This place was great. We were on a beach trip for about a week and did all our grocery shopping here. They have great deals and good quality items. We were able to save a lot of money by shopping here and not eating out every meal. Finding everything was easy and checkout was smooth. Our cashier was very kind and friendly to our kids as well. It was a great experience and shopping can be tough with all the kids but we were efficient. We will definitely be shopping here while we are at the beach from now on. read more

Used to shop at Walmart Started using Kroger save over $100 a week and Kroger is so much cleaner faster and fresher

I and three of my buddies vacation and golf in north myrtle beach every year. We stay in a condo and cook most meals and this is the first time we shopped in this Kroger in a few years. The store is clean and there are ample tags for specials in most aisles . There are also many extra personnel cleaning and stocking shelves while helping shoppers find product in the store. We were disappointed in that they had no ham shanks or pork butt meat for the weekend, expected to come in on Monday, we went to food lion and they had the items. The cashier was friendly and we were able to take advantage of specials by scanning a store card while checking out. The full service cashiers also had baggers putting all items in bags and loading them up your cart. read more

On vacation and needed to pick up a couple of things. Kroger was convenient to where we were staying on the beach. People were friendly in pointing me in the right direction, as I was looking for flowers. Also the pharmacy was staffed with people that were extremely helpful. read more

Ya know, it's Kroger. What can you say? I can see I was super excited to see a Kroger in the south. I can also say that as a northern transplant, I was super excited to find Red Gold products (canned tomatoes straight outta the Hoosier state). I wish they also stocked the Red Gold salsa. I'd be making trips to the NMB Kroger all the dang time. Seriously, this Kroger has a great selection of produce, local items, vegan, vegetarian, and everything in between. I was impressed with the cleanliness, the parking lot, and the ease of getting in/out of the parking lot. This was a good experience, and I'll be coming back the next time I visit Myrtle. read more

Very dirty and out of stock on many items I was looking for. Donuts were covered with mold and they still were dated one week out. Gross! Several associates were standing around chatting and not one person acknowledged us in the store. I would get better service from Wal-Mart. Generally vegan friendly store. Their produce section is always well stocked, the prices are competitive, and the produce is fresh. They have limited vegan chez selection, but a decent vegan ice cream selection. Their bakery goods contain casein but do not warn "Milk" on them, this is a national Kroger problem. They, however, have an éclair prepackaged that is accidently vegan and is really good. Their Psst brand wheat bread even states on the package that it is vegan!! They finally started carrying Just Mayo but then put it on clearance, so if they do not have it be sure to complain if they started to discontinue it after only a month. This is the only store we shop at when in town other than we still get our shelf stable Soy Milk at Dollar Tree. read more

This is a fairly nice Kroger. The store is usually very clean and I've noticed that the staff is quite friendly, while also staying busy. Produce and other items are usually very fresh. I imagine this to be so because of the amount of traffic passes by on main Street. They also offer online shopping and pick up service very similar to Walmart's service, as well as multiple self checkout kiosks. King in your phone number so check out, as opposed to carrying another loyalty card, is a nice alternative, read more

I stupidly stopped in here again. Had the SAME experience as before. The person manning the self-check out grabs a woman with a full basket and proceeds to check her out as if she were at a regular station. I had a problem with some produce and had to wait for her to finish. Don't know who the manager is here but they clearly are NOT training the staff. Avoid this grocery store, go to Bi-Lo across the street or Publix down the street. SORRY service. read more

This is where to go for your shopping if you're coming to NMB on vacation! Kroger's has a great selection of brands, the aisles are wide, the staff is super friendly and the store seems clean. There is a large selection of organic and natural foods in the far right aisle near the produce, which include supplements/vitamins. Also mixed in with the regular products are soy, tofutti, and organic items which is great. Their selection of wine is pretty broad- I spoke with a wine sales guy who was stocking shelves and he was very helpful with my questions. They have a whole aisle of beer yet not too many craft selections. They also have a wide variety of cheeses which surprised me (don't ask why!) Also check out the clearance section near the front, next to the vitamin section. read more

Horrible customer service... Horrible selection/out of stock on a lot of merchandise.

I shop here weekly. I am handicapped and need to use a scooter-cart to shop. There are very helpful associates that get items for me that are on high places or are too heavy for me. Then there are associates at checkout who appear to be more interested in leaving. They do not acknowledge you with a smile like some do and every week the same bagger is there and EVERY week I have to tell him to bag light as I can't carry heavy bags in. Does it work? Nope! He and another bagger seem to be the only ones there and BOTH never remember me or understand what BAG LIGHT means. DON'T PUT TWO HALF GALLONS IN ONE BAG! I constantly have to change bags or rearrange bags in my trunk. Frustrated the neck out of me. Don't tell me to go to another checker because he moves from checker to checker....I've tried it. What is so hard? There used to be people on that were on the ball and remembered, helped and were pleasant...guess they left for better jobs! read more

NIce sotre, nice layout... on par with kroger's usual over priced items (with or without the kroger card). I wanted fruit... checked out the precut trays.... crazy over priced, so I figured I could manage cutting my own fruit. Got the grapes, 1.99 for the bag... they weren't the freshest I've seen.... but I picked the best I could find, and they looked better than the packaged ones. Got them home - some had mold on them already. Awesome (sarcasm). washed them up... ate them over the next few days... threw them out after three days. Bought a mustard... it expires in wo weeks (not like mustard expires.... but, french's suggests a 12 month shelf life... I think at 2 weeks pre-shelf departure it's time to discount / not sell at regular price. Selection was good, they don't carry UDI's gluten freebread... that could just be the region - so I went with the only gluten free bread left call it cardboard brand. we picked up the rest of hte essentials to get us through the week... not to bad... but i think had we stayed longer we would have tried the grocer accross the street next. read more

Can't believe I'm actually reviewing a grocery store but this place is awesome! The staff act like they've known you all their life and are so so helpful. The store itself has a very nice selection of anything you'd need to compliment your pantry when on vacation. And they're reasonable (not trying to break the bank like some of the "convenience stores") and they're easy to find. I'd rather go here any day than to Walmart or a convenience store. Keep this Krogers alive. A great place to shop! read more

This Kroger is great if you like deals. They always seem to have closeout items, often healthy and organic food (yay) on sale. They even have a section near the front of the store full of marked down items. Produce prices are usually pretty good here and there's often bread on sale (that yummy take-and-bake loaves) for under $1. It seems like every week they run some good deals on their ad, and their coupon app is easy to use. Sometimes when I go it is crazy crowded with tourists, but the lines are never that bad and the staff is friendly and helpful if you need help finding something (atleast in my experience so far) . Anyways, good place to go if you're looking for deals and know how to shop smart and use coupons/sales. The only problem I have is that I never know whether it is called Kroger or Kroger's. :D read more
