So full transparency, I have not yet gone full grocery shopping here (so can't confirm the level of comparable expense to other stores) BUT I am excited to do so (trust me, my lady is getting a request for us to try shopping here on our next grocery trip). First things first I noticed on the back of their staff's shirts, it says "locally grown locally owned" and I would add just one more piece to that.. I'd say just like their store, that is all truly beautiful. This place is amazing. I walked in and noticed immediately that It feels almost like a very large barn or farm, etc. with all the typical goods but also tons of other items you don't see everywhere else. Very well designed, very clean, staff seems to have an overall pleasant demeanor (and outside of knowing specifically how the costs here compare to other grocery stores - I would almost not even hesitate to give Lowes a five star review)! This is the first grocery store that I've been in that felt like a "home", if that's possible... You walk in, people here are smiling and doing their thing, it's very well kept, it just feels good to be in here. And to me, in my mind, if I'm going to give more money to somebody, regardless, I'd rather enjoy the experience. Great job Lowes!!

6 of the 8 pcs of fried chicken. Yum!

We received a Lowes flyer with a coupon for $2.00 off an 8pc fried chicken box from their Chicken Kitchen. This was an excellent deal because I love fried chicken and a sale! Hubs made a special trip for me. The box was warm and emitting delicious aromas. I opened the box, leaned in and took a giant sniff. This next part will tell you how good it is: I immediately ate a wing and a leg over my kitchen sink. No plate. No napkin. Crispy, crunchy and juicy! The rest is tucked safely away in a ziplock bag and in my refrigerator. This is also easy to reheat, a couple of minutes in the microwave and then into my toaster oven to crisp it quickly.

Vegetables that are supposed to taken home and ready to eat/cook.

Always clean. Happy, courteous employees. Still on the pricey side, which drives me to the Food Lion more often.

Love this little market. I asked for a quick tutorial since I had never been here and they were…read moresuppose to close in 20 minutes. The very nice man assured me that they would stay as long as I needed them to. He then explained ed that everything in the store was North Carolina made. They have a good variety that includes soaps and lotions, snacks, sodas, etc. They cut their own meats, and they have some of the best fudge you have ever eaten. They give samples too. Peanut butter fudge won me over and I had to have walnut too. The salted carmel cookies at the checkout were a last minute add on and they are totally worth the price. Salty, sweet, crunchy and chewy pieces too. So delicious. The Pimento cheese was a must have and we ate most of it with crackers as soon as I got home.i should have bought the biggest container they had. I'm looking forward to the ground sausage and link sausage and country ham on some biscuits. They have pasta made by The Past Wench. I'm excited to try that also. I bought the Spinach tomato and the cracked black pepper. I'll go back for the wild mushroom pasta. Just too many fantastic options to choose from. They were so welcoming and it's just a little market like my Mom use to take us to growing up so I felt right at home. I'll be stopping in every chance I get.

Some of the reasons I like Food Lion in general include: -easy to use app -sales are clearly marked -stores are just the right size (not too big or small) And some of the reasons I like this location in particular include: -produce tends to be fresh -some of their cashiers are really friendly -they've been nice to me when I've shopped in full gremlin mode at weird hours Some of my proudest moments in this store include: 1- the time I forgot my phone and needed to use theirs (they let me), 2- the time I negotiated a $10 discount on some freezer burned crab legs, and 3- the time I got a rain check coupon for a product that I had a freebee coupon for. The main reasons my rating isn't perfect include: 1- in the evenings, they often force you to do self checkout, and 2- cashier quality can be inconsistent. Overall, this is a perfectly good place to shop. Just make sure you download the app and leverage their deals if you choose to go!

I've noticed that the stores in my area are currently being remodeled, and the new layout is much more like Walmart. In a small town like ours, many of us value Food Lion because it isn't like the big-box stores -- it's local, simple to navigate, and easy to shop in. If we wanted a Walmart-style experience, we'd go there. Please consider maintaining the unique, customer-friendly layout that has always made Food Lion a great option for small-town shoppers. Its funny when I called the 800 number I asked the person on the phone, why did they change it she said because "we like it" ..Did you ask the customer

Ta-dah...just around the next corner I found Gusto. I needed to hurry so I picked a pizza that would get me through dinner and lunch tomorrow. It didn't take me long to hone in on meatballs and caramelized onion. So incredibly tasty! It was fresh out of the oven so not the easiest thing to eat going down the road but trust me when I tell you I managed three slices! I'm looking forward to stopping back in and perusing the menu more closely. I did see that there were a few regular entrées along with the pizzas and salads as well. Nice large restaurant with some outdoor seating as well. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door and had my pizza within 10 to 12 minutes. So happy to have found a great spot on our regular route to our cabin in Virginia!

The pizza was made just like in Naples, Italy and I loved it! I ordered the Sammy (carmelized onions on the side) & it was delicious!! I ordered the onions on the side because I was afraid they would take away from the other yummy toppings. In my opinion, I was right. My mom enjoyed them on the pizza. My mom ordered the chicken parm sub & side Cesar salad. We actually shared everything. The Cesar salad was very good, complete with fresh parmesan shavings. My mom also raced about the Louie pizza but I didn't try it. The GELATO was out of this world!!!! Definitely order to chocolate Gelato, chocolate fans!! It's chocolate and has chocolate bits in it. I'll be back for more on the next sunny day! Kudos to the sweet waitress. She was great. Great lunch and daily specials. Lots of free parking.

Given whats going…read moreon with grocery prices (as of Mar 2026), I've been making this spot part of my shopping routine. Their produce is fresh and they have a reliably well-stocked dairy section. I used to avoid ALDI because I felt I'd find it frustrating that they have a rotating stock. But, they have really built up a steady supply of staples. I may never forgive them for the time they had full-size holiday marzipan on clearance for like 50 cents a bar. I got like 20. They were delicious and didn't last very long . My favorite thing to shop for here is cheese- because they'll have fancy cheeses (that I suspect are overstock) for not too much money. Also, if you're into deep discounts on clearance items and are willing to buy random stuff, this is your spot. As with all ALDI stores, bringing your own bags and having a shopping cart quarter ready is a best practice. They've added self-checkout options as well. But, ALDI cashiers are professionals and I'll never pass up the opportunity to interact with them. Fast and friendly. Overall- I consistently have a good experience here. Worth checking out!
