I love this store and everything about it. The Happy Hour, the cleanliness, the friendliness and helpfulness. Their produce, salad bar, deli, all clean, fresh and well stocked and the staff manning them have always been nice, polite and willing to help. I've read some of the not so nice reviews and from what I can see, those people are unreasonable for the most part. I've yet to have the kind of experiences they gripe about (most don't even live here and seem to want to be catered to with ridiculous expectations). This is the SOUTH folks. We do things differently here. People, don't pay any mind to their petty complaints. I've yet to go into a Lowes Foods store and not received great customer service. read more

My wife stops by once a week to get food for the family and one of my kids only eats the rice and when it's good the rice is awesome and we all enjoy it but probably 3-4/5 times the rice is hard as a rock, dry and will literally almost crack your tooth. Lowe's food you guys gotta get new employees because how bad of a employee do you have to be to mess up rice it is as if they let it sit all day long and when it starts get brown and hard and burnt they just try to mix it all together thinking it'll make it better and it just ruins the whole thing. read more

This is a very nice grocery store we encountered on vacation in Myrtle Beach. I found it on Yelp! by searching for a Whole Foods, looking for a little more than several of the Food Lions we had tried. It is clean, fresh, and offers a beautiful variety of good looking produce (you can snip your own alive, growing herbs), meats, bakery items, sandwiches, etc. They have their own line of a plethora of products, which surprised us. We were not in town long enough to try many of them, but they have nicer packaging than a lot of other store brands. One note, they do not have a pharmacy, so if you need certain things, you'll need to find those things somewhere else. read more

Organic produce selection is hit or miss - usually a miss. They also put the organic onions in the refrigerated section which is not good for the shelf life once you get it home. Their prices seemed to increase recently - one example is Chateau Ste. Michelle Riesling went from 10.99 to over $15 which was shocking. this is insanity! Me and my friend just went in there, yes it's 10 PM but it does close in an hour, we get in there and it's completely Ghost Town empty. I'm saying that I called out for a customer for service and nobody went up to me. We were both shocked and confused because I could just walk in there and steal something and walk back out and no one would say anything or see anything. This is absolutely ridiculous and management should seriously look into this because it's honestly embarrassing. Great place to shop at, horrible customer service. read more

To me it s hybrid grocery store, that blends higher quality items and selections in one half, with your average grocery store in the other half. The icing on the cake is the craft beer bar, excellent wine selection and excellent too go food. In some ways it reminds me of a "Whole Foods " but with better priced items overall. read more

I have always been a fan of Lowes Foods. The prices are higher than most grocery stores but the quality is unbeatable. I popped into this location with a friend to pick up some cupcakes. The layout makes it easy to navigate to the appropriate areas. The store is a little on the small size compared to the Summerville and Mt. Pleasant locations. It is organized, clean, and the shelves are fully stocked. The cashier was friendly enough. read more

The Chicken Family Special is Horrible. The chicken was dried out. The sides cold and tasteless. The whole package was so dried out from sitting out. Most likely out of temp for some time but yet still offered items for Sale. I definitely would not recommend this to anyone for feeding your family. Clean/nice store And great fresh meat/fish Rotisserie chicken is amazing, fried chicken a little dry could work on that! compared to some places, great prices if your a member. The store is beautiful however checking out was terrible. Not enough registers open guess they are pushing self checkout , Hope they know there is a lot stealing going on with them so they really are not saving on not having cashiers. I use to work on self check out. Also when a register has a sign EXPRESS it should mean express. I was in line and the woman in front of me had over 30 items . If the cashier is not allowed to politely say sorry this is 10 items or less then DON"T have one. Managers never listen and that person might have a few items one day and you would rather have larger orders . The next time could be a large order and maybe they won't be back ! read more

I mean, where else can you have a drink while doing your groceries?! I never heard of Lowes Foods, but I was visiting my friend in Myrtle Beach and she was really digging this store. I absolutely love how you can do your alcohol shopping at the grocery store. We just don't do that in Jersey. I would compare Lowes to a very nice Shop Rite or Stop 'n Shop, but the bar adds a little something extra. Great selection of everything that you would need for your time at the beach. The prices are great on some things, but a little high on others. What I loved about this place was the selection of the items my partner and I have difficulty finding, such as good quality local honey. Although the store is small compared to say a Kroger or a Food Lion, they still have a variety of food items that fit my partner's dietary needs. I love this store. The produce, baked goods and meats are all fresh. They sell Boars Head cold cuts! Fresh cheeses spread along a huge open counter. The selection of boxed goods is slightly limited, but carries enough to get by. The cashier will call for help if you need it to load your groceries in your car. On top of everything else I've dealt with at this location today i stopped here to get necessary groceries. Let me start by saying I'm recovering from open heart surgery. I have no one right now to pick up groceries for me. I put on the mask my doctor gave me to wear before leaving home. In your store where i regularly shop by the way, the man watching the self checkout says - sarcastically to the woman working with him "there sure are a lot of doctors here today - looking right at me in the mask!!! When i said " or people with heart conditions" he said back "yeah i have a heart condition too". Again sarcastically. When i say i will never ever come back to this store it can't be understated. Clearly they won't be following any safety procedures if that's the attitude of the employees. It was even a kid so i can't blame it on immaturity of age. I'm just beyond disgusted. Having employees making fun of people just trying to protect themselves is beyond my comprehension. read more

I found this market while staying at the hotel across the street. It reminded me of the Whole Foods market back home with the similar color scheme. This store was clean, helpful staff, & the produce was fresh. I wanted something filling yet not too heavy before the beach. I ended up eating a turkey sandwich made fresh from the deli, sushi, and a fruit cup. It was all delicious. Also I picked up some wine for later & the selection is impressive. I will continue to visit this store throughout my stay here in Myrtle Beach. read more

Lowe's Food's is one of our favorite grocery stores to buy from. They always have fresh food to buy. And they have a bunch of different miniature stores in the big store. My favorite store would have to be the bakery. They have some of the best cake especially their red velvet cake. Their icing is not too sweet but it is still very good. We also sometimes order from the chicken place. They have amazing potato wedges. They are packed with flavor. If anyone has tried the other places let me know if they are good. Any ways the staff is very friendly. They enjoy serving their consumers. All around this is a great store with great food. The only downside is that it is a little pricey but I believe that it is worth the price. read more

Really Meh says it all. If you have ever been into a Lowes Food lower your expectations a bit before you head into this one. Not a great selection (at least for the items on my shopping list). Staff didn't seem too particularly fond of trying to help or even speak to customers (although they were quite at home socializing with each other). Honestly this is the first place that I have been to since I moved to Myrtle Beach where I didn't leave thinking how nice the people there were. I didn't give them 5 stars because I have been spoiled living a mile away from Whole Foods... I don't anymore... and while I miss Whole Foods with its incredible selection of organic produce, I have to say that this local grocery store has exceeded my expectations. Of course selection is not nearly as nice but what I love about Lowes is that they are trying. Their caring attitude towards the customers. That charming feeling of "local business" which is so refreshing in today's days of a corporate amazon/Whole Foods business. I just wish that they carried more organic produce and vegan options but I understand that this type of diet is unfortunately not very popular among "southerns". This is the second time I noticed "an attitude" from the cashiers at this store. The first one weeks ago was very bad, and I thought of writing a review but did not bother. I just got back from shopping there again. Different cashier. I am a pretty friendly guy and smile and say hi to everyone. But I walk up and smile and say hello and there is no smile or hello back from this lady, just "Do you have a lowes card" No, I don't can I just use a store card? " I don't have one" is the reply. I said oh, well how about if I just go to another cashier and I take two steps towards the next one. "oh she doesnt have one either. is the reply. I said that is a bit odd. Why? "people abused them" is her response. (to me this makes no sense and I saw she was REALLY not friendly and I did not want it to get worse so I just said ok, well can I please use a store card I am on vacation for a few weeks, don't want to get one. But also I bought stuff on sale and I dont want to get punished having to pay an extra $20 just cause I don't have a card. So she huffs and puffs and gets a head cashier over who rings out her store card. The cashier cashes me out, the bagger bags and I say thank you and have a great day to them both and I even smile at them but ... I do NOT get service with a smile in return or even a thank you for shopping at lowes... NOTHING. So I said a second time: Thanks... Have a great night! and barely get any response out of either of them. I just grab my bags and go and think WOW. This is the SECOND time I had such an odd experience at this lowes! How can this even be so in a day and age when there are so many other choices for my shopping dollar? I don't HAVE to go there. I am probably not going to bother going back cause they just seem rude and unfriendly and like they truly do not care about the customer. When someone is spending their money at a store, the workers truly should be trained to be friendly but I cannot see it at all, not at this store. I have no idea how the other stores in the area are.
