the checkout, I explained that I pretty much kill all of my plants to the cashier. He was kind enough to call Herb over. Herb helped me find what I needed and I was easily able to return the things I found earlier. He was so knowledgeable about the PH levels needed for the plants, and I really appreciated his help...so did my flowers! Here's to not killing my plants! Thank you Herb! :) I would have given 5 starts if I could find someone working there walking around...I didn't see anyone that was an actual employee (other than the check out guy and the vendors restocking the plants). Lowe's has really gone downhill. There is absolutely no customer service. I have called the store and the CS 800 line no one ever answers.

My luck with big box hardware stores have always been mixed unless you find the few individuals who really know what they are doing and seek them out. I have yet to find a real pro at this store, and have had really bad service on several occasions from the sub-par associates. Some have been helpful, but I can read the box myself if that is all you know. Several times I went after work, 30-40 minutes before closing time and there have always been very long lines, with one or two checkers. One time, when there were a dozen people in line for the only open checker, I tried to use the self-service check out. It malfunctioned when I swiped my credit card and I had to wait 10 min for someone to come correct it. If I had not already entered my credit card I would have certainly left. Another problem that is worse at this store is that I have purchased 3 or 4 items that had pieces missing, likely do to shoplifting. I can only partially blame the store, but I check everything I buy there and the percentage of open boxes missing parts is much higher than at any other hardware store I have frequented. Check everything at this location. I am most upset about attempting to make a special order. I had spoken several time to Jason in mill work and asked him to call me if there were any problems. I was quite annoyed when the item was not available as promised after making a special trip to pick it up. After the phone rings dozens of times it automatically transfers to the operator, she was very snarky and not at all helpful, clearly she didn't care about the customer. Lowe's just installed my replacement Pella Lifestyle (wood) windows. The windows and the wood trim gets clad in aluminum so there is no maintenance needed. I had the interior wood pre painted in the color I selected. Everything came together as I hoped. My order included big tempered glass fixed windows as well as smaller double hung windows and Bay windows. The Lowe's installers, Imperial Installations, did a top notch job. I have stucco siding and the existing window had limited wood trim- "brick moulding" and a competitor window installer told me they could not clad the trim. But Lowe's installer did it and did it well. I have some terrace level windows that I will replace next year, and Pella / Lowe's will be my choice again. read more

I have been to this Lowe's numerous times and every single time, I wish I had gone to Home Depot. The customer service is unfriendly and unhelpful, if you can even find someone to help you in the first place. I am currently standing in the store with blinds that need to be cut (bc when we bought them, the lady refused to answer our questions and said they would be fine as is) and we've pressed the help button which calls for help twice and waited over 10 minutes. Horrible experience! The Lowe's web site currently advertises a "Buy More, Get More Bath Sale" rebate offer for bath times, 5 - 20% rebate. Online there's no description, or list of eligible bath items, so one might assume it's all bathroom stuff. In the local store, though, they have a list of 37 items that are supposedly eligible, but when you check into it, only 13 of the item numbers actually exist in the Lowe's computer system. Big sale: 3 tubs, 6 sinks/parts, 3 shower heads, and a handle. And all the "customer service" can tell me is to go check the rebate page which has nothing about this rebate program. We have spent a lot of time and money at this Lowe's since we moved to the area 3 years ago, but our most recent experience there will be our last. We ordered a new dryer online and added some lumber to the order. When the order arrived, some of the lumber was missing. Issues: 1. We spent over an hour trying to get through to someone at Lowe's. Each time we called (over several weeks), we were put on hold, transferred, put on hold again, only to be disconnected. Over our weeks of dealing with this issue, we had to go through these hoops and disconnects every single time. Not once were we successful in speaking with someone on our first, second, or even third tries. 2. When we finally spoke with someone we were told the items we didn't receive were discontinued and we asked for a refund on all of the lumber (lumber needed to be single-sourced for this project) and for someone to pick them up. 3. The scheduled pickup was the next morning. The company called late morning to reschedule to the afternoon, and then did not show. The company called that night, asking us to rate their service and we told them they never showed. A full day off of work, waiting at home for pickup was wasted. 4. Multiple calls spanning over an hour the next day to Lowe's to finally get a new pickup scheduled. Items were picked up as scheduled. 5. Forward a few days: We were not issued any refund, even on the discontinued items we never received. Due to the timing of the purchase, we received our Lowe's card bill with the full amount within a day or two after the pickup. 6. After multiple unsuccessful calls over an hour, we went up to the store and walked the customer service person through the issue and the items to be returned. The person said they would take care of it and would call us in a bit to confirm it had been processed. NO CALL. 7. After several calls the next day, we finally got through to the manager we had already spoken to several times. He did finally take care of the refund, as we walked him back through everything that needed to be refunded. 8. Due to the amount of time this took to resolve, we were hit with finance charges on our Lowe's card since we did not pay for the lumber that took us several weeks to get refunded to our card. 9. We are cancelling our card and changing our store of choice to a competitor. read more

I'm so frustrated with Lowe's Chamblee right now that I don't think I will return (aside from one final visit to (a) return some items and (b) online order pick up from locker that I placed yesterday and is still not ready. It's 2 small items by the way). I am sensitive to how the pandemic affected businesses and I am gracious and patient, but I reach my limit when there is a complete lack of customer service or even acknowledgement from staff (a very disgruntled appearing staff I might add). It just takes a small "thank you for waiting" or "we're short staffed today and will be with you as soon as we can" and that never happens here. The last 5-6 times I went to this store I waited at least 15-20 minutes for service at checkout or returns (gave up on getting staff help in the aisles a long time ago). There were no live cashiers open at 9:30AM on Sunday, only self checkout with only one overwhelmed staff addressing all of the scanner/machine issues. The time before that, very rude staff at returns and a 20 minute wait during my lunch break. Before that waited at paint counter 15 minutes before giving upS I started doing online pick up to avoid the wait, but I'm going to stop because I inevitability need to return things that don't fit or work for my home projects and I just don't have the patience to wait anymore. 3 stars because of COVID and you have solid products with reasonable prices. read more

TL;DR: We were told our order would be ready to go immediately, it wasn't. 16 Minutes later we were told our order was on the way out, it wasn't. 15 minutes later they stopped answering the phone. 16 minutes after that it was ready. I'm not angry it took forever, I'm angry that three separate employees either didn't know what was happening or lied about what was. Curbside pick up is exceptionally poorly run. After receiving an email that our order was ready, I called to confirm we could pick it up immediately because we had a limited time frame to grab our order. We were told it was ready and they could bring it out as soon as we arrived. We pulled in and called at 2:04PM (yes, I'm annoyed enough that I checked my call log to complain about this), they said it would be brought out right away. We called again at 2:20PM, they said it had been pulled and was on it's way out. We called again at 2:35PM, they didn't pick up, then again at 2:37PM, again they didn't pick up, so we had to leave. We got a call at 2:51PM asking where we were. Look, I get that this is a difficult situation and they're trying to make it work, but this level of dysfunction is Covid-19 independent. Three employees either lied or just didn't understand what was happening. That amount of confusion / misrepresentation isn't alright in any situation. We've used curbside pickup at Home Depot twice, both times they were waiting with our order ready to go, just sayin'. read more

Not sure why everyone's hating on Lowe's...I have to show them some love. This place isn't perfect, but I've never had anything but good experiences here. Love the garden center, and the rest of the box is a great place to kill time with the little guy. In truth, there have been plenty of times where it was hard to find someone to help me, but it's a big box store! My wife wants me to find someone and ask, but I'd rather walk around and find it myself, dammit. She and I both have always received good advice in the garden center from Aaron, and Eric the main shift manager has been kind to us when we've spoken to him. This is the last time I would purchase any appliances from Lowes. My problem is with the Chamblee store, in Atlanta. This may not be an issue at other stores, but I will not take a chance again.. On 05/23 we wanted to purchase a dishwasher, we were told that an installer had to come and verify that the dishwasher space and pluming are suitable. In spite of my assurances, they insisted and said the installer will be out in 48 hours. I paid the $35. The installer did not show up as expected, I called the store repeatedly, getting passed around and being put on hold for up to 20 minutes in many occasion. A week later, the installer called and came out. When I asked him, what took him a week, he told me he was given the wrong phone number and had eventually to call customer service to get the right number, I looked at his paper work and verified what he said. He promised to call the store and give them the report right away to speed things up. I called the store repeatedly over the next three days and they insisted that it was all computerized and that was the only way they would get the report and act. They promised to call me as soon as the report is received. A week almost passed and on Tuesday, June 04, I went to the store and spoke to a "manger" by the name on Manny. He listened to my compliment and promised to speed things up. He took me to Ralph in appliances and we placed the order. Ralph promised to flag it for immediate attention to the installer, he claimed he could not give me their name or phone number because " it is all computerized " and he did not have that information. I called the store numerous times for updates. On average, it took at least 3-4 attempts to even get someone to answer the phone and then endless cycles to get anyone from appliances on the phone, and when you do, they are the least helpful sales people I ever dealt with, they offer no assistance or solutions, they have memorized it is in the system and they keep repeating it. on Friday, June 7, the person who answered the phone at the store gave me an 800 number to call. I did and filed a complaint. They promised a store manager would reach out to me in 24 hours. The installer reached out to me, Friday night June 7. Same issue he was given the wrong number. We made arrangements for deliver and insulation Monday after noon at 3:00. By 4:00 I did not hear from him and called him. he claimed he was in Athens and on his way. An hour later, he called to say he ate a bad tuna fish sandwich and was sick and unable to make it. I insisted that deliver had to be firs thing in the morning. finally, the dishwasher was delivered and installed Tuesday June 11. That day a manager from the Store, Jarrod called to say he was looking into it, I told him he was too late. To be fair, he offered a $100 gift card for my trouble. In spite of that. I will not touch appliances at Lowes. read more

My online order was placed on November 3, 2022. Scheduled Delivery for November 6th between Noon and 4pm. Arrived around 3pm, DAMAGED by an object that did NOT belong to my machine. I sent the item back for an UNDAMAGED product. Rescheduled delivery window was 8am - 8pm on November 9, 2022. The window was narrowed down to 3:30pm thru 7:30pm. I received a call from the Driver that stated he was 15 minutes out, around 12:30 that afternoon. I stated that I needed more time to allow my husband to arrive from work. The Driver notified Dispatch and I was told the Driver would wait there until someone could arrive. Note - My window was not to be open until 3:30. When my husband arrived NO ONE was there, he waited around for over an hour and a half before having to return to work. Still NO Arrival! At 2:35 - I rec'd a text stating that my delivery team had arrived. I was directly on my phone trying to figure out what was happening. I was told the Product had been marked "Undeliverable" WARNING - DO NOT EVER DEAL WITH LOWE'S DELIVERY DEPARTMENT! I proceeded to call the store directly. The phone rang over a Dozen Times, someone picked up and rudely stated "Please Hold" I waited on hold for over an hour and a half when my phone finally hung up on the hold music. NOTE - I WAS NEVER CONTACTED AGAIN THAT DAY ABOUT MY DELIVERY : ( ** THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY COMMUNICATION WITH THE DELIVERY TEAM : ( ** As of today, I've canceled my Order and my Lowe's Credit Card. I went here twice to purchase a dishwasher, the first time no one helped me I had to ask how much installation was and he gave me a speel about having to come and check electrical and pipes to make sure everything works before I could buy (I am thinking well I have a working dishwasher now so why wouldn't everything work), so I left. I went back later that week to look again because I didn't care for brandsmart. This guy sang a different tune so I ended up buying a dishwasher with installation at over $800. He told me they were 2 weeks out on install so I have been waiting patiently, until the after 2 weeks mark and absolutely NO WORD on my dishwasher install from anyone at Lowes. I have been calling and cannot get anyone to give me answers. I am rudely put on hold for long periods of time and told they are either closed or busy. No one wants to help. So now I have spent over $800 on a dishwasher with no idea when its being delivered and installed. IF, and that's a big IF, I ever order from Lowes again I will be installing elsewhere.
