Ron thoroughly explained everything in detail and then let me know the approximate costs prior to beginning work. He gave me a project maximum cost which he did end up staying under upon completion. Ron completed his work and patched up the walls in a reasonable amount of time. The wall patching isn't perfect but he explained how to finish the walls even better with a few items from Home Depot which was helpful. In the end, the final product looked great! If you are looking for a seasoned TV installer who really knows how to get it done, Ron is your man!

We contacted him on Friday and he was ready to do the job the next day! I would recommend Ron as he is very knowledgeable and does a nice job of cleaning up the mess afterwards. U didn't give 5 stars because he wasn't able to put the outlet plate cover back on due to patch work not completely dry yet before he left.

I'd definitely recommend using Cable Alternatives! If you are even slightly considering "cutting…read morethe cord", contact John to come to your home to give you a free estimate. We had 5 TV's, 2 of which needed updating to Roku TVs, while the others needed Roku devices. We were able to use our digital antenna too! Our TV monthly bill is now $0 (zero!!). We have always been basic TV users watching local TV channels, and streaming movies via internet. We didn't need all the other unnecessary channels you'd get through Charter Spectrum. Now we get to customize our channels to watch what we want. There are literally hundreds of options to watch now, if not more than what we had before. The only added feature we may add to the system is Sling so we can watch our ESPN for football games. That is roughly $20-25/month. John stands behind his work and goes above and beyond your expectations. Great follow through to be sure you are completely satisfied. I highly recommend this company!

So I was intrigued by an article in my August 2017 Consumer Reports magazine. The front cover…read morefeatured cutting the cord. I was interested since my bill for satellite was now double from when I subscribed to it exactly four years ago. The providers entice you with introductory offers that only last for a year or so. I read the several page article which was very compelling. It even estimated what you would pay depending on different options. A gal in my book club just cut the cord and suggested I look into doing the same. My daugher was in town for the weekend and I discussed my thoughts on cutting the cord and getting an over the air (OTA) antenna. I already have wifi together with HULU, Netflix, Amazon etc. She told me that she only uses an antenna together with her streaming apps. Therefore I started investigating what my options were. I wanted to replace my satellite DVR with another that would that would record at least 4 stations at a time and had enough memory to handle my recordings. I wanted the DVR accessible to my other televisions and wanted a mobile app to set and view my recordings from anywhere. I wanted the ability to stream Netflix Hulu Amazon etc. and I wanted an OTA antenna that would provide me with all the local stations and then some and would not be obtrusive. I almost purchased an amplified indoor antenna but then decided to look into an outdoor antenna that would mount on the satellite mount. I researched an April 1, 2017 article in the Minneapolis Star and Tribune which also discussed the benefits of cutting the cord. The article featured an antenna distributor. I then went to Yelp to see if I could find reviews for antenna installers. There were at least two and I talked to both companies. After discussing my needs with John I decided to go with Cable Alternatives. John was extremely knowledgeable and could provide not only the antenna but the equipment and set it up for no additional charge and no additional cost to me as long as he provided the equipment. John was also very courteous and answered all my questions and concerns. He would make this very easy for me! He knew exactly what I wanted to accomplish and how to implement it. He thought the Tivo Bolt and Mini's were a great choice. I called my satellite TV provider and canceled the service a week out and scheduled John for the day that my service was terminated. John's installer Andrew is absolutely fabulous! He was at my house promptly at 9 o'clock in the morning on the day of termination. He installed all of the equipment helped me register for the Tivo service and equipment online and installed the antenna, TiVo Bolt DVR and my TiVo mini's for the additional televisions in the house. Everything was hooked up to my existing cable and linked to the wifi router. He got all the equipment working and showed me how to navigate the system. What a great guy! He is extremely personable and extremely knowledgeable! He indicated that he has done hundreds of these installations and he was very diligent in his endeavor. I have now enjoyed my first couple of days after cutting the cord and I love the equipment I love the installation I get great reception. I may miss a few cable channels but not the cost. I would highly recommend Cable Alternatives if you're thinking about cutting the cord with cable or satellite. Trust me since I have had one or the other for over thirty years and finally am not paying to watch my favorite shows on local TV.

The showroom is even bigger on the inside than it seemed from the outside! I've been seeing ads for…read morethese guys on FB for awhile now, informing me of sales and "scratch n' dent" appliances. So my husband and I decided to swing by one morning to look around for a washing machine. Upon entry, we were promptly greeted by an employee who asked if she could help us with anything, and she directed us to where we could browse washers as well as the scratch n dent area. I asked about installation and she informed us that delivery was a $40 fee and installation $80. That seemed agreeable to us, so we opted to do that. We found a washer we liked for around 40% off the list price new on the manufacturer's website. During checkout we figured out what day/time to have them deliver and install. We declined getting the warranty, though it was offered to us for $120. They taxed the machine and install but not delivery. There was no additional fee for paying by card. The showroom certainly has many options available, and you'll find the usual appliances such as refrigerators, microwaves, ovens/stovetops, dishwashers, washer/dryers, along with chest freezers, mini fridge/wine coolers, water softeners, disposals, dehumidifiers, even an ice machine! They also have a parts department in the back if you need to repair something. There were no shortage of employees inside busy doing stuff. I'm used to so many places nowadays being ghost towns and having trouble flagging down an employee to help that this was honestly a nice surprise. We wanted to ensure we shopped a local business rather than hit up the Best Buy scratch n' dent place our realtor had recommended; no need to support the corporate elite. I used the restroom while there; it's spacious, modern, and they have the nice cushy toilet paper! The installers were prompt about arriving on the scheduled day. We were apparently missing an important couple of parts on our pipes, which they thankfully had on the truck, but it came with an unexpected additional cost of course. They did a sample run to ensure it was working, then left. Our first two washes went wonderfully, no issue. But the third spewed water EVERYWHERE when draining. We called for a follow-up and they scheduled it promptly for next day, free of charge. They were able to diagnose the issue was with our standpipe and advise us on recommended clog specialists to get the issue resolved ASAP.
