There's a reason this Lowes has such a low rating. They are earning it. We have had two horrible customer service experiences with them- one about a washing machine and another about carpet. Other than the occasional yard items or things we need to pick up- don't ever engage them for any type of significant purchase. The customer service is beyond horrible. A rock would be more helpful than than the people we have tried working with. Something has really changed with Lowes. read more

I wish I could give Lowe's 0 stars. It is not even necessarily this store. Although I believe all the problems originate from this store. I ordered custom blinds back in April 2019 expecting our baby to arrive in September 2019 and wanted to get a head start on the nursery and updating the home. It is almost September and I still do not have the correct blinds installed in my home. To make a very painful and long story short, this Lowe's store and the installation sales service department (which I believe is a corporate department) have consistently gotten my order wrong 5 times. I am not sure who did what but the communication skills and ordering skills are that of a 2 year old. Not once did anyone get my order correct until I called the manager of this Chamblee store with my own measurements and order to be placed ASAP. So here we are 5 months later and I am just now receiving my final blind order. I am still waiting on the installer to install them but I can confirm the correct ones are inside my home. I will never go through the hassle of ordering anything from this Lowe's again - our brand new appliances were all supposed to be delivered on June 18th. That morning I received a call that all of a sudden they do not have our new fridge - even though everything still said on time for delivery. The manager said he would call me back to let me know when our new fridge would be deliver. That call was never made - I had to follow up to find out that they actually had at least two of the fridges in stock, so they finally told me the following day it would be delivered. They deliver and install - only to find out then when I'm running the water through the in-door water dispenser that he did not install the fridge correctly - it was leaking from the water line and from the fridge so I had to turn off the water, this was now June 19th. I reach out again to have someone correct their mistakes about the new water leaks. No one contacts me AGAIN - so I have to follow up with them to get someone to fix our fridge, no one shows up until June 24th to fix our fridge, where the connections weren't done right, and they never installed the filtered, so luckily this gentlemen was able to do so. We were told the house would still have a little gas smell after letting the oven run for the first time, so we kept that in our heads when we kept smelling gas. We thought it was normal - but we actually had a gas leak in our house because of the first delivery team.This is when we realize that we had a gas leak with our new stove, which we didn't realize because we've been living in it and the gentlemen who fixed the fridge mentioned to us that the house smelt like gas. We call the store again and they bring out the same gentlemen who fixed our fridge to look at our stove, this is now June 25th. He says the new gas connector that the first gentlemen installed the stove with got nick when they pushed the stove back - He doesn't have a new gas connector with him, so he'll need to come back this week to replace it. I reach out again to schedule someone, and no one picks up or is able to help me. After reaching out for days - they finally send someone out on June 29th to tell me that they used the old gas connector from the previous stove , and they can't remove it. We used the old stove prior, and there were no gas leaks. I supplied a new gas connector from their store - and now they're telling me different information - even though I was home for this installation (even though I saw them replace the piece, so someone is not telling the truth). So now going on our second week of not having all of BRAND NEW appliances working because of the incompetent people who work at this store. Since they weren't able to disconnect the gas connector - I am now forced to get someone from a gas company to my house to fix their mistake without any type of compensation for this massive inconvenience on their behalf. If I knew it would take more than 2 weeks to have a full function kitchen - I would of went somewhere else - customer service is a major component that they completely and utterly lack - I advise everyone to shop elsewhere. read more

I love to shop at Lowe's, and this one is not far at all from my home. I could spend half day inside the garden and question about the plants, the workers there were nice and helpful, I am enjoyed to shop there. read more

I got a voicemail about scheduling a delivery for the appliance I had ordered from Lowe's in Chamblee, GA. They told me when THEY proposed to deliver, with no input from me as to whether anyone could be home. They did not leave a name. They did not leave a number, but they said "call us back if you'd like to re-schedule." Long story short, I just spent FORTY minutes trying to get someone on the phone, a live human who could help with this. This was on a weekday, not a weekend. Nobody answered in appliances (many times, I let the phone ring as long as it would, then it would re-cycle back to the main menu). Nobody answered in customer service. Nobody answered "operator." Nobody answered "help with delivery." In short, no customer service whatsoever. Horrible, horrible experience. My advice, pass up their free delivery, buy from someone else who will PICK UP THE DARN PHONE! read more

The service of this shop is very bad. I bought a dryer and asked delivery. The shop did not make a delivery schedule and directly sent a delivery person to my place the next day. The delivery person was also not noticed that I needed hook-up. He did not have any accessory tools and so I had to make the another schedule after the item arrived at my house. I talked about this trouble with a shop manager and he offered the accessory tools free for the next delivery. But when it came, the delivery person again did not bring the accessory tools and said that I had to purchase them at the store. I had to call a customer care and the store several times and explained/complained about what happened and what went wrong many times to different persons but no one actually solved it. They simply cannot manage to sell a dryer. What they did was making troubles and gave tons of frustration on a very simple process. The dryer was hooked up by the third person who was not related to Low's and it took 6 days to carry the dryer from Chamblee to Marietta. read more

So about a week and a half ago, I purchased a garbage disposal, range hood, and gas range from this location. I received lukewarm customer service from the plumbing gentleman. I received friendly and patient customer service from the appliance gentleman. Unfortunately, when my range arrived a week later (I knew that in advance so that was okay), the tape was not removed and the delivery guy (I will only count one because the other seemed to not even mentally be present) could not take off the gas line and did not have the gas line kit (that I was told I purchased). He gave me a 3 prong electric range cord (not the gas line kit I thought I bought) and said that's what they gave him. He was nice but also nonchalant about not being able to install or do anything with my range. He told me to contact a licensed plumber. So I contacted a plumber (cost to me $250) and the next day they came out, installed it, and as we are pulling tape off range, see two noticeable dents. UGH! I was understandably upset and headed to back Lowe's on Wednesday this week. I was immediately greeted by Head Cashier, Lonita. I warned her up front that I had a long whiny story LOL. She smiled and was very friendly and made me feel very comfortable in telling her all that occurred. To wrap this long story up, she wanted to rectify my situation immediately. I picked out a new range (decided to upgrade during this time), and she set me up for Friday delivery. She made a note to ensure the range was wrapped well to avoid dents and advised me that I should not have issues with delivery/install again. Lonita gave me an awesome discount on my upgraded range pick and basically made my day. She made the stress of the week much better and resolved my problems professionally and in the way you would hope to get from any business. I hope this location truly appreciates Lonita like I do!!! This morning I got my new gas range delivered and installed with no hassles. I give Lowe's four stars overall (although they could stand to answer their dang phone). i am completely renovating my kitchen and laundry room - all new stuff. went this morning and was looking at appliances - opening doors, drawers, etc., on fridges, ovens, dishwashers, washers/dryers - i gave every impression of a person who wanted to buy something. two employees were standing at the registers and i walked up and stood there (they saw me) and one finally asked if he could help me. when i walked him toward the ovens, he said "oh, anything over there i don't know about." really? you work here, right? so, i said ok and walked off. another person stopped me as i was leaving the department and asked if he could help me - BUT he said he doesn't work in that department and probably won't be able to answer my questions. really? you work here, right? (yes, i'm repeating myself.) i said i only wanted to talk to someone who could actually answer my questions and he said "well, i'm a manager, and i can try to answer your questions." again, really? TRY to answer? i'm not really sure how to respond to that because a normal human being would have been able to process my statement that i wanted to talk to someone who can answer my questions. i told him i was doing my whole kitchen and no one there seemed to care about helping me, so i'm just going to leave. i will not buy my appliances from home depot because i really hate them - but i will definitely go to another lowes store - this one should be completely restaffed. read more

We purchased a washer and dryer two months ago. A week after it was installed which that was a mess to get them to install it. It started making an awful loud noise while running. We have a warranty. For two months we have been dealing with Lowes awful customer service to come fix our dryer. TWO MONTHS. They would never call us back or say they are coming out and never show up. We are expecting our first child any day now and after they finally came to unstack it last week so a company could come fix it days later. They called us last night saying they are coming to restack it between 10:30- 12:30. At 12 my husband called to make sure they were coming today and they lady on the phone said they are. Which they never showed up and said they did. I have been sitting by this window all day to make sure they didn't pull anything again. But yet again they did. We called and the lady on the phone wasn't helpful yet again and said Lowes has to research and figure out a time they can come out. I'm so fed up with Lowes I will not be shopping there ever again. A couple months ago I began a project and purchased the vinyl Corrugated PolyCarbonate Plastic Roof Panel. The gentleman who helped me then was wonderful and cut the panel, at my request (easy with an exacto knife). I returned today to get 2 more panels to complete the project and couldn't find the same color that I purchased before. After searching for an employee in the area, he said he would look up to on the shelves, since there was not any readily available. A little while later, he yelled something towards me and another Lowe's employee but I had no idea what he said since I don't hear well, and he was 20 feet away. I assumed he was talking to the other associate. Forward another 10-15 minutes and the same employee is back on the forklift (where I found him) and I asked him about the panels he said he would check for. He said we don't have them and I told you that from a distance, a while ago.? I guess it would be too much effort to walk over to the customer who has been patiently waiting there. So I go to customer service to ask how I can find out when this item will be in stock since I don't live in Chamblee and just wasted 30 minutes, after driving to the store. The lady (didn't ask her name) in customer service said I would have to get a manger to contact me by email, and we would need to walk to the far side of the store again, to get the item number, and she still made no promise that I'd be contacted about the item when in stock. I'd already spent 30-40 minutes wasting my time, so I declined walking with her to the other side of the store, again. Clearly today there was no effort of customer service from the Lowe's employees that I came into contact with. read more

To say I'm disappointed would be understating my emotions. My husband and I decided to buy new kitchen appliances for our Christmas present - fridge, dishwasher, and range. I placed the order on 12/4/14 and still sit here at 9:30pm on 1/13/14 without all my appliances. After discussing my order with the Lowes customer service via phone I decided to buy both an electric and gas range (since the deal was amazing and expiring the next day yet I was not certain we would be able to have a gas range) and was told I could decide and cancel one of them prior to my delivery date of 1/2/15. On 12/30 we got the OK to get a gas range from our plumber so I promptly called Lowes to cancel the electric range and I thought it was all handled. WRONG! I took a day off work on 1/2/15 to be home for my much anticipated appliances but got NOTHING that day. When I called to check the status I was told everything was back ordered yet I was never notified. See ya vacation day... Mysteriously the next day a range and dishwasher were delivered to my door. However, since we didn't yet have gas in our kitchen I asked the delivery guys to just leave the range in its box in the garage. A few days pass and my plumber comes out to run the gas line and hook up my new, fantastic range... Except when the plumber takes the range out of the box we realize an ELECTRIC oven was erroneously delivered even though I'd called a week prior and cancelled that item. I then spent 3 hours that day reconciling the disaster that I'd been so excited about and was pushed between Lowes customer service and my Lowes location. Neither had any answers for me and at one point the store manager told me there was no way I could have gotten an electric oven... No words. The same manager then told me the range I'd ordered over a month ago was no longer in stock and no Lowes would be getting any more. WHAT?! She told me to just pick a different one. At this point I should mention to you that not only had the charge for this freaking appliance been charged to my credit card, but it had already been paid! So basically I paid for something I'd never receive. After telling them there was no way I'd accept another range the manager called a few stores in the area and managed to find one semi-close to me (Marietta). Of course, this couldn't happen smoothly. The appliance person at this location my Lowes - Chamblee GA Lowes - told me there was positively NO way he could get a truck to go get the range for me until the middle of next week (5-6 days away) EVEN THOUGH I'd told him I was currently without a range at all due to their flub in delivering the wrong range in the first place! I hung up and promptly called yet another manager at Chamblee Lowes who was able to get a truck to get my range the next day and to my door the day after. So thank you for exceptionally poor service Mr Appliance Department! Fast forward to present day - I have a dishwasher in a box in my dining room, a range that caused more grief than joy to get, and am still without a fridge I paid for a month ago. Right now I hope I never have to go to another Lowes after the incredibly poor customer service I've received. I truly expected much better from Lowes - both by a sincere apology and a discount for the absolute miserable experience I've had. Home Depot offered the exact same price deals on the appliances but I solely chose Lowes because I thought they had superior service. Oh how wrong I was. read more

Worst purchasing experience I've ever had. I purchased a washer and dryer on May 22 scheduled for delivery for the May 27th. After waiting for the delivery, I receive a call that the truck has had a "situation" and will not be able to make my delivery. No problem, things happen, life moves on. Delivery was rescheduled for May 30th. Delivery truck arrives, without the washer. I am told that delivery will be rescheduled for the next day (today). I tried several times to get through the Customer Care line with no success. Finally got someone on the phone, she tried calling the store to determine if the appliances were in route for delivery today and they hung up on her! Contrary to what I had been told on the phone twice by two separate associates, the washer and dryer may still not be delivered today because they have "35 deliveries to make". I have now taken off multiple days of work to wait for the delivery and still no promises about when it might arrive. Take your money and spend it somewhere that will actually perform their job correctly. read more

I made 2 major purchases in the last 5 months at lowe's of chamblee. in may, i purchased a new dishwasher with a lowe's install. there were some problems with the installation, due to my drain lines. but with assistance of a great manager, diane stover, my dishwasher got installed properly and i am very happy with the product. since diane was so helpful with my dishwasher install, in september, when my refrigerator started to slowly begin dying, i came in to see diane & she ordered the refrigerator i chose. it was to be 2 week lead time due to the fact that it was a special order & believe me, i was counting the days. at the end of the 2 weeks, i found out that my refrigerator was on back order. no one seemed to know when my refrigerator was coming in. the distribution center didn't know, the vendor wasn't certain and i was furious. diane, help!!!!! she got me a loaner refrigerator the next morning before i left for work and on an almost daily basis, she & i were in touch, either by phone or email, with updates as to the ETA of my refrigerator. when it was received in the store, diane set up delivery at my convenience. this was an unfortunate and unusual situation but thanks to diane, i did not need to worry that my food was going to be ruined. the loaner tided me over and i now have a beautiful new refrigerator. i have dealt with other managers in many retail store but i must say diane stover definitely knows how to stay on top of a situation and she never never dropped the ball. in addition, her communication skills put me at ease when i was beginning to get stressed out. she was fun to deal with, although professional at the same time. thanks diane for all your help through both of my projects. read more

I needed a replacement storm door. David Peacock greeted me and asked how he could help me. He shook my hand, introduced himself like a new friend. I told him I had looked several times, knew what I wanted. He did not try to sell something else but did tell me I had selected the best door. He took down my information while answering the phone a dozen times, answering questions, each time being very nice and excusing himself. Customers would shout questions at him while he was helping me, he would either tell them he would get help, or as them to wait as he was waiting on me. He did not rush the process, tried to answer every questions, had the most positive attitude. This man loves his job and knows how to please a customer. You feel like you are the only customer he has ever had to deal with all day, and you know he has gone non-stop. Give this man a raise and have him train some of the other employees how to work with customers. read more
