Chance

If and when the situation arises and you need to say goodbye to your fur baby please don't do it at a veterinarian office. I have had 3 dogs that have passed over the years and 2 at the clinic. Our 6 yr old Shepherd got ill very quickly and Dr Saiki came to our home. She was very supportive, professional and has a very big heart. Explained everything and was very patient with us. I would not change my option to have our Chance pass in his bed at home with all of us with him. Sad time but easier at home. Thanks Dr Saiki

Not recommended. Doctor Saiki was pretty cold during the visit and did not listen to the wishes we had with our pet's remains.

This is a MUCH better way to go. Dr J and Taylor carry a portable exam room with them (not literally, but that's how I think of it). She's never had to say, "I ran out of those so we'll come back later to finish". Never EVER. She's very well-stocked with everything your pet needs (I have 2 cats, one is 15 years old and he's a sick boy). Dr j knows how much my older cat means to me, and to my absolute amazement, I learned that my cat loves the doc and Taylor. He gets on their lap and purrs and purrs! That's very unusual because he doesn't purr for anyone except me...or so I thought. I think he looks forward to these videos sits because he gets scratched and loved on and he loves the attention. I don't have anything negative to say at all! I'm a 100% happy with the care he is receiving. I understand what's wrong and there are no surprises. Feel free to hit me up with any questions and I'll try my best on the answer. You can't go wrong with this service. Ever since Feline Medical Center closed, I've had a hard time finding a doctor that I like and trust. Dr J and Taylor are those people. They go back into the "exam room" (my master bathroom) and I have zero worries about what's happening. I know that they'll do the right thing. Trust is so important, especially when leaving someone alone and behind closed doors with you fur-baby. I am so glad I found her here on Yelp!

But did not deserve her attitude. And she didn't know what I was going through. My dad, aunt and nephew died within 4 weeks of each other. I had also just moved to a new city where I didn't know anyone. One of my other cats had died at 18. Then the Dr. looks at the same cats teeth, and shook her head and said disgusting. Really?! She said the cat needed blood work and together with the home visit, charged me a few hundred, and said she would have the results on Monday. I didn't hear back from her for a month. When I finally got a hold of her she said she had been sick (BS). I guess her assistants arms were broke. She said my cat was fine, I bet she didn't even do the tests. I see quite a few people like her, fine. I'm not trying to do her harm, I have just been sitting on this for months. She was mean and judgemental.

Last week, with the assistance of Dr. Hedge, I released the spirit of my 17+ years old kitty,…read moreAshie. Ashie had been in the care of Dr. Hedge for the last 3 1/2 years. She suffered from kidney disease. The first time Dr. Hedge came to our house, while she examined Ashie, she kept telling me "talk to her; keep talking to her". And that is when I knew that I had found the right Veterinary for my cat. Dr. Hedge understood the bond that exists between a beloved pet and his/her owner. For the next three years plus Dr. Hedge consistently demonstrated her knowledge, dedication, responsiveness, sensitivity, and compassion. She practiced good sense medicine without the need for frequent expensive tests as I had been used to with my prior Vet; she was always there for Ashie in her time of need - coming to the house within a couple of hours even in a day when she had a flight to catch that evening going on vacation; she was never rushed during her visits and patiently waited as I tried to calm down my temperamental kitty; and finally, the day that I released Ashie, she allowed me as much time as I to say goodbye. When she left she told me I could call her if I needed to talk. A few days after, I took advantage of that kind offer. Dr. Hedge listened to me and reassured me that I had given the best life to Ashie. I was struggling with the fact that during those last moments I had carried Ashie from the sunny spot in the our backyard where she was sitting to the table where her life would end. I was regretting that I didn't think of just going to her and sitting with her while the sedative shot was administered. I felt I had robbed her of a final moment of sunny awareness. I could not get over that regret. Dr. Hedge reminded me that Ashie's life was not just that day; that I should instead think about all the days of sunshine I had given her during 17+ years. It was a simple statement that offered me so much comfort. Ashie was my last Kitty. But if I was younger and had the opportunity of having more little companions, Dr. Hedge would be their only Vet. Thank you, Doctor!
