We are moving to Myrtle Beach in the new year and were happy to discover a great Fresh Market here! We picked up lunch and dinner a couple times and saw all the fave things we are used to getting in Atlanta. Highly recommend the ready to make white pizza, and we shared one of the ready to eat salads with fresh berries and pecans. The blueberry scones are a regular fave, and we are trying the delicious looking blueberry yogurt muffins tomorrow. Look forward to being here regularly in a few months! read more

This is a lovely market full of wonderful staple and gourmet items and upon entering its very inviting. Their bakery is amazing with a diverse selection of cookies, whole and by the slice cakes, and pastries. The meat and seafood counter looked wonderful. I stopped by for some cookies by the pound and boy were they good..similar to Italien cookies. Staff was also super friendly. I look forward to coming back and trying other things. read more

Well, for the most part, just to shop, its a great store. Fresh produce, meats, great sales, wonder prepared meal station. We really like this store.....But, we ordered alla cart items for thanksgiving. Im a retired Chef, so I have some standards, I expect over the top flavors when I order catering. The Turkey breast had no flavor, didn't seem to be seasoned. The augratin potatoes-were mush. Like the potatoes used were dehydrated. The cut asparagus was the steam in the bag, half was stems that were so fibrous like wood. That shouldn't even be in the bag. And $8.99 to boot. Was came in a microwaveable or oven-able container. We wont be getting Catering there again. We had to re season everything. Good thing I know what Im doing. We where here from out of town, normally I make my own Holiday meals. read more

Recently moved from New England and was looking for a store that carries some speciality cooking items and I found almost all here! Visited for first time today, found a beautiful well stocked store! Fresh produce, meat and breads. Store is super clean and extremely inviting for a culinary shopping experience. I would recommend stocking more spices (no cayenne to be found). We visited this evening for a few items that we generally enjoy from The Fresh Market. Their pimento cheese, bakery cookies, and toasted bread rounds are our favorite. We got the last original pimento cheese out on display, couldn't locate the toasted bread rounds and the bakery cookies were limited. We also like the Cape Cod Oyster Crackers brand but none were to be found. There appeared to be a lot of boxes of stock at the front of the store and no employees tackling the task. We made a special trip to this location but it will be our last. read more

Myrtle Beach Fresh Market tries to emulate a NYC Whole Foods store simply by charging NYC prices. In the 10-year-behind grocery food scene here in MYR, Fresh Market gave us hope to find something beyond the Walmart/Piggly-Wiggly/FoodLion choices catering to the Chick-fill-A summer crowd. It simply achieves in providing the same choices at a higher price in an, admittedly, clean and welcoming store. At least you will not have to cruise around the parking lot ( Costco style ) for a place to park your Lexus/Mercedes/BMW, worrying to get dinged by a monster truck. Even on NewYears eve, 3pm, they were hardly any customers. Perhaps they drove to Wilmington to visit Trader Joe's or Whole Foods. read more

I went to see if they had Nutpods (pumpkin spice) which is hard to find but thought I'd try. The smell of cinnamon greeted me upon entering (good placement of the pine cones!) and it was great from then on. I received great service from the deli who prepared the roasted chicken salad for me (yummy!) and loved the sea for the free 4-count of croissants. Another worker was very friendly when I asked about nutpods and went out of way to help me get an answer. Really I just loved the ambiance. I felt myself just smiling and walking around. Bought 2 boneless ribeye steaks and cooked them last night. Steaks were very good, but pricey, $40 for the two steaks. Also purchased a package of 4 bagels for 3.99, so a buck a bagel, about average, and purchased their fresh salmon cream cheese spread. This had bones as well as chunk of salmon, including the fish scales. Difficult to eat. Who wants to pick salmon bones and fish scales out of their mouth while eating a bagel. Totally ridiculous. You know going into the fresh market that things are going to be expensive but you generally get great service. Not today! I stood at the deli counter waiting for the clerk to wait on me though he kept looking at me he refused to wait on me until another customer pointed him directly to me. I asked for cheese and meat that were clearly advertised on a sign. The deli clerk told me that the cheese slicer was cleaned and off for the night and that they didn't carry bologna- he was rude and unprofessional and I left to shop elsewhere. read more

Beautiful market with deli, fresh meat, produce and specialty items. Deli serves made to order sandwiches and has prepared food ready to go if you're not in the mood to cook or go out to eat. The Rotisserie chicken meal deal with 2 sides and corn bread is an excellent choice! Clean, well merchandised, friendly service and calm environment all add to the experience of shopping here. I was asked to give more details about the lack of weigh scales in produce....I asked an employee why there was no scale...he said "they just don't have them". I surmised it is a way to get me to just pick up the batch of whatever or just keep tossing apples in my cart...If I could see the weight and know the cost, I likely would buy enough, not too much. As for the firewood....about $5.00 per small piece is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. You could hire a local to bring a pick up load for 75$ + - and with this cold snap, sell a lot more. i shop at the Pawley's Is. SC store....I was driving over an hour to shop there, but the prices cannot compete with Trader Joes....I drive an hour and a half to shop there instead. read more

What a great place to shop. We were really getting frustrated by the lack of a decent grocery store in the MB area till we found this store. It tucked away off Kings Hwy and 78st behind the trees. The manager Joshlyn was great to us after we forgot the meat we had brought for New Year's Eve. It was our fault as we left it in the cart in the parking lot. She helped us out with the price. In the past I have been here and been happy with my purchases, especially their seafood specials on Tuesday. My brother was coming into town for one night so I wanted to make a special meal for him and his girlfriend so I bought 3 fresh tuna steaks, sides, and a bottle of wine to make it special. Spent over $50 for this meal. Come to find out when I get home that they did charge me for the 3 tuna, but gave me only 2!!! I was too far away to return back to the store so my dinner was ruined. Initially when I moved to this area I was excited about this grocery store as they offered better selection of organic and vegan produce than others. However, over the course of the last 6 months, I have become extremely disappointed to the point I have decided not to go there again. The reason of disappointment is a very poor quality of fruits and vegetables. They are supposed to be fresh but they are stale instead. Almost everything I buy there is of horrible quality. Just now, I had to throw away an entire box of organic aragula that was not even close to the expiration date. Raw peaches had to be thrown away. I couldn't eat pineapple. Same thing with mangoes. Their salad bar and olive bar and cooked items do not taste fresh either. They should have called this grocery store "Stale market." Publix and Lowe's offer much better quality of organic produce read more
