Service and desserts are wonderful. 3 for 12 lets you try different ones. So that's awesome

I had an absolutely terrible checkout experience at this store tonight, although the woman at the bakery counter was delightful, helpful, and professional. (The photos show just how tense and unnecessarily escalated this situation became over a simple cake purchase. Three employees were essentially tag-teaming me over an incorrect charge that could have been addressed when I first pointed out the repeated scans--before Gary charged me and forced me to leave, examine the receipt, and come back inside. Instead, it took three employees about ten minutes to address a basic checkout mistake that should have been corrected in less than a minute. I started recording a video after a few minutes of them telling me I was wrong and them being rude, then suddenly they started being fake nice when I put my camera on, classic.) I had just gotten out of work and had hot takeout food waiting for me. I stopped briefly to purchase three cakes for a special occasion, advertised as three for $12. Gary, the cashier, rang in more cakes than I actually had, leaving the receipt full of confusing entries and corrections. I heard the repeated scans and immediately asked him, calmly and politely, to check. He would not scroll back to let me see all of the charges on the screen. Instead, he repeatedly assured me that I had not been overcharged, so I had to complete the transaction and wait for the receipt to print. Outside, I checked it and discovered that I was right. Despite all the corrections, I had still been charged $17.97 for three cakes advertised as three for $12. I went back inside and deliberately approached another cashier because I did not want to deal with Gary again, but he came over and continued insisting the receipt was correct. The second cashier also repeatedly told me I was wrong and claimed this was simply "how the receipt looks." She underlined different entries with a pencil and tried to explain that the $17.97 represented only one cake, which made no mathematical sense. I finally had to pull out my own calculator and walk two employees who handle money through the charges before they began recognizing the problem. The second cashier then rudely told me, "You're going to have to wait," dismissed me, and looked away. The way she spoke to and disregarded me was what started making me genuinely angry. When the manager arrived, he barely acknowledged me, side-eyed me, and acted irritated rather than concerned. By then, the cakes had been tossed around and shaken up during the ordeal, and I was too upset to want them, so I returned all three. At one point, Gary remarked that "life is too short." I replied, "Yeah, it is too short, and I don't have time for this s***." The manager focused entirely on that statement, threatened to have me removed and banned from the store, and shooed me away. I acknowledge exactly what I said after the situation escalated, but I began calmly and politely. One frustrated statement does not excuse ringing in more cakes than I had, refusing to check the transaction, repeatedly insisting I was wrong, dismissing me when I asked for help, or threatening to ban me. This ruined my evening. The hot food I had ordered was cold by the time I arrived to pick it up, and I left without the cakes I needed for a special occasion. I regularly shop here, but after this treatment and being threatened with a ban, I am uncomfortable to return and will tell my family and friends how I was treated. Gary has made mistakes on my previous transactions that I chose to let go. This time, I simply did not want to be overcharged. The employees escalated the situation through their dismissive and arrogant treatment, then acted as though I was the problem for questioning an incorrect charge. The manager's mafia-wannabe approach felt more like intimidation than customer service. The woman at the bakery counter was the only person who treated me with genuine kindness and professionalism. Frankly, she demonstrated better management qualities than the manager and should have his job. Corporate should review the register transaction, my receipt, and the complete camera footage. Mistakes happen. What made this unacceptable was the refusal to check, repeated arguing and dismissal, lack of accountability, wasted time, and threatening treatment from management. read more

We are moving to Myrtle Beach in the new year and were happy to discover a great Fresh Market here! We picked up lunch and dinner a couple times and saw all the fave things we are used to getting in Atlanta. Highly recommend the ready to make white pizza, and we shared one of the ready to eat salads with fresh berries and pecans. The blueberry scones are a regular fave, and we are trying the delicious looking blueberry yogurt muffins tomorrow. Look forward to being here regularly in a few months! read more

This is a lovely market full of wonderful staple and gourmet items and upon entering its very inviting. Their bakery is amazing with a diverse selection of cookies, whole and by the slice cakes, and pastries. The meat and seafood counter looked wonderful. I stopped by for some cookies by the pound and boy were they good..similar to Italien cookies. Staff was also super friendly. I look forward to coming back and trying other things. read more

The Fresh Market - A few of the cookies I bought..amazing selection by the pound. - Grocery Near Me - Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

This market is a step above most markets. Their meats are top shelf. If you looking to make an impression this is where the meets are! They make prepped meets that come with instructions to cook. Awesome fresh vegetables are crisp and delicious. read more

Love their crab cakes, salmon cakes and shrimp cakes . Lots of specialty foods and produce

Fresh food, good customer service, great selections of fresh food. Their location is great.

I love this market. A little more expensive but well worth it. Fresh market does have truly fresh made foods. Plan meals around the specials such a variety especially if you cook for one or two people. read more

Well, for the most part, just to shop, its a great store. Fresh produce, meats, great sales, wonder prepared meal station. We really like this store.....But, we ordered alla cart items for thanksgiving. Im a retired Chef, so I have some standards, I expect over the top flavors when I order catering. The Turkey breast had no flavor, didn't seem to be seasoned. The augratin potatoes-were mush. Like the potatoes used were dehydrated. The cut asparagus was the steam in the bag, half was stems that were so fibrous like wood. That shouldn't even be in the bag. And $8.99 to boot. Was came in a microwaveable or oven-able container. We wont be getting Catering there again. We had to re season everything. Good thing I know what Im doing. We where here from out of town, normally I make my own Holiday meals. read more

Recently moved from New England and was looking for a store that carries some speciality cooking items and I found almost all here! Visited for first time today, found a beautiful well stocked store! Fresh produce, meat and breads. Store is super clean and extremely inviting for a culinary shopping experience. I would recommend stocking more spices (no cayenne to be found). Special thanks to Diane who cared for my checkout and helped me set up my rewards account! Will be back :)! read more

Great experience shopping at the Fresh Market! What a wonderful store with unique and high-quality items. We were very happy that our cashier named Ben was very helpful and informative and made our shopping experience great! Ben is the main reason we will come back. Truly a model employee! Sincerely, Mary K. read more

We visited this evening for a few items that we generally enjoy from The Fresh Market. Their pimento cheese, bakery cookies, and toasted bread rounds are our favorite. We got the last original pimento cheese out on display, couldn't locate the toasted bread rounds and the bakery cookies were limited. We also like the Cape Cod Oyster Crackers brand but none were to be found. There appeared to be a lot of boxes of stock at the front of the store and no employees tackling the task. We made a special trip to this location but it will be our last. read more

Only place to buy Farrow island salmon. Best in the world. Once you try it you won't eat any other salmon.

Sushi good. Miss the smaller sized pies. No longer making peach pie. Lots to choose from.

Bring your wallet! See below for bagelSalmon review! Place is legit. Organic fruits and veg. Nice floral offerings when entering the store. Lots of coffee beans, prepared salads, fresh spice packets. Meat case is divine, but expensive. I'm here to talk about the bagels and the Fresh Market salmon spread. The bagels are fresh-ish. $3.99 for 4. My problem is the ingredients. Malt syrup, brown sugar,Raisin juice concentrate, molasses and honey powder, anyone? Whoa. All sugar products. Next up-Fresh Market Smoked Salmon Seafood Spread. "Perfect for snacking and entertaining ". Bones, skin and scales. Scary as I almost choked on a bone. Forget bagels and smoked salmon here. read more

Myrtle Beach Fresh Market tries to emulate a NYC Whole Foods store simply by charging NYC prices. In the 10-year-behind grocery food scene here in MYR, Fresh Market gave us hope to find something beyond the Walmart/Piggly-Wiggly/FoodLion choices catering to the Chick-fill-A summer crowd. It simply achieves in providing the same choices at a higher price in an, admittedly, clean and welcoming store. At least you will not have to cruise around the parking lot ( Costco style ) for a place to park your Lexus/Mercedes/BMW, worrying to get dinged by a monster truck. Even on NewYears eve, 3pm, they were hardly any customers. Perhaps they drove to Wilmington to visit Trader Joe's or Whole Foods. read more

I went to see if they had Nutpods (pumpkin spice) which is hard to find but thought I'd try. The smell of cinnamon greeted me upon entering (good placement of the pine cones!) and it was great from then on. I received great service from the deli who prepared the roasted chicken salad for me (yummy!) and loved the sea for the free 4-count of croissants. Another worker was very friendly when I asked about nutpods and went out of way to help me get an answer. Really I just loved the ambiance. I felt myself just smiling and walking around. I plan on going to one closer to where I live and oh I hope it lives up to this one as I'll be visiting often. Lots of healthy choices (for example multiple options for plantain chips) read more

I love this store !! Great fresh products. If you are a big chocolate fan, they have a cute little candy spot in the middle of the store.

Bought 2 boneless ribeye steaks and cooked them last night. Steaks were very good, but pricey, $40 for the two steaks. Also purchased a package of 4 bagels for 3.99, so a buck a bagel, about average, and purchased their fresh salmon cream cheese spread. This had bones as well as chunk of salmon, including the fish scales. Difficult to eat. Who wants to pick salmon bones and fish scales out of their mouth while eating a bagel. Totally ridiculous. Their fruits and vegetables looked fresh, but we didn't buy any. Fish and meats also looked very fresh read more

This is a jewel in Myrtle Beach. I feel Iike I'm in New York City where I'm originally from. It's actually an experience shopping there. And the quality is perfect. I've been there various times of the day/night and the staff is most helpful. And everything I've had is delish! I highly recommend it. I'm on my way there now to fill my sweet tooth read more

Yes yes yes! Finally a Fresh Market in Myrtle, no more traipsing to pawleys for gourmet foods. Like all Fresh Markets they're clean, stocked, attentive, and friendly. A cross between Trader Joes and Whole Foods! You'll find me here again and again! read more

Love the meat selection and the deli. Lots of great salad choices, nice high end grocery store but am not crazy about their baked goods. Carrot cake should have cream cheese frosting, not vanilla! People are helpful and polite., always willing to lead me to what I need. read more

This is my go to grocery store...nothing better than their meat department, and the produce is the freshest. Plus their employees go way beyond to be of assistance, store is very clean and well organized read more

Cute store- expensive but it is more like a speciality grocer. Very friendly and great alcohol selection.

Love love love!!! I love the fresh market! The produce is amazing, they have a fantastic selection of health foods and snacks. The sushi bar the have is also on point and makes delicious rolls that are fresh and tasty. While this place is definitely on the pricy side, I am more than willing to spend a few extra dollars on all organic foods and beverages. read more

You know going into the fresh market that things are going to be expensive but you generally get great service. Not today! I stood at the deli counter waiting for the clerk to wait on me though he kept looking at me he refused to wait on me until another customer pointed him directly to me. I asked for cheese and meat that were clearly advertised on a sign. The deli clerk told me that the cheese slicer was cleaned and off for the night and that they didn't carry bologna- he was rude and unprofessional and I left to shop elsewhere. read more

Wow! One of my favorite places at the beach to shop is here. We only live a block away. Not any more!! Tyler was the most insincere cashier I have ever encountered in any grocery store. All I can say is I will never return and I can't wait for Publix to open next door so I won't have to return!! read more

Beautiful market with deli, fresh meat, produce and specialty items. Deli serves made to order sandwiches and has prepared food ready to go if you're not in the mood to cook or go out to eat. What a great place to shop. We were really getting frustrated by the lack of a decent grocery store in the MB area till we found this store. It tucked away off Kings Hwy and 78st behind the trees. The manager Joshlyn was great to us after we forgot the meat we had brought for New Year's Eve. It was our fault as we left it in the cart in the parking lot. She helped us out with the price. Taylor our cashier was super nice and also give us some tips for the area as we just moved here. read more

I was asked to give more details about the lack of weigh scales in produce....I asked an employee why there was no scale...he said "they just don't have them". I surmised it is a way to get me to just pick up the batch of whatever or just keep tossing apples in my cart...If I could see the weight and know the cost, I likely would buy enough, not too much. As for the firewood....about $5.00 per small piece is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. You could hire a local to bring a pick up load for 75$ + - and with this cold snap, sell a lot more. i shop at the Pawley's Is. SC store....I was driving over an hour to shop there, but the prices cannot compete with Trader Joes....I drive an hour and a half to shop there instead. read more

I like this supermarket. I've been shopping at the Myrtle Beach Fresh Market for some time, and I've always been able to get what I want, at a price I'm willing to pay. Plus, the folks there are always relaxed and friendly, which I value as much as good prices and products (perhaps more so). A top notch outfit, in my book. My thanks goes out to all associated with this business. I am grateful for, and have benefited from, your work and service. Keep it up, guys and gals! read more

In the past I have been here and been happy with my purchases, especially their seafood specials on Tuesday. My brother was coming into town for one night so I wanted to make a special meal for him and his girlfriend so I bought 3 fresh tuna steaks, sides, and a bottle of wine to make it special. Spent over $50 for this meal. Come to find out when I get home that they did charge me for the 3 tuna, but gave me only 2!!! I was too far away to return back to the store so my dinner was ruined. I told the manager what happened and she gave me some kind of run around. For such a classy, and pricey place I expected better customer service. I will not be returning... read more

Initially when I moved to this area I was excited about this grocery store as they offered better selection of organic and vegan produce than others. However, over the course of the last 6 months, I have become extremely disappointed to the point I have decided not to go there again. The reason of disappointment is a very poor quality of fruits and vegetables. They are supposed to be fresh but they are stale instead. Almost everything I buy there is of horrible quality. Just now, I had to throw away an entire box of organic aragula that was not even close to the expiration date. Raw peaches had to be thrown away. I couldn't eat pineapple. Same thing with mangoes. Their salad bar and olive bar and cooked items do not taste fresh either. They should have called this grocery store "Stale market." Publix and Lowe's offer much better quality of organic produce read more
