The people are good. The service stinks. Purchased a refrigerator from them a side by side and the stupid thing screamed all nigh long. Icemaker was installed at factory. No way to get rid of it. Returned refrigerator, it was a Fridgeadaire, junk is. Got a GE, top freezer, not much better. Installers did not level it, put on handles that I purchased to match and their manufacture warranty people are the worst of the worst, Bodewell. They cannot follow instructions and refuse to come into home with crated dogs, because they bark. So, contacted Lowes for them to send out a service tech and they too cannot follow instructions on the time of day to come out. I have sat for approx 4 days now waiting on all these service pereople to come when in their allowed time. Either someone at Lowes is not putting in the instructions right, of the service people do not read English. OH, and Bodewell, they had the wrong phone number from TWENTY yes ago and yet they would not call the alternate number. smh. 5:30 pm we spent 10 minutes in the garden center loading mulch and compost onto our carts tonight. As we're pushing the heavy cart up to the register, the 3 employees that just spent a long time in their phones decided to close and told us we had to go inside. Really messed up. Ordered a sink from this Lowes. We picked it up, and it was cracked in multiple places. When I called customer service, instead of looking up the item number to see if another one is in stock (like a competent customer service person is perfectly capable of doing), I get transferred to plumping--where I am on home for a ridiculous amount of time. I hung up and called back and asked for the manager, who told me that he can't do anything and I needed to speak with customer service. Once again, I get transferred to the lady who did not know how to do her job in the first place, and it took me telling her that her manager said she could look up an item number for her to finally do it. My husband went to this Lowes and dropped over $1200. He purchased a lot of electrical. He asked man waiting if they were competing with Elliott's because he had done a lot of shopping with them in the past. The man told him they were always cheaper. So later he had to get some other supplies that Lowes didn't have I. Stock. He went to Elliotts to get what he needed and found out the items he bought at Lowes was like half what they cost at Elliotts. Lowes in Burleson Tx has terrible service from the flooring department. Waited 26 days for a simple flooring measure, costing ($35.00) up front, which came back 3 different times incorrect. After taking it back to the flooring personnel, multiple times and correcting it, I decided to go into the Lowes in Burleson TX today to press them as to what the final, corrected estimate would be, only to find it incomplete, not included the vinyl flooring part as well as the original "incorrect" carpet estimate that had been corrected the week before. At that point I decided to just move on to a different flooring store. I ask Victoria ( the front manager for my $35.00 back for the incorrect and incomplete measurement and she said "sorry but the measurers were a third party contractor and although they were at vault, Lowes cannot refund the $35.00 because the measurer made the trip." Apparently not only do I not have an accurate flooring estimate and I burned a months worth of my time & aggravation but I also get to pay for Lowes incompetence in hiring third party contractors. No exaggeration on the reviews they have. They are the worst type of staff you could possibly think of. I can get better service at McDonald's that I could here. Found what I wanted and needed, but of course no staff around after 20 minutes. I walked to the front and asked for help, another 30 minutes after they called for help. I called customer service and told them this, which the proceeded to call for help again and transferred me to the department where I was, WHICH HAD NO ONE. This was absolutely ridiculous, I definitely do not blame the workers, whoever they have as manager is doing a terrible job. Went to garden center to purchase and have loaded 25 bags of a certain brand of mulch which they had two pallets in stock on back wall of garden center. The old guy at the register said they were out of stock. Hah! After waiting 10 min for him to sort it out, long line formed, then being misdirected to the parking lot which did not have any pallets, then back into the store, the two youngish helper guys abandoned us to be replaced by two women, both hard working, but one was not suppose to be lifting anything(she should sue Lowes). I wanted to replace my front door. The door had to be built in the system due to having sidelites. I went into the Lowes in Burleson. I was greeted by Shane Bailey. I could tell that he was busy but told me that he wasn't too busy to help me build my door. He was very helpful and patient while I was changing my mind on specifics. A customer needed to ask a quick question. He asked if it was ok to help her while I waited on my installer with questions. It's hard to find good help these days. I could tell that he loves his job and takes pride in what he does. If you need a door installed or even help with a door, go see Shane. He will get you taken care of. I was without a fridge for over a week and it was a hassle to finally get in contact with any customer service rep. My fridge was supposed to be delivered 9/9 but I guess ran late to Lowe's and nobody thought it a good idea to call me and let me know. Then I made it very clear I wouldn't be home 9/10 afternoon so I needed the fridge delivered before noon and I get the 11-3 slot so I had to find someone to come for the delivery at 1:30. Staff in appliances was helpful. I bought a range a few days before I needed to pick it up. Went to customer service to let them know I was ready. Adrianna called back to the appliance department, hung up and walked off. I had to go to her to ask what the next step was. She told me that the range would be brought up and I could pull up to the front. After 10 minutes of waiting I went to the appliance department. They told me to go back to customer service and have a pull ticket printed. Not sure why this was my responsibility. Adrianna was with another customer so I went to April. She printed the ticket and told me to sign it before I've seen my merchandise. I told her that I wanted to see it first to make sure it was correct. Her response was to roll her eyes and pick up the phone. The Lowe's in Mansfield is my normal store. Only came here because they had the range I wanted. I'll stay in Mansfield. A tale of 2 completely different experiences: new house = new washer and dryer. I want a Maytag based on good experience with the brand. 5/23/18, 7:30PM I visit Lowe's. I can't find anyone working in the appliances area so we use the call button. Nice lady comes over, can't help us but calls over another man and he does. I want the washer (5.3 in Metallic) and dryer (8.5 electric in metallic). He checks, it's in stock. Checks delivery date....a week out. He calls manager, nothing they can do. I ask about interest free financing, 6 months max if I use Lowe's card. I go ahead and order this. 2,180 dollars. I get to the check out, there is one checker and a long line. It's my turn, I ask to pay with Lowe's card to get 5% discount. He pulls it up by name/social. Says he needs and approval code. He calls a number. On hold for 12 minutes. He is a nice guy, calls manager over, manager says hang up and call back. He does. 7 minutes oh hold, person wants all sorts of info, I provide it. By this time it's 9:30 and husbands has to take tired cranky kids to car. Person gives code, but we only have 1500 limit. I ask to raise the limit, they ask same info over again. Then decide they need to talk to Husband since he is also on the account. I say forget it he is in car, just put 1500 on card and I will pay Cash for the rest. They say on, hang up phone. Try to charge 1500 on Lowe's card, comes back declined for potential fraud. WHAT? I just spent 35 minutes on the phone giving you ever detail you asked for, drivers license, etc. I say forget it I will just pay cash but can I still have the 5% off for all the trouble? Manager says no. Infuriated but ready to get out of there I pay for entire purchase price and know it will be a week before I have a washer and dryer. SAD face. But hey then, 5/24/18 I get an email from Best But. Come enjoy 18 months no interest financing on appliances. I am intrigued. They have the exact same set for 125 less. I go by the Best Buy at Alliance Town Center at 5:30 PM. Super nice man greets me and points me in direction of washers and dryers. I was over and I am immediately greeted by David who is super nice and knowledgable about the Maytag product. He explains how to work the machine and answers all my questions. He pulls info on metallic slate and it's in stock. He looks at next delivery date...WHAT?!? It's TOMORROW!! Awesome I say. Then I see a sign that says "tax free appliances May 26-28th" I say if I wait until the 26th then I get this tax fee? He says, only the washer qualifies but if you want it delivered tomorrow, I will get the tax taken off today for you. WOW, ok! He then rings me all up, sets me up for delivery between 12-4 tomorrow, calls manager over to do override to discount the price 65 dollars for tax, that takes my geek squad warranty down 40 dollars too! Then he says excuse me, walks away, comes back 30 seconds later with a box and says and here is your free google home! WOW, free google home for buying a washer and dryer, tax free with delivery tomorrow?? Super cool! I proceed to check out and he says just select the 18 months no interest option, or I can call and get you 24 months if you want? I say no that's ok, 18 months is great. He then explains all my paper work, all my delivery info, tells me about a survey I might receive, and then says and hEre is your 100 gift card to Best Buy. OH MY GOSH!!!!! Same Maytag set, cheaper warranty for same amount of time/protection, super nice quick and knowledgable sales person, no tax, 18 months no interest financing, free google home, delivery tomorrow, AND 100 gift card?!?!?! Said thank you, Walked out and drive right over to Lowe's and returned my purchase. 150 less and all that extra stuff and a happy feeling. Lowes home improvement stores BEWARE. I ordered a microwave and double oven on August 11th with a delivery and installation on Sept 10th. Called to verify on the 9th and was told they had forgot to order them! They would have them in 30 more days. On that delivery date they informed me that they had ordered the wrong oven and it would be another month! I called a local appliance store and had it delivered and installed in 6 days. Now, I ask for a refund, it's been 4 weeks and no check, they promised it in another 2 weeks, we'll see. Because they failed to provide the oven they then cut my rebate in half. Don't walk but RUN from this company. They make promises over the phone however they don't do what they promise whether it's a store employee, their credit card department or their rebate department. read more

Most visits were alright. Sometimes you'll find that staff with approach you to see if you need help - other times no one does. One time I was 2nd in line at the register when the older check out lady kept announcing the request for assistance loading the vehicle for the older lady in front of me. I have always been pro Lowes -this has been my home improvement store for 20 yrs. I went in this weekend looking for plywood. I went to the lumber dept and asked a man behind what looked like a customer svc counter for help. He told me to find a red vest. I went to a red vest (Jonathan) and he told me to go up and down the isle and find someone!?! He didnt have a phone to call for help was his excuse. I do that, find a yellow vest, he didn't speak English and didnt offer to help me find someone. I walk up and down the few isles looking for someone. Super frustrated at this point! The first guy i initially talked to happened to walk by and asked if anyone had helped me yet. I said NO! He apologized and promised to get someone. 10 min later, still no one came to help. I was furious and about to leave when Jimmy passed by and probably saw fumes coming from my head. He helped me and got me hooked up, cut the plywood i needed and said it would be ready for pick up when I wanted it to be. I paid Jonathan and left. When my son came back to pick up, he unfortunately had to deal with Jonathan again. Jonathan gave him the wrong plywood. I had to go back up there to straighten it out. Jonathan told me Jimmy didn't cut the plywood like he was supposed to. i went walking down the isle and found the wood. Cut and stacked and ready to load up. Jonathan has the worst customer service and was too lazy to even look for the wood and blamed the issue on someone else, who actually DID do their job. I have always had great experiences with online ordering, appliances, cabinetry, paint, tools, gardening and household. I give 5 stars to those areas for sure. Lumber Specifically I give a 2stars and only because 1 out of 4 ppl was willing to help and treat me like a customer instead of an inconvenience. read more

Having just spent over $13,000 on home improvements at this store, I was surprised at their reaction after we discovered our garage door was buckled. Since their contractors had stored materials in our garage, they were in and out of the garage frequently during the days they were here. On the day before they completed their work, I had heard a crash in the garage which sounded like something had hit the garage door. I was busy at the time and, stupidly, didn't stop what I was doing to check it out. I had thought they would let me know if something had happened. Later that day, after they had left was when I discovered the garage door was buckled and wouldn't shut completely. It had been working FINE that morning when I opened it to let them in. They denied doing anything to the door and are saying the buckling was caused by pre-existing damage. After much haggling, we reluctantly accepted the 25% off of a new garage door they offered us. Sadly, though, it has been a nightmare trying to connect with them. They were supposed to call yesterday to set up a time for us to come in and pick out a new door; but they never called. I called our contact person again this morning, but was told he was in a meeting; so left him a message asking that he call me back ASAP. It is now afternoon, and no one's called. I guess if I haven't heard anything from them by the end of the day, I'll try calling the store manager tomorrow to see if I can get something done. Meanwhile, it's now been over a week that our garage door hasn't been working. ALL of this is very disappointing. read more
