The first time was due to an oil line that failed and the second time was after the first rebuild due to a faulty piston from the manufacturer at no fault of the shop. The issues occurred during COVID and buying a new motor for the boat wasn't an option due to manufacturing shipping timelines, so we had no choice but to rebuild. We did our research and read many reviews about shops all over in Arizona and California where rebuilds just seem to take a whole lot longer than people expect, which is what we had wanted to avoid with a new motor. After much consideration, we chose Yuma Marine to do the repairs. My dad, who was an avid boater, had a ton of trust in Erin working with him for years before he passed, and Erin always took good care of him and was even able to help solve issues my dad could not. Our first rebuild was a little frustrating to say the least because it took so much longer than it should have but Yuma Marine absolutely made up for it. Erin not only was sincerely apologetic but discounted us significantly due to the delays. When the piston failed and the motor blew the second time, we were all devastated and in absolute shock. Erin and his shop went above and beyond to not only find the issue within a day and complete the repairs very quickly, but he even used some of his own parts that he bought and had built for his boat to get our family back on the water as quickly as possible. We have now had our boat back for almost 2 years and she is running the best she ever has, and we could not be happier and have nothing but good things to say about Erin and Yuma Marine. Erin even continues to check in on us still on a regular basis, and we are so appreciative of Yuma Marine and their work.

I called him out of the blue from Texas, asking if he could help me with a pre-purchase inspection of a boat. He helped me by sharing with me the things to look for before he even committed to doing any work for me. He coordinated receiving the boat, making small repairs (largely to help with transport and merely oil and a new water impeller as the date of the last change was unknown and it's an older engine), and being the steward of the boat between purchase and transport. He has been: (1) responsive...calling me with every step and texting me pictures of the work....which I never even asked for; (2) honest and fair...sharing invoices of all work done, parts costs, and never trying to sell me anything, but allowed me to make choices for options; (3) clean...he has the boat in tip-top shape after the work done; (4) thorough...he has provided way more information than I even knew I needed, labelled multiple-sized plugs to match up, and coordinated third-party suppliers with items requested; (5) prompt...handling work within days and within my timeline for transport; and, last but not least, (6) skilled/knowledgeable...he provided us with task lists and protected our boat for transport out of state. The employees at Yuma Marine and Erin saved us a great deal of time and money with his acts of going above and beyond in every area. We are thrilled we called on Erin. I cannot recommend Yuma Marine highly enough. If we ever end up in Yuma, AZ from Austin, TX, I'll definitely go introduce myself to my new friends at Yuma Marine!

I don't believe you can rent boats or jet skis, but if you have your own, take them! There are a couple boat launches and slips you can rent, or else lot of boats were tied to the "beach". Our friends have a fishing boat so we took it out on the river and back into a couple lakes that weren't heavily trafficked by the jet skiers or wakeboarders scaring off all the fish. Caught a few fish, only one being big enough to keep and eat (a delicious bass!) There's a store that seems to have plenty of supplies of you've forgotten anything. The pool is an ok size. There's a game room with ping pong tables and maybe something else but I can't remember. I'm not sure of it was still hidden shores property, but there are lots of trails out in the desert for ATV action. The restaurant was understaffed for such a busy weekend and usually only open fri-sun. Saturday night was all you can eat taco bar for 6.95 and nothing spectacular, but worth 7 bucks. Monday morning was all you can eat pancakes for 3 bucks, also nothing spectacular but worth the 3 bucks for the 2 pancakes I could actually finish.

Last but not least the reason why we can sit on the beach in the sand and order drink or food because beach is a public land never to be sold or profiting from it. There is only 1 place in the Hamptons New York that was grandfathered in 1908 and still operating today on the beach and the resort owns that area of Beach. So they have no right to control the beach or who's on it!!!

Another 6 months goes by and she asked for more money I pay 6 months in advance more time goes by I am finally able to sell the property during the whole time that had been vacant it it been checked on frequently and I'm talking more than once a month everything was fine as of February 2017 at the end of March I have my realtor go over to get it ready to sell it has been vandalized I call my agent I am now denied the claim because they don't insure vacant property when I call my agent back to inform that they denied me she said that she was really sorry to hear that but wasn't much she could do. Somehow I have to come up with $35,000 for damages. It makes me sick to my stomach knowing that I have been with that company for over a decade. When I moved to San Diego of course I didn't need any insurance, but when I received and needed insurance for a property that was in Yuma who do I call, the agency that I've been dealing with for over a decade. Except now it's run by a woman named Liz Laster. Poor customer service does not even begin to explain what I am dealing with right now. update... I am in litigation with the Department of Insurance over this matter I have two attorney's working on it and this woman sends me a notice telling me she has cancelled my policy effective immediately. This woman and her agency is a nightmare. I will update this review as it progresses

I finally got it started while the dude was off fetching the third wave runner...that one wouldn't start either...finally got that one started after an hour and the dude told my husband that once he got it out there and opened it up it will run fine. It didn't and by the time my husband limped it back in the dude was gone. Called the dude said it doesn't work, he told us to beach it and he'd come get it. An hour later the second one stopped working. Called the dude again to inform as he still hadn't picked up the first one. He asked if we wanted him to bring another one or do we want a refund...by this time it's almost 3:00 so we opted for the refund. Dude said cool, I'll be right there. We sat there for 90 minutes and some other guy shows up to retrieve one of the skis and gave us back our cash deposit but he didn't have our refund. He says he will talk to the boss and he will be right back to retrieve the second ski as he only had a single trailer cuz he was scared to drive a double. We couldn't get anyone to come pick up the second broke down pos for another 2 1/2 hours and they only showed then because we told them we were loading the ski up in our truck and they could meet up with us to get it or we could bring it to them. They told us that taking it would constitute theft (yet somehow them renting out a broken pos and not refunding our money isn't theft?) yet if we had left the ski there and something happened to it we would be held responsible. They stole our money ($370) and stole a huge chunk of our family time behind shady business practices and a total lack of respect and decency! The wave runners were in really bad shape, looked as if they had been in someone's backyard for years, sun beaten and filthy. The life vests were sunbaked and falling apart in our hands. They wanted cash deposit and cash for rental, that should have been our first clue. We are fair, honest, hardworking people that just wanted to meet up at the river (my husband is working in Phoenix right now and the kids and I live in California) and show our 17 year olds a good time can be had without modern technology. The delivery dude said his boss was in the hospital and he was just trying to keep business going for him. We never saw delivery dude again and as it turns out the "hospitalized" boss answered the phone around 5:00 and told me that we refused replacement skis and he wasn't refunding. Moral of the story.......Don't do business with captain d's lest you get taken by these pirates!!!

My fiancé passed away unexpectedly one month after we purchased the trailer and I had no use for it without him. A sales representative from JR Motors saw my post and reached out to me with big promises of a quick consignment sale and a decent pay off towards my loan after it was all said and done. I was told to take out a separate loan to pay the trailer loan balance down to the consignment pay off price so it would be a quick and easy transaction when they sold it. "I will not see you wrong." They even went to the campsite where I had the trailer stored and picked it up and brought it to their lot. (At my expense.) I was told, "we're gonna get this thing sold." Fast-forward to a year later and a few offers that supposedly "fell through" I was informed that they could not sell the trailer and I needed to get it picked up. I asked for proof of these said offers and was never provided that. And was offered an extremely lowball amount of money for JR Motors to buy my trailer outright. My only assumption is that the profit margin was not large enough for them and so they weren't aggressive with trying to sell the trailer. I was later informed by another JR Motors employee that the sales representative who approached me regarding the consignment, should have never brought my trailer onto the lot because of what I owed versus what they felt like they could sell it for (and make a decent profit.) Apparently they don't keep tabs on what their employees do and so I suffered the consequences which resulted in a year's worth of depreciation on my trailer while interest continued to accrue on my loan. This was a very difficult situation for me due to the fact that I live in California and my trailer was out in Arizona at the time and I had just experienced a super tragic life altering event. A year later, I had no other choice, but to voluntarily surrender the trailer to the bank. Lesson learned for me. Shame on you JR Motors. Keep a better eye on your sales representatives and make sure that they are not making promises that your business cannot keep.
